This article is about teacher and staff revolution. Teachers are professions that play a very strategic role in implementing and realizing national education goals. The role of teachers is difficult to be replaced by others, placed in multicultural and multidimensional societies. Therefore, the guidance and development of professional teachers must always be a top priority and must be realized through activities that can develop teacher quality.

Teachers play a very strategic role in the framework of carrying out the functions and realize the goals of national education. The role of teachers can hardly be replaced by others, let alone in a multicultural and multidimensional society. Therefore, guidance and professional development of teachers should always be a top priority. This study aims to analyze educational policies related to the development and improvement of the teaching profession. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with the type of descriptive approach case study. The results of this study indicate that with the existence of an educational policy on the development and improvement of the teaching profession, the position of teachers increasingly shaded by legal sources and with the Professional Teacher Education, teachers become more knowledge and professionalism as a teacher.

Education plays an important role for the quality of human’s life. Education is a process of accommodating learners to develop their potential based on the talent and ability they have. Through this process, individuals will have a better personality, IQ, manner, religious belief. Indonesian language in an education setting supports the process of gaining knowledge because this is considered as a carrier of knowledge, a means of communicating ideas, thought, and feeling, and a means of increasing nationality among individuals whole over Indonesia. By having this, Indonesian language education policy is considered as a means of gaining national education goals. However, the role of stakeholders and society is undeniable. This article is a review on the existence and the role of teachers and education personnel for nonformal education. The role of teachers and education personnel is under supervision of The Directorate General of Quality Improvement for Teachers and Education Personnel, through regulation No.8 2005, issued by Minister National Education. This article adopts the strategic planning of Directorate of Teachers and Education Personnel as the main reference. Critical reviews on the existence of teachers and education personnel for nonformal is very scarce. This is the mjhor cause of why many people tend to think “learning is schooling”. As a results, the term “school teachers is more familiar to us than is nonformal education teachers. Though they function the same role as school teachers do. Even, they have to work harder . The article below discusses the development of functional education teachers, the organization and the strategic policies.

Abstrak Dalam proses belajar mengajar peran supervisi kepala madrasah memiliki peran strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, di mana para guru didalam melaksanakan tugasnya merupakan ujung tombak dalam mensukseskan tujuan pendidikan nasional. Di dalam pelaksanaan proses belaajar mengajar para guru seringkali mendapat kesulitan,dan kesulitan itu akan terjadi kemandegan dan kegagalan sekaligus berdampak pada mutu pendidikan, peran supervisi atau supervisor memiliki peran strategis dalam memberikan layanan terhadap guru yang mendapatkan kesulitan atau terjadi penurunan dalam kompetensinya. Tulisan ini berfokus pada kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam peningkatan kinerja. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Data-data yang sudah didapatkan kemudian dianalisa dengan menggunakan analisis data deskriptif. Kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam peningkatan kinerja guru menggunakan dua teknik yakni supervisi akademik berbasis pada individu dan kelompok. Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik teknik individu untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sirajul Ulum Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo yaitu menggunakan teknik orientasi bagi guru baru, classroom observation dan individual converence, sedangkan pelaksanaan supervisi akademik teknik kelompok untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo yaitu menggunakan teknik rapat dewan guru, workshop/ lokakarya, bacaan terpimpin, buletin board dan karyawisata. Kata Kunci: kepala madrasah, supervisi akademik, kinerja guru, madrasah ibtidaiyah   Abstract In the teaching and learning process, the supervisory role of madrasah headmaster comprises a strategic role in improving educational quality, while the teachers in doing their tasks are seen as the lead in the efforts of achieving national education goals. In the implementation of teaching and learning process, most of the time teachers experience difficulties in which it causes stagnation and failure in improving as well as directly affecting the quality of the education itself. The role of supervision, or supervisor, possess a strategic role in providing services to teachers who experience difficulties or those who suffer declining competence. This paper focuses on the performance improvement of the leadership of the headmaster at madrasah. This paper used qualitative research methods. The data that has been obtained is analyzed by using descriptive data analysis. The leadership of Head master at Madrasah in improving teacher’s performance is done by using academic supervision techniques based on individuals and groups. The implementation of academic supervision technique within individual in improving teacher’s performance at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Primary School) Sirajul Ulum Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo is carried out by using orientation techniques for new teachers, classroom observations and individual conversions. Meanwhile, the implementation of academic supervision techniques within groups in improving teacher’s performance in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sirajul Ulum Jatiurip Krejengan Probolinggo is carried out by using teacher council meetings technique, workshops, guided reading, bulletin boards and field trips. The lack of the role of the school committee in education makes it a school partner to improve its management. Because it is clear in Law number 20 of 2003 concerning National Education System article 56 paragraph 3 that the school council approves in improving the quality of assistance by providing, directives and support for labor, facilities and infrastructure, and supervision of education at the education level. This paper is a literature study that uses documents related to schools and education suppliers as sources of data and analyzed using qualitative descriptive. Reconstruction of the management of the committee through improvements to the planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the work program of the school committee and education unit. In addition, training and guidance for school committees also requires building good communication and cooperation between the school committee, the government and other parties. That way it is expected to increase the strategic role of schools in improving the quality of education.

This paper examines the strategic role of religious education in the national education system. In accordance with the mandate of UU Sisdiknas no 20/2003 that religious education is part of national education. Moreover, the issue of character education is getting stronger, increasingly placing religious education, in this case Islamic Education (IE) as the spearhead in guarding the implementation of character education. By using literature study, the results of this study were obtained, that the implementation of IE needs to be improved in order to produce students with character. Some obstacles in the implementation of Islamic religious education, making the PAI has not been able to produce students of character as much as expected by all parties. There are two dominant causes in the implementation of IE that are less than the maximum. First, IE puts more emphasis on the mastery of texts contained in textbooks and outer cognitive only (cognitive domain), whereas the substance of the cultivation of religious values just disappears as the cognitive knowledge accumulates. Second, the doctrinal learning process must be accepted, without growing the students' critical reason.

In this article discusses the continuation of the administration of facilities and infrastructure where this time discussing about financial administration. In a financial administration educational institution, it is very important to play the role of financial administration which is truly in accordance with the needs of the school. In this article discusses the notion of financial administration, financial administration processes, examinations and reporting and the role of teachers in school financial administration. According to the Ministry of National Education (2000) that financial management is an act of financial administration / administration which includes recording, planning, implementation, accountability and reporting. Thus, school financial management can be interpreted as a series of activities regulating school finance ranging from planning, accounting, spending, supervision and accountability of school finance. Education funding should be done efficiently.

<p>This paper attempts to examine the important role of social capital in the meninges-forces madrasah education quality. Madrasah as national education subsystem has a heavy burden in carrying out the mandate of the law. The biggest problem is the activity of improving the quality of education that is determined by the achievement of the ultimate goal of education effectively and more efficiently. That goal is the realization of academic ability, moral and social. Structure and values of the communities around it is actually a social capital that should be used by the madrassa to improve the quality of education. Social capital is a means of achieving national education goals. </p><p><br /><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p>Tulisan ini mencoba mengkaji peran penting modal sosial dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan madrasah. Madrasah sebagai subsistem pendidikan nasional memiliki beban yang berat dalam mengemban amanat undang-undang. Problem terbesar adalah kegiatan meningkatkan mutu pendidikan yang ditentukan oleh ketercapaian tujuan akhir pendidikan secara efektif dan lebih efisien. Tujuan itu adalah terwujudnya kemampuan akademik, moral dan sosial. Struktur dan nilainilai yang dimiliki masyarakat sekitar sebenarnya merupakan modal sosial yang seharusnya dimanfaatkan oleh madrasah untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikannya. Modal sosial ini menjadi sarana mencapai tujuan pendidikan nasional. </p>

Indonesia has the potential for disaster is high, so the intensity and effects gets serious attention from the government. Efforts mitigasipun done by involving many parties, including schools. Submission you information about the disaster and its mitigation is considered very effective if done through the school. However, the uncertainty of disaster mitigation in the curriculum become a problem for the schools, especially schools located in disaster-prone areas. In connection with that, to overcome the problem, the role of teachers of geography are considered to have a strategic role in integrating disaster by learning geography lesson, without disturbing the existing school curriculum. This condition requires creativity in teaching geography teacher. Creativity can be done in four simple steps: 1) preparing the material matrix of geography and disasters, 2) determine the learning model, 3) determine the strategies and methods of learning, and, 4) develop a draft implementation of learning. With these four steps, learning a disaster can integrate with a geography lesson to be implemented in a geography lesson at school. Keywords: Disaster-prone areas, the creativity of teachers, teaching geography
