The paper investigates enterprises in the Libyan tourism industry and their perception of the role of e-marketing in developing the industry. It considers enterprises that do not apply e- marketing, the problems they face and the benefits they would gain from an e-marketing programme. In relation to this the importance of e-marketing and the extent to which theory is followed is examined. The paper explores what should be done to develop e-marketing for tourist enterprises and how to implement strategic plans for the industry to increase its market share to enable it to compete in the international market place. The tourism industry is important to Libya’s economy and greater consideration should be given to its development and, in particular, to e-marketing. This is especially the case for small and medium-sized tourism enterprises (SMTEs) since most industrial sectors depend on these composing 50% privately owned and the rest full or part government owned.

The article deals with the specifics of volunteering in tourism industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Of particular importance is the problem of developing volunteering movement in tourism sphere of Kazakhstan, which is in the process of formation and integration. Developing volunteering in tourism for Kazakhstan is an important factor in ensuring its growth, forming positive image, creating favourable conditions for the tourism business, increasing awareness about the country, and improving the well-being of its people. The relevance of the topic is that among various directions of tourism development, volunteering has a powerful, but underestimated resource for creating positive image of a country, solving social, economic and environmental problems, improving the quality of tourism services provided, helping the population in emergencies, different life situations, which may occur in the course of a travel. The purpose of this work is to analyse the theoretical aspects regarding the role of volunteering in tourism development, identifying its trends and problems, as well as developing scientifically based applied recommendations to increase the attractiveness of volunteering in tourism. The results obtained in the course of the study can be implemented in fostering volunteering development in tourism sphere.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to measure tourists' satisfaction with quality of life issues at an arts festival - the Aardklop National Arts Festival in Potchefstroom. Problem investigated: Understanding satisfaction with quality of life issues could assist Festival organizers and other businesses to improve services for tourists by tailoring these to meet their needs. Satisfied tourists spread positive word-of-mouth communication and are more likely to return in the future. Methodology: A self-administered survey developed and validated by Neal, Sirgy and Uysal (1999:156 & 2004:245) was fielded at the 2007 Aardklop National Arts Festival in Potchefstroom. The target population included all visitors to the Festival who were staying for two or more days, and who had travelled to Potchefstroom from elsewhere. Findings and implications: Respondents were satisfied with travel / tourism services and experiences at the Festival, and with their leisure time and life in general. However, certain things at the Festival led to lowered levels of satisfaction. Demographically, respondents did not differ significantly in their levels of satisfaction with travel / tourism services, travel / tourism experiences, leisure life, and life in general at the Festival except in terms of population group and region from which they came. Organizers of the Festival and other businesses should take cognizance of the fact that all parties involved in providing services to tourists attending an arts festival impact on their satisfaction levels with travel / tourism services and experiences - and ultimately also on their quality of life. Tourists attending the arts festival are not homogenous and differ substantially in terms of their demographic profile. Tourist service providers should tailor their offerings in order to satisfy the varied needs of the different types of tourist attending the Festival. Originality and value of the research: This research focused on measuring tourists' satisfaction with quality of life issues at an arts festival. Such research has never before been conducted in South Africa; the results contribute to the deeper insight of interested parties (such as the tourism industry and arts festival managers) into what they need to offer at such events.

O presente artigo tem como principal objetivo averiguar como as empresas de Ecoturismo e Turismo de Aventura percebem a atuação do poder público e do privado em ações direcionadas para a acessibilidade. Considerando que o objeto de estudo é a acessibilidade, no decorrer da pesquisa buscou-se compreender como questões relacionadas a esse tema são percebidas pelos empreendedores; se o mercado está se adequando para receber esse perfil de público com deficiência ou mobilidade reduzida; e se há demonstração de interesse em tornar atividades acessíveis para essa demanda crescente. Os principais resultados do estudo demonstram que a maioria das empresas não estão preparadas para atender esse público, porém apontam direções que visam a melhoria no atendimento do público em questão e a qualidade da oferta de Ecoturismo e Turismo de Aventura no quesito acessibilidade. Accessibility in Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism: the role of the government and private companies The main objective of this article is to ascertain how Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism companies perceive the role of the government and private companies in activities related to accessibility. Whereas the focus of this study is accessibility, during the research phase it was sought to understand how issues related to this topic are perceived by entrepreneurs, if the market is adapting to be able to accommodate persons with disabilities or reduced mobility, and any interest has been demonstrated in making activities accessible in light of this growing demand. The main results of the study show that most companies are not prepared to accommodate this segment of the population; however, suggestions are made for improving their ability to meet the needs of this public, as well as the quality of Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism services in terms of accessibility. In recent years, the role of health tourism has become more significant in Hungary due to growing health awareness, good domestic conditions and the increasingly completed health services. Beside the conditions Hungary has long traditions and internationally accepted references in this area, nowadays wellness tourism is becoming increasingly popularHungary is one of the biggest source of thermal waters, thus health tourism can be a vital part of the domestic tourism industry. The developments of health tourism services are also important for tourist destination. In this paper an overall assessment was done about the services belong to health tourism. Applying a questionnaire survey the evaluation of a Hungarian practice was accomplished, and about 100 wellness hotel were involved, from all parts of Hungary. The results indicate that quality management systems are applied in high rate, but requirements are not determined or applied precisely. Also important establishment is that wellness hotels take the necessary steps to shape up the inner and outer environment perfectly, but feedbacks and direct surveys of guests are missing in many cases. The competition is strong in the market of health tourism, if Hungary means to strengthen his position has pay more attention for implementation of quality practice.

With 450 questionnaires, the authors used SPSS software to analyze and found that the researched factors all had a positive impact on the development of community tourism services in Ha Giang province. In particular, the degree of influence on the development of CBT services in Ha Giang province in the order of importance is as follows: The level of organization and management of the tourism industry (QL), The participation of the community in the development of community tourism (TG), Tourism Resources (TN), Infrastructure Development (HT), Human Resource Training Development (NL). This result is the basis for us to choose appropriate solutions to improve the quality of community tourism services in Ha Giang province in the future.

Promotion of a tourism product and individual tourism services today is impossible without the use of modern marketing technologies. Their application is currently the key to the competitiveness of the tourism industry enterprises in the tourism services market. The article notes the penetration of various technological innovations in the activities of tourist enterprises, the development of information and communication technologies and the digitalization of marketing communications with the internal and external environment. The specifics of the formation of unique competitive advantages of the tourism industry enterprises is considered. Attention is focused on the need to demonstrate the main achievements, the uniqueness of the services provided on the website of the tourism industry enterprise. It is noted that the use of modern marketing technologies should not imply a rejection of classical methods of promotion. It is proposed to use an integrated approach that allows you to most effectively combine the provisions of classical marketing and the potential of modern technologies.

Experience from many countries shows that tourism contributes greatly to the economic growth that can improve the welfare and quality of citizens’ lives. To enhance the role of the tourism sector to improve the economy, increasing the competitiveness of this sector is the key. For Indonesia, which has great potential in the tourism sector, tourism development strategies are needed to improve the competitiveness of the tourism industry. The purpose of this study is to determine the position of competitiveness in Indonesia’s tourism sector, especially compared to some major ASEAN countries, and propose appropriate tourism development strategies. After mapping the condition of Indonesia’s tourism competitiveness compared to some other major ASEAN countries, this study uses STP (segmenting, targeting, and positioning) to find appropriate tourism development strategies. This research utilizes secondary data. The results show that compared to some other major ASEAN countries (Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand), Indonesia's tourism competitiveness in some aspects is low, although this condition has improved in recent years. However, given the demands of the dynamic tourism market, the competitiveness needs to be improved continuously. This necessitates special strategies, so that the efforts match with the target. Purpose – the main goal of tourism clusters is to attract more tourists to the region and improve the quality of regional tourism products. The aim of this paper is to verify whether the initiative of the Eastern Poland Tourism Brands Cluster has contributed to the development of tourism services and products offered by local firms. Research methodology – to achieve the goal, we described and evaluated cluster activities based on secondary sources of data and questionnaire interviews conducted with the representatives of entities involved in the cluster. We used the modified COO effect model to evaluate the services according to the following criteria: modernity, diversity, prestige and quality. We employed a 5-item Likert scale in our questionnaire. Findings – the results of the analysis showed that despite the increased recognition of tourist brands and products, the cluster did not survive. This experience shows that clusters operating in the tourism industry have less chance of survival than industrial clusters. Research limitations – main limitation of the research is the scarcity of source materials and a low number of surveys returned by cluster members. Personal meetings with respondents would add valuable information. Practical implications – the results of research can be used as an indication for the development and maintenance of tourist cluster initiatives on the market. In recent years, more and more studies focus on the development prospects of tourism clusters. Originality – until now, however, no study on cluster performance has employed the COO effect model or its derivatives, which makes our paper novel in this aspect.
