Aim/Purpose: In this study, the researchers investigated whether the out-of-class learning approach could help the students to attain any valuable learning outcomes for cybersecurity learning and could enhance the perceived value of cybersecurity education among the students. Background: Cybersecurity learning poses challenges for its students to learn a complicated subject matter and the students may be intimidated by the challenging courses in cybersecurity programs. Therefore, it is essential for the faculty members to devise some mechanisms to promote cybersecurity learning to increase its student retention. The mechanism suggested by this study was the out-of-class learning approach. Methodology: The researchers in this study employed a content analysis and adopted a semiotic method to analyze qualitative data. The researchers also conducted crosstabulation analyses using chi-square tests to detect the significant differences in the emerging learning outcomes from the two different out-of-class learning activities investigated in this study. Contribution: This study addressed the difficulty of cybersecurity education and proposed a viable mechanism to promote the student learning in such a complicated subject matter. Findings: For cybersecurity education, the out-of-class learning approach is a viable pedagogical mechanism that could lead the students to several learning outcomes, including connecting them to the real-life scenarios related to the cybersecurity profession, guiding them to their career choices and development, stimulating their intellectual growth, creating their justification of learning, and raising their cybersecurity awareness. Recommendations for Practitioners: The instructors of any cybersecurity programs should incorporate some out-of-class learning activities into the courses in their programs, especially the introductory-level courses. Additionally, it is important to coordinate the out-of-class learning activities with the in-class lessons to enable the students to justify what they have learned in their classrooms and motivate them to learn more. Recommendation for Researchers: Researchers could look beyond in-class learning and laboratory learning to investigate the impacts of out-of-class learning activities on cybersecurity education to help the students to attain better learning outcomes. Impact on Society: By promoting cybersecurity education, universities and colleges could attain a higher retention rate of the students in their cybersecurity programs. The higher retention rate of the students in cybersecurity programs would help to ease the critical shortage of cybersecurity talent. Future Research: Future research could explore the impacts of other out-of-class learning activities on cybersecurity learning; for example: job shadowing, attending cybersecurity conferences, internship, developing cybersecurity systems or tools for actual customers, working on cybersecurity research with faculty members. Additionally, future studies could investigate the effects of the out-of-class learning approach on promoting other academic programs that are characterized by intensely complex and technical nature, similar to cybersecurity programs.

This research discusses the application of the SSCS type problem based learning model to improve student learning outcomes in class X1 AK1 SMKN 1 Sungailiat. The research method used in this study is PTK that is done with the type of search, solve, create, and share (SCSS) in the subject of Accounting material about closing journal. The findings show: 1) the SSCS type problem based learning model can improve student learning outcomes, this can be proven by comparing the test scores in each cycle. 2) this learning model is also able to overcome miss-matches, especially on social concepts that are abstract and require real evidence from real life to brought into the learning process. 3) obstacles encountered related to the application of this learning method namely: a) the teacher involved was not accustomed to using PBL learning models with this type of SSCS before,  so that it had a little difficulty in applying it. After several meetings, the teacher is accustomed to adapt in optimizing their use for learning activities of students in the classroom. b) students want the learning phase and the experiments they do are designed to be more interesting and interactive, and contain examples of real activities that are more related to the material discussed.

                                                       ABSTRACT Implementation of learning at the university level is expected to be conducted interactively and motivate students to participate actively in learning activities. But the reality in learning, still found learning problems about the low learning activities and student learning outcomes. While as an educator, lecturers should be able to know the problems in the learning process or lectures as an effort to improve the quality of learning. Solution to overcome the problem is by giving learning with Contextual Teaching and Learning approach (CTL) through observation method applied in Basic Ecology subject.The purpose of this research is to improve student achievement in Basic Ecology subject through learning with CTL approach and observation method. Expectations from the results of this study is as an information or input that the strategy and learning model with the method of observation can overcome the lack of activity and low student learning outcomes caused by the dominance of female students and the diversity of high school students so that the classroom climate is often noisy and reduced concentration at the time of learning. This research is experimental research, with one class of experiment of Biology student of FKIP Univet Bantara Sukoharjo second semester of class of 2016/2017 taking Basic Ecology subject. The data were collected using observation and test sheets. Technique of data analysis using T test analysis. From the analysis with T test Paired sample for two groups of dependent or pairs on pretest and postes data obtained Asymp results. Sig (2 -tailled) below 0.05 is 0.00 then Ho is rejected. This means that there are significant differences in learning outcomes before (pretest) and after CTL learning with the method of Observation (postes) in Basic Ecology subject especially on the subject matter of Population and Bird Diversity. Thus, it can be concluded that learning CTL with Observation method can improve student achievement in Basic Ecology subject especially material Population or bird diversity. AbstractOne of the problems of education in Indonesia is the low quality at every level and unit of education, mainly primary and secondary education. Based on observations made by researchers at SMAN 3 Selong, it was shown that the learning outcomes of Grade X MIPA-3 students obtained the lowest classical completeness, which was 37.5%, so that they had not yet achieved the classical completeness set, namely students who achieved KKM ≥ 85%. This is because teachers still use the conventional approach that is dominated by the lecture method. To overcome this, we need a learning approach that can improve student learning outcomes by connecting students' initial knowledge with the material being studied, where students are more active in the teaching and learning process. One approach that can overcome the above is the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) cooperative learning model approach. This study aims to determine the application of the TGT type learning model in improving student learning activities and achievement on the trigonometric subject matter in class X MIPA-3 SMAN 3 Selong academic year 2019/2020 with 36 students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research consisting of planning, implementation, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The results of the study show that students are more active in the teaching and learning process, and there is an increase in mathematics learning achievement in class X MIPA-3 SMAN 3 Selong by applying a cooperative model type of TGT on trigonometric subject matter learning. This improvement in achievement can be seen from the increase in the percentage of students completeness in classical learning in the first cycle with classical completeness of 65.71%, the second cycle with classical completeness of 76.47%, and in the third cycle with classical completeness of 90.09%. Besides that, after implementing the TGT type cooperative model, student learning activities increase each cycle with active, active, and very active criteria. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of the TGT type cooperative model in trigonometric subject matter learning can improve student learning activities and achievement Class X MIPA-3 SMAN 3 Selong in the academic year 2019/2020.  AbstrakSalah satu permasalahan pendidikan di Indonesia adalah rendahnya mutu pada setiap jenjang dan satuan pendidikan, khususnya pendidikan dasar dan menengah. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan peneliti di SMAN 3 Selong menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa kelas X MIPA-3 memperoleh ketuntasan klasikal yang paling rendah yaitu sebesar 37,5% sehingga belum mencapai ketuntasan klasikal yang ditetapkan yaitu siswa yang mencapai KKM ≥ 85%. Hal ini disebabkan karena guru masih menggunakan pendekatan konvensional yang di dominasi metode ceramah. Untuk mengatasinya, diperlukan suatu pendekatan pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menghubungkan pengetahuan awal siswa dengan materi yang sedang dipelajari, dimana siswa lebih aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat mengatasi hal tersebut di atas adalah pendekatan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournaments (TGT).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran tipe TGT dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi pokok trigonometri  di kelas X MIPA-3 SMAN 3 Selong tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 dengan jumlah siswa 36 orang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluasi dan refleksi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar dan terjadi peningkatan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X MIPA-3 SMAN 3 Selong dengan menerapkan model kooperatif tipe TGT pada pembelajaran materi pokok trigonometri. Peningkatan prestasi ini dilihat dari meningkatnya presentase ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal pada siklus I dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 65,71%, siklus II dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 76,47% dan pada siklus III dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 90,09%. Selain itu setelah mengimplementasikan dengan model kooperatif tipe TGT, aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat tiap siklusnya dengan kriteria aktif, aktif, dan sangat aktif.Dari hasil  penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif tipe TGT pada pembelajaran materi pokok trigonometri dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas X MIPA-3 SMAN 3 Selong tahun pelajaran 2019 / 2020.

Based on observations made on 4 sepetember in class X SMA Islam Lumajang known that 75% of students said that geography subjects boring because too many concepts that must be memorized because they do not understand the benefits of geography lessons for real life, also rarely make observations out class. Strong indications that underlie the difficulties of students to understand the material presented, among others, due to lack of ability of students in solving the problem of Geography. It can be seen from the activity as well as student learning outcomes that show there are only 3% of students who look active, while others less active, and the ability of students in solving problems there are only 7 students who can solve the problem well. The ability of students in solving the problem is still lacking this can be seen from the observation that says there are only 5 of 40 students who can solve the problem while the 90% still need guidance and training in solving problems. To overcome the problem of learning quality, then compiled geography learning by implementing problem-based learning to improve student activity and learning outcomes in understanding environmental problems. The purpose of this study is to describe whether the problem-based learning can improve student activities and learning outcomes in solving environmental problems in class X SMA Islam Lumajang. This research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 action cycles. In this study data obtained in the form of student learning activities, the value of discussion results, and the value of student learning outcomes. The instructional strategy applied in learning and appropriate subject matter of Chemistry taught will be able to provide convenience for students in understanding the subject matter of Chemistry, so that learning experience will be more meaningful for students. One of the existing learning strategies is metacognition which is the students' knowledge related to their weaknesses and strengths in learning and self-regulation during learning activities such as planning, process arrangement, evaluation, commitment, minimization, procedure and conditioning. Students who have various dimensions of high metacognition will try to learn various ways to make it easy for them that learning activities are easy and fun to achieve high learning results. Thus, there is a correlation between the metacognition of students in learning with efforts to improve student learning outcomes in Chemistry subjects. The increasing of appliying various dimensions of students metacognition in learning will have an impact on improving student learning outcomes in Chemistry subjects. In the fact, the student who use / apply their metacogical dimensions in learning Chemistry subjects, students will be happy, eager and easy in learning Chemistry subjects, able to assess and predict their ability in learning Chemistry subjects process that ultimately students can achieve high learning outcomes in Chemistry subjects.

Students are difficult to capture and master the assigned material, this is because students rarely engage actively in learning. Aktivitas siswa dalam belajar kurang optimal karena sumber belajar yang digunakan umumnya terbatas pada guru dan buku teks, kurang melibatkan sumber belajar nyata di lapangan sehingga mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Students in learning activities less than optimal due to the use of learning resources are generally limited to teachers and textbooks, not involving real-life learning resources that affect student learning outcomes. Sebagai alternatif pemecahan masalah tersebut, digunakan metode kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium. As an alternative to solving the problem, use the method in the laboratory practical activities. Keunggulan metode ini adalah siswa mendapat kesempatan menguji dan melaksanakan pada keadaan nyata, yang diperoleh dari pembelajaran teori. The advantages of this method is that students have the opportunity to test and implement in a real situation, which is derived from learning theory. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar biologi. This study aims to improve biological activity and learning outcomes. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar biologi siswa. Based on the results of research can be summed up in a lab practicum activities can enhance biological activity and student learning outcomes. Saran peneliti agar mengimplementasikan metode ini dalam pembelajaran biologi. Advice of researchers to implement this method in the teaching of biology. This research was motivated by lack of civics student learning outcomes. Low learningoutcomes are caused by: (a) students do not really follow civics and they talk to each othersawaktu teacher explains the lesson; (B) students are not active in learning; (C) if the teacherasking questions, very few students who answered; and (d) very few students were askedabout the learning that has not been understood, in addition to the learning activities in theclassroom dominated by teachers and children are much more powerful. This study aims toimprove learning outcomes civics through cooperative learning model NHT. This study is aclass action, which was conducted in 018 primary schools Ukui 1 Subdistrict Ukui. This studyfocused on students' learning outcomes data civics. Based on the results of the study revealedthat the civic education learning outcomes of students has increased. This is evidenced by:Improved student learning outcomes at the preliminary data the number of students who passare 15 students (50%), increasing in the first cycle increased to 26 students (87%) and incycle II further increased up to 27 students (90 %).

Abstractlearning process  good teaching  can create a situation that allows children to learn, so that is the starting point of the success of teaching. The low quality of education depends on the management of the teaching and learning process which can be interpreted as being less effective in the teaching and learning process, the causes: (1) Low learning activities, (2) Inadequate facilities and infrastructure. The case in Solok City Middle School, the low level of student learning activities allegedly influenced the low student learning outcomes. Based on observations on class VIII A which included the superior class had not yet achieved the desired completeness, the class with the least completeness was class VIII B which was 33.33% with KKM 65 criteria. Seeing this reality, teachers were required to motivate students and foster enthusiasm student learning. Therefore, to foster students' enthusiasm for learning, the author tries to apply student learning activities through discussion methods in small groups.Keywords: Learning, discussion AbstrakProses belajar mengajar yang baik dapat menciptakan situasi yang mmemungkinkan anak belajar, sehingga merupakan titik awal keberhasilan pengajaran. Rendahnya mutu pendidikan tergantung pada pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar yang dapat diartikan kurang efektifnya proses belajar mengajar, penyebabnya: (1) Rendahnya aktifitas belajar,  (2) Sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai. Kasus pada SMP Negeri % Kota Solok rendahnya aktifitas belajar siswa diduga berpengaruh terhadap rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan pengamatanpada  kelas VIII A yang termasuk kelas unggul belum mencapai ketuntasan yang di inginkan, sedangkan kelas yang paling sedikit ketuntasannya adalah kelas VIII B yaitu sebanyak 33,33 % dengan kriterian KKM 65. Melihat kenyataan tersebut, guru dituntut untuk dapat memotivasi siswa dan menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa. Karena itu, untuk menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa, penulis mencoba untuk menerapkan aktivitas belajar siswa melalui metode diskusi dalam kelompok kecil. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran, diskusi

Many students find it difficult to accept fraction material from the teacher because student are more receptive to material through the surrounding environment such as fruit, bread, marbles, stones, etc. The purpose of this researchs to determine student learning outcome whether thereis influence when use the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model of mathematics subject matter in the 4th grade SDN Jombatan IV Jombang. This type of research is PreExperimental Design, the design used is one-group pretest -posttest design. The study focus on student learning outcomes in fraction material with the CTL model. Based on research that has been done, it can seen than more than 90% of students can achieve KKM value. In testing the test-t if the value of t is greater than t table then the hypothesis is accepted. It is evident from the results of the study that tcount = 5.344219271 and ttable = 2.178812827, which means that it has a strong signification shows that there is an influencer on student learning outcomes. The one-party test, it turns out that tcount falls in the area of acceptance of Ha, which the result test shows menunjukkan thitung ˃ ttabel so that the conclusion are Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be said that learning uses Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) can affect of student learning outcomes.

Interest in learning and the use of textbooks are two aspects that are very influential and have a relationship with student learning outcomes. This can be seen in the learning activities in the XI IPS class of SMAN 1 Luhak Nan Duo on economic subjects, the low student learning outcomes are influenced by students' lack of interest in learning and the lack of use of textbooks by students themselves. The research conducted at the XI IPS class at SMAN 1 Luhak Nan Duo aims to determine the relationship between learning interest and the use of textbooks with learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative research with correlational methods. The instrument used in this study was a research questionnaire. The population is 130 students with samples randomly selected for 100 students. From the results of the analysis it can be concluded that: (1) Interest in learning and the use of textbooks have a positive and significant relationship together with learning outcomes seen from the Sig. F change 0,000 <0,05. (2) There is a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning and learning outcomes seen from the value of Sig. 0,000 <0,05. (3) There is a positive and significant relationship between the use of textbooks and learning outcomes of economic subjects seen from the Sig. 0,000 <0,05.Keyword : Interest in learning, utilization of textbooks, learning outcomes
