Additionally, this research designs a web based Marketing system. The system has been designed to give facilitation for customer to get information abaut material of tutorial activity fast and efficient. The methodologies used are literature study, observation, interview, questionaire, analysis and design with 7-stages E-Marketing. It isconcluded that e-CRM system that has been designed supports information access easily and fast. The e-Marketing application consists of features such as Online Register, Contact us, Download, News, and Complaint. It is expected to help deliver and maintain customer satisfaction by building  a close relationship to the customers.

Electronic catalogs are at the core of information system support for electronic commerce. Unlike traditional paper-based product catalogs which are limited by size, access method, high production cost, and obsolete information, electronic catalogs promise up-to-date information, more flexible methods of search and retrieval, interactive multimedia user interface, and automated linkage and support for various procurement functions. As the World Wide Web became more popular, a tremendous amount of information flooded the cyberspace resulting in the problem of information overload. To attract and retain users, a Web site should be adaptive on information content, information organization and information display. In this chapter, a Personalized Electronic Catalog (PEC) system is proposed to synthesize the Web-based electronic catalog customization on information content, organization, and display; as well as to demonstrate the analysis and improvement of information access for electronic catalogs in an industrial application.

Abstract. The mission of digital Cultural Heritage (CH) repositories goes beyond engagement and dissemination; their research data should be approached and correlated spatially and semantically in the service of conservation and accessibility. Therefore, a flexible system is needed to expand, reuse and repurpose their content, addressing online collaboration, real time progress and ease of use. Towards this direction, the “METEORA” web-based platform is a novel and holistic approach to the organization, management and visualization of the 3D and 2D documentation products of CH sites. It integrates a multi-scale 3D viewer based on the 3DHOP framework, personalized information access and interactive tools for data retrieval and presentation. Emphasis is given in the development of a mid-level interface for creating, updating and maintaining 3DHOP’s functionalities and customizing information based on the user’s scientific specialty and field of interest. The proposed admin control panel updates the state of the current visualization, allows the integration of 3D models and multimedia and automates the creation of clickable points of interest on top of the 3D surfaces. It is based on a MySQL Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) that supports the back-end User Interface (UI) with create, read, update and delete (CRUD) management functions of a typical RESTful service. Moreover, all the control mechanisms as well as the procedures of authentication, authorization and encryption of the credentials of the certified users are configured through the PHP scripting language and JSON files. The resulting platform achieves maximum adaptability in digital archiving of heterogeneous datasets and has increasing efficiency in representing all types of data supported by 3DHOP.

Information on the list of seminar events and seminar registration which is still done manually results in limited information access being given to the seminar participants, besides the data processing process carried out by the committee becomes less effective and efficient. To solve these problems, an online computerized information system is needed that can provide information related to seminar participant registration, data management, and seminar events. With the implementation of this system, it is expected to facilitate access to information about the seminar event schedule and reduce the risk of recording errors in seminar participant registration. This system is also expected to further accelerate the process of making reports which in turn can help the performance of the seminar committee. The research method used is a survey method involving certain people, especially students. Whereas the system development method (SDLC) is carried out using the waterfall method

Utilization of information technology is a very important requirement for every component of society. Easy, fast and accurate data and information access can optimize routine daily work. Mawaridussalam Islamic boarding school Batang Kuis as an Islamic education institution that plays a role in shaping the character and personality of the next generation of the nation is expected to be able to optimally manage finances and provide good service to the academics of the Islamic boarding school. Until now, financial management is still done manually using bookkeeping, there is no specific financial application used in Islamic boarding school financial management, so it is difficult and slow in recording, processing, controlling and reporting financial activities. Based on these problems, an application is needed that can be used by the treasurer and board of boarding school leaders for financial management systematically. The method applied is the User Centered Design approach and the target that was successfully achieved is the availability of web-based financial management applications that are used properly to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of financial management in Islamic boarding schools.

Web-based social networks (WBSNs) are online communities that allow users to publish resources (e.g., personal data, annotations, blogs) and to establish relationships, possibly of a different type (“friend,” “colleague,” etc.) for purposes that may concern business, entertainment, religion, dating, and so forth. In the last few years, the usage and diffusion of WBSNs has been increasing, with about 300 Web sites collecting the information of more than 400 million registered users. As a result, the “net model” is today used more and more to communicate, share information, make decisions, and ‘do business’ by companies and organizations (Staab et al., 2005). Regardless of the purpose of a WBSN, one of the main reasons for participating in social networking is to share and exchange information with other users. Recently, thanks to the adoption of Semantic Web technologies such as FOAF and other RDF-based vocabularies (Brickley & Miller, 2005; Davis & Vitiello, 2005; Golbeck, 2004), accessing and disseminating information over multiple WBSNs has been made simpler (Ding, Zhou, Finin, & Joshi, 2005). If this has been quite a relevant improvement towards an easier sharing of information, it makes more urgent that content owners have control over information access. In fact, making available possibly sensitive and private data and resources implies that they can be used by third parties for purposes different from the intended ones. As a matter of fact, users’ personal data and resources are regularly exploited not only by companies for marketing purposes, but also by governments and institutions for tracking persons’ behaviors and opinions, and in the worst case, by online predators (Barnes, 2006).

Most distance education institutions still use traditional media such radio, television, printed materials to provide and support education. The educational materials are designed according to the students' individual necessities. So, students can maintain their own learning. The most important property of digital media is interactivity. Traditional media provide interactivity with the support of digital media. To provide a transparent learning and teaching activity in cyber space can be accomplish with interactive opportunities to all learners. In this case the most effective environment should have open access to everyone, easy to follow, unlimited information access. These specialties can be seen in web-based environments. In these days we can eliminate the noninteractive structure of traditional media with the support of web based environments. With the development of Web 2.0 technology, social media applications have gained great popularity in recent years. This chapter will explain, the contribution of Web 2.0 on television in distance education systems.
