The model provides pieces of advice for provision of education under the following stages: input, process, and output to enable students learn efficiently as well as per- form better in studies and examinations. In its pursuit, the study applied qualitative research approach and a case study design. Qualitative research approach and the case study allowed the researcher to avoid biases by sup- porting researched information with clear facts as advised in rules of credibil- ity, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. Twenty-four participants selected under purposive sampling procedure were involved in the study. Semi- structured interviews and focus group discussions were the employed data col- lection methods. The researcher insists that necessary teaching and learning needs should always be provided in Tanzania inclusive secondary schools for students with visual impairment. Their significance is to facilitate students’ les- son understanding and better performance in examinations. This paper discusses the challenges of records management that arise from the use of adapted buildings as records centres in Zimbabwe, despite the advantages of using such buildings. A qualitative research approach was used as well as a case study research design. Data were collected from seven officers of the Gweru Records Centre through semi-structured interviews. Personal observation was used to triangulate findings from interviews. It was found that the use of adapted buildings as records centres was a cheaper and quicker way of establishing records centres throughout the country. However, a number of preservation, security and management challenges cropped up as the conditions of the buildings and the environment of the adapted buildings were not conducive to the proper and professional management of records. This study is important in that it explores the prospects and challenges of using adapted buildings as records centres in Zimbabwe, an area that has not been researched by many authors. This provokes archival authorities and the government to seriously consider establishing purpose-built records and archival centres.

ABSTRACT This study sought to explore teaching and learning of accounting: in-service educators’ experiences in the context of a South African University. The study employs a qualitative research approach using a case study design. Ten accounting teachers were purposively selected. The findings revealed that accounting resources used for teaching and learning of accounting were not related to an accountancy education. Also, some accounting lecturers at university were found to be unprofessional and not committed to their work, with many using local languages when teaching. The authors recommend that new accounting lecturers at the South African university be mentored by their senior counterparts. Until the situation improves, students should be encouraged to voice their dissatisfaction with what happens in the lecture halls.

This study examines the current trends and complexities in qualitative research in three major language teaching andlearning journals published from 2006–2015. After categorizing 781 articles into quantitative, qualitative, mixedmethods, and other approaches, 226 qualitative research articles were closely examined and further analyzed in termsof four dimensions: approaches, methods, number of participants, and length of research period. The findingsshowed that case study was the most frequently employed approach, followed by ethnography. The study alsoidentified that while interviews, observations, discourse analysis, and conversation analysis were relatively wellutilized, more than 150 different data collection and analysis methods were used. Although the results of the studyshow a tendency to use certain approaches and methods in qualitative research more than others, they alsodemonstrate the complexity and diversity of qualitative research and the difficulty in clarifying and categorizingtypes of qualitative research in language teaching and learning.

Cloud Learning Environments (CLEs) have recently emerged as a novel approach to learning, putting learners in the spotlight and providing them with the cloud-based tools for building their own learning environments according to their specific learning needs and aspirations. Although CLEs bring significant benefits to educators and learners, there is still little evidence of CLEs being actively and effectively used in the teaching and learning process. This chapter addresses this issue by introducing a European initiative called weSPOT (Working Environment with Social, Personal and Open Technologies for Inquiry-based Learning) for supporting and enhancing inquiry-based learning in STEM education via a cloud-based inquiry toolkit. The chapter presents evidence of using this toolkit within a case study that investigates how a secondary education community of students / co-learners selects information sources on the web and identifies factors associated with the reliability of information sources during their collaborative inquiry (co-inquiry) project in online environments.
