Abstract. Problem. The publications analysis about the self-propelled scrapers use on sites of road and reclamation construction is showed that during the performance of working operations there is unacceptable wear of the tires tread as a result of the intensive sliding on the support surface. Over time, the pneumatic tires wear leads to decrease on the durability of the wheeled mover or tire failure as a result of the carcass rupture and the tread delamination. In its turn, the time factor of the tire tread wear depends directly on the duration of the scraper operating cycle, which implements the traction and transport modes. Goal. The life time increasing of the wheeled mover for the self-propelled scraper by reducing the tire tread wear. Methodology. Analytical methods for interaction process research of the pneumatic tires with support surface are used. Mathematical modeling methods were used to determine the time factor of the tire tread wear during scraping. Results. Dependencies for determining the duration of operating cycle components according to the elliptical scheme of scraping organization are presented. Based on the proposed mathematical model, such as takes into account the force, speed and time factors, the fractions of tire tread wear are determined by the components of the scraper operating cycle, which including its maneuvering in the face. It was found that most often the tire tread wear occurs when moving of the soil-loaded scraper. The presented calculation results of the tire life time according to the proposed method are showed the sufficient convergencewith the scraper performance attributes, taking into account only the abrasive mechanism of the tire tread wear. Originality. To determine the life time of pneumatic tires for the self-propelled scraper, as the most fully combined characteristic features of the traction and transport machine, it is proposed to use the preferred mechanism of tire tread wear – abrasive, as well as the deformation models of the pneumatic tire and support surface. Practical value. The use of the proposed method for calculating the tire tread wear will to make the life time forecast of the wheeled mover for the self-propelled scraper at the design stage and to determine the reasonable needs for material and technical means of this machine operation.

Discussed are actual questions of a sociological analysis of the social adaptation of various ethnic groups, since globalization disrupts the natural course of this process. We consider it important to preserve the ethnic identity of each nation, subject to their active participation in modern general civilizational development, in order to make a worthy contribution. In order to identify the characteristic features of social adaptation of ethnic groups, two were selected: Khinalugs and Talyshs. The method of analyzing the history of the development and formation of these peoples and the modern conditions of their life revealed the characteristic features of social adaptation here. The considered facts and tendencies in the vital activity of the indicated nationalities gave grounds to draw the following conclusions. In the life of the Hinalugians, their geographical isolation from the rest of the world played a decisive role, which helped them to preserve their unique language and way of life. Now, thanks to the expanded possibilities of communication, this village is exposed to the active influence of the outside world, which fundamentally changes the nature and possibilities of social adaptation of each subsequent generation of people. The Talyshs, being a larger ethnic unit, were subjected to assimilation and other influences of the external world more actively. Despite this, they managed for many decades to preserve their originality. In the modern era of globalization, the general social processes actively influence the process of their social adaptation. Thus, the self-consciousness of the ethnos is destroyed, the self-consciousness of the national identity is formed.

This paper presents the results of theoretical studies of the drive belting and grinding belts` acoustic characteristics as elements of flexible connections, that fundamentally distinguishes them from bobbin sanding and cylinder-grinding woodworking machines. It also has the significant differences in comparison with other sources in terms of stiffness and tension forces. The choice of the noise source models is justified by the characteristic features of the kinematics of the machine tools and the grinding technological process. The arrangement of the machines` acoustic system of chosen group suggests that the main sources of energy radiation are: grinding belts and belt drives of the work pieces and grinding units, ground work pieces, electric motors. It is compared the expected noise levels with sanitary standards for determining the excess and the sources that generate them. These data are the main information for the acoustic calculation and design of the noise reduction systems of the above sources at the design stage in such woodworking equipment, and it also determines the acoustic efficiency of the noise protection systems and consider to design these systems in accordance with the implementation of the sanitary noise standards at the machine operator workplaces.

The importance of the time factor in online learning is starting to be recognized as one of the main factors in the learners' achievements and drop outs (Barbera, Gros, & Kirshner, 2012; Park & Choi, 2009; Romero, 2010). Despite the recognition of the time factor importance, there is still the need for theorizing temporality in the context of online education. In this chapter, the authors contribute to the advancement of the evaluation of time factors in online learning by adapting the theoretical framework of the Academic Learning Times (Caldwell, Huitt, & Graeber, 1982; Berliner, 1984) for evaluating the online learners' time regulation. For this purpose, they compare two case studies based on the Academic Learning Times framework. The case studies characterize online learner regulation based on an analysis of online learners at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), Spain, and the initiatives taken by the instructional team of the Virtual Campus at the University of Limoges (CVTIC) to support online learner time regulation on this virtual campus in France. After comparing the two case studies, the chapter provides guidelines for improving online learners' individual and collaborative time regulation and reflects about the need to advance in the theorization of the time factor frameworks in online education.

A model for compressible Air Cushion Vehicles (ACV) is presented. In this model the compressible Bernoulli's equation and the Newton's second law of motion are used to predict the dynamic behavior of the heave response of the ACV in both time and frequency domains. The mass flow rate inside the air cushion of this model is assumed to be constant. The self excited response and the cushion pressure of the ACV is calculated to understand the behavior of the system in order to assist in the design stage of such systems. It is shown in this study that the mass flow rate and the length of the vehicle's skirt are the most significant parameters which control the steady state behavior of the self excited oscillations of the ACV. An equation to predict the transient time of the oscillatory response or the settling time in terms of the system parameters of the ACV is developed. Based on the developed equations, the optimum parameters of the ACV that lead to minimum settling time are obtained.

The Philosophy of Right is not usually taken to contain a prescriptive ethics. Yet to establish as much regarding the elementary relations of the economy is the task of this essay. The project is cast into three parts. It begins with Hegel's account in the ‘Introduction’ of the free self prior to the exposition of the modes of just conduct or philosophy of right proper. It is an account of freedom not yet realized — without any particular content. Yet, the point is established that the philosophy of justice will be based on a twofold notion of self-determination. Most of the ‘Introduction’ concerns the argument that freedom or valid conduct has to do with pure self-determination, the self determining itself. The claim is also made that philosophy establishes its own legitimacy through its conceptual self-determination. Part two deals with the question of how freedom can be realized in civil society where the individual's governing orientation is particularity. The characteristic features of civil society do not encourage the expectation that freedom can be realized there. One, particularity itself appears to be rooted in a natural necessity which seems to preclude any possibility of freedom. Two, the inherently social character of civil society seems to rule out the exercise of a freedom that is about the self's relation to itself in self-determination. Three, the pursuit of particularity characteristic of civil society seems inherently antisocial and thus not a suitable mode of conduct for ethics. However, the argument will be made that the theory can conceive of the relations of particularity in a way that makes the free self inherently social and particularity both social and free from natural determinations.

Modern development of radio equipment is characterized by an increase in the speed of processes of transmission and processing of information, miniaturization and integration into unified complexes that physically bridles the sources and receptors of interference. All this leads to the strengthening of the requirements to ensure compliance with the conditions of electromagnetic compatibility and the need for its evaluation at the design stage of radio engineering devices and systems, because the incomplete or incorrect assessment of these requirements leads to a significant increase in time and material costs of the manufacturer, for further development of the development of electronic equipment and reduction its competitiveness. Widespread use of different purposeful electronic means leads to an increase in the levels of electromagnetic fields created by them in the surrounding space. These fields are obstacles for other similar devices, may degrade the operating conditions and reduce the effectiveness of their use. In this process, it is easy to see the characteristic features of dialectical development - progress in this area is restrained by the negative phenomena generated by its development. Further progress requires the overcoming of this trend, that is, development on a new quality level, which is to ensure the joint operation of various means. The key is that the actions of the electromagnetic fields, which are created by some technical means to the other, are carried out for the transmission of information, its processing, or vice versa, violation of the process of transmission and processing of data. Therefore, an analysis is proposed that allows preliminary prediction of the fulfillment of the conditions of electromagnetic compatibility in a group of radio-electronic means that have a number of sources of interference and radio engineering devices on which they affect. In this case, the important issue of checking the provision of electromagnetic compatibility of radio-electronic means is to determine the magnitude of the permissible power at which provides electromagnetic compatibility. The purpose of this article is to consider, from the general positions, the main tasks of the analysis and evaluation of the electromagnetic compatibility of radio-electronic means

In this paper I analyze early Heidegger’s concept of history. First, I argue that early Heidegger makes use of three distinct concepts or spheres of history, namely (1) history as intergenerational process, (2) history as personal or autobiographical development, and (3) history as the real center and origin of all intentional acts in the intentional self. Second, I argue that an essential motif in Heidegger’s discussion is the re-appropriation of what he considers the externalized and expropriated historical reality in all three spheres. I suggest that this constitutes an objective parallelism to similar moves in Marx and neo-Marxist thought, especially Lukács and the Frankfurt School. I show that Heidegger is on his way towards an ethics of time. First, in opposition to theoretical historicism and historical aestheti-cism or determinism of his time, early Heidegger advocates the active historical participation in history, the engagement in one’s historical situation or praxis. Second, in opposition to the publically regimented and reified time frames, calendars and interpretations, Heidegger argues for the self-reflexive, historical shaping of one’s very own and unique life-time. Third, because Heidegger finds the origin of all history in the historical enactments of intentions in the intentional self, he ultimately argues for the self-reflexive acknowledgment of this ultimate historicity at the very heart of human intentionality, calling for the always renewed accentuation of this inevitable and ultimate historicity as a necessary condition for authentic temporality.

Currently, there are about 150 manufacturers of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP), which are constantly designing and implementing new machines with advanced capabilities. Along with the improvement of hoisting equipment, the support devices of the MEWP are also improved. Therefore, there is a need to investigate the coefficient of increase of the support surface area after the deployment of a mobile hoist for different types of support devices. Goal. The aim of this work is to study how the coefficient of increase of the support surface area after the deployment of the support device depends on the length of the support projecting for different designs of support devices used in MEWP. Methodology. Analytical methods of studying the designs with variable geometrical parameters were used in the work. To obtain the dependences of the coefficient of increase of the support surface area after the deployment of the support device on the length of the support projecting, the methods of mathematical modeling employing computer technology were used. Results. The analysis of the dependences of the coefficient of the support surface area increase after the deployment of the support device on the length of the support projecting showed that the use of the considered support devices enlarges the coefficient of increase of the support surface area from 1.9 with angular supports to 3.4 for Spider type support devices. Originality. It is proposed to consider the coefficient of increase of the support surface area, which enables to take into account the lengths and angles of the supports when determining the support surface area. Practical value. With the results of the study it is possible to choose the type of support device and its geometric parameters at the design stage which will

Environmental pollution problems and energy-saving issues of urban tunnels have increasingly been attracting people’s attention. The paper aims at investigating a reasonable time factor for CO-based emission factors in the ventilation design of urban road tunnels. The study results show that the prediction curve of CO-based emission factor for passenger cars consists of two stages. The average reduction rates of Stage I (2004–2010) and Stage II (2010–2030) are 38% and 14% per year, respectively. The CO emission factor series of passenger cars conforms to exponential function distribution. The time factors of CO-based emission backcalculated from the measured data range from 4.9% to 12.6%, which are 2.4–6.3 times the specified value in the Chinese ventilation specification but slightly smaller than predicted ones. Based on four aspects of predicted results, back analysis results, related references, and engineering applications, it is indicated that the time factor of CO-based emission factor (2%) in the current ventilation specification is conservative. And when defining 2000 and 2010 as base years, respectively, 4% and 3% can be used as the time factors of CO-based emission factors respectively for the ventilation design of urban tunnels. This study can provide a reference for ventilation design of urban tunnels in other regions.

Contaminated plastic waste if undergo a mechanical recycling process will have a low value. This can be overcome by repetitive implementation of Material Value Conservation (MVC) through material purity protection from design stage to the end of the material life cycle. Repetition of recycling up to eight times caused degradation of mechanical properties of plastics by up to 20%. The repetition was done on a laboratory scale with pure polypropylene as raw material. This research was conducted to overcome the degradation of plastic properties by mixing recycled plastic pellets with virgin plastic in the most optimal proportion. Plastic blends with certain compositions were recycled up to 8 times, then its mechanical properties are tested with the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) methods. This research revealed the opportunities to utilize the 6th recycled plastic pellets by mixing it with virgin plastic to improve its mechanical properties. Furthermore, this research shows that repetitive recycling of plastic blends with the implementation of material value conservation (MVC) could increase the value of recycled plastic pellets as raw materials and extend the life time of plastic materials.
