The article deals with the issues of legal training of masters in sports economics. Sport is an important component of the economy, which involves significant financial resources and a large number of workers. For a long time, sports, economics, and law were considered as three separate areas of activity. At the present stage, everything has changed dramatically: it has become possible to earn good money in sport, and as a result, sport needs well-trained, professional economists and lawyers. It is noted that the current Federal state educational standard of higher education (FSES) in the direction of 38.04.01 “Economics” (master's level) does not contain competencies that indicate the need for masters to obtain knowledge and skills in the field of law. And the issues of organizing and managing sports at various levels require parallel consideration of a whole complex of interrelated economic and legal components. A comparative analysis of the content of legal training programs for masters in sports economics in Russia and Germany is given.

The principles of development and methods for creating a zoogeographic map of Russia in the forthcoming edition of the Geographical atlas for secondary school teachers in accordance with a project supported by the Russian Geographical Society are highlighted in the article. Approaches to the design of the map (as well as the concept of the entire atlas) are based on the analysis of work programs that follow the Federal State Educational Standard. According to the requirements of these documents, pupils are to know the animal population of Russia, the animal world of the native land, the natural zones of the country, altitudinal zoning, and be able to give examples of the most indicative representatives of the natural zones, explain the species diversity of the animal world, know its taxonomy, and measures for protection. The guidelines for map design are proposed in accordance with these requirements and implemented in the author’s original image. The thematic content of the map is based on the scientific systematics of the animal world. It covers the fauna of land, seas and sea coasts, and freshwater reservoirs. The image of the continental fauna is linked with the conditions of its habitat – natural zones, their parts, geographic areas with the identification of endemic and animals listed in the Red Book of Russia. Selection of vertebrate animals includes classes of amphibians, cyclostomes, cartilaginous, bony fishes and a detachment of cetaceans. The author’s original is placed on two pages, of which map legend occupies a separate page in landscape format. It includes almost complete description of animals of all natural zones. The methodological and technological aspects of mapping are instantiated. The work has a significant novelty and greater informative capacity in comparison with similar publications and a purpose surpassing the educational application.

The article deals with the problem of developing the skill of semantic reading in the fourth-graders in the process of making annotations to works of art. The need to develop the skill of semantic reading is confirmed by the requirements of the federal state educational standard of primary general education. The question of the selection of methodological techniques, exercises, forms and means aimed at developing the semantic reading skills of younger schoolchildren remains relevant. The article analyzes the research of domestic scientists and individual teachers-practitioners on the formation of semantic reading skills and on teaching younger students to make annotations in primary school. The authors found that in these studies, there is no relationship between learning to annotate and the development of semantic reading skills. The purpose of the article is to determine the conditions for the development of semantic reading skills in fourth-graders in the process of writing annotations to works of art. To achieve this goal, a pedagogical study was conducted. As a result of the research, a step-by-step program for teaching children to make annotations to read works and a workbook “Learning to make annotations” were developed and experimentally tested. The theoretical significance of the study is to expand the known ideas about the development of the semantic reading skill of primary school students in the process of purposeful teaching them to compose annotations to works of art.

The article is devoted to the problem of education content that is significant for modern pedagogical theory. It is written using teaching English to postgraduate students at Saratov State Law Academy as an example. A foreign language for postgraduate students in higher education institutions has always been associated with the postgraduate students’ major in which they carried out scientific research. However, during the last decade, postgraduate studies have become the third level of higher education, and postgraduate students, who complete the course of study, receive a comprehensive qualification “Researcher. Teacher-researcher”. Therefore, the content of foreign language education should be expanded due to the need for postgraduate students to acquire knowledge, habits and professional communication skills not only in the field of legal specialization, but also in the sphere of pedagogical activity. At the same time, the presence of general legal terms and terminological systems belonging to various branches of law and expressing special systems of theoretical concepts suggests the need to include even more sections in the syllabi. All the three areas involve teaching a foreign language in the context of cross-cultural communication for mastering universal competencies specified in the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education in the direction of training 40.06.01 – Law (the level of training highly qualified specialists).
