21st century mathematics learning is learning that refers to the four learning characters formulated in 4C, namely communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and innovation. One important aspect that needs to be improved is mathematical communication skills. This can be seen from the results of initial observations that the mathematical communication skills of students are still relatively low. This type of research is classroom action research with the aim to improve students' mathematical communication skills through the cooperative learning model gallery walk type. The research subjects were 32 students of semester V offering 2017 2017 State University of Malang 2019/2020 academic year. The material used is the limit function and derived functions. The results showed that the mathematical ability test scores in cycle I and cycle II were 69.6 and 78.1. The percentage of students who completed the first cycle and the second cycle was 67.5% and 80%. Based on the results of Cycle I and Cycle II, it can be seen that studying with a gallery walk type cooperative learning model can improve the mathematical communication skills of semester V students offering E 2017 2017 State University of Malang 2019/2020 academic year.

This study aims to determine (1) the mathematical communication ability of students taught by the gallery walk type cooperative learning model is higher than the mathematical communication skills of students taught by conventional learning models (2) student responses through the application of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model to communication skills. mathematics students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. The research method used is quasi-experimental. The population of this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. Sampling using simple random sampling. The sample is class VII-2 as the experimental class and class VII-1 as the control class. Data collection using a mathematical communication ability test sheet.The results showed (1) t_(count )= 3.56 and t_(table )= 1.67 or) t_(count ) > t_(table ) so that it can be concluded that students' mathematical communication skills are taught by cooperative learning model type gallery walk is higher than the mathematical communication ability of students who are taught by conventional learning models. (2) Based on the results of student responses, an average score of 3.55 was obtained so that it can be concluded that student responses through the application of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model to the mathematical communication skills of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan students were very positive.

This research is a quasi-experimental study which aims to describe the effect of cooperative learning type Think Pair Share (TPS) on students' mathematical communication skills, and to find out the percentage of students' activeness in participating in learning and knowing students' positive responses to learning. The output that will be generated in this study is that students can be more active in the learning process, more active in solving mathematical problems, and can be more confident in expressing their answers in public so that after applying cooperative learning models the Think Pair Share (TPS) mathematical communication skills of students will be better. The research subjects were divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group taught using the cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) type, and the control group taught using Conventional learning models. Each group is taught with the same frequency of meetings with the same material. The results of the study show that the application of the cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) influences students' mathematical communication skills

This study aims to improve the understanding and active learning of students of opportunity material using cooperative learning models of the TAI (Teams Assisted Individualization). This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were students of class XII IPA 2 of SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in the academic year of 2018/2019. The results of the study concluded that the implementation of classroom action through the use of the TAI (Teams Assisted Individualization) type of cooperative learning model on the opportunity material can improve students' understanding and activeness in mathematics learning. This is based on test results and observations. From the test results in the first cycle, the percentage of students who completed was 62.96% and in the second cycle the percentage of students who completed experienced an increase of 33.33% to 96.29%. While the observations of the two observers, in the first cycle produced an average percentage of students' activeness reached 66.35% with a visual activity percentage of 83.2% and writing activity 61.22% and in the second cycle an increase in the average percentage of student activity by 20.92% to 87.27 % with the percentage of visual activity 85.88%, writing activities and activities 88.68%. These results it can be concluded that the application of the TAI (Teams Assisted Individualization) type of cooperative learning model can improve the understanding and activeness of learning in class XII Science 2 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta odd semester 2018/2019

This research was aimed at examining the improving mathematical connection and communication ability and self-concept of vocational students through cooperative learning of jigsaw so that they were able to be more motivated in learning mathematics, more understanding mathematics learning itself and to  apply it in everyday life. This research method was a quasi-pretest-posttest experiment that applied a jigsaw cooperative learning model. This study involved two groups of students who  studied about mathematical connection and communication skills and students' self-concepts. The instruments used were in the form of mathematical connection and communication skills, as well as student self-concept questionnaires. The research instruments were firstly tested for validity (logical and empirical), reliability, distinguishing features and the level of difficulty of the questions. The achievement of mathematical connections and communication skills and the self-concept of students who got learning with a scientific approach to the type of cooperative learning model jigsaw was better than students who only learned the scientific approach. In this study there was also an association between the ability of connections with mathematical communication of students in the high category. There was an association between the ability of connections with students' self-concepts in the high category. There was an association between mathematical communication skills and students' self-concepts in the high category.

This classroom action research aims to improve the mathematical communication skills at X grade student of SMA Negeri 2 Narmada Kab. Lombok Barat through cooperative learning type Think Pair Share (TPS) with Mr Math (Microsoft Mathematic). This research was conducted in 2 cycles, with the research subjects were students of class X2 of SMA Negeri 2 Narmada in the academic year 2016/2017 with a total of 24 students. From the research that has been carried out, it is found that the average value of the test of students' mathematical communication skills in the first cycle is 57.58 and the second cycle is 70.05. The percentage of classical completeness in the first cycle was 22.72% and the second cycle was 82.60%. This shows that students' mathematical communication skills have increased. The total average score of students' oral mathematical communication skills in the first cycle was 2.43 with a good enough category and the second cycle was 2.98 with a good category. This shows that students' verbal mathematical communication skills have increased and have reached the specified indicators. The total average score of observations of teaching and learning activities (KBM) in the first cycle was 2.70 with a good category and the second cycle was 3.15 with a good category. Thus, it can be concluded that the Think Pair Share (TPS) type of cooperative learning with Mr.Math can improve students' mathematical communication skills

Students' mathematical communication is stated to be low because students learn by listening and seeing the teacher solve mathematical problems and students have difficulty in expressing everyday events in mathematical models. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) type of cooperative learning model on students' mathematical communication skills better than using scientific learning. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of research Quasi-Experimental Design and the design of this research The Nonequivalent Postets-Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Nisam, while the samples were class VIIIB as the experimental class and class VIII-A as the control class with the sampling technique of purposive sampling. The data collection technique in this study used a mathematical communication ability test. The data analysis was carried out for the mathematical communication ability test using the t-test because the data were normally distributed and homogeneous, the data were processed using SPSS 18 software and the hypothesis test results were obtained with a significant value of 0.000 less than 0.05, which means reject H0 and accept Ha. The results showed that there was an effect of the Inside-Outside Circle (IOC) type of cooperative learning model on students' mathematical communication skills.

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' mathematical communication and disposition abilities taught with discovery learning models. This study us quantitative approach with the type of experimental research and the research design us pretest and posttest design type experiments. The sample was chosen randomly from two classes of 7th grade in one of public junior high school in Sigli, Aceh. The research instrument used was mathematical communication ability test and mathematical disposition questionnaire. The data analysis of students' communication and disposition ability was done by two-way ANAVA test at a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that the improvement of students' mathematical communication and disposition skills taught with discovery learning models was better than those taught with conventional approaches. Furthermore, there was no interaction between discovery learning model and the level of students towards improving communication skills and mathematical dispositions. Therefore, the mathematics teachers can implement discovery learning models in learning to build the next polyhedron. Future researchers should conduct research at other schools in order to improve students' mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning

Keterampilan komunikasi matematis merupakan salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa Samin dalam menyelesaikan masalah geometri. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah anggota masyarakat adat Samin yang duduk di kelas VII SMPN 1 Margomulyo. Tahapan penelitian meliputi persiapan, pengumpulan data, analisis data, dan pembuatan laporan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Tes Kemampuan Matematika (TKM), Tes Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematika (TKKM), dan Pedoman Wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa dalam menulis ide matematika (penggunaan model matematika, rumus atau simbol) dengan jelas dan tepat untuk menyelesaikan suatu masalah tergolong rendah, Keterampilan komunikasi matematis tertulis siswa dalam menulis alasan jawaban yang diberikan adalah relatif rendah, keterampilan komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa dalam menulis ulang gagasan orang lain dengan menggunakan bahasanya sendiri tergolong sedang, dan keterampilan komunikasi matematika tertulis siswa dalam mengungkapkan kembali ide orang lain diklasifikasikan rendah.Mathematical communication skills are one of the goals of mathematics learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical communication ability of Samin students in solving geometric problems. The type of this research was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were members of the Samin indigenous people who were in Class VII at SMPN 1 Margomulyo. The stages of the research included preparation, data collection, data analysis, and report making. The research instruments used were the Mathematics Ability Test (TKM), the Mathematical Communication Ability Test (TKKM), and Interview Guidelines. The results show that the students 'written mathematical communication skills in writing mathematical ideas (the use of mathematical models, formulas, or symbols) clearly and precisely to solve a problem were classified as low. The students' written mathematical communication skills in writing the reasons for the answers given were relatively low, students' written mathematical communication skills in re-writing others' ideas using their own language were moderate, and students' written mathematical communication skills in re-expressing other people's ideas were classified as low.

This study aims to (1) find out the activities of teachers and students during the implementation of mathematics learning activities by applying Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model, (2) knowing the improvement of students' mathematical communication skills on geometry. Based on the results of observations made by researchers, the cooperative learning model of the Think Pair Share (TPS) type has been going well. Teacher activities and student activities are in a good category, this can be seen from the average score of teacher activity in the first cycle reached 20.75 (good), in the second cycle to 23.25 (good). While the average observation score of students in the first cycle reached 13.75 (enough), in the second cycle it increased to 19.5 (good). The results of the communication skills test in the first cycle were in the adequate category (55.56% of 36 students) and in the next cycle increased to a good category (72.22% of 36 students). From the results of the tests in the second cycle, the study was stopped because it had reached the expected criteria, namely the number of students in good category ≥ 70% of 36 students. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model of the Think Pair Share (TPS) type can improve the mathematical communication skills of students in class X MIPA 1 of SMAN 7 Bengkulu City.Keywords : Think Pair Share Learning Model, Mathematical Communication Ability

Learning method that can help students in improving mathematical communication and mathematical dispositions can be done through the application of discovery learning models. The results showed that the improvement of students' mathematical communication and disposition skills taught with discovery learning models was better than those taught with conventional approaches. Furthermore, there wasno interaction between discovery learning model and the level of students towards improving communication skills and mathematical dispositions. Therefore, mathematics teachers in SMP N 2 Sigli who teach in class VIII can use discovery learning models in learning to build the next flat side space. Futureresearchers should conduct research at other schools in order to improve students' mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning.
