This type of research is an analytic study with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted at the Putri Hijau Kindergarten II Hospital, Medan. The population in this study were 152 nurses with a total sample size of 60 people based on the sample count using the Slovin formula. Collecting data in the study using a questionnaire and processed into SPSS with univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Based on the results of research with the chi square statistical test, it is known that the variables age, years of service, knowledge, attitudes, availability of PPE, supervision and social support have a relationship with p <sig α (0.05). Multivariate analysis shows that the working period variable (p = 0.004, Exp (B) 13.169), namely the working period has 13 times the effect on the use of PPE, attitudes (p = 0.003, Exp (B) 14.931) namely attitudes have 14.9 times the effect on use PPE, and social support (p = 0.012 Exp (B) 8,592), namely social support has an effect of 8.5 times on the use of PPE. The kind of research that was utilized in this study was an analytical questionnaire. In this study, a cross-sectional design was employed to collect data. Sixty-six individuals were included in the samples that fulfilled the requirements. The findings revealed that 1) the midwife's attitude toward promoting exclusive breastfeeding at the UPT Puskesmas (Community Health Center) Mare had no impact on the outcomes of the study. The results of the chi square test revealed that the p-value was 0,089, indicating that the hypothesis was correct (0,05). There is an association between midwife assistance and an increase in exclusive breastfeeding at the University of Puskesmas Mare, according to the findings of the chi square test (p-value =0,007 for exclusive breastfeeding at the UPT Puskesmas Mare) (0,05). The rise in exclusive breastfeeding at the UPT Puskesmas Mare may be attributed to the midwifery program, according to the findings. The results of the chi square test reveal that the p-value is 0,0002, which indicates a significant difference (0,05). 4) Midwife assistance had a 12,7-fold higher impact on the rise in exclusive breastfeeding, with a p-value of 0.028 0.05 for the effect of midwife support. The midwife program, on the other hand, had a moderate impact on the rise in exclusive breastfeeding, with a p-value of 0,038 0.05 and a moderate effect of 11,1 times on the increase in exclusive breastfeeding.

Background: The target of exclusive breastfeeding decreased to 17% at the Pakualaman Health Center in Yogyakarta due to the barriers caused by the wrong perception regarding breastfeeding and returning to work. The roles of motivators in the promotion activity and exclusive breastfeeding reinforcements are expected to exchange experience among peers who have experienced of exclusive breastfeeding at maternal group activities. Objective: To identify the correlation between the role of motivators in supporting maternal groups in providing exclusive breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding behavior. Methods: This was a correlational study with cross-sectional design on 55 samples selected using purposive sampling technique. This study was conducted in women who had a > 6-23-month infant at Pakualaman Health Center in Yogyakarta in 2017. Chi-square and multiple logistic regressions were used for data analysis. Results: There was no significant correlation between the role of motivators in supporting maternal groups and exclusive breastfeeding behavior in mothers with 0-6-month infants (p= 0.631). There was a significant correlation between the variable of access to information with the behavior of exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.019).Conclusion: The role of motivators in supporting maternal groups has no significant relationship with exclusive breastfeeding behavior. It is suggested for midwives to increase the access of information among mothers, as information access has significant association with behavior of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding.

United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that children only be breastfed with breast milk (ASI) for at least six months in an effort to reduce child morbidity and mortality. Solid food should be given after the child is 6 months old, and breastfeeding continued until the child is two years old. Many factors will affect the success of exclusive breastfeeding including knowledge, education, occupation, problems with the mother's breast, and interest in formula milk promotion. This study aims to determine how the behavior of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding and the factors that influence it. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional study design. The independent variables of this study were education, mother's knowledge and husband's support, while the dependent variable is the mother's behavior in exclusive breastfeeding. The subjects in this study were all mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months with multistage sampling technique. The statistical test in this study used the Chi Square test. The results showed that there was no relationship between mother's knowledge and mother's education with mother's behavior in exclusive breastfeeding (p>0.05), and there was a relationship between husband's support and mother's behavior in exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.000)

Introduction. Although most organizations recommend breastfeeding for at least one year due to its well-known beneficial effects, the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding in many developing countries was quite low. Aim. To identify prevalence and predictive factors affecting exclusive breastfeeding in Primary Healthcare (PHC) Centers in Cairo, Egypt. Material and methods. A cross-sectional study, among mothers attended first six months immunization sessions in three PHC Centers were selected via a convenient sample, A total sample of 180 mothers, 60 from each PHC Center, were subjected to an interview questionnaire. The questionnaire used was previously validated and pre-tested. Data collection took the period from April to August 2019. Comparison between exclusive and nonexclusive breastfeeding according to possible risk factors was done. Results. The frequency of breastfeeding among the participants was 90.6%; however the total exclusive breastfeeding frequency was only 39.4%. Our logistic regression model showed that exclusive breastfeeding decreased with progressive increase in infant’s age (OR 0.74), and mothers with good knowledge about proper practice of breastfeeding adhered more to exclusive breastfeeding (OR 2.51). Also, it showed that, during working hours, mothers who fed their infants other than breast milk adhered less to exclusive breastfeeding (OR 0.19). Conclusion. The prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding is quite low. The predictive factors for exclusive breastfeeding are, younger infant’s age, good knowledge of the mothers about proper practice of breastfeeding, and mothers insisting on breastfeeding during working hours.
