in an effort to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, supervision is needed to improve the quality of teacher professionalism, this is because the quality of learning in Indonesia has not been maximized. With the supervision of education is expected to improve the quality of education personnel and student achievement. This quality improvement should be done continuously in accordance with the development of science and technology in accordance with the times. By making continuous improvements, it can be seen that the quality development gradually, these quality improvement activities can be done by groups or individuals.

This research aims to determine the role of the head of Madrasah in improving the quality of education in MTs Negeri 4 Kulon Progo, and to help improve the competency of teachers in the learning activities with a real, measurable, controlled, directional program to achieve learning objectives. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are: 1) supervision of the head of the district of the state of the principal of the school 4 Kulon Progo includes education, managerial, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, and motivator; 2) The role of quality improvement is done by increasing the professionalism of teachers by giving opportunities to teachers; 3) Factors affecting the implementation of the head of the Madrasah include: the planning, implementation and follow-up that is carried out continuously to the teachers and education personnel.

<p>The development of learning and learning patterns is directed to the four pillars as a whole, learning to know, learn to do, learn to be true, and learn to live together. These four pillars in the 21st century should be developed in an integrative way to be able to issue a refused out put. Learning and learning transformation in an effort to improve the quality and quality of education should continue to be pursued as a consequence of the demands of learning in accordance with the development of science and technology, learning styles, the development of learning and learning theories, and the needs and trends that occur in society as part of the development of the times. The transformation of learning and learning is intended to provide a passive atmosphere, character and learning patterns, depending on a single source, minimal and simplified facilities, uniform learning styles and not empowering learners. Furthermore, it should be developed into patterns and attitudes of learning that develop the integrity of learners actively, productively, and proactively.</p><p> </p><p>Pengembangan pola belajar dan pembelajaran diarahkan pada empat pilar secara utuh yaitu, belajar untuk mengetahui, belajar untuk berbuat, belajar untuk menjadi jati diri, dan belajar untuk hidup bersama. Keempat pilar ini pada abad 21 harus dikembangkan secara integratif agar mampu mengeluarkan out put yang refresentatif. Tranformasi belajar dan pembelajaran dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas dan mutu pendidikan harus terus diupayakan sebagai konsekuensi dari tuntutan belajar yang sesuai dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, gaya belajar, perkembangan teori belajar dan pembelajaran, serta kebutuhan dan kecenderungan yang terjadi di masyarakat sebagai bagian perkembangan zaman. Transformasi belajar dan pembelajaran dimaksudkan untuk memberikan suasana, watak, dan pola-pola belajar yang pasif, tergantung dari satu sumber, fasilitas yang minim dan seadanya, gaya belajar yang seragam serta tidak memberdayakan peserta didik. Selanjutnya perlu dikembangkan menjadi pola dan sikap belajar yang mengembangkan keutuhan peserta didik secara aktif, produktif, dan proaktif.</p>

Improvement of the national education system is needed so that the quality of education increases one of the efforts to improve the quality of education is by increasing teacher professionalism. Increased professionalism of teachers is characterized by an increase in competencies that must be possessed by teachers, namely pedagogical competencies related to management of students, social competencies related to communication skills, personal competencies related to the ability of teachers to have wise personalities, and professional competencies related to ability teacher to master knowledge and improve the quality of learning. One way that can be taken in improving the quality of learning is to carry out classroom action research. Class action research is a research activity to solve learning problems. By conducting classroom action research, teachers are able to improve the learning process through a study of what is happening in their classrooms. The purpose of this training is to find out how far the teacher's knowledge and practices are about Classroom Action Research. The methods that will be used to provide this training include: lectures, questions and answers, discussions, assignments, individual guidance, and independent training in the form of projects. From the results of the overall evaluation of the implementation of the Classroom Action Research training at SD Nurul, Sidoarjo Wisdom was fairly successful, it was seen from the implementation indicators and the results obtained from this training with fairly good values.

Artikel ini bertujuan memberikan analisis deskriptif mengenai manajemen sumber daya manusia di MTs Persis 3 Pameungpeuk. Artikel ini akan menganalisis manajemen sumber daya manusia di MTs Persis 3 Pameungpeuk menggunakan perspektif Pendidikan secara epistemologis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa manajemen sumber daya manusia menempati posisi yang cukup sentral dalam perkembangan mutu Pendidikan di MTs Persis 3 Pameungpeuk. Implementasi manajemen sumber daya manusia tersebut terdiri dari proses rekrutmen, orientasi, penempatan, dan pengembangan guru dan tenaga Pendidikan. Hal tersebut dilakukan sebagai respon terhadap tuntutan zaman dan kebutuhan masyratakat terhadap standar lulusan dari MTs Persis 3 Pameungpeuk. This article aims to provide a descriptive analysis of human resource management at MTs Persis 3 Pameungpeuk. This article will analyze human resource management at MTs Persis 3 Pameungpeuk using an epistemological perspective of education. The results of this study indicate that human resource management occupies a fairly central position in the development of the quality of education at MTs Persis 3 Pameungpeuk. The implementation of human resource management consists of a process of recruitment, orientation, placement and development of teachers and education personnel. This was done in response to the demands of the times and the needs of the community for the standard of graduates from MTs Persis 3 Pameungpeuk.

A process of education and learning requires an expert who is usually called an educator or teacher. Teachers or educators are not only obliged to transform science but also guide the development of students' morals and spirituality. Teachers must have a competency because competence is a combination of knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes reflected in the habit of thinking and acting. Therefore this study aims to determine the challenges of teachers to improve the quality of Islamic religious education (Pendidikan Agama Islam: PAI) in this millennial era. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive types and with case studies of data collection. The challenges of education in the millennium era faced by teachers in the form of Digital Literacy, Teachers as lifelong learners, Presenting Exciting and Meaningful Learning, Teachers must be exemplary, because the change in students in the millennial era teachers must see this challenge as positive with always make innovations and skills in learning that are in accordance with the demands of the times. criteria for professional PAI teachers, their professionalism is not only oriented to the material but also directed at spiritual orientation. Because professional PAI teachers are expected to be able to drive the progress of the people, especially in this millennial era. Based on the challenges faced by millennial teachers, PAI teacher professionalism is needed to help improve the quality of education.

The strategy adopted by the principal is the most decisive factor in the success of quality improvement at SDN 066043, Medan Helvetia District, Medan. The purpose of this study is to describe the principal's strategy of planning, implementing, monitoring and constraining. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques used are Observation, Interview and Documentation Study. The research subjects were the Committee, Principal, Teachers and Students. The results showed: 1) Principal's strategy in planning to improve the quality of learning is to invite all school members and cooperate with committees, teachers and the community in order to improve the quality of education in schools 2) Principal's strategy in implementing improving the quality of learning is that teachers who Caring for all fields of study is already a professional path. 3) The principal's strategy in controlling quality improvement is that supervision is carried out in every aspect that is considered related to improving the quality of learning in schools. 4) The principal's strategy in terms of quality improvement barriers are: principals find it difficult to allocate time in improving the quality of learning in schools, then cannot control all activities to improve the quality of learning in schools.

: The way in improving the quality of education institution or a school is determined by the headmaster leadership in an effective management. The progress of school retreat is inseparable from the role of the principal, because the principal acts as a central force which is the driving force of school life. In order for schools to be able to compete, the principal must be committed to change by carrying out his role as the principal. The totality of the role of the principal must have a vision of the future and be able to actualize all existing potential into a synergistic force in order to achieve educational goals. The research objective is to describe the role of the principal in improving the quality of education in SDIT Muhammadiyah Jumapolo Karanganyar 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is in the form of field research with qualitative descriptive analysis, and uses a sociological approach. Methods of collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that, First, the role of principals in improving the quality of education in SDIT Muhmamadiyah Jumapolo is realized by: 1) Increasing teacher professionalism, 2) Improving the quality of learning, 3) Improving facilities and infrastructure, 4) Increasing student learning motivation. Second, the principal's strategy in improving the quality of education at SDIT Muhmamadiyah Jumapolo is done by: 1) Increasing teacher professionalism carried out with the OJT period (On Job Training) for new teachers and self-development for old teachers and intensive motivational development, 2) Improving the quality of learning done by integrating four curricula (DIKNAS, KEMENAG, PONPES GONTOR and ISMUBA) with a variety of learning methods approach 3) Improvement of facilities and infrastructure carried out by optimizing the utilization of existing SARPRAS and procurement of SARPRAS needed, 4) Increasing motivation for student learning by giving reward and punishman, giving praise and competition.The key word: visionary leadership, headmaster, quality of education. Third, the obstacles and solutions to the role of principals in improving the quality of education at SDIT Muhmamadiyah Jumapolo include: 1) Increasing teacher professionalism such as teacher recruitment that is not suitable for qualifications. The solution is to participate in self-development activities and re-study or further study, 2) Improving the quality of learning such as school status that is not ful day school. The solution is by organizing material and reducing material in the gontor curriculum, 3) Improving facilities and infrastructure such as funding problems. The solution is cooperation with student guardians and donors, 4) Increased learning motivation of students such as children lacking assistance at home. The solution is intense collaboration and communication between the teacher and parents of children through via cell phones, contact books and home visits.Abstrak: Upaya memperbaiki kualitas dalam suatu lembaga pendidikan atau sekolah sangat ditentukan oleh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam manajemen yang efektif. Maju mundurnya sekolah tidak terlepas dari peran kepala sekolah, karena kepala sekolah berperan sebagai kekuatan sentral yang menjadi kekuatan penggerak kehidupan sekolah. Agar sekolah mampu bersaing, kepala sekolah harus memiliki komitmen dalam perubahan dengan menjalankan perannya sebagai kepala sekolah. Totalitas peran kepala sekolah harus mempunyai visi masa depan serta mampu mengaktualisasikan seluruh potensi yang ada menjadi sesuatu kekuatan yang bersinergi guna mencapai tujuan pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendiskripsikan peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SDIT Muhammadiyah Jumapolo Karanganyar tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini berupa penelitian lapangan dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif, dan memakai pendekatan sosiologis. Metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, Pertama, peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SDIT Muhmamadiyah Jumapolo diwujudkan dengan: 1)Peningkatan profesionalisme guru, 2)Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, 3)Peningkatan sarana dan prasarana, 4)Peningkatan motifasi belajar siswa. Kedua, strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SDIT Muhmamadiyah Jumapolo dilakukan dengan: 1)Peningkatan profesionalisme guru dilakukan dengan masa OJT (On Job Training) bagi guru baru dan pengembangan diri bagi guru lama serta pembinaan motivasi secara intensif, 2)Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan empat kurikulum (DIKNAS, KEMENAG, PONPES GONTOR dan ISMUBA) dengan pendekatan berbagai metode pembelajaran 3)Peningkatan sarana dan prasarana dilakukan dengan cara optimalisasi pemanfaatan SARPRAS yang ada dan pengadaan SARPRAS yang dibutuhkan, 4)Peningkatan motifasi belajar siswa dilakukan dengan cara pemberian reward dan punishman, pemberian pujian dan kompetisi. Ketiga, kendala dan solusi peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SDIT Muhmamadiyah Jumapolo diantaranya: 1)Peningkatan profesionalisme guru seperti rekruetmen guru yang tidak sesuai kualifikasi. Solusinya adalah dengan menguikutsertakan dalam kegiatan pengembangan diri dan studi ulang atau study lanjut, 2)Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran seperti status sekolah yang bukan ful day school. Solusinya dengan pengorganisasian materi dan pengurangan materi di kurikulum gontor, 3)Peningkatan sarana dan prasarana seperti masalah pendanaan. Solusinya adalah kerja sama dengan wali murid dan pendonatur, 4)Peningkatan motifasi belajar siswa seperti anak kurang pendampingan di rumah. Solusinya adalah kerja sama dan komunikasi intens antara guru dan orang tua anak melalui via HP, buku penghubung dan home visit.

This research aims to explain: (1) the competence of  leadership of MTs Al Manar Medan Head Master; (2) the quality of education MTs Al Manar medan; (3) the effectiveness of leadership’s competence of MTs Al Manar Medan Head Master in improving the quality of education in MTs Al Manar Medan. This research was conducted by using qualitative descriptive approach. Research Subject is Head Master. The informants are Head Master, Vice of Head Master and Teachers. The data collection technique in this research is by: (1) Observation, (2) Interview, and (3) Documentation Study. Data Analysis Process is done by: Data Reduction, Display Data and Conclusion Drawing/Verification. The collected data is examined the validity of data by using Triangulation Data. The results of this research are: (1) Head Master’s Leadership Competence of MTs Al Manar Medan include; (a) Personality Competencies, (b) Managerial Competencies, (c) Supervision Competencies, and (d) Social Competencies. (2) Quality of Education in MTs Al Manar Medan, Teachers are able to carry out the learning process well in accordance with the RPP that has been developed in accordance with the needs of schools, mastery of good learning media by teachers, discipline teachers and good students, students are able to follow the competitions in outside the school, the quality of graduates can compete with elite schools in Medan City. (3) The effectiveness of Headmaster Leadership Competence in Improving the Quality of Education includes: (a) Personality Competence, Head Master able to give good characters to teachers and students. (b) Managerial Competence, Head master able to makes annual program well, guide teachers and education personnel in performing tasks, motivate teachers to improve teacher professionalism, and maximize school’s facilities and infrastructure. (c) Supervision Competencies, Head master evaluates the performance of teachers and education personnel on a regular basis at the end of every end years of learning, principals provide direct supervision during the learning process in the classroom. (d) Social Competence, headmaster participate in any activity within and outside the school.
