The aim of this study was to find out the trends of the preparatory year students at King Saud University towards the extension programs provided to them. The researcher followed the analytical descriptive method. The study population consisted of (10,000) male and female students. The study sample was 522 students, , And after the collection and analysis of the data, the study reached the following results: The prevalence of students' knowledge of the mentoring programs was moderate among males with an average of 3.71 and an average of 3.63 and an average of students. Hit (3.72), showed the There were also statistically significant differences in the attitudes of the students towards the extension programs according to the variable of the educational track in favor of the human track, and the absence of statistically significant differences in the attitudes of the students towards the extension programs according to the gender variable. The program aims to attract students 'attention to their diverse programs and students' needs, in addition to the media awareness (video, audio and social media) at the university about the extension programs and the guidance unit in the preparatory year. Through the system of follow-up students, and the work of seminars and publications to develop the attitudes of students towards extension programs.

    The aim of the study was to identify the reasons for using Whatsapp and Snapchat as recognizedby female students and to identify the cultural consequencesof the use of Whatsapp on the behavior of the university students in respect to social and knowledge field, and to identify the cultural consequencesof the use of Snapchat in respect to cultural and educational field and identify the statistically significance differences of the views among the female university students, which are related to the variables of the study: the stage of study and the number of hours of use. the researcher used the descriptive survey approach rely on a questionnaire that consisted of (58) sentences distributed according to the fields of the study, it was applied to a sample of (503) female students of College of Education at King Saud University. Preliminary data of the study showed that 33.2% of the sample used social media daily for more than 6 hours. The study found that the most important reasons for using Whatsapp is to communicate with family, friends and entertainment. They use Snapchat for entertainment, to learn about the cultures of other peoples and to follow up the influential people with experience, and of the cultural consequencesof using Whatsapp on the behavior of the female students in the social field are spreading rumors and mislead others through unreliable advertisements, and in the field of knowledge that Being preoccupied with Whatsapp messages reduces focus on task performance and facilitates the dissemination of ideas easily, and from the cultural consequencesof using Snapchat on the behavior of the female students in the cultural field, the predominance of entertainment and formal interests among female students and its role in dissemination of values contrary to our Islamic values and customs and in the field of education Students are seeing Snapchat as a tool to gain fame and show off and brag about. Given the importance of the role played by the social media in developing the social and intellectual mobility among the female university students, the researcher recommends to pay particular attention to this age group for their keen interest in knowledge to enable them to improve their skills according to their aspirations, thus contributing to the development of their society.   ، ، ، ،

<p>The research tackled the academic intrinsic motivation and its relationship with the emotional intelligence with a sample of the academic overachievers and underachievers of Najran University. The study population consisted of the students of Najran University who are enrolled in the University academic year 2015/2016, during the first semester in the various colleges. The study sample consisted of (423) male and female students; and the study instruments included the emotional IQ which consisted of (54) items, and the academic intrinsic motivation questionnaire, which consisted of (36) items, to identify the overall emotional intelligence degree and the motivation with the students. The results showed that the academic intrinsic motivation and emotional intelligence degrees were high with the university students. Furthermore, the results showed a direct correlational, statistically significant relationship between the academic intrinsic motivation and the emotional intelligence; and there are statistically significant differences between the motivation and emotional intelligence among the academically outstanding and non-outstanding students.</p>

The objective of the study is to identify the reality of listening skills during the lecture and the scientific dialogue among female students of the Faculty of Education at King Saud University. The researchers used the descriptive survey approach. The tool of the study is the questionnaire and was distributed to 130 female students from the College of Education at King Saud University in the second semester of 1436. The study population was 1966 female students in the Faculty of Education by (6,6%). The results of the study showed that the reality of listening skill among female students of the College of Education at King Saud University during the lecture is mostly acceptable and needs more development and attention. The reality of listening skills among female students of the College of Education at King Saud University in scientific dialogue. Among the recommendations of the study is the importance of teaching courses on listening to the stage of university education, paying attention to the evaluation of listening skills of female students of the College of Education at King Saud University.

ABSTRACT The study aims to shed light on the reality of empowering the female students regarding the activities, the extent of engagement, their autonomy, and the academic development among them. In addition, it reveals the empowering requirements from the perspective of the activities’ leadership. The study used the analytical descriptive method, and the tools of the study, and analysed the documents, the questionnaire form and the meetings with the university leaderships. Empowering the female students’ rate for the activities was fifty percent. The cultural activities represented the rate of thirty to forty percent and the social activities represented the rate of 28.38 percent. Secondly, the meetings results showed that the female students are empowered for the activities, which fit their nature and identity. First, they had the rate of 17.14 percent, and the first impediments rated 11.19 percent. Regrading unempowering the female students for the activities, there was no enough number for the competitions. The major requirements for empowering the activities and providing the activities according to the requirements of the female students, their desires and attitudes had the rate of 17.14 percent. The questionnaire showed that the factor of autonomy and assessment rated mathematical average of 1.90 out of 3. It came after the academic development factor, with general mathematical average of 2.18 out of 3. As for the factor of the activities and their fittings, it had the general mathematical average of 1.93 out of 3.

The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) offers Bachelor of Arts major in Mass Communication to provide qualified and effective communicators for the various communication channels in the locality. This study was conducted to look into the need to integrate Ilokano or the local language in the mass communication curriculum of the University of Northern Philippines (UNP). It determined the Ilokano proficiency required by the local media, the Ilokano proficiency of the mass communication students, and whether Ilokano should be offered as a subject in UNP. This is a descriptive survey using questionnaires in gathering the data. Frequency counts, percentages and means were used to interpret the data. This study found out that most of the local media use Ilokano in 81-100% of their programs/publications and that they require personnel with very high Ilokano proficiency specifically in listening, reading, speaking and writing. The students assessed themselves as being highly proficient in Ilokano but average in writing. In particular, their facility in using Ilokano is only average along vocabulary, spelling, grammar, essay and longer composition. Further, students need to develop their facility in using Ilokano for skills needed in the media, such as interviewing, news casting, giving commentaries, program hosting, newswriting, writing advertisements and public service announcements. Students could best develop their Ilokano proficiency through the integration of Ilokano as a subject in the curriculum.Keywords: Communication, curriculum, Ilokano, local media, descriptive method, Philippines

The purpose of this study is to find out the level of the quality of life according to its dimensions, and constructing the measurement of the studying motivation, to display the levels of studying motivation from the part of the university students. The paper tries to find the relationship between quality of life and studying motivation and figure out the presupposition of studying motivation through the quality of life. The relevant descriptive method was adopted in the study. The population of the study is made up of (3466) students. The sample of the study for the first setting was of (465) students, the second setting was of (550) male and female students, they are selected in a random clustered way.  For collecting information, the researchers used two measures: the quality of life is taken and the measures of studying motivation is constructed, the results turned out that the quality of life of students is at an acceptable level. For constructing the measures of studying motivation, the analysis of principles of used dimensions, divided the measurement into three dimensions, it turned out that the studying motivation is at an acceptable level. There are statistical positive evidences for the relation between quality of life and studying motivation. It turned out that quality of life presupposes a remarkable self-dimension in studying motivation. Finally, the researcher in the light of the results, offered some recommendations and suggestions.

The study aimed to identify the reality of crisis management in the University of Islamic Sciences from the students' point of view, and the study relied on the descriptive approach, and the study population consisted of (3500) male and female students admitted to the university, and the study sample reached (373) male and female students, who were chosen In a random way, the results showed that the average dimensions of the reality of crisis management, respectively: the reality of crisis management after its occurrence, with an average of (3.65), then the reality of crisis management before its occurrence, with an average of (3.56), and finally the reality of crisis management during its occurrence, with an average of (3.10), The results also showed the absence of statistically significant differences for the gender variable, and the presence of statistically significant differences for the variable of the academic level in favor of doctoral students, and in light of the results of the study, it recommends the necessity of holding counseling programs and workshops and giving educational lectures by the university for the direction of crises and how Dealing with it, providing a trained and qualified private team at the university for crisis management.

Purpose of the study: The objectives were to investigate and correlate the learning environment of students and the performance of students at the university level. Methodology: The study was descriptive. The study population consisted of the students currently studying at GC Women University Faisalabad. The data were computed using descriptive as well as inferential statistics. The self-developed instrument, Learning Environment and Performance Survey [LEPS], was used. Main Findings: When the learning environment improves the performance of the students also increases strongly. The result showed the weak positive relationship of the learning environment with the performance of urban areas students. On the other hand, there were strong positive relationships of the learning environment with the performance of rural students. Applications of this study: The study may be applied to investigate and improve the students' learning environment. Novelty/Originality of this study: The female students had a better learning environment and significantly improved their achievement scores. Rural students had an insignificant difference in their learning environment and performance.
