This research aims to obtain information about the needs of learners in Englih learning especially non English department students surroundings of Tarbiyah and teacher training Faculty of IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo, the results of the analysis of data obtained via the questionaire form as the main instrument. Based on the data analysis, it was obtained information that the English material should be submitted by using the strategies varied, English has four skills with more emphasized on a competency-based vocabulary , this is because learners expected through vocabulary they can understand a textbook material on other subjects which is very useful for them in job field.

This research aims to create a supporting media product in English Grammar learning in semester 2 students majoring in English at IAIN Palopo. based on observations in June 2019, the author found a problem in the scale of student use in smartphone use that is increasingly growing. Therefore, the author is interested in creating an online comic that can be accessed on the phone by using an application called Webtoon. The study design used in this study was Research and Development (R&D) utilized ADDIE Model. It consists of Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The product is used as a supporting medium in English grammar learning which was once being studied by Semester 2 English Student IAIN Palopo. The product was tried out to the Students of Semester 2 of English Students at IAIN Palopo. The instruments were used in this study are Questionnaire for need analysis and observation sheet for 5 Experts and student’s perception. In this study, 5 experts were involved in order to validate the product. The elements of the validation are Display, Content/Materials, Language, and the Application. The result based from the expert’s validation as well as try-out product result, the product of this study was appropriate to be applied for the students of English Department semester 2, as a supporting media in Learning English Grammar

Due to the limited sources of Vocabulary teaching materials, the researcher was eager to design a model of vocabulary materials assumed needed by te students for their daily conversation. The design was a Research and Development applying descriptive procedure of three model suggested by Borg and Gall (1983) who propose three ways of developing a model of teaching material, namely: procedural, conceptual, theoretical.” Then, he followed the research procedure by Sugiyono (2007: 298) suggesting ten steps of a research and development: (1) identifying research problem, (2) collecting information, (3) designing the product, (4) validating the design, (5) revising the design, (6) testing the product , (7) revising the product, (8) applying the design, (9) re-revising the product , and (10) publishing the prooduct. In validating the model, he asked some comments from experts. Because of limited time and other reasons of doing the research, he just applied the step 1 up to 4. Based on the validation result, it could be concluded that the model had fulfilled the criteria both content and construct validity.

This study concerns on how reading text materials are developed for vocational school. This study was conducted by using developmental research. The subject of this research was class XII SMK Sandhy Putra 2 Medan consisting of 36 students. Instrumentations for collecting data were questionnaire and interview. After analyzing the data, the writer got the students’ need in learning English in term of vocation that they have. Based on the students’ need analysis, then it was got some basic competences which need to be reached by the students, and based on the basic competences, syllabus can be designed. After syllabus had been designed, developing teaching materials was done. The developed teaching materials were related to the vocation that the students had; it was culinary art. The development of materials followed four stages; those were pre-development/ planning, development, evaluation, and revision.

Este artículo analiza la evolución de los planes de estudio de educación física y ciencias de la actividad física en la Universidad de León desde su implantación en 1987. Aunque es un estudio de un caso, se plantea como ejemplo del proceso de transformación de dichos estudios en España en los últimos 25 años. El análisis de los datos permite colegir que en este tiempo dichos estudios han sufrido una transformación de fondo al calor de los saberes hegemónicos: la formación humanística, social y pedagógica ha sido sustituida por materias de índole deportivo. Se argumenta que esta transformación provocará cambios en el perfil de los titulados y, eventualmente, puede redefinir el significado y las funciones de la educación física escolar.Palabras clave: planes de estudio, formación inicial de profesores, reforma universitaria, educación física.Abstract: This article analyzes the evolution of the syllabi in physical education and physical activity sciences at the University of León since its introduction in 1987. Although this is a case study is presented as an example of the transformation of these studies in Spain in the last 25 years. The data analysis can infer on that at this time these studies have undergone a fundamental transformation in the heat of the hegemonic knowledge: the humanistic, social and pedagogical education, has been replaced by maters subject sport competitions the humanistic, social and pedagogical education has been replaced by sports. It argues that this transformation will change the profile of graduates and may eventually redefine the meaning and functions of school physical education.Key words: syllabi, initial teacher training, university reform, physical education.

This research investigates and analyses pronunciation errors made by the students of English Education Department at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. Errors in students’ pronunciation are  crucial problems among foreign language teacher, especially English teacher. This research aims at investigating and finally finding out pronunciation errors made by the English students of S-1. The subjects of the study are the S-1 English students in academic period 2019/2020 that total 40 students who took dictation course in the third semester. The data of the study are a group of students’ pronunciation or speech sounds. Based on the description above, there are two important problems proposed in terms of kinds of pronunciation errors and causes of pronunciation errors. Of the data analysis carried out, it is found out that kinds and causes of pronunciation errors which are classified into significant and non-significant errors. There are four causes of pronunciation errors, namely (1) some differences of speech sounds between English and Indonesian; (2) the same phonetic features which have the different distribution between English and Indonesian; (3) interference of native language; and (4) lack of practices and exposures in English pronunciation.

Management is a tool to achieve the desired goals, with good management it will facilitate the realization of the goals of a company or organization. The effective and efficient use of elements in management owned by a business will be able to bring advantages to businesses and consumers. The management elements consist of Material, Method, Man, Machine, Money, and Market, known as 6M. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of 6M at Artebo MSMEs. The research method used is a type of qualitative research, namely research in the form of words, sentences, schemes, and descriptions. The data sources consist of primary data and secondary data obtained from observations and interviews. Primary data comes from information, statements, and information from informants. Secondary data comes from documentation review. The main instrument in this study is the researcher himself with the aid of a mobile recorder; observation sheet; and interview sheets. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data is checked by triangulation, namely checking the validity of the data using something other than the data concerned for checking purposes or as a comparison. The data analysis technique used an interactive analysis model. The stages in data analysis taken in this study include data reduction; presentation of data; validation test; and verification. As for the results of the study, namely MSME Artebo has implemented the elements of 6M management effectively, this is adjusted to the conditions of the micro-business being run. The man that is owned is one person, namely the owner. Money used in production activities can be explored because the material is easy to use and affordable. The materials used mostly comes from nature, namely wood. The machine used is a simple machine because of the limited resources that can be utilized. The method used is a traditional method. And the market that is used to sell products is done in a Word of Mouth manner.

This research aims, firstly, to analyze the significant effect of role-play and discussion techniques on the students’ speaking skill. Secondly, to analyze the significant difference of the students who are holistic learners with those who are sequential learners regarding their speaking skill. Thirdly, to discuss the interaction regarding the teaching techniques and learning style concerning the students’ speaking skill. The objects of the research were two classes of English department students, Universitas Pamulang (UNPAM). The instruments used were the speaking test and questionnaires. The method of the data analysis was quantitative using SPSS 20. The result of the research shows, firstly, there was a significant effect of the role-play technique and discussion on the students’ speaking skill. Secondly, there was no significant difference concerning the students who are holistic learners with those who are sequential learners, regarding the speaking skill. Thirdly, there was no interaction between teaching techniques and learning styles in relation with students’ speaking skill.
