<p><em>Ovitrap is one of the effective methods in controlling Aedes aegepty sp. Ovitrape is expected to be used by the community to reduce the incidence of dengue fever. The training using video media and leaflets is one way to increase the knowledge and skills of the community in making ovitrap. The purpose of this study was to determine the training in making ovitrap as an effort to reduce dengue hemorrhagic fever. </em><em>This type of research is quasi-experimental research using a pretest-posttest design. The location in this study was conducted in Nagori Pematang Simalungun, Simalungun Regency. The sample of this research is the entire population (total sampling), namely all cadres who are still active as many as 40 people who are divided into two groups. This study will compare the knowledge and skills in making ovitrape in the film and leaflet media group. </em><em>This study indicates that leaflet and film media can increase bad knowledge into good knowledge in making ovitrape. Leaflet and film media can improve skills in making ovitrape.Cadres have characteristics with the majority of the age 30-39 years old, complete junior high school education and work as housewives. </em><em>Training using leaflets and video media can increase knowledge in making ovitrape. Leaflet and film media can improve skills in making ovitrape.</em></p>

ABSTRAK  Latar belakang: Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) disebabkan oleh virus Dengue dapat menyebabkan kematian. Pencegahan DBD yang dianggap paling tepat adalah Pemberantasan Sarang Nyamuk (PSN). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan pengendalian vektor Demam Berdarah pada siswa sekolah dasar terhadap Maya Index di Majalengka. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experiment (pretest-posttest control group design). Sebanyak 4 sekolah terpilih sebagai kelompok intervensi dan 4 sekolah lainnya sebagai kontrol. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV-VI yang terdiri dari 171 siswa pada kelompok intervensi dan 163 pada kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah formulir pemantauan jentik berkala. Hasil: Jumlah rumah dengan kategori Maya Index tinggi berkurang dari 27,5% menjadi 9,4%. Terjadi penurunan angka BRI kategori tinggi pada kelompok intervensi dari 20,5% menjadi 1,8%. Pada kelompok kontrol tidak terjadi penurunan angka BRI kategori tinggi (22,1%), sebaliknya terjadi penurunan kategori rendah dari 34,4% menjadi 3,7%. Tidak terjadi penurunan angka HRI pada kelompok intervensi maupun kontrol. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan pengendalian vektor Demam Berdarah dapat menurunkan nilai BRI dan Maya Index, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai HRI. Tidak adanya perubahan nilai HRI menunjukkan bahwa kebersihan dan sanitasi lingkungan merupakan faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap probabilitas kejadian demam berdarah. Kata Kunci : Demam Berdarah, Maya Index, pelatihan, pengendalian vektor   ABSTRACT Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) caused by Dengue virus could cause death. The most appropriate prevention of Dengue is eradication of mosquito nests (PSN). This study aims to determine the effect of Dengue vector control training on elementary students towards Maya Index in Majalengka. Method: This study used quasi-experimental design (pretest-posttest control group design). A total of 4 schools were selected as intervention groups and 4 other schools as controls. The subjects were students in grades IV-VI consisting of 171 students in the intervention group and 163 in the control group. The instrument used was periodic larva monitoring form. Results: The number of houses with a high Maya Index category in the intervention group decreased from 27.5% to 9.4%. There was a decrease in the high BRI category in the intervention group from 20.5% to 1.8%. In the control group, there was no decrease in the high BRI category (22.1%), on the contrary, there was a decrease in the low category from 34.4% to 3.7%. There was no decrease in HRI rates both of intervention or control groups. Conclusion: Dengue Fever vector control training could decrease the value of BRI and Maya Index, but does not affect the value of HRI. The absence of changes in HRI  indicate that environmental hygiene and sanitation are factors that influence the probability of dengue fever occurrence. Keywords: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, Maya Index, training, vector control

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis CTL pada materi pokok cahaya dan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan perangkat pembelajaran tersebut terhadap prestasi belajar fisika siswa kelas VIII. Penelitian ini adalah Quasi eksperimental dengan menggunakan metode penelitian R&D. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kuripan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikan 5%. Rata-rata nilai N-Gain diperoleh melalui data posttest dan pretest. Hasil peneilitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis CTL yang telah dikembangkan pada materi pokok cahaya berpengaruh terhadap peningkatkan prestasi belajar fisika siswa kelas VIII. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Perangkat Pembelajaran Berbasis CTL, Prestasi Belajar.Abstract. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar matematika siswa menggunakan model role playing lebih dari hasil belajar matematika siswa menggunakan pembelajaran ekspositori di SMPN 21 Kota Bengkulu pada pokok bahasan aritmetika sosial. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment (Eksperimen semu) dengan desain penelitian yaitu The Nonequivalent Posttest-only  Control Group Design. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar berupa tes akhir (posttest) yang berbentuk tes essay. Analisis uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t untuk sampel independen, diperoleh bahwa  dan , maka yang berarti  diterima. Hal ini didukung oleh perhitungan melalui SPSS versi 23 yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,159 dengan taraf signifikan ( ) = 0,05, sehingga Sig. (2-tailed) > ( ). Hasil penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar matematika siswa menggunakan model role playing sama dengan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan pembelajaran ekspositori di SMP Negeri 21 Kota BengkuluKata Kunci: hasil belajar matematika, model role playing, pembelajaran ekspositori.  AbstractThis research was purposed to know difference the student learning result of mathematics by using role playing learning model with expository learning on the subject of aritmetika sosial at the grade VII of Junior High School 21 Kota Bengkulu. This research was a quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The instrument used in this research is posttest. The analysis hypotesis test used t-test for independent samples, hence obtained that  and , thus,  which means  is granted. SPSS version 23 program showed that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,159 with significance level ( ) = 0,05, thus Sig. (2-tailed) > ( ). The result of mathematics by using role playing model with the expository learning at SMPN 21 Bengkulu is equivalent.Keyword: results outcomes, role playing model, expository learning

<p class="Abstract">The aims of this research to determine the effect of Think Talk Write (TTW) and Think Pair Share (TPS) model with Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach viewed from mathematical-logical intelligence. This research employed the quasi experimental research. The population of research was all students of the eight graders of junior high school in Karangamyar Regency in academic year 2016/2017. The result of this research shows that (1) TTW with RME approach gave better mathematics achievement than TPS with RME approach, (2) Students with high mathematical-logical intelligence can reach a better mathematics achievement than those with average and low, whereas students with average mathematical-logical intelligence can reach a better achievement than those with low one, (3) In TTW model with RME approach, students with high mathematical-logical intelligence can reach a better mathematics achievement than those with average and low, whereas students with average and low mathematical-logical intelligence gave same mathematics achievement, and  in TPS model with RME approach students with high mathematical-logical intelligence can reach a better mathematics achievement than those with average and low, whereas students with average mathematical-logical intelligence can reach a better achievement than those with low one (4) In each category of  mathematical-logical intelligence, TTW with RME approach and TPS with RME approach gave same mathematics achievement.</p>

The purpose of this study was to determine differences in students' mathematical understanding abilities between those using Cabri 3D by using ordinary learning models. This research is a quasi-experimental research. The sample of the research was grade VIII students of one junior high school in Cibinong. The research instrument used was pretest and posttest. Research data were analyzed using t-test. The results of this study indicate that the mathematical understanding ability of students who learn with 3D cabri media is better than students who study with ordinary learning.

> ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the ability of students' understanding of mathematicalconcepts by using Problem Posing approach is higher than Direct Instruction Learningin VIII class at Private Junior High School of Methodist Tanjung Morawa. This researchis a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttes design.The population in this studyis all students of class VIII consisting of 3 classes, while the sample in this study werestudents of class VIII-1 (experimental class) as many as 31 people and class VIII-2(control class ) of 31 people. The research instrument in data collection is a test. Beforetesting the hypothesis first tested the normality of data by using Liliefors test andhomogeneity of data using F test. From the test it was obtained that the pretest results ofboth samples distributed normal and homogeneous, thus the authors can give treatmentto both samples. From the result of pretest-posttes data analysis using t-test at α = 0,05we get t_count> t_ (table) that is 1,955> 1,677 so that H_o is rejected and H_a accepted.So it can be concluded that the ability to comprehend the concept of mathematics studentsusing Problem Posing approach is higher than Direct Instruction Learning in VIII.Keywords: Posing problem, Understanding of mathematical conceptsABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematikasiswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan Problem Posin glebih tinggi daripada DirectInstruction Learning di kelas VIII SMP Swasta Methodist Tanjung Morawa. Penelitianini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttes. Populasi dalampenelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 3 kelas,sedangkan sampeldalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-1(kelas eksperimen) sebanyak 31 orang dankelas VIII-2 (kelas kontrol) sebanyak 31 orang. Instrumen penelitian dalam pengumpulandata adalah tes. Sebelum pengujian hipotesis terlebih dahulu diuji normalitas data denganmenggunakan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas data menggunakan uji F. Dari pengujianyang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa hasil pretest kedua sampel berdistribusi normal danhomogen, dengan demikian penulis bisa memberikan perlakuan kepada kedua sampel.Dari hasil analisis data pretest-posttes dengan menggunakan uji-t pada tarafdiperoleh yaitu sehingga ditolak dan diterima.Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswadengan menggunakan pendekatan Problem Posing lebih tinggi daripada DirectInstruction Learning di kelas VIII.Kata kunci: Problem Posing, Pemahaman Konsep

This research investigated the effect of picture series technique to develop the students’ ability in expressing ideas in descriptive writing. It was a quasi – experimental research that involved two classes of samples, they are experimental class and control class. The population consisted of the second year students’ of Junior High School Number 14 Bengkulu in Academic Year 2008/2009. The experimental class was treated by picture series technique for one month, while the control class was taught by using the conventional technique. Both classes were given pre test before treatment. The average score of both classes were analyzed by using the t -test formula. T count was smaller than t table (0.126<2.000). It means that there was no significance difference between the experimental and the control class. In other words, those classes could be accepted as the samples for this research. Both classes were given a post test after them giving a treatment (by using picture series technique) for several times. The average scores both classes were calculated by using the t-test formula. T obtained was higher than t-table (4.054>2.000). The result showed that there was a significant difference in post test score average between the experimental class and the control class. It means that picture series technique could improve the Junior High School Students’ ability in expressing ideas in descriptive writing.
