The mass media bring news about the various issues that arise in the community, including those related to communication styles of President Jokowi in communicating policies. The last case, in which ministers make "political noise" that attacked each other in front of the public, many people questioned about coordination between Jokowi and his officials. Furthermore, researchers set problems taken in the study, 1) How is the characteristic of Jokowi’s communication style in communicating policies 2) How is the communication competencies possessed by Jokowi?. Research using qualitative research methods with a macrostruktural discourse analysis approach. The population are news about communications by President Jokowi, where the medium used is the online media. Online media selected in sampling are News.detik.com and Kompas.com which is the most popular news providers (version ALEXA per February 18, 2015). The results showed that the characteristic of Jokowi’s communication style in communicating policies in general is controlling style, although in some situations also use communication styles in accordance with existing conditions. Based on an analysis of the communication’s Jokowi in communicating policies, Jokowi’s communication competence covering aspects of commitment and confidence, empathy, flexibility, senstivity of consequences, and proficiency.

The press is an organization for disseminating information through mass media, the more information received, the greater the responsibility required. In carrying out its functions, rights, obligations and role, the press is demanded to be open to the public about a news that is raised. To carry out good journalistic activities requires a journalistic code of ethics. The code of ethics established by the Press Council is a basic guideline / reference in carrying out journalistic activities. This regulation makes the direction for the press to continue in accordance with the rules, even though accessing news now is not only through the mass media such as television. Television is part of the mainstream media, despite the convergence of media, the audience still believes that journalistic news on television can be trusted with the truth and credibility of the news content. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods to analyze in detail the problems that are formulated. The purpose of this research is to find out how the application of the code of ethics in the production of television news on GTV. Because the code of ethics is a basic reference in carrying out journalism activities, the purpose of journalism is the correctness of the information that will be received by the public.Pers merupakan alat penyebar informasi melalui media massa, semakin banyak informasi yang diterima maka semakin besar tanggung jawab yang dibutuhkan. Dalam melaksanakan fungsi, hak, kewajiban, dan peranannya pers dituntut harus terbuka kepada masyarakat terhadap sebuah berita yang diangkat. Untuk menjalankan kegiatan jurnalistik yang baik dibutuhkan adanya kode etik jurnalistik. Kode etik yang telah ditetapkan oleh Dewan Pers merupakan pedoman/acuan dasar dalam menjalani kegiatan jurnalistik.  Peraturan inilah yang menjadikan arah agar pers tetap berjalan sesuai dengan aturan, meskipun mengakses berita kini tidak hanya melalui media massa seperti televisi. Televisi merupakan bagian dari media mainstream, meskipun adanya konvergensi media namun khalayak tetap memandang bahwa berita jurnalistik di televisi dapat dipercaya kebenaran serta kredibilitas isi berita tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif untuk menganalisis dengan rinci masalah-masalah yang dirumuskan. Tujuan dari adanya penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan kode etik dalam produksi berita televisi di GTV. Karena kode etik merupakan acuan dasar dalam melaksanakan kegiatan jurnalisme, tujuan dari adanya jurnalisme adalah kebenaran dari sebuah informasi yang akan diterima oleh masyarakat.

<p>As a mass media, Film seldom unrecognized as a media disseminator for messages and discourse. This condition is used by filmmakers and some interested parties as “arena” to disseminate or conduct hegemony to the public. Film General Soedirman is one example of a film that we can felt the hegemony agenda. As a historical film, the film try to build its story or narrative centrally on the figure of the Great Commander General Soedirman. Interestingly, the protrusion of General Soedirman figure is felt too much. On the contrary, the civil politicians are discribed ugly. This led to controversy and debate that is quite exciting in the national media. There is a suspicion of a large discourse, that is being rolled out by the filmmakers for the sake of a certain position within the larger narrative of the republic.<br />This article is a report of qualitative research and use critical discourse analysis of Van Dijk. The research try to dismantle the structure of the text, either micro, macro, and it‟s superstructure, thus unfolding discourse developed through the production of this film.<br />Keywords: Critical Discourse, Text Structure, and Hegemony</p>

Detik.com and tempo.co are online media that provide information on the latest news, one of which is news about alleged insulting the Prophet in Gus Muwafiq's lecture. This study aims to find out how the insulting discourse of the Prophet is packaged in the news about the controversy of Gus Muwafiq's lectures on detik.com and tempo.co by using Norman Fairclough's discourse analysis to analyze texts, practices of text production and social and cultural practices. In this article examines online media news at detik.com and tempo.co in the December 2019 edition with qualitative use. Qualitative research which is a research methodology that focuses on processes and events interactively that focuses on general principles underlying the realization of a meaning of social phenomena in society using a critical paradigm. The results showed that detik.com and tempo.co had deconstructed about insulting the Prophet in the case of Gus Muwafiq's controversy among Muslims. The language used in news texts is packaged in a light, concise and easily understood way by the public.   Detik.com dan tempo.co merupakan media online yang memberikan informasi mengenai berita terkini, salah satunya berita mengenai dugaan menghina Nabi pada ceramah Gus Muwafiq. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana wacana menghina Nabi dikemas dalam pemberitaan tentang kontroversi ceramah Gus Muwafiq pada detik.com dan tempo.co dengan menggunakan analisis wacana Norman Fairclough untuk menganilisis teks, praktik produksi teks dan praktif sosial budaya. Dalam artikel ini meneliti berita media online di detik.com dan tempo.co edisi bulan Desember 2019 degan menggunakan kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif sebagai metodologi penelitian yang fokus pada proses dan peristiwa secara interaktif yang memusatkan perhatian pada prinsip-prinsip umum yang mendasari perwujudan sebuah makna dari gejala-gejala sosial di dalam masyarakat menggunakan paradigma kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa detik.com dan tempo.co telah melakukan dekonstruksi tentang menghina Nabi dalam kasus kontroversi ceramah Gus Muwafiq di kalangan muslimin. Bahasa yang digunakan dalam teks berita di kemas secara ringan, singkat dan mudah dipahamai oleh khalayak.

The number of complaints and complaints from the public on government services, both directly and indirectly, or through the mass media, such as complaints about convoluted service procedures, lack of certainty in the period of settlement, the amount of costs to be incurred, the absence of requirements transparency, and the attitude of officers or employees who are less responsive is a program faced in public services. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the application of responsibility and transparency in the Bengkulu Province Regional Financial Management Agency To obtain answers to the research problems, researchers used qualitative research methods. From the results of the study it was found that Transparency in the Office of the Regional Financial Management Agency of Bengkulu Province has implemented the principle of transparency to assist in the provision of services to the public that is helping to facilitate payments. The application of the principle of responsibility in the Office of the Regional Financial Management Agency of Bengkulu Province can be seen from the extent of the implementation of the activities of the Office of the Regional Financial Management Agency of Bengkulu Province in carrying out its duties and responsibilities to the community, for example with the satisfaction of service to the community, the constraints obtained in this responsibility, namely the service given is not satisfactory for the community because it has not yet completed the office facilities of the Bengkulu Province Regional Financial Management Office in accordance with applicable principles.  Keywords: responsibilitas, transparansi, layanan publik

This study examined the influences of perceived distance to communicator on the effects of aggressive style (i.e. personal attacks and intense languages) in communicating scientific issues such as COVID-19 to the public. With a multi-site experiment ( N = 464), we found that aggression led to a heightened violation of expected social norm regarding communication styles. However, the interpretation of violation varied depending on the individual’s perceived distance to the communicator. Close distance articulated the urgency and severity of COVID-19 risks conveyed with aggression, which further increased compliance with the message. Far distance perception amplified aggression’s negative influence on writer likeability. The findings showed that aggressive communication may generate positive outcomes when dealing with public understanding of scientific issues such as COVID-19, but communicators need to build a closer connection with their audience.

Mass media workers have a good ability to convey ideas to be enjoyed by a wide and heterogeneous audience. Their talents and interests are not arbitrary. They have taken special education in college and graduated with a related bachelor's degree. However, their intellectual abilities are not accompanied by the ability to appreciate and reward themselves, which should deserve a decent income or a comfortable working environment. In the name of capitalism which was finally realized in the form of alienation, they carried out the work with great pride even though it was apparent. This study uses qualitative research methods by collecting data through interviews of one of the televisions workers. Based on the research results, it is clearly illustrated how the mass media workers consider that completely devoting themselves to companies that have provided opportunities and income is something that is worth doing. Moreover, there is special pride when they are able to contribute in providing education and information to the wider community. (Title: The Evaluation of Trump’s Political Perspectives at The  “Save America Rally”). This paper explores Trump speech in online media CBC news entitled “Live Coverage: Protesters Swarm Capitol, Abruptly Halting Electoral Vote Count” in the point of view of discourse analysis. This research belongs to qualitative research. The method used to analyze is distributional and referential method. It analyzed Trump ideology’s Perspectives through structure manifested by Emotive words, phrases, sentences from his speech, specifically it explored from critical discourse analysis conducted by Teun A .Van Dijk.  It resulted and indicated that Trump conveyed his political will by protesting the result of the ballots. He said there was fraud in the middle of the election. ABSTRACT Taxation principles were applied as early as 4000 BC in Sumer. The formulation of recognized taxation principles commenced formally with Adam Smith in 1776. He called them the four maxims of taxation. The principles formulated by Smith were grounded in his observations and personal experiences of the world. After Smith, several individuals, committees, and reviews added their ideas to the principles of taxation. The question discussed in this paper is whether these principles formulated through the years are scientifically grounded. In order to ground the principles scientifically, three qualitative research methods were conducted. Method 1 is a thematic analysis of taxation history. Method 2 applies a qualitative research design called an Interactive Qualitative Analysis. Finally, Method 3 uses a single question in writing, sent to taxation experts from various countries. The question asked in Methods 2 and 3 is: What are the fundamental principles of taxation that are essential to taxation internationally as a discipline? The findings of the three research methods were triangulated in order to propose a set of six fundamental principles of taxation. The six proposed principles are: efficient and effective administration and communication; certain, neutral, understandable legislation; equity influencing different levels of society; taxpayers' duty to contribute to society versus the government's duty to strike a balance between taking too little and taking too much; benefits to the public through taxation; and change unwanted social behavior. The development of online media is now a powerful weapon to help promote. It is the sophistication of various online media features that are utilized by independent property agents to be able to compete with other agents and carry out the best promotional strategies. This study aims to find out an overview of the promotional strategies used by independent property agents on online media. This study uses qualitative research methods with the type of analysis research. The results showed that the two subjects had online media accounts each with different advertising characteristics, but from several online media used according to the most effective subject in property promotion was using rumah123.com and then OLX.Keywords:Promotion Strategy, Independent Property Agent, and Online Media
