Alumni tracking is a difficult task for any institution that has been running for a long time. The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering (DOECE), Pulchowk Campus, IOE, has been offering undergraduate programs since 1994 A.D. and masters programs since 2001 A.D. The existing information about the alumni of the department is unmanaged and out of date. This paper presents a web-based system to integrate data of alumni into a well-managed database, and to act as a portal where alumni can update their current status and view online alumni yearbooks. This work aims to make the task of alumni tracking easier and simpler for the department. The web-based portal has been accessed by many alumni of the department starting from the earliest batches to update their information and see the whereabouts of others. From the collected alumni responses, some preliminary insights observed were: (a) it was seen that alumni seem to be heterogeneous both in their job positions and employers, however, a large portion are employed in the software sector, (b) most alumni (60%) are currently residing in Nepal, and (c) for further education, the USA (39%) seems to be the favored choice, followed closely by Nepal (32.5%).

The right and appropriate system of receiving and transferring goods is needed by the company. In the process of receiving and transferring goods from the central warehouse to the branch warehouse at PDAM Tirta Kerta Raharja, Tangerang Regency, which is currently done manually is still ineffective and inaccurate because the Head of Subdivision uses receipt documents, namely PPBP and mutation of goods, namely MPPW in the form of paper as a submission media. The Head of Subdivision enters the data of receipt and mutation of goods manually and requires a relatively long time because at the time of demand for the transfer of goods the Head of Subdivision must check the inventory of goods in the central warehouse first. Therefore, it is necessary to hold a design of information systems for the receipt and transfer of goods from the central warehouse to a web-based branch warehouse that is already database so that it is more effective, efficient and accurate. With the web-based system of receiving and transferring goods that are already datatabed, it can facilitate the Head of Subdivision in inputing data on the receipt and transfer of goods and control of stock inventory so that the Sub Head of Subdivision can do it periodically to make it more effective, efficient and accurate. The method of data collection is done by observing, interviewing and studying literature from various previous studies, while the system analysis method uses the Waterfall method which aims to solve a problem and uses design methods with visual modeling that is object oriented with UML while programming using PHP and MySQL as a database.

Document tracking which involves recording and monitoring the movement of documents has been a time-consuming task for staff. Dislocation and overlooking of the timeline have always been the problems in document control. An effective tool such as a web-based system is the easiest way to be implemented in the workplace. The Accreditation Document Tracking System (ADTS) is designed to monitor the movement and timeline of the document from a department to another department throughout the accreditation process efficiently. The main objective of this project is to develop a system that can track the location of a document and its status of submission at every stage. This advantageous system is developed through scrum approach, which is the most widespread agile methodology used in the industry. It offers flexibility and simplicity to the system developer in upgrading the system. Furthermore, the Unified Modelling Language (UML) is used to describe the interaction between user and proposed system. UML consists of three visual diagrams: (i) Use case diagram, (ii) activity diagram, and (iii) sequence diagram. By following each stage of the diagrams, the proposed system is able to be developed in order to achieve the objective of this project within within the university as well Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).

The arrangment of teaching schedule at Yayasan Perguruan Harapan Stabat is still not effective as it is done manually. The scheduling process is less accurate, takes a long time in terms of scheduling and delivering information to teachers and students. There are a number of teaching schedules for teachers that are not suitable and clashes occur. In this research, an Android and web application-based system is designed to solve these problems. The system is designed using Android Studio to build Android-based applications, while on the backend for schedule management a web-based system is provided using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The new system designed can be accessed online by teachers and students so that the delivery of teaching schedules is more effective, fast and accurate.

A computational approach for estimating the overall, population, and individual cancer hazard rates was developed. The population rates characterize a risk of getting cancer of a specific site/type, occurring within an age-specific group of individuals from a specified population during a distinct time period. The individual rates characterize an analogous risk but only for the individuals susceptible to cancer. The approach uses a novel regularization and anchoring technique to solve an identifiability problem that occurs while determining the age, period, and cohort (APC) effects. These effects are used to estimate the overall rate, and to estimate the population and individual cancer hazard rates. To estimate the APC effects, as well as the population and individual rates, a new web-based computing tool, called the CancerHazard@Age , was developed. The tool uses data on the past and current history of cancer incidences collected during a long time period from the surveillance databases. The utility of the tool was demonstrated using data on the female lung cancers diagnosed during 1975–2009 in nine geographic areas within the USA. The developed tool can be applied equally well to process data on other cancer sites. The data obtained by this tool can be used to develop novel carcinogenic models and strategies for cancer prevention and treatment, as well as to project future cancer burden.

Objectives: Counseling is an essential component of the treatment of communication disorders. Clinicians and students in the field have reported a necessity for the incorporation of counseling courses into speech-language pathology practice. Thus, the purpose of this study was to examine the current status of a counseling curriculum in the field of communication sciences and disorders, and to present the professors’ and speech-language pathologists’(SLP) perceptions of the counseling curriculum. Methods: A web-based questionnaire regarding the current status and need for the counseling curriculum was developed and distributed to professors in undergraduate and graduate programs and to SLPs in clinical settings. Responses from a total of 66 professors and 121 SLPs were collected and were used for the analysis. Results: Overall, 66.7% of undergraduate programs and 26.9% of graduate programs offer a counseling course within the department. Also, 100% and 85.1% of professors in undergraduate and graduate programs reported the need for counseling education and training in the field of communication disorders respectively. A strong majority of SLPs (95.7%) also felt counseling courses are needed. By clinical areas, SLPs working in language development disorders reported the highest need (25.4%) for counseling courses, followed by neurological disorders and fluency disorders. Conclusion: The results show that the need for counseling programs was high among professors and clinicians. Thus, the implementation of a systematic and adequate counseling curriculum in the field of communication disorders is suggested.

The aircraft design is required to carry out the functions of the Design Organization Approval (DOA), in which there are several positions involved, namely Design Engineer (DE), Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) and Airworthiness Officer (AWO). In the process, DE makes aircraft designs, CVE will correct the designs that have been made, and AWO will make corrections based on document writing standards. The current problem is that the document checking process takes a long time and requires excessive costs for the use of paper and ink. The solution to solve this problem is by building a web-based system. The system was built using the CodeIgniter framework and PostgreSQL as its database. As for the development of the system itself using the Prototype method. Through this system, the DOA function process will be faster and paperless.

Kata kunci: Sistem Rekomendasi, Web, Waterfall, Minat, Rothwell-Miller Interest BlankAbstract: The Indonesia Career Center Network found that 87% of Indonesian students felt they were on the wrong education path. This situation is one of the factors in decreasing learning performance. These incidents can be prevented by early detection of children's interests. Children's interests could be detected by doing a consultation with an educational psychologist. A psychologist detects children's interest through manual tests. The problem with this process takes a long time because it requires accuracy in calculating, checking results, and providing recommendations. Errors in the calculation analysis process from the test tool can occur at any time, which results in errors in detecting someone's interest. This study discusses developing a web-based system that aims to assist experts in analyzing children's interests to be faster, more flexible, and error-prevented. The Waterfall method is used to develop a system, and the Rothwell-Miller Interest Blank method is used for calculations in detecting children's interests. This system was tested with 20 samples, and all the output detection results from the system were in accordance with the detection results from experts. The test results indicate that this system provides excellent accuracy to assist experts in detecting children's interests. Keywords: Recommender System, Web, Waterfall, Interest, Rothwell-Miller Interest Blank

Background: Over the past five years, the cold atmospheric plasma-activated solutions (PAS) have shown their promissing application in cancer treatment. Similar as the common direct cold plasma treatment, PAS shows a selective anti-cancer capacity in vitro and in vivo. However, different from the direct cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) treatment, PAS can be stored for a long time and can be used without dependence on a CAP device. The research on PAS is gradually becoming a hot topic in plasma medicine. Objectives: In this review, we gave a concise but comprehensive summary on key topics about PAS including the development, current status, as well as the main conclusions about the anti-cancer mechanism achieved in past years. The approaches to make strong and stable PAS are also summarized.
