Supervision is a process of assistance for teachers in developing their abilities which include knowledge, teaching skills and teacher commitment or motivation. So the purpose of supervision with regard to cognitive, psychomotor and affective aspects is to help improve and improve school management so that the best possible conditions for teaching and learning activities are achieved. Good supervision is supervision that is able to reflect the multi-purpose. Supervision is not successful if only pay attention to one particular goal by ruling out other goals. So it can be understood, that the goal of educational supervision is the improvement and development of the teaching and learning process in total, this means the goal of supervision is not only to improve the quality of teaching of teachers, but also fostering the growth of the teaching profession in a broad sense, including the procurement of facilities, leadership services and fostering good relations to all parties involved.

ABSTRACTThe quality of the performance teaching profession and the quality of learning affect the success of the teaching and learning process. Teacher honesty character will support the quality of teacher professional performance more effectively. Efforts to improve the ability to carry out the learning process require attention from the person in charge of the education system continuously, among others, through the functionalization of educational supervision. The implementation of educational supervision with standard technical strategies will be better if the function is more focused on developing the character of teacher honesty in learning. The job of a supervisor is to help, encourage, and give teachers confidence that the teaching-learning process can and must continue to be better. Supervision activities are carried out through various processes of teaching problem solving and aim to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the teaching-learning process. Supervision is a help to the teacher in improving the teaching-learning situation. Pelaksanaan supervisi pendidikan dengan strategi teknik yang sudah baku akan lebih baik bila fungsinya lebih fokus pada pengembangan karakter kejujuran guru dalam pembelajaran. Tugas seorang supervisor adalah untuk membantu, mendorong, dan memberikan keyakinan kepada guru bahwa proses belajar-mengajar dapat dan harus terus lebih baik. Kegiatan supervisi terlaksana melalui berbagai proses pemecahan masalah pengajaran dan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi proses belajar-mengajar. <p>This research was conducted for the purpose of getting a clear and complete <br />picture conserning the quality of teaching and learning process through eveloping and implementing jigsaw type cooparative learning model for subject of Thermodynamics. The quality of teaching and learning process can be viewed by positive response of university students towards thermodynamics subject using the implemented jigsaw type cooparative learning model. The subject of this research were students of high school class X, semester II in the academic year of 2011/2012, which were listed as learning tools needed for thermodynamics of jigsaw type cooparative learning model. The learning tool which were being developed consist of teaching materials, learning plan, and student worksheet. The research prosedure consisted of developing the tools of teaching and learning process, and the followed by realization of learning in class using the jigsaw type cooparative learning approach. The research instruments were to be observation sheet and student response questionaire towards the learning process. The reseach data were analyzed using percentage statistic. Based on the refection result towards the action which was planned beforehand and also the researh result discussion, it was found that the learning process of hermodynamics which was done by implementing the jigsaw type cooparative learning model can increase student activity in his study. Implementing the jigsaw type cooperative learning can increase the learning result of students. Most of the students who partisipated in the thermodynamics class agree and give a positive apreciation towards the implementation of cooperative learning model. They believe that with the learning group can help them overcoming the learning deterrent. </p><p> </p>

Abstractlearning process  good teaching  can create a situation that allows children to learn, so that is the starting point of the success of teaching. The low quality of education depends on the management of the teaching and learning process which can be interpreted as being less effective in the teaching and learning process, the causes: (1) Low learning activities, (2) Inadequate facilities and infrastructure. The case in Solok City Middle School, the low level of student learning activities allegedly influenced the low student learning outcomes. Based on observations on class VIII A which included the superior class had not yet achieved the desired completeness, the class with the least completeness was class VIII B which was 33.33% with KKM 65 criteria. Seeing this reality, teachers were required to motivate students and foster enthusiasm student learning. Therefore, to foster students' enthusiasm for learning, the author tries to apply student learning activities through discussion methods in small groups.Keywords: Learning, discussion AbstrakProses belajar mengajar yang baik dapat menciptakan situasi yang mmemungkinkan anak belajar, sehingga merupakan titik awal keberhasilan pengajaran. Rendahnya mutu pendidikan tergantung pada pengelolaan proses belajar mengajar yang dapat diartikan kurang efektifnya proses belajar mengajar, penyebabnya: (1) Rendahnya aktifitas belajar,  (2) Sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai. Kasus pada SMP Negeri % Kota Solok rendahnya aktifitas belajar siswa diduga berpengaruh terhadap rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan pengamatanpada  kelas VIII A yang termasuk kelas unggul belum mencapai ketuntasan yang di inginkan, sedangkan kelas yang paling sedikit ketuntasannya adalah kelas VIII B yaitu sebanyak 33,33 % dengan kriterian KKM 65. Melihat kenyataan tersebut, guru dituntut untuk dapat memotivasi siswa dan menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa. Karena itu, untuk menumbuhkan semangat belajar siswa, penulis mencoba untuk menerapkan aktivitas belajar siswa melalui metode diskusi dalam kelompok kecil. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran, diskusi

In the era of education information and globalization, a new mode of teaching and micro class has emerged in the background of the Internet, which brings new challenges and opportunities to the teaching of the classroom. MOOCs has been piloted and applied in many universities in the form of SPOC. As a new form of curriculum, micro course has been applied to the teaching and learning process. The integration of Moor and micro class resources helps to turn the classroom into a mixed mode. This article will focus on this hot topic to analyse the characteristics of the class, the characteristics of the micro class and the influence on the students and teachers, to improve the quality of teaching and to realize the individualized and active study of the students. The article summarizes the results of blended teaching mode at home and abroad, and explores the development and application of MOOC and micro class resources.

This research was designed in descriptive qualitative research to ensure there are triangulations data regarding Kahoot apps in English Language Teaching (ELT) context. The data was collected from several related literature on the application of Kahoot online application in English classrooms including online forum. The analysis of the study sees teaching English using media such as Kahoot is one effective strategy that makes students enjoy the teaching and learning process around the globe. Many studies have proven the effectiveness of using video as a learning medium for students, especially in EFL classes. Kahoot seems not only gives students pleasure to learn but also can make students more active and comfortable in the learning process. Therefore, taking a cue from many studies around the world underline the significant findings the teacher as a model must know how to deliver good material using Information system i.e., Kahoot online application. This study also would like to suggest before using this online application as a medium for teaching, teachers must have a step by step plan of what the teacher must do during teaching and learning to ensure the quality of teaching.

In general, the term learning is understood as the teacher's conscious effort to help students so that they can learn according to their interests and needs. The more aware and professional a teacher is in educating, the better the quality of students and vice versa. Another term that is combined with learning in this article is theory. In a general sense, the method is often associated with a set of concepts, ideas, and procedures that can be learned, analyzed, and verified. So, learning theory is a collection of thoughts, ideas, systems in which how to practice the learning process between teacher and student and other elements related to learning activities. Learning theory itself can be interpreted as a theory that contains procedures for how a teacher applies teaching and learning activities, which will later be used to students both inside and outside the classroom.

The Impact

This paper reviews some of the salient research into the complex issue of the impact of class size on the quality of teaching and learning. It describes the general attitude of the teaching profession towards class size and discusses some of the claims made regarding the influence of the variable on teaching and learning. Some evidence is presented to illustrate the nature of the profession's stand on the issue. It is acknowledged that the real impact of class size is much less clear than is implied by the normal assertions regarding its importance, and some of the important literature is examined to illustrate this point. From the discussion several suggestions emerge for desirable procedures in the further investigation of this area.

The purpose of this Workshop is to help teachers with regard to improving teaching and learning activities and school management and their implementation in the 2013 curriculum in Elementary Schools. Participants in this activity were elementary school teacher representatives in Limbangan Village, Sukaraja District, Sukabumi Regency and all KKN students in Limbangan Village, Sukaraja District, Sukabumi District. The workshop was conducted in 3 stages, namely the prefix stage, the core stage, and the final stage. The results obtained after the workshop were the commitment of teachers to implement MBS in the learning process with the 2013 curriculum in their respective schools. The difficulties experienced by teachers related to the development of learning evaluation in the 2013 curriculum. In this workshop, it was also found the fact that most teachers indirectly applied MBS in their respective schools.�Tujuan dari Lokakarya ini adalah membantu guru berkenaan dengan peningkatan kegiatan belajar mengajar dan manajemen sekolah serta implementasinya pada kurikulum 2013 di Sekolah Dasar. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini yaitu perwakilan guru SD/sederajat yang terdapat di Desa Limbangan Kecamatan Sukaraja, Kabupaten Sukabumi dan seluruh mahasiswa KKN di Desa Limbangan Kecamatan Sukaraja Kabupaten Sukabumi. Metode Lokakarya dilakukan dalam 3 tahap, yaitu tahap awalan, tahap inti, dan tahap akhir. Hasil yang didapat setelah pelaksanaan lokakarya adalah komitmen guru untuk mengimplementasikan MBS pada proses pembelajaran dengan kurikulum 2013 di sekolah masing-masing. Kesulitan yang dialami guru terkait pengembangan evaluasi pembelajaran di kurikulum 2013. Pada lokakarya ini juga ditemukannya fakta bahwa sebagian besar guru secara tidak langsung telah menerapkan MBS di Sekolah mereka masing-masing.
