This paper presents French norms for the online version of the Sussex-Waterloo Scale of Hypnotizability. This scale is an online adaptation of the well-established Waterloo-Stanford Group C scale of hypnotic susceptibility with both behavioural and subjective scores. Insofar as hypnotizability (the ability to respond to suggestions in a hypnotic context) varies substantially in the general population and remains generally stable throughout life, it is important to measure it in experiments using hypnotic suggestion. However, these scales are time consuming, as they often require multiple sessions in order to achieve a suitable sample size for subsequent participant screening. One promising route for overcoming this inconvenience is to perform hypnotizability assessment online. The Sussex-Waterloo Scale of Hypnotizability is the first to have demonstrated the viability of online measurement. We show that our translation of this scale yields similar statistics. Alongside recent critics of the classic scales of hypnotizability, we point to limitations of this scale and discuss ways of accommodating some of its drawbacks.

Abstract Background Epidemiological data indicate that a large part of population needs to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. Hence, it is of high importance for public health officials to know whether people are going to get vaccinated for COVID-19. The objective of the present study was to examine the willingness of adult residents in Greece to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Methods A cross-sectional was survey conducted among the adult general population of Greece between April 28, 2020 to May 03, 2020 (last week of lockdown), using a mixed methodology for data collection: Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) and Computer Assisted web Interviewing (CAWI). Using a sample size calculator, the target sample size was found to be around 1000 respondents. To ensure a nationally representative sample of the urban/rural population according to the Greek census 2011, a proportionate stratified by region systematic sampling procedure was used to recruit particpants. Data collection was guided through a structured questionnaire. Regarding willingness to COVID-19 vaccination, participants were asked to answer the following question: “If there was a vaccine available for the novel coronavirus, would you do it?” Results Of 1004 respondents only 57.7% stated that they are going to get vaccinated for COVID-19. Respondents aged > 65 years old, those who either themselves or a member of their household belonged to a vulnerable group, those believing that the COVID-19 virus was not developed in laboratories by humans, those believing that coronavirus is far more contagious and lethal compared to the H1N1 virus, and those believing that next waves are coming were statistically significantly more likely to be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine. Higher knowledge score regarding symptoms, transmission routes and prevention and control measures against COVID-19 was significantly associated with higher willingness of respondents to get vaccinated. Conclusion A significant proportion of individuals in the general population are unwilling to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, stressing the need for public health officials to take immediate awareness-raising measures.

Oral Submucous Fibrosis (OSMF) is characterized by Juxta-epithelial inflammation with oedema, fibroblasts, neutrophil and eosinophil inflammatory infiltrate. Therefore, it is of interest to gain insights from an awareness survey on ORAL SUBMUCOUS FIBROSIS (OSMF). The sample size was 100 patients who had participated in this survey in Tamilnadu, India where 93% of the subjects used tobacco products. 81% of the patients were not aware of the malignancy caused by OSMF. A significant number of males use more tobacco than females (p value = 0.006 (<0.05) in the sample dataset. Thus, there is a need to create awareness on OSMF among the general population to combat the associated diseases.

This chapter focuses upon the needs of two approaches, economic evaluations based on decision analytic models, and those alongside clinical trials in terms of the collection and analysis of health state values. The first section of the chapter presents requirements that are likely to be common to any study in which health state values are collected from patients and/or members of the general population, including: who to ask, mode of administration, timing of assessments, sample size, and handling uncertainty. The second section of the chapter considers issues specific to trial-based economic evaluations, and the final section considers issues specific to the design and analysis of health state valuation data for economic models.

COVID 19 is a respiratory communicable disease which has created worldwide crisis. The aim of this study is to assess the knowledge and awareness of this disease among the general population for which online based circulation of a multiple choice type questionnaire which consisted of 10 questions was used. About 100 participants were included in the study. The data thus received was transferred to excel sheet and assessed as percentages. Most of them have responded positively and there was deciency for few questions only. The limitation of the study is the sample size and the participants are those who had the facility of internet connection.

The author proceeds from the position that the idea of patriotism and citizenship should be a serious basis for the ideology in demand, and, consequently, the basis for education. In Russia, people most often associated the idea of service with their attitude to the country, people, and homeland. The desire for justice and security of a person’s self-consciousness in Russia most often connects with a strong state, the person’s ability to serve his country, patriotism, the ability to bring glory and benefit to the motherland. The object of the empirical study of citizenship is student youth aged 17 to 25 years; time period - 2018 - 2020 according to a sample representing the general population by sex and age; the general population is student youth of a specified age. The sample size was 1205 people, the sampling error on one basis was about 5%. Cossack youth was considered in comparison with the main sample. The most important value of citizenship is patriotism. To the question "What does it mean for you to be a patriot?". The answers were as follows. “Love Russia and be proud of your country” - 64.3% (rank 1). Among Cossack youth this indicator is 88.2%. Further: “protect Russia” - 47.8% (rank 2). Among Cossack youth this indicator is 87.3%. Respect the traditions and culture of their country - 35.6% (rank 3). Among Cossack youth this indicator is 67.6%. The results of this study convince us that the system of educational work with Cossack youth gives a more favorable picture of the formation of citizenship of young people.

Background: Smokeless tobacco consumption, which is widespread throughout the world, lead to oral sub mucous fibrosis (OSMF), which is a long-lasting and disturbing condition of the oral cavity with the potential for malignancy. Mainly focus on the consumption of smokeless tobacco, such as pan and ghutkha the role of these substances in the instruction of OSMF and ultimately oral cancer. It was established using the finding tools provide. The continuous chewing pan and swallowing of ghutkha cause progressive fibrosis in sub mucosal tissue. Generally, OSMF occurs due to multiple risk factors, especially smokeless tobacco and its mechanism, such as betel quid, Areca nuts, and slaked lime, which are used in pan and gutkha. The incidence of oral cancer is higher in women than in men in the South Asian country. Objective: 1 To assess the existing knowledge regarding health hazards of spitting in public places among the general population. 2. Cues that predict the future location of emotional stimuli may evoke an anticipatory form of automatic attentional bias. The reliability of this bias towards threat is uncertain: experimental design may need to be optimized or individual differences may simply be relatively noisy in the general population. The current study therefore aimed to determine the split-half reliability of the bias, in a design with fewer factors and more trials than in previous work. A sample of 63 participants was used for analysis, who performed the cued Visual Probe Task online, which aims to measure an anticipatory attentional bias. The overall bias towards threat was tested and split-half reliability was calculated over even and odd blocks. Results showed a significant bias towards threat and a reliability of around .7. The results support systematic individual differences in anticipatory attentional bias and demonstrate that RT-based bias scores, with online data collection, can be reliable.

Background:Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) has been associated with different comorbidities, particularly some of cardiac origin. Recently, some studies have been published that suggest that certain arrhythmias may be more frequent in AS than in the general population. Objectives:To estimate the prevalence of arrhythmias in patients diagnosed of AS in our environment and to compare it with that of the general population. Methods:Descriptive cross-sectional study in patients diagnosed with AS by New York criteria, seen in our Department from 1st January 2018 to 30th March 2019, with age ≥ 18 years. A baseline 12-lead ECG was performed unless patients already had an ECG or a 24-hour Holter in the previous year. Likewise, demographic and disease-related variables were collected, such as: sex, age, body mass index (BMI), HLA-B27, year of diagnosis, pattern of involvement, comorbidities, ESR and CRP, BASFI and BASDAI (scales of 0 to 100), questionnaire about physical exercise, tobacco habits and treatments received. Descriptive statistical analysis was performed by calculating means with their standard deviation (SD) and percentages with their confidence intervals (CI). Prevalence of arrhythmias obtained in AS was compared with studies that determined the prevalence in the general population (statistical tool: SPSS).Results:117 patients with AS (62.4% men), mean age 54.8 years (± SD: 15.7), disease progression of 14.7 ± 9.6 years were included. HLA B27 was positive in 75.4%. Mean values of ESR and CRP were 14.4 mm/h and 0.6 mg/dl, respectively, and the average of the BASFI and BASDAI scores were 26/100 and 30/100, respectively. The prevalence of heart rhythm disorders was 19.7% (95% CI 12.3-27.0), which was significantly associated with advanced age, arterial hypertension and body mass index (BMI). No association was found with other activity or functional disease parameters (CRP, BASDAI, BASFI). The rhythm disorders found were: 9.4% (95% CI: 4.0-14.8) of the patients presented supraventricular tachyarrhythmias; 7.7% (95% CI: 2.7-12.6) had atrioventricular blocks and 6.8% (95% CI: 2.2-11.5) intraventricular conduction disorders. Although no differences were found regarding the prevalence described in the general population, an associative trend was observed, although it did not reach statistical significance probably due to the small sample size recruited. Conclusion:There seems to be an increased tendency of heart rhythm disorders in patients with AS compared to the general population, which may have clinical and therapeutic implications. However, studies with larger sample size are needed to corroborate these results. In addition, there was a relationship between the presence of arrhythmias and certain pro-inflammatory situations (older age and BMI, although not CRP), which supports the hypothesis that some underlying inflammation status in these patients could partly justify an increased arrhythmogenesis.Disclosure of Interests:Carlos Rodríguez-López: None declared, Esther Vicente Speakers bureau: BMS, Roche., Eva Tomero Muriel: None declared, Juan Pedro López-Bote: None declared, Lorena Vega: None declared, Isidoro González-Álvaro Grant/research support from: Roche Laboratories, Consultant of: Lilly, Sanofi, Paid instructor for: Lilly, Speakers bureau: Abbvie, MSD, Roche, Lilly, Alicia Humbría: None declared, Jesús Jiménez Borreguero: None declared, Rosario Garcia de Vicuna Grant/research support from: BMS, Lilly, MSD, Novartis, Roche, Consultant of: Abbvie, Biogen, BMS, Celltrion, Gebro, Lilly, Mylan, Pfizer, Sandoz, Sanofi, Paid instructor for: Lilly, Speakers bureau: BMS, Lilly, Pfizer, Sandoz, Sanofi, Fernando Alfonso Manterola: None declared, Santos Castañeda: None declared
