An exploratory study was conducted examining the problem of identity and participation among Saudi youth in light of social transformations. The project combined the quantitative and the qualitative curricula and relied on a field study using an electronic questionnaire with a sample of 1318 male and female students from the University of Hail and the participation of 120 students in focus groups during the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year. The research was based on a number of international and local studies and surveys, and its conclusions were compared with their outcomes. The study outlined a set of indicators that showed the growing expression of the national belonging of the Saudi state in the context of an Arab–Islamic civilisation, a moderate view of the West, a balanced vision of reconciling conservatism with a move towards more openness, and a sense of confidence in the state and in the self. The research also found that the low rate of social participation is matched by a full awareness of its importance and a desire to practise it. The study recommended strengthening the gains of young people and developing areas of participation in proportion to the aspirations of those individuals.

The aim of the present study is to identify the effect of Quranic teaching methods on the teaching skills of students of Arabic language departments in Islamic sciences faculties. The two researchers used the partial control experimental design for the control and experimental groups. In light of this design, the department of Arabic language at the University of Babylon was intentionally chosen as the research sample from the research community, which is represented by the faculties of Islamic sciences. The number of the research sample members reached (72) male and female students distributed between two populations (A, B), with (36) male and female students for each of the experimental group and the same for the control group. The two researchers prepared two tools for this research. They were represented by the achievement test in teaching skills consisting of (30) objective paragraphs of the type of multiple choice with three alternatives, and a note card. The experiment was applied in the first semester of the academic year (2019-2020). After applying the research tool and analyzing the results obtained by the two researchers Using the (SPSS) program, the results showed the superiority of the students of the experimental group who study according to the Quranic teaching methods over the students of the control group who study according to the usual method.

Think Pair Share (TPS) as one of cooperative learning has been reported to be potentially used in the empowerment of students’ metacognitive skills. But the report has not been linked to gender differences. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential use of TPS in the empowerment of metacognitive skills of male and female students. This study was conducted in the first semester of 2015/2016 academic year. The research subjects were the students of class X of State Senior High School 6 Malang. The instruments used were an essay test and a rubric of metacognitive skills. The data obtained were then tested for the normality and homogeneity of the data, and further analyzed using Ancova test. The analysis showed a significance value of p = 0.785 or > 0.05 which means the TPS learning has equal potential in empowering metacognitive skills of male and female students. The implementation of TPS learning can provide equal opportunities for male and female students to be involved in learning and provide the same demands to explore learning material.

Identifying the level of suggestibility and emotional thinking among university students is the key aim of this research, as well as identifying the significance of differences according to gender (males - females), and the correlation between the two variables. In order to verify this, the researchers adopted the measure of suggestibility prepared by "Roman Kotov" (2004), Arabized by (Abdul Rahman 2014), where the number of its final paragraphs reached (79) paragraphs, and adopted the scale of emotional thinking prepared by Abdullah 2017). The scale consisted of (27) final paragraphs, and their psychometric characteristics were ascertained, where the two tools were applied to a sample of (160) male and female students who were selected in a stratified random method from four colleges at the University of Baghdad: (College of Political Science and College of Education / Ibn Rushd, College of Engineering, and College of Science), for the academic year 2019-2020. The results of the research showed the following: University students do not have a tendency to suggestibility. There are no differences between (males and females) in suggestibility. University students have emotional thinking. There are no differences between (male and female) in emotional thinking.
