Aim. To create a collection of samples of blood components of patients with multiple myeloma for potential fundamental and applied biomedical research.Material and methods. The material was collected according to the developed algorithm, including the collection of clinical information, biological material, sample preparation, quality control and storage in the biobank of the National Medical Research Center of Oncology.Results. As of August 2021, the cryostorage of the National Medical Research Center of Oncology biobank contains a collection of 175 samples of blood serum, plasma and mononuclear cell fraction of patients with multiple myeloma. Samples were obtained from 32 patients of both sexes, the mean age of which was 59,5±1,65 years. To create an electronic catalog, personal, clinical and laboratory data about patients were collected, after which each sample was assigned its own unique identification number. Written informed consent was obtained from all patients for the storage of their biomaterial in a biobank with possible subsequent use for scientific purposes. Freezing of the obtained samples was carried out in accordance with low-temperature storage protocol. The electronic catalog contains a wide range of systematized clinical and laboratory information on samples.Conclusion. The collection of multiple myeloma samples is a unique resource for potential research on its pathophysiology, the development of diagnostic biomarkers, and the search for targeted agents.

Introduction: One of the methods for managing the quality of prosthetics is optimizing the composition of a modular prosthesis components. Mistakes in choosing models for functional modules of a prosthesis lead to a limited realization of the patient's potential capabilities, or to the choice of expensive highly functional models whose potential cannot be fully realized with the given body system disabilities. One of the most effective ways to solve this problem is to use the computer technology capabilities. Purpose: Substantiation of the methodology for the development of an innovative computer technology for personalized synthesis of a lower-limb prosthesis, including the development of the structure of an information-measuring system for its implementation. Methods: Analysis, synthesis, analogy; expert survey; analytic hierarchy process (Saaty method). The conceptual language of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health was used to describe the factors influencing the requirements for the characteristics of prosthetic modules. Results: In order to choose models for prosthetic modules, we should use an extended system of factors, including both the basic factors associated with the purpose of the products and indicated in the catalogs, and additional factors: impairment indicators of the body functions and structures, the capacity and performance of the patient's activity and participation, the presence of barriers and facilitators environmental factors in which the prosthesis is planned to be used. Taking this system of factors into account, a structural diagram of an information-measuring system for examining a prosthetic patient has been developed. To select the components for the prosthesis, we have substantiated the necessity of creating a global electronic catalog, combining structured information on the models of prosthetic modules supplied by various manufacturers. A matrix representation form is proposed for the knowledge base, reflecting the rules for choosing models according to the correspondence of their characteristics to the estimates of the factors. The methodology of computerized selection of models from the electronic catalog has been substantiated. Practical relevance: The results of the work are a step towards the creation of a technology for a computerized multicriteria choice of components for a modular prosthesis, taking into account the personal needs and functional capabilities of the patient. The use of this technology will improve the patient's rehabilitation level and the quality of his or her life.

Automation of library processes is an important topic in modern conditions of digitalization and transition of human activities to the latest computer technologies. Acquisition of literature to library collections forms the document base for the subsequent work of the library, so this process needs continuous improvement and optimization of its constituent operations. The article is devoted to the application of computer technologies in the preparation and use of the scientific library thematic-typological plan of acquisition as the scientific base of building collections. The object of the article is to present the experience of creating and using the electronic model of the Thematic and Typological Acquisition Plan in the scientific library, to define the perspectives of implementing the data base for information and library servicing UB RAS users. The article presents the results of content analysis of subject headings and indices of the State Rubricator of Scientific and Technical Information for bibliographic descriptions of Russian journals received in 2015–2017, in the Consolidated electronic catalog of periodicals of the Central Scientific Library of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences; of books, published by the institutes of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2015–2017, according to the Electronic catalog of Russian books and continuing publications of the Central Scientific Library of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences; of publications (published in 2015–2019) of the institutes of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, included in the database of the Russian Science Citation Index on the portal «eLIBRARY.ru» – are presented in the article. It also describes the stages of creation, analyzes the characteristics and capabilities of the database «Thematic-typological acquisition plan» of the Central Scientific Library of the Urals Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The paper analyzes the factors influencing the education activity risks of higher education institutions; in order to identify and assess the risks, it has been proposed to apply the requirements of the DSTU ISO 31010 standard. As a software product for building an electronic catalog MS Access has been used. The electronic catalog is based on a relational database with multi-table links. This approach allows you to quickly identify risks and choose organizational and technical measures to minimize their negative impact. Keywords: education activity, electronic catalog, risks, software product, DSTU ISO 31010 standard.

Abstract Background During a pandemic, medical supplies are at increased risk of being depleted rapidly. The COVID-19 sanitary emergency has generated global shortages in critical supplies, like personal protective equipment and medicines. This study aimed to describe the pharmaceutical procurement challenges to overcome medicine shortages in a state-owned academic hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ecuador. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional study using secondary administrative data of documented public tenders for medicines and drug prescriptions for the critical care unit at Hospital Pablo Arturo Suárez in Quito, Ecuador. The occurrence of shortages, their frequency, and the procurement mechanisms used to overcome them were documented by the pharmacy service between January 1st and July 31th, 2020. The units purchased and unitary price of pharmaceuticals procured by the hospital was also documented and compared to data from 2019. Results From 38 medicines analyzed from 12 ATC groups, there were 84 shortages during the sanitary emergency period covered by the study, and 25 medicines had one or more shortages. Norepinephrine and midazolam shortages were most frequent. Retail or emergency direct purchase and loan-stock from other public hospitals were the main procurement methods to overcome the shortages. The purchase mechanism directly influenced the price. Drugs purchased in small tenders via retail or emergency direct purchase had the most significant price increase (up to 819%), while medicines acquired via the electronic catalog managed by the public procurement service experienced no price changes. Conclusion Monitoring and responding to drug shortages during a pandemic can be challenging, and governments must adapt quickly, providing specific guidance on how to deal with shortages.

The article discusses some aspects of the organization of the information system of the Archive of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov. The problem of digitalization of archival activities is quite relevant for Uzbekistan due to the fact that traditional approaches to the construction of information retrieval mechanisms and the organization of information services in archiving today often do not correspond to the required level of efficiency and user needs. As part of the work carried out, the specific task was to organize a software environment for the formation of an electronic catalog of archived descriptions, filling databases of digitized copies of archival materials, as well as flexible multidimensional search and presentation of information. The way to solve this problem is to use the archival information system «AtoM». As a result, a database of digitized archival materials was created, reflecting the life and work of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, equipped with a developed search and reference apparatus.
