This study aims to obtain information about the role of Management Information Systems in improving company performance. The method used in this research is literature study method by collecting literature (reading material / material) sourced from books, journals, and other sources related to the knowledge of Management Information Systems and using qualitative data. Qualitative data is data obtained during observations. The technique used is the technique of giving tasks and making observations through the development and the extent to which the approach is applied. Management Information Systems are built in order to improve company performance. While the company's performance is determined by how well business processes are designed, managed, and coordinated or managed. In other words, business processes are a source of company success, while Management Information Systems are management tools for improving business processes.

The purpose of this study was to obtain information and knowledge about the role of Management Information Systems in improving company performance. This research uses the literature study method by collecting sources / literature (reading materials / materials) derived from journals, books, and other sources related to the knowledge of Management Information Systems. Management Information System is implemented with the aim of improving company performance. While the company's performance is determined by how well the processes in the company are well designed, managed, and coordinated or managed. this means that the company's processes are the source of the company's success, while the Management Information System is a management tool to improve the company's processes.

Este artigo teve por objetivo descrever usos e aplicações de três ferramentas de gestão presentes no ambiente empresarial contemporâneo: a Tecnologia da Informação (TI), os Sistemas de Informações Gerenciais (SIG) e a Gestão do Conhecimento (GC). Foi realizada revisão narrativa de literatura. Verificou-se que o fluxo de informações funciona como o elemento unificador entre TI, SIG e a GC. Ao possibilitarem o uso adequado de informações e de pessoas com vistas ao alcance dos objetivos organizacionais, fomentam a criação de vantagens competitivas. Identificou-se, então, que a introdução dessas ferramentas, ao alterar processos internos e externos, contribui para o desenvolvimento das organizações.Palavras-Chave: Tecnologia da Informação. Vantagem Competitiva. Abstract: This article aims to describe uses and applications of three management tools present in the contemporary business environment: Information Technology (IT), Information Systems Management (ISM) and Knowledge Management (KM). A narrative review of the literature was performed. It was verified that the information flow works as the unifying element between IT, ISM and KM. By enabling the proper use of information and people to achieve the organizational objectives, they promote the creation of competitive advantages. It was identified, then, that the introduction of these tools, by altering internal and external processes, contributes to the development of organizations.Keywords: Information Technology. KAJIAN KETERCAPAIAN STANDAR PENGELOLAAN DI SD SE KECAMATAN DEPOK SLEMAN  Sugiyono, Lantip Diat Prasojo, dan Nurtanio Agus Purwanto PPS Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta Email: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]  ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui (1) seberapa besar pencapaian standar pengelolaan SD di Kecamatan Depok Kabupaten Sleman, (2) faktor-faktor apa yang menjadi penghambat dan pendukung dalam ketercapaian standar pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei untuk menggali data baik secara kualitatif maupun kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 9 SD di Kecamatan Depok yang diambil secara purposive sampling, dengan mempertimbangkan SD klister 1, klister 2, dan klister 3. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik FGD, angket, dokumen, observasi, dan wawancara. Validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen angket menggunakan validasi ahli. Keabsahan data kualitatif divalidasi dengan model informan review, dan triangulasi data. Analisis data kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dan data kualitatif dengan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian setiap indikator pada standar pengelolaan untuk Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Kecamatan Depok Kabupaten Sleman tingkat pencapaian yang tertinggi adalah pada indikator pengawasan dan evaluasi (90.5%), dan yang terendah adalah  indikator Sistem Informasi Manajemen Sekolah (73.0%) dan Kepemimpinan Sekolah (76.9%). Hambatan dan usaha yang dialami sekolah dalam pencapaian Standar pengelolaan pendidikan antara lain belum adanya model standar pengelolaan, petugas pengelolaan yang sesuai dengan keahliannya belum memadai, belum mampu mengelola sistem informasi manajemen yang memadai untuk mendukung administrasi pendidikan, visi, misi, tujuan dan rencana kerja yang sesuai. Usaha yang dilakukan berkoordinasi dengan stakholder khususnya sekolah untuk membuat model pengelolaan sesuai sekolah masing-masing, mensinkronkan antara visi,misi, dan kerja sekolah, merekrut petugas pengelolaan  yang mampu mengelola sistem informasi manajemen untuk mendukung kegiatan pendidikan yang lebih adaptif terhadap dinamika pendidikan. Kata kunci: kajian, standar nasional, pengelolaan STUDY OF ACHIEVEMENT OF MANAGEMENT STANDARDS IN SD DISTRICT OF DEPOK SLEMAN ABSTRACT            The purpose of this study is to find out (1) how much the achievement of the standard management of elementary school in Depok Regency Sleman District, (2) what factors are the obstacles and supporters in achieving the standards of educators and education personnel. This research uses survey methods to explore data both qualitatively and quantitatively. The sample in this study were 9 elementary schools in Depok Subdistrict which were taken by purposive sampling, taking into account the elementary clister 1, clister 2, and clister 3. The data collection techniques used FGD techniques, questionnaires, documents, observations, and interviews. Validity and reliability of the questionnaire instrument using expert validation. The validity of the qualitative data is validated with the informant review model, and data triangulation. Quantitative data analysis with descriptive analysis techniques and qualitative data with interactive analysis models. The results showed that the achievement of each indicator in the management standard for Primary Schools (SD) in Depok District of Sleman Regency the highest level of achievement was the indicator of supervision and evaluation (90.5%), and the lowest was the indicator of School Management Information System (73.0%) and School Leadership (76.9%). Obstacles and efforts experienced by schools in achieving education management standards include the lack of a standard management model, management officers who are in accordance with their expertise are inadequate, unable to manage adequate management information systems to support education administration, vision, mission, goals and work plans that are corresponding. Efforts are made to coordinate with stakholders especially schools to create management models according to their respective schools, synchronize the vision, mission and work of schools, recruit management officers who are able to manage management information systems to support educational activities that are more adaptive to the dynamics of education. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of learning information systems. The method used is the literature study method, namely by collecting material, data and information from books, journals and articles relating to the issues discussed. The results of the study, with a good SIM, developers with the implementation of computer-based SIM learning activities can be completed quickly and precisely in order to achieve organizational goals. This is due to the fact that computer-based management information systems have advantages in managing information, namely speed, quantity, repetitive, complexity, high accuracy, and other advantages so that it can support the development of an organization, Conclusions, management information systems can support the development of learning. Purpose: The purpose is to evaluate the impact of the use of Management Information Systems (MIS) in the management of small companies in the field of rural activity. Methodology: In this study, questionnaires were applied to rural producers using the conventional accounting system, obtaining 37 responses. In addition, 7 interviews were conducted with rural producers who started to use MIS to control their activities. Results: Using the analysis of differences between respondents who use MIS or not, it was possible to identify which points are linked to its implementation, in addition to assessing the benefits obtained from the system used. The results indicate that the use of MIS reflected positively in management, especially with regard to cost and culture control, forecasting needs, increased profit and assistance in decision making. Contributions of the Study: The findings of the study clarify the practical implications of using MIS in rural properties, such as receptivity to the use of the system and, mainly, which advantages with use are most indicated by respondents from properties that already use it. In this sense, we claim accounting entrepreneurs to instigate the use of management tools by rural producers who do not yet use it, but consider the use of MIS as beneficial.

A multitude of heterogeneous data must be converted to environmental-conscious information and kept ready by Corporate Environmental Management Information Systems (CEMIS) to support environmental protection, sustainability, and energy efficiency within companies. Since these systems are currently not applying strategic information and decision support, contemporary systems do not cope with requirements from the sustainability discussion. Early identification of cause-and-effect-relationships is vitally important to be able to anticipate environmental impacts of decisions and, thus, to intervene in time. Otherwise the potential for acting precautious would remain unemployed. A resource-friendly design of business processes and their energy- and material-efficient control additionally demands for sustainability-oriented organizational structures as well as incentives for all stakeholders involved. The authors strive for developing a new generation of CEMIS that copes with strategic sustainability aspects. They present the results from a survey that prioritizes the requirements the authors have gained from former inquiries, workshops and expert interviews. As a direct result of the survey, first implications for architectural concepts are presented.

Abstract. Digitalization, enhanced storage capacities, and the Internet of Things increase the volume of data in modern organizations. To process and make use of these data and to avoid information overload, management information systems (MIS) are introduced that collect, process, and analyze relevant data. However, a precondition for the application of MIS is that users trust them. Extending accounts of trust in automation and trust in technology, we introduce a new model of trust in MIS that addresses the conceptual ambiguities of existing conceptualizations of trust and integrates initial empirical work in this field. In doing so, we differentiate between perceived trustworthiness of an MIS, experienced trust in an MIS, intentions to use an MIS, and actual use of an MIS. Moreover, we consider users’ perceived risks and contextual factors (e. g., autonomy at work) as moderators. The introduced model offers guidelines for future research and initial suggestions to foster trust-based MIS use.
