Abstract: The present research had as objective to know information regarding the level of relation of the telecommunications and the user and financial management in the educational institutions of higher level (IES) in Mexico, through a structural equations model. The methodology to know the impact of telecommunications in the management of users and financial management consisted of conducting surveys with 28 questions to a sample of 34 public universities in Mexico. The application of the same was of induced character, and of structured form with questions mostly by a Likert scale. Three hypotheses were formulated that we considered fundamental. To verify, a model of structural equations was designed with the telecommunications service, internal process management, user management and financial management as constructs. With data from the surveys, a cross-sectional database was created and introduced to specialized statistical analysis software called Smart PLS V. 2.0 (M3). The results of the statistical model show that the telecommunications service provided by IHEs in Mexico has a strong relationship with the management of internal processes and this in turn has a very strong relationship with user management and financial management. It is generally concluded that telecommunications that exist in public IES have a strong influence on user management and financial management supported by Internal Process Management. Keywords: management, process, structural equation model, telecommunicationsJEL: I23, O31, O32Resumen.

This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the impact of COVID-19 lockdown on emotional distress and disordered eating in a community sample of Spanish youngsters. A total of 2847 participants (95% women; aged 14-35) completed depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, and disordered eating measures. Given the small proportion of men and as significant differences were found between genders in several variables, most results were only reported for women. Severe levels of depression, anxiety and stress were found in 30.8%, 25.4% and 20.5% of the sample, respectively. Sleep quality, eating habits, appearance concerns, preoccupation about one’s future, health concerns and other life domains were also affected by lockdown. Younger age, being single, being unemployed, not having contracted COVID-19 or not being sure about it, having a loved one infected or deceased due to coronavirus, and not having a place to relax at home were significantly associated with psychological distress and disordered eating. A structural equation model confirmed the direct influence of lockdown-related variables into psychopathology symptoms. The findings of this study suggest that COVID-19 and its associated lockdown might have a significant effect on psychological wellbeing and eating disturbances.

Purpose – The purpose of this research is an examination of three different types of sales approaches (product-, solution- and provocation-based) on relational outcomes. The type of sales approach influences buyer's assessments about the trustworthiness of the salesperson and the conflict with the salesperson. These outcomes of the sales approach affect the customer's economic and non-economic satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach – Using cross-sectional survey data from a sample of 840 organizational buyers, a structural equation model measures the path coefficients of the proposed model and tests the differences in the magnitude based on gender. Findings – The results indicate that sales approaches will differentially influence assessments of trustworthiness and conflict. The magnitude of the influence of the sales approach on outcomes is different between genders. Originality/value – To the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first empirical study to examine the impact of sales approaches on both genders of organizational buyers.

One of the most influential services provided on the internet is an online social networking site. With increasing competition in global and regional markets, having a brand is not a choice, but an inevitable necessity that in the case of negligence, there could be a reduction in the product market. The present article examines the impact of social network marketing on the creation of customer-specific brand value. In this article, 384 people were selected randomly. Data was collected using a social networking and brand equity questionnaire. After collecting the data, a structural equation model of research hypotheses was used, specifically LISREL and SPSS software for data analysis. Findings of the analysis indicate that all aspects of social network marketing are effective in creating a brand-specific brand value for the customer.

Social support is an important predictor for the maintenance of physical activity in adolescence. Thus, the social-ecological approach values the impact of individuals or groups interaction with available resources in the social environment for adopting an active lifestyle. This study analyzes social support from family and friends for adolescents to practice physical activity. Guided by the Social-Ecological Theory, an observational cross-sectional structural equations modeling was applied to 2,710 Brazilians adolescents aged from 14 to 18 years. We identified that the greater the social support from friends (β = 0.30; RMSEA = 0.065; CFI = 0.953; TLI = 0.922; SRMR = 0.048) and family, the greater the adolescents physical activity (β = 0.27; RMSEA = 0.015; CFI = 0.997; TLI = 0.995; SRMR = 0.013). However, support from both sources indicated no adequate adjustment values in the same study model. Our findings suggest that adolescents who perceive social support from family members or friends practice more physical activity, confirming that social support is important for physical activity promotion.

The main aim of the study is to encourage professionals to strive towards specific goals and responsibilities on the basis of their abilities, skills and context. Efficiency in an organization needs an appreciation of the various professionals and their position within a company, as well as opportunities to develop their abilities or allow use of specific skills. The HRD interventions are playing key role for the organizational effectiveness. The paper has made an attempt to examine the HRD interventions impact on the organizational effectiveness in IT companies. The bivariate correlation has been applied for the measuring the relationship of HRD intervention parameters with the organizational effectiveness and result reveals that Performance management has the strong relationship with the organizational effectiveness. The statistical method of structural equation model has been applied to measure the impact of selected three HRD interventions and observed that Performance Management influence has been found higher followed by the training effect on the organizational effectiveness.

Although heterogeneity has gained broad acknowledgement as a crucial phenomenon in the resource-based perspective, its relevance, whether as a source of inter-firm differences or of differences in firms' performance, has often been taken for granted rather been empirically assessed. Further, heterogeneity has been accepted as a self-explanatory concept instead of being studied and clarified as a construct for empirical research. Therefore, the goal of this paper is to define the heterogeneity construct and to eventually link the latter to firms' performances. A research on a 132 firms sample drawn from the Italian tool machine industry has been carried out to pursue this task. By means of a Structural Equation Model (LISREL) a 3-dimension construct has emerged; the heterogeneity construct dimensions are: contextuality, complexity and intertwinedness. The impact of heterogeneity on firms' performance has also been confirmed by means of LISREL. . Compared with the conventional building, the industrialized building (IB) promotes the sustainable development of the construction industry, which will become a growth trend in the future. Nevertheless, the progress of industrialized building is intimately affected through the scientific evaluating mechanism, which still requires more research. Thus, this study establishes a conceptual framework of industrialized building assessment (IBA), which is validated through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The impact between efficiency and the other five dimensions are studied by the structural equations model (SEM). The findings indicated that the conceptual framework is valid, and the efficiency has a positive impact on economic factors, livability, safety, environmental factors, and social benefits. Consequently, the improvement of efficiency has turned out to be the primary issue for improving the growth of the industrialized building. This research explores the basic framework of industrialized building assessment and provides a basis to establish a comprehensive and precise industrial building evaluation mechanism in the near future.

The Swiss Armed Forces (SAF), as part of a democratic system, depends on legitimacy. Democracy, legitimacy and the public are closely connected. In the public sphere the SAF need to be visible; it is where they are controlled and legitimated by the citizens, as part of a deliberative discussion in which political decisions are communicatively negotiated. Considering this, the meaning of political communication, including the SAF’s communication, becomes obvious as it forms the most important basis for political legitimation processes. Social media provide a new way for the SAF to communicate and interact directly with the population. The SAF’s social media communication potentially brings it closer to the people and engages them in a dialogue. The SAF can become more transparent and social media communication may increase its reputation and legitimacy. To measure the effects of social media communication, a survey of the Swiss internet population was conducted. Based on this data, a structural equation model was defined, the effects of which substantiate the assumption that the SAF benefits from being on social media in terms of broadening its reach and increasing legitimacy values.
