The article studies a complex contaminated process of actualization of semantic components, which explicate various spheres of intentional objectification of general content in the texts of the precedent world “The Great Patriotic War”. The focuses, first of all, on the axiological basis for integrating the components of comparing personal understanding of the precedent phenomenon and its perception in culture. The dominants of psychic and socially oriented elements of the value space acquire their verbalization in the intimization sphere on the basis of texts of special cultural significance. They are analyzed on the basis of the hermeneutic method, which allows revealing the greatest number of facets of both the basic, nuclear area of verbalization, and to delimit the etymological, passive elements of the semantic hierarchy. In addition, in the process of analyzing the core and periphery, the most effective ways of verbalization and intimization of individual overtones of cultural concepts are determined. Within the framework of identifying the mechanisms of reflexive understanding of the phenomena of “feat”, “suffering”, “anger”, the initial contaminated space of modification of nuclear, etymological, historical and personal peripheral components in their inextricable interaction and mutual influence is recreated. The essence of the dismembered diegetic narration as a key technique for guiding the recipient into the process of derivation of the general content of the work with the formation of a common space of perception and understanding is revealed. The key principles of the reader’s presentation and awareness of the “intimacy” of the narrative with mutual reflexive assessment of the event by the reader and the reader’s hypothetical attitude by the author of the work are described. On the basis of the author’s intentional and unconscious reader’s social reflection in the process of actualizing the components of sociocultural memory within the framework of the precedent world of the Great Patriotic War, a complex conceptual-valency space with a multilevel structure is formed in the linguocultural consciousness of the Russian-speaking community, including the components of the author’s episodic memory.

This article analyzes the degree of demand for works of art (films and television films and series, literary and musical works, works of monumental art) associated with the history of the Great Patriotic War among contemporary students. This research is based on the combination of two theories, which study the dynamics and statics of culture in the society — the theory of the nucleus and periphery by Yu. M. Lotman and the theory of actual culture by L. N. Kogan. The four waves of research (2005, 2010, 2015, 2020) by the Russian Society of Socio¬logists (ROS) have revealed a series of works in various genres on this topic in the core structure and on the periphery of the current student culture; this has also allowed tracing the dynamics of demand and the “movement” of these works in the sociocultural space. The authors introduce the concept of the archetype of the echo of war. The high student recognition of works of all historical periods (from wartime to the present day) is shown. A significant complex of works has been identified, forming two contours of the periphery. Attention is drawn to the artistic work of contemporary students as a way to preserve the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War. This article explains the necessity of preserving the layer of national culture in order to reproduce the national identity in the conditions of informational and ideological pluralism of the post-Soviet period. The authors note the differentiation of youth due to the conditions and specifics of socialization in the polysemantic sociocultural space.

The subject of tradition engaged both Emmanuel Lévinas and Jacques Derrida in many of their writings, which explore both the philosophical and cultural significance of tradition and the particular significance of the latter in a specifically Jewish context. Lévinas devoted a few of his Talmudic essays to the subject, and Derrida addressed the issue from the perspective of different philosophical and religious traditions. This article uses the writings of these two thinkers to propose a new way of thinking about the idea of tradition. At the core of its inquiry lie the paradigm of the letter and the use of this metaphor as a means of describing the concept of tradition. Using the phenomenon of the letter as a vantage point for considering tradition raises important points of discussion, due to both the letter’s nature as a text that is sent and the manifest and hidden elements it contains. The focus of this essay is the phenomenon of textual tradition, which encompasses different traditions of reading and interpreting texts and a grasp of the horizon of understanding opened up in relation to the text through its many different interpretations. The attention paid here to the actions of individuals serves to highlight the importance of the interpersonal realm and of ethical thought.

This article explores the problems of the poorly studied sociocultural practices of spiritual-educational fund of ethnic cultures, among which of particular importance is the study of historical and aesthetic specificity of graphic symbolism. The author reviews the ideographic image of the family symbol of ownership “tamga” from the perspective of mutual influence of ethnocultural practices of different people that manifests through the system of symbols. Analysis is conducted on the interaction of ethnic graphic symbols in the evolutionary processes of sociocultural activity of the ethnoses. Symbolic ideographic images have always played a significant role in the evolutionary processes of sociocultural activity of the society. Symbols prompted the emergence of writing system, art, education and upbringing, and up to now are associated with the modern worldview. In the course of research, the author determines the characteristic artistic features socially meaningful forms of ethnic culture. Existing as a the visual forms of control over the processes of spiritual development, the symbolic forms infiltrate from one creative system into another, exerting a direct influence upon the artistic-aesthetic content and cultural meaning of the new image. These graphic codes, depending on the semantic generality, define cultural significance of the symbol in folk art. The relatively small number of publications dedicated to the research of graphic image of the social symbol (tamga) allows summarizing the results acquired by the Russian and foreign scholars in this field.

Abstract The ventral lateral parietal cortex (VLPC) shows robust activation during episodic retrieval, and is involved in content representation, as well as in the evaluation of memory traces. This suggests that the VLPC has a crucial contribution to the quality of recollection and the subjective experience of remembering, and situates it at the intersection of the core and attribution systems.

PurposeIn a fierce competition environment in which product prices fall sharply or even tend to be free, only by realizing differentiated customer value through continuous innovation can companies respond quickly and effectively to changes and enhance their core competitiveness.Design/methodology/approachThe innovation ecosystem takes the enterprise as the core, based on stakeholders such as partners, customers and intermediaries, and is highly concentrated in an industry or a region to form close horizontal and vertical links with each other[4]. With the goal of continuously creating differentiated customer value, the internal resources of the collaborative system are integrated, and through the rapid flow of knowledge, material and value between the various entities, the overall value-added ability is continuously improved.FindingsThe innovation ecosystem is the core for users to create expected and dream experience. It combines different knowledge systems of groups and individuals with different characteristics and backgrounds to create an environment where various ideas can effectively collide and recombine and integrate resources through multiple channels to form an organism.Originality/valueEcological factors in the production and application of technology diffusion and knowledge in the process of mutual influence, in the process of dynamic interactive learning and self-reinforcing, identify and understand the customer value, coordinated development of the overall operation of product and service system, to form a consistent brand and improve customer loyalty and ultimately improve the innovation ecosystem value.

Abstract This article looks at salient interpersonal uses and meanings of two prominent Tok Pisin social relations nouns ‐ wantok ('friend', 'same language speaker') and lain ('group', 'family', 'clan') ‐ which it is proposed exemplify key cultural Melanesian concepts in some anthropological literature of the area. Whereas certain aspects of language use in Tok Pisin were identified as potentially divisive and socially harmful, some scholars endeavoured to identify a group of concepts indicative of culturally specific Melanesian values. For example, the words wantok and lain were claimed to jointly represent 'the value of the clan' across Melanesian societies, while embodying and supporting a distinct world-view of the Melanesian peoples. This article studies two Tok Pisin texts which focus on the cultural significance of concepts of wantok and lain in their rural/traditional environment. While the first text offers a native speaker's insight into the social significance of the cultural expression wantok sistem ('system favouring friends'), the other one details the roles of lain in the passage of a bride-price ceremony. Given that both texts presuppose the cultural background of rural Tok Pisin, a brief look at some characteristic usage of the two words in electronic media suggests that certain aspects of traditional uses and meanings of these words may be extended and employed to conceptualize new social and political phenomena.

The article addresses the reflection of the processes of globalisation in contemporary art and their influence on the content and technologies of art education of a future teacher. The emphasis was placed on the fact that even under conditions of globalisation, artistic culture cannot be transformed on the basis of unification because it leads to the loss of ethnocultural values of a certain nation and the destruction of their cultural genotype. It was determined that the only direction of the transformation of modern art is integration technologies. The classification of integration methods in modern art practices is offered according to the following forms: mutual influence of cultural concepts on a territorial basis; the synergy of traditions and innovations; the combination of modern technologies into a conglomerate that preserves the characteristics of an art object; innovative synthesis of traditional arts on a group or type basis. Attention was focused on the fact that globalisation processes, that take place in the modern world, affect the content and determine the technologies of art education. It was established that among the forms of artistic integration of contemporary arts, that were proposed by the author, such as the synergy of traditions and innovations as well as the synthesis of traditional arts on a group or type basis are mainly introduced in the art education of a future teacher.

The core network refers to a set of neural regions that have been consistently associated with episodic memory retrieval and episodic future simulation. This network is thought to support the constructive thought processes that allow the retrieval and flexible combination of stored information to reconstruct past and construct novel future experiences. Recent behavioral research points to an overlap between these constructive processes and those also engaged during divergent thinking—the ability to think creatively and generate novel ideas—but the extent to which they involve common neural correlates remains unclear. Using fMRI, we sought to address this question by assessing brain activity as participants recalled past experiences, simulated future experiences, or engaged in divergent thinking. Consistent with past work, we found that episodic retrieval and future simulation activated the core network compared with a semantic control condition. Critically, a triple conjunction of episodic retrieval, future simulation, and divergent thinking revealed common engagement of core network regions, including the bilateral hippocampus and parahippocampal gyrus, as well as other regions involved in memory retrieval (inferior frontal gyrus) and mental imagery (middle occipital gyrus). The results provide further insight into the roles of the hippocampus and the core network in episodic memory retrieval, future simulation, and divergent thinking and extend recent work highlighting the involvement of constructive episodic processes in creative cognition.

Abstract While the concept of hua has always been integrated with China and Chinese, huaren and huaqiao and the like have different identities, involving profound historical, social, and cultural significance as well as the core values and attributes of Chineseness. Based on a semiotic approach, this paper explores the special relations between hua as a semiotic symbol and the connotations implied in relation to translation studies through typical case analyses and personal experience shared. Certain meaningful implications may be revealed from three aspects, namely the connotations of hua in the light of a semiotic approach, Chinese identities and Chineseness, and the “signifier,” the “signified,” and their agreement.
