The use of Information Technology (IT) in higher education is said to be useful if its application is in accordance with the vision and mission of the organization. Academic information system audit is a method of assessing or assessing academic information systems to ensure that the governance and management functions of the information system are implemented properly. Unimal is a university that has implemented information technology in its operational processes. In achieving the organization's vision, the use of IT in the organization must always be monitored so that the services provided to users can be maximized, including by conducting an audit process to identify the level of IT maturity so that IT management can find solutions from processes that are considered less than optimal. This study aims to measure the level of capability of Unimal Academic Information Technology using COBIT 5 Domain APO (Align, Plan, and Organise) in the APO01, APO02, APO04 and APO11 processes. The focus of the research is also based on the need for priority processes in the Malikussaleh University environment and research related to the APO domain has not been carried out. The purpose of this study in general is to analyze Academic Information Technology using the COBIT 5 framework in the APO domain at the Malikussaleh University, as well as to provide solutions for improving academic information technology and IT implementation at the Malikussaleh University.

Abstract— Rapid of information technology development grow a new competitive environment. Including higher education, they need to improve their service quality in order to provide education service in more competitive. One of the ways of using information technology in higher education is the used of Academic Information System (AIS). AIS was developed to achieve the goals of the learning process which is one of vision and mission organization success factor. The measurement is needed to evaluate the quality of AIS. Functionality is one of the quality factors which is measured by observing the correlation between function and functional suitability. In this study, the quality of AIS functional suitability is measured using goal-oriented approach base on ISO/IEC 25010 in the perspective of a lecturer. The strategic plan of an institution is used as a reference to measure if the system used to have meet institution goals when using this approach. The result shows that the measurement using goal-oriented approach become more objective and suitable to the need of used AIS quality improvement for the institution than the measurement with ISO/IEC 25010 only. Keywords— Academic Information System, Functional Suitability, GQM, ISO/IEC 25010

<p>Perkembangan sistem dan teknologi informasi yang pesat telah membawa perubahan yang signifikan terhadap dunia Pendidikan khususnya Pendidikan tinggi. Hampir seluruh perguruan tinggi di Indonesia sudah mengadopsi teknologi informasi sebagai media untuk melakukan proses belajar mengajar. Salah satu teknologi yang sudah sering diadopsi adalah Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIA) yang berfungsi sebagai fasilitator IT dalam menyelenggarakan kegiatan yang bersifat akademik. Namun demikian, dengan penerapan Sistem Informasi Akademik ini pun masih meninggalkan berbagai macam pertanyaan terkait dengan pemanfaatan SIA tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat sebuah kerangka yang dapat memfasilitasi untuk mengukur kualitas sebuah perangkat lunak dari sisi Functionality (Fungsionalitas), Reliability (Keandalan), Usability (Kebergunaan), Efficiency (Efisiensi), Maintainability (Pemeliharaan) dan Portability (Portabilitas) dimana semua unsur ini terdapat pada ISO 9126 sebagai dasar acuan untuk menguji kualitas. Adapun metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan menyebar kuesioner serta melakukan wawancara terhadap beberapa stakeholder sistem. Atribut-atribut yang digunakan dalam pembuatan kuesioner nantinya akan dijadikan dasar untuk perbaikan kualitas pada perangkat lunak. Diharapkan model yang diusulkan dapat dijadikan kerangka acuan untuk perbaikan kualitas bagi perangkat lunak di lingkup akademik perguruan tinggi khususnya bagian akademik dan unit penunjang lain pada umumnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sistem dinilai baik ditinjau dari semua karakteristik software berdasarkan ISO 9126.</p><p> </p><p><em><strong>Abstract</strong></em></p><p> </p><p><em>The rapid growth of information technology has brought a significant change to academic institution, especially to higher education. Almost all of Indonesia higher education has adopted the information technology as a learning media. Academic Information System is one of the technologies that adopted for academic purposes. However, there are still many gaps in developing and implementing the system. This research aims to build a conceptual framework that can measure the quality based on its functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability and portability where all this element is exist in ISO 9126 as our guide for measuring the quality. We use a questionnaire and interview the stakeholders to collect data. The attributes in the questionnaire will used as a guidance to build a baseline framework. We hope this will be a good proposed model that can be a main reference for academic and other related units. The result shows that all system characteristic has a good point based on ISO 9126.</em></p>

In the world of information technology has changed the lifestyle in the aspect of our lives especially in the educational world. E-Raport is an academic information system used to input web-based student value data. The current value data input system is a benchmark for the creation of quality output and able to compete with other schools. One of the benchmarks that can be the competitiveness for other schools is the result of student learning assessments that are handled by each class. Problems that occur in the input of the value of Raport at SDN Sukanagara is currently still a manual that is the value of Raport recorded in the book Raport, so it takes a long time and a lot of energy needed. Research has the purpose of designing a value information system that facilitates the checking, recording and reporting of the computerized value of the students. Computerized Raport value reports can minimize errors in student data processing. This WEB based online raport is very easy data information and can be accessed anytime and anywhere, the system design works to insert and save value Report data and attendance and display info from school. The system uses data collection methods such as interviews, library studies, and system design, which are context diagrams, and prototypes. The information system of online Raport SDN Sukanagara is expected to be able to bring positive impact to the educational world, especially for SDN Sukanagara in the development of information technology applied in the world of education.

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of academic information systems in improving the quality of higher education implementation in PGRI STKIP Bangkalan, and the extent to which the policies of implementing higher education before and after the use of information systems and how satisfaction is felt by students towards academic information systems at STKIP PGRI Bangkalan, named STKIP PGRI Bangkalan’s Siakad.The study was conducted by conducting a survey of users of the internet-based academic information system (Siakad STKIP PGRI Bangkalan), namely lecturers, students and employees with the method of observation and conducting in-depth interviews to obtain as much information as possible from all respondents/informants. The number of informants was 5 people consisting of the chairman of STKIP PGRI Bangkalan, Vice Chairman I, Head of BAAK and two students who had experience in their respective fields of work, knew deeply and had many roles in the process of using information systems.Based on the results of the study, it was shown that with the use of the information system/ STKIP PGRI Bangkalan’s Siakad which is one of the facilities for the smooth activities of the teaching and learning process, it proved to provide convenience, many benefits and benefits that greatly support the duties of serving lecturers, students and outsiders requiring. This is evidenced by the support of the support of lecturers and students, capacity, namely the ability of employees to process data and value, namely the benefits felt by lecturers, employees and students as well as outside parties in need.

Academic Information System (AIS) is a form of information technology in the form of software services in the education process including academic information. To get a good AIS services, it needs good governance, including IT support, service for IT users as well as continuity of care. Sunan Kalijaga UIN has adequate information technology support used in academic services for users. Audit SIA is needed to fit the IT governance framework and standards of Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT). COBIT is standard because it is the most complete guide of best practices in IT management because it has a very good compromise in the breadth of coverage and detail of management's processes. Referring to one of the domains in COBIT is to Deliver and Support the domain that has the focus in his ministry. This study has implemented almost all IT activities and has a maturity level of 2.56, which means IT Academic Information System is approaching Defined Process management. This suggests that the activities of the Deliver and Support domain have been applied, but have not had formal procedures in writing and well documented.

Measurements of the purpose of information systems is to contribute to information technology on business performance at Stella Maris Sumba Stimicom College to measure the extent of alignment between business processes, it is necessary to need an information system audit that requires a standard, then the standard used is COBIT 4.1 with the final result obtained at the maturity level value of the IT service level is at 2.51 with the description Repeatable but intuitive

The article presents a comparative analysis of information technology and management subject areas in Ukraine and the US over the past 25 years. Special attention is given to the program subject areas under which universities can train specialists in IT management, a branch at the intersection of IT and management. In particular, the article traces transformations in the Cabinet of Ministers’ decrees on these fields of study, and details the amendments introduced into the classification of qualification levels, fields of study and subject areas in compliance with Decrees № 325 dated 1994, № 507 dated 1997, № 1719 dated 13.12.2006, № 787 dated 27.08.2010, and № 266 dated 2015. The article also outlines the higher education standards on IT and management developed on the basis of active Decree № 266 and other regulations. Further, it identifies the specifics of professional training of managers and IT specialists in the US. In particular, it outlines the Guiding Principles and Standards for Business Accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and the Computing Curricula Guidelines jointly developed by the Association for Computing Machinery and the Computer Society of the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers. Finally, the article correlates computing-related study areas in Ukraine and the US, and shows that reforms in IT and management fields of study are still in progress in Ukraine. The author concludes that while IT components in management subject areas are quite comparable in Ukraine and the US, the weight of business ones in IT subject areas is much smaller in Ukraine, which sidelines the professional training of IT managers in these subject areas. The author stresses the prospects of further analysis of the IT management programs available in Ukraine as well as the opportunities of incorporating the US experience to develop professional training of IT managers in the universities of Ukraine. ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh tata kelola teknologi informasi dengan menggunakan COBIT 5 sebagai kerangka kerja tata kelola teknologi informasi terhadap kualitas layanan informasi akademik pada Sistem Infromasi Akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis partial least square. Data primer didapatkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan pada mahasiswa aktif Universitas Trilogi pada semester gasal tahun 2020–2021. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan COBIT 5 dengan domain EDM (evaluate, direct and monitor) dan domain MEA (monitor, evaluate and assess) berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas layanan pada sistem informasi akademik Universitas Trilogi. Sedangkan domain DSS (Delivery, Service and Support) tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas layanan pada sistem informasi akademik Universitas Trilogi. Hasil penelitian ini menjadi masukan bagi Universitas Trilogi untuk terus meningkatkan tata kelola teknologi informasi pada sistem informasi akademik sebagai salah satu cara untuk meningkatan kualitas layanan yang diberikan agar visi dan misi universitas dapat tercapai. ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to see to what extent the implementation of information technology governance with COBIT 5 as a basic framework for assessing information technology and determine the effect of information technology governance on the academic information system. This data processing uses descriptive qualitative analysis and Partial Least Square analysis. The primary data was collected from the questionnaire that distributed to active student in odd semester 2020–2021 in Trilogi University. The result of this research is showing COBIT 5 with the domain EDM (Evaluate. Direct and Monitor) and the MEA (Monitor, Evaluate and Assess) domain have an effect on improving service quality at Trilogy University. While the DSS (Delivery, Service and Support) domain has no effect on improving service quality at Trilogi University. In consequence, Trilogi University is required to improve the governance of information technology in academic information system as way to enchance the service quality provided, so the vision and mission can be achieved.

The changes in information technology nowadays has influenced in many aspects, include the accounting system. In manual accounting, employees need to perform the whole accounting cycle manually on a periodic basis, while in computerized accounting; employees can use computer and accounting software to perform the job. By using AIS the tasks can perform easily and any kinds of report can be made easily. The changing in accounting system can impact the audit process. Audit need to adjust the system, both in audit process and personnel who conduct the audit. The personnel should have a good understanding of clients’ business process and knowledge about information technology, therefore audit will result in a good internal control. Internal control can detect whether organization’s objective can be achieved effectively and efficiently. The implementation of internal control on AIS audit meets some constraint namely need of continuous monitoring of internal control especially for network breakdown, hacked system, virus threatened, and difficulty tracing the audit trails.

The purpose of this study is to express the experiences, ideas, needs, and the use of information technology for the development of management information systems in a higher education institution. This study is qualitative approach research using the case study method. The research data collection uses the techniques of observation, interview, and documentation study. The research procedure used in this research consists of several research steps utilizing the case study method of Robert K. Yin: research planning, research design, research preparation, research data collection, research data analysis, and doing the research report. The research analysis is done by pattern matching. The data validity testing through data source triangulation and technique triangulation. The result of the study presents: (1) the analysis of management information system based on tacit and explicit knowledge through the process of exchanging experience, idea, and initiative, (2) the management information system design based on the needs analysis, and (3) the development of management information system using information technology.
