The admission activity of new students is an administrative process that is sure to occur every new school year and always repeats every year as a starting point for the search for quality resources in accordance with the criteria of each school. Selection is done manually such as using a spreadsheet or number processor still raises several problems including the length of the selection process. At the time of the participant selection process, it involved many criteria that were assessed (multi criteria). Efforts to assist the school in selecting participants from the results considered to be acceptable results require a decision support system for selecting new students. The method used to support students' selection decisions is AHP and SAW. AHP method is used to determine the weight of predetermined criteria, while the SAW method is used for alternative ranking. The purpose of alternative ranking is who has the right to be accepted as a new student based on predetermined criteria.

The university or campus is a higher education and research institution that provides academic degrees in various fields. The university certainly has several buildings that can be used as classrooms, laboratories, lecturers' rooms, etc. At a certain time, a university is not infrequently visited by guests, who tour the campus and visit buildings in the university environment. Not only guests, but the University also has new students every new school year. Every campus tour activity carried out by guests or new students, must always be guided by both lecturers and students. Based on these cases, this study aims to implement Augmented reality (AR) Technology using the Marker-Based method. This application is a building recognition application that can be used at a University. Each building will have a unique marker on each building. The concept of implementing this application is, by directing the camera opened through this application and directing the camera to the marker found in the building being visited. The camera will identify the marker, if the marker is recognized then the 3D object of the building will appear directly above the marker to give the user what the overall shape of the building looks like. Not only 3D objects, but the application also provides information about the building and also a picture of the user's position along with the two closest buildings that the user can visit afterward. By using this application, visitors do not need someone to guide them around the campus. This application has been tested with usability testing and user satisfaction reaches 83,4% which means that the application can be used and functioning for the user.</em></p>

Every year, all the colleges hold new student enrollment. It is needed to start a new school academic year. Unfortunately, the number of students who resigned is considerably high to reach 837 students and caused 324 empty seats. The college’s stakeholders can minimize the resignation number if the selection phase of new students is done accurately.  Making a  machine learning-based model can be the answer. The model will help predict which candidates who potentially complete the enrollment process. By knowing it in the first place will help the management in the selection process. This prediction is based on historical data. Data is processed and used to train the model using the Adaboost algorithm. The performance comparison between Adaboost and Decision Tree model is performed to find the best model. To achieve the maximum performance of the model, feature selection is performed using chi-square calculation. The results of this research show that the performance of Decision Tree is lower than the performance of the Adaboost algorithm. The Adaboost model has f-measure score of 90.9%, precision 83.7%, and recall 99.5%. The process of analyzing the data distribution of prospective new students was also conducted. The results were obtained if prospective students who tended to finish the enrollment process had the following characteristics:  graduated from an Islamic school, 19-21 years old, parents' income was IDR 1,000,000 to IDR. 5,000,000, and through the SBMPTN program.

Higher learning institutions play an important role in producing future talents as it does not only equip the students with knowledge but also inculcates value-added skills such as leadership skill. The skills are needed to prepare themselves for the overcoming challenge after graduated.  The involvement as a Student Representative Committee (SRC) is a good starting point for producing future leader as students get involved in various activities and decision-making process. The SRC is responsible for representing the voice of students community, especially related to the academic, welfare and co-curricular activities. Thus, the right selection of the SRC candidates is crucial as it will reflect universities’ good governance. This study wishes to gather the perceptions of students community towards SRC leadership criteria and look into the dominant criteria through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The study was conducted at Universiti Kuala Lumpur. The results revealed that the students community hope for the SRC members who have leadership talents such as good in Communication, Well-organised, Passionate, Creative, Commitment, Team-player and Visionary. By using AHP, Commitment, Passionate and Well-organised contributed to the highest weightage that indicated such criteria are important to be considered in the SRC selection process.

SMK XYZ is a Vocational School based on technology and located in South Jakarta. This school has several majors, namely Software Engineering (RPL), Network Computer Engineering (TKJ) and Multimedia (MM). Every new school year, new students of new students who register increases. However, there are problems encountered in the process of selecting student majors, namely inaccurate decision making, there is no ranking, decision making has not used the method and is still using Microsoft Excel, so it requires quite a long time in determining student majors. The purpose of this study is to create a decision support system that is expected to help in determining the right majors for new students in SMK XYZ in accordance with the criteria set by SMK XYZ. This research resulted in a decision support system using the Profile Matching Method as a method for determining alternative final values. Reports produced by this system are value reports that contain the values calculated by students' grades. This decision support system was created using MySQL as a database and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 as a system creation tool. With this support system, it can help the student in processing data and decision making in order to determine student majors.
