<p>Management actions, which are supported by the implementation of corporate governance, is crucial in the decision making for any corporate actions. But in many occasions, the management took the decision to neglect the environment and social responsibility and set aside long-term goals of the company. On May 29, 2006 in the drilling area of PT Lapindo Brantas Inc. (Lapindo) located in Porong, Sidoarjo, an incident in which is one of the drilling well releases gas and mud. This case happened because the company allegedly shirking the implementation of social and environmental responsibility of theirs.The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of the activities of social and environmental responsibility of a company, and then connect the involvement of social environmental responsibility with the potential of alleged corporate crime. Using the content analysis method, the results showed that social and environmental responsibility of a company is very important to be implemented. In addition, management as manager of the company must always run actions guided by the principles of good governance. If the principles of good governance are not implemented by management, corporate actions whether intentional or not, will be more vulnerable and has the potential to intersect with corporate crime.</p><strong>Keywords</strong>: social and environmental responsibility, corporate crime, the principles of good governance

Este artigo visa avaliar como a responsabilidade socioambiental é um fator de competitividade para uma empresa do setor sucroalcooleiro instalada no Estado de Mato Grosso. O desenvolvimento foi embasado nas discussões sobre organizações no âmbito do setor sucroalcooleiro com foco na aplicação da responsabilidade socioambiental. A metodologia utilizada compreendeu o uso da técnica de pesquisa documental e bibliográfica aliada ao estudo de caso estruturado, a partir do cenário do setor sucroalcooleiro. Os resultados obtidos se referem como a responsabilidade socioambiental pode ser considerada um aspecto estratégico e um importante diferencial competitivo no mercado. Os projetos com foco na melhoria contínua do desempenho ambiental da empresa, como a adoção de praticas do seu papel de responsabilidade socioambiental que buscam contribuir para o crescimento e desenvolvimento das comunidades locais e regionais, a preservação do meio ambiente para a perpetuação da empresa, tornaram-se ainda mais credívéis perante aos stakeholders, os quais se mostram cada vez mais sensíveis e reativos às questões socioambientais. Palavras-chave: Responsabilidade Socioambiental. Stakeholders.  AbstractThis article aims to evaluate how socio-environmental responsibility is a factor of competitiveness for a company from the sugar and alcohol industry installed in the State of Mato Grosso. The development was based on discussions on organizations within the scope of the sugar and alcohol sector with a focus on the application of social and environmental responsibility. The methodology used included the use of the documentary and bibliographic research technique allied to the structured case study, based on the scenario of the sugar and alcohol industry. The results obtained refer to how social and environmental responsibility can be considered a strategic aspect and an important competitive differential in the market. The projects focused on the continuous improvement of the company's environmental performance, such as the adoption of practices of its social and environmental responsibility that seek to contribute to the growth and development of local and regional communities, the preservation of the environment for the perpetuation of the company, have made even more credible vis-à-vis stakeholders, who are increasingly sensitive and reactive to social-environmental issues. Keywords: Environmental Responsibility. В статье представлены результаты исследования влияния контента на вовлеченность персонала розничных сетей в отношения с брендом на примере социальной сети Facebook. Работа посвящена описанию подхода к классификации характеристик контента и изучению влияния данных характеристик на вовлеченность персонала в отношения с брендом в социальных сетях. Показана взаимосвязь вовлеченности покупателей в отношения с брендом в социальных сетях и вовлеченности персонала в отношения с брендом в социальных сетях. Новизна авторского подхода заключается в том, что в процессе проведения исследования учитывалась специфика розничных сетей, включая, как специфику бренд-сообщества, так и специфику контента российских розничных сетей в социальной сети Facebook. Результаты исследования позволят маркетологам розничных сетей повысить вовлеченность потребителей в отношения с брендом в социальных медиа. This article is the description of the investigations of the content influence on the Russian FMCG retail chains staff brand involvement in the social network sites (taking Facebook as an example), conducted in April 2019. Recently, most retail chains in the world have actively been using social networks to build relationships with the consumers. The success of the business itself depends upon the success of building those relationships. In this regard, most Russian retail chains have their own Facebook brand page. A consumer brand involvement in social networks is an important goal for every retail chain. In this regard, in recent years, a large number of investigations have been conducted, stating how content affects the consumer brand involvement in the social networks. At the same time, researchers suggest that the brand community is homogeneous and consists of consumers only. However, the logic of serviceoriented marketing itself shows that not only consumers, but also other stakeholders develop the relationships with the brands. The specific feature of the retail chains is a large number of staff who are also the members of the brand communities. According to the Facebook algorithm the staff brand involvement influences on the consumer brand involvement in the social media. That’s why a company should take care not only of the consumers brand involvement but also of the staff brand involvement. This study focuses on the impact of the content on the staff brand involvement in the social networks. It defines the relevance of this investigation. The originality of the author's approach is the analysis of the content influence on the staff brand involvement in the social networks. Based on the previous investigations of the content influence on the consumers brand involvement, the advertising influence on the consumers and other studied content factors, that affect the consumer and staff involvement in the social media, were identified and used in the content analysis that was applied for this investigation. The investigation was conducted by the content analysis method, 460 posts posted on the brand pages of the Russian retail chains on Facebook were analyzed within the period from January 1 till April 30, 2019. The results of the survey allow us to understand what kind of content influences on the staff brand involvement in the social nets. After completing the investigation, the authors developed recommendations for marketers of the retail chains that will allow increasing the staff brand involvement.

AbstrakPenggunaan metode kontrasepsi jangka panjang (MKJP) pada wanita usia subur di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah yaitu 4,7 persen. Salah satu jenis MKJP adalah intrauterine device (IUD). Mahasiswa Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Indonesia (FKM UI) dinilai memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup terhadap MKJP. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menggali lebih dalam tentang perilaku wanita usia subur dalam pemilihan kontrasepsi IUD di FKM UI. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam selanjutnya dianalisis dengan content analysis. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswi Pasca Sarjana FKM UI berusia 15-49 tahun yang telah menikah dan memutuskan menggunakan alat kontrasepsi. Sampel yang dipilih akan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu yang menggunakan IUD dan tidak menggunakan IUD. Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa faktor yang menghambat perilaku penggunaan kontrasepsi IUD adalah sikap dan faktor yang mendorong perilaku penggunaan IUD adalah dukungan suami. Intervensi yang mungkin dapat dilakukan adalah meningkatkan motivasi dan memperbaiki persepsi pengguna non IUD. Hal ini diharapkan dapat mengubah sikap pengguna non IUD dari tidak setuju menjadi setuju untuk menggunakan IUD. Selain itu peran dukungan suami perlu ditingkatkan dengan berbagai intervensi.Katakunci — Perilaku wanita usia subur, intrauterine device (IUD), kontrasepsi jangka panjang, kualitatif Abstract                                                                                                   The use of long-term contraceptive methods in women of childbearing age in Indonesia is still relatively low (4.7%). One type of long-term contraceptive methods is an intrauterine device (IUD). Students of Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Indonesia (FKM UI) is considered to have sufficient knowledge of the long-term contraceptive methods. The purpose of this study is to explore the women behavior of childbearing age in the selection of IUD in FKM UI. This research was a qualitative research with in-depth interview method then analyzed with content analysis method. The sample was FKM UI post graduate women students aged 15-49 years who have been married and decided to use contraception. The selected sample would be divided into two groups, those that used an IUD and didn’t use an IUD. The results of this study noted that the factors that inhibit IUD contraceptive use behavior are attitudes and the factors that encourage IUD use behavior are husband support. Interventions that may be done are to increase motivation and improve the perception of non-IUD users. This is expected to change the attitude of non-IUD users from disagreeing to agreeing to use an IUD. The study examined humorous interactions with intelligent personal assistants (IPAs, including Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Microsoft Cortana, Apple Siri) with the aim of classifying user utterances, IPA responses and user reactions of system responses. Data from online diaries and paper questionnaires were collected and analyzed using content analysis method. The findings suggest that the most frequent types of utterances include questions that test system “personality” and opinions. Joke requests are also frequent and produce pre-programmed humor that users generally find funny. The initial classification of humorous utterances has been validated and expanded using published datasets of humorous utterances for the four investigated IPAs. The findings can be used for immediate improvements to IPA performance as well as long-term development of IPA personas.

Bu araştırmada sığınmacılara yönelik paylaşımların yapıldığı sosyal medyada yer alan sözlüklerden birinde sığınmacılara yönelik algıya bakılmıştır. Yöntem olarak nitel desende olan bu çalışmada, bir sosyal medya sitesinde yer alan paylaşımlar içerik analizi yoluyla derinlemesine incelenip yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda sosyal medya kullanıcılarının sığınmacıları büyük bir güvensizlik ortamı ve huzursuzluk yaratan bireyler olarak gördükleri saptanmış, sığınmacılarla yaşanan deneyimlerin ve medyadaki haberlerin bu düşüncelerin oluşmasında etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bunun yanında sosyal medya kullanıcılarının devletin sığınmacılar konusunda yanlış politika izlediğini düşündükleri ve sığınmacılar için etkili bir planlama yapılmadığını ifade ettikleri görülmüştür. Çalışmanın sonuçları doğrultusunda medyada sığınmacılar hakkında çıkan haberlerde olumsuz ve şiddet temalı haberlerin azaltılması, Suriyeli sığınmacıların durumu, sahip oldukları haklar ve topluma yansımaları hakkında doğru ve bilgilendirici kamu spotları hazırlanması ayrıca sığınmacıların topluma entegre olma sürecinin her basamağında daha planlı ve etkili bir yol izlenmesi önerilebilir.ABSTRACT IN ENGLISHPerceptions about Syrian refugees on social media: an evaluation of a social media platformIn this research, posts which are about Syrian refugees were published in a social media platform, called as “sözlük” were investigated. The research is a qualitative research. The posts in this platform are analyzed with content analysis method. According to results of analyses, social media users see Syrian refugees as people who create an insecure and a restless environment. The experiences people had with them and news have an effect on this view. In addition, social media users think that government made inappropriate policies and ineffective plans about Syrian refugees. It is suggested negative news about Syrian refugees should be decreased and government should make safer policies. In addition, adaptation of refugees to society should be made in more planned and effective way.

Abstract This article argues that the bulk of the bilateral investment treaties (BITs) that Ethiopia has ever concluded, to regulate its bilateral foreign investment relations, don’t contain an environmental provision that require investing corporations to discharge responsibility towards environment and there is a pressing call for either to re-negotiate, update or engage in concluding of environmental side agreements (ESA). To substantiate the argument the trends of BIT making is assessed, the status of Ethiopian BITs have been evaluated through content analysis, environmental responsibility of Ethiopia has been examined both from domestic and international perspective, relevant reasons for the regulation of environment in foreign investment through BIT have been discussed and justifications for the need to renegotiate, update or make ESA in Ethiopia have been highlighted.

Abstract That supply chain management and logistics are a determining factor for the long term success of a company was well documented by Forrester over a half century ago [1], with the importance of the statement only growing through the intervening years.Whether consciously factored into the operating mode or not, logistics and distribution channel management plays a critical role in the life, and death, of a firm. From the rudimentary beginnings of the start-up company to the hectic world of the growth company and onto the relatively secure existence in mature markets, the value chain consisting of logistics and distribution channel linkages follows the firm, until it solidifies into immutable form of the mature value chain and begins to exert an inexorable pressure on the survival of the entire chain, and conversely the chain imposes its will on the members. The emergence of mature industry value chains is often driven by the need to monopolistically control logistics and distribution channels which provides a competitive advantage but also introduces a serious exposure to pending shock loadings of the chain.

Permainan AI merujukkepada teknik yang diaplikasikan dalam permainan komputer dan video seperti pembelajaran, pathfinding,perancangan, dan lain-lain bagi mewujudkan tingkah laku pintar dan autonomi kepada karakter dalampermainan. Objektif utama kajian ini adalah untuk mengemukakan beberapa teknik yang biasa digunakandalam merekabentuk dan mengawal karakter berasaskan komputer untuk permainan Ms Pac-Man antaratahun 2005-2012. Abstract Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques are successfully used and applied in a wide range of areas, includingmanufacturing, engineering, economics, medicine and military. In recent years, there has been anincreasing interest in Game Artificial Intelligence or Game AI. Game AI refers to techniques applied incomputer and video games such as learning, pathfinding, planning, and many others for creating intelligentand autonomous behaviour to the characters in games. The main objective of this paper is to highlightseveral most common of the AI techniques for designing and controlling the computer-based charactersto play Ms. Pac-Man game between years 2005-2012. The Ms. Pac-Man is one of the games that used asbenchmark for comparison of autonomous controllers in a series of international Game AI competitions.An extensive content analysis method was conducted through critical review on previous literature relatedto the field. Findings highlight, although there was various and unique techniques available, the majorlimitation of previous studies for creating the Ms. Pac-Man game characters is a lack of generalizationcapability across different game characters. The findings could provide the future direction for researchersto improve the Generalization A.I capability of game characters in the Game Artificial Intelligence market.

PurposeThe housing construction industry is one of the most lucrative sectors for developed countries. However, homebuyers are often vulnerable when left with latent building defects in their new-build house. Many nations have thus implemented new home warranty schemes to protect consumers and stimulate residential production. These warranty programs vary excessively from state to state given the distinct nature of environments. Previous studies have attempted to compare one with another but did not apply a consistent comparative method when doing so. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics defining a new home warranty and to develop a standardised comparative framework.Design/methodology/approachAfter evaluating the characteristics outlined in multiple home warranty programs, a qualitative content analysis method was used to establish coding, categories and themes in order to create the framework. The methodology relied mostly on cross-referencing from academic papers, methodical reviews, government documents and professional consultant reports.FindingsThis paper reviewed warranty schemes from six countries: Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, France and Malaysia. The findings suggest that home warranty programs are defined by five main themes: political involvement; homeowner protection; financial sustainability; quality management; and dispute resolution. At the end, the research created a comparative framework of 101 codes that could be used to accurately measure the efficiency of a home warranty scheme.Originality/valueGathering all defining characteristics of new housing warranties into a unique comparative framework rectifies a gap in the literature. Such a flexible tool will aid future practitioners in the field to undertake comparative case study analysis through qualitative research methods.
