The growing needs for accountants, especially for those who can use and understand information technology, has encouraged accounting programs at the higher education level to offer information system courses. Given this fact, this study aims to (1) assess the students’ perception on the importance and relevance of the information system courses for their major and future works, (2) examine the relationship between the student’s awareness on information system subjects and their performance in these subjects, (3) identify the factors influencing the students’ perception on teaching practices in information system courses. The data was collected through questionnaires which were distributed to accounting students in the Faculty of Economics, Andalas University. This research found that a better understanding on teaching materials of the information system courses have helped students to understand other subjects taught in the accountancy program. Moreover, the student’s motivation, views and the lecturer’s teaching methods and knowledge are the main contributors for the student’s success in these courses.

Anxiety in pre-service elementary teachers (PSETs) often affects their views of mathematics as well as the practices and teaching methods they choose to use. Due to this, many PSETs often choose to use traditional teaching methods in the classroom which can have counteractive effects on their math anxiety (Harper & Daane, 1998; Olson & Stoehr, 2019; Tooke & Lindstrom, 1998). The goal of this paper is to better comprehend and discover the ways in which math anxiety in PSETs impacts their teaching and whether there are ways to limit these negative emotions about mathematics. Much of the research on this topic look at either PSETs’ beliefs/views or their teaching practices. The focus of this paper will be to analyze the relationship between their beliefs/views and their teaching such to look at how one influences the other or if they have a symbiotic relationship as well as looking at how one’s individual psychology influences these beliefs/views. Using a symbolic interactionist lens, the arguments provide evidence from the literature that looks at the relationships between people and others. Moreover, in touching upon these relationships, this paper also delves into gender issues and stereotypes that have influenced these relationships. The implications of this paper deal primarily with the impact of gender stereotypes on teaching and anxiety as well as what teaching practices are most favourable when looking at reducing anxiety levels in PSETs.

The South African accounting profession needs racial transformation. Consequently, students pursuing the chartered accountant (South Africa) (CA(SA)) designation, especially at-risk Black students, require adequate support. To be successful, the support must be driven by factors influencing students’ academic performance. As prior academic performance is one such factor, this study examines the relationship between the National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams and the National Benchmark Test (NBT) for students enrolled in an accounting degree at a South African university. Due to numerous moderate and strong correlations between NSC and NBT results, without multicollinearity, it was concluded that both sets of results should be considered as factors contributing to students’ academic performance. The findings highlight the need for further empirical research on NSC and NBT results as determinants of success for accounting students.

Strategies and policies in a profit-oriented organization also have a social mission (public service) that prioritizes the service to the customer. The development of information system and information technology will impact on a competitive competition. This development also applies in the world of certification that requires the manager to build and develop information system to help the business activities, to achieve organizational goals and services for stakeholders, especially those which related to data, information, technology and application. We found some cases of information system management failure in achieving organizational objectives because the utilization is not in accordance with the direction and objectives of the organization. The system will analyze the relationship pattern of goods towards the goods order based on needs and usage. Furthermore, the patterns will be recognized so that we can obtain the composition set of criteria to order the goods. To find the patterns and information from a collection of reservation data into a decision-making material. Therefore, the writers make a study with the title "Implementation of K-Means and K-Modes Methods in Clustering Data Mining in Determining the Textile Material Ordering Set" (Case Study: UD. Abstract— Rapid of information technology development grow a new competitive environment. Including higher education, they need to improve their service quality in order to provide education service in more competitive. One of the ways of using information technology in higher education is the used of Academic Information System (AIS). AIS was developed to achieve the goals of the learning process which is one of vision and mission organization success factor. The measurement is needed to evaluate the quality of AIS. Functionality is one of the quality factors which is measured by observing the correlation between function and functional suitability. In this study, the quality of AIS functional suitability is measured using goal-oriented approach base on ISO/IEC 25010 in the perspective of a lecturer. The strategic plan of an institution is used as a reference to measure if the system used to have meet institution goals when using this approach. The result shows that the measurement using goal-oriented approach become more objective and suitable to the need of used AIS quality improvement for the institution than the measurement with ISO/IEC 25010 only. Keywords— Academic Information System, Functional Suitability, GQM, ISO/IEC 25010

Abstract Student Activity Information System (SAIS) was developed with the aims to efficiently record the applications of student’s activity at the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Selangor, Malaysia and to assist the administrator to manage the students’ activities effectively. By using different e-service quality dimensions, this study proposed a higher order factor of SAIS Service Quality with an attempt to determine a moderating effect of SAIS Service Convenience between the relationship of SAIS Service Quality and Student’s Satisfaction. Quantitative data was gathered from 94 SAIS users and the data were analyzed by using SmartPLS 3.0. The analysis result showed that SAIS Service Quality and SAIS Service Convenience were positively influenced the student’s satisfaction. Moreover, the result also revealed that the higher order factor of SAIS Service Convenience was not to moderate the relationship between the SAIS Service Quality and Student’s Satisfaction. From the Higher Education (HE) perspective, this study provides an empirical validation of the Information System Service Quality Model particularly in the context of SAIS. Hence, the improvement of the e-service quality is essential for future enhancement of existing information systems in the higher education institutions.

As a form of digital content, e-Textbooks make learning content portable, transferrable, and searchable. Such technology increases students' engagement in learning and make learning highly interactive. However, the adoption of using e-Textbooks in higher education is far from its confirmation stage. This study examines the relationship between perceived attributes of using e-Textbooks by instructors and their actual use of e-Textbooks in higher education. A survey study has been conducted to measure how instructors from public universities in colleges of education perceive using e-Textbooks in higher education. The findings suggest that instructors, institutions, and e-Textbooks publishers should work collaboratively to enhance the use of e-Textbooks in higher education.
