The purpose of this research is to determine the factors that affect the behavioral intention of Malaysians individuals to adopt online stock trading. The primary data is collected with the help of structured questionnaire from 285 participants in the study who are current or potential investors in the Malaysian stock market. The online surveys were distributed from the last quarter of 2019 to the first quarter of 2020. This study uses the structured and self-administered online questionnaire survey tool to collect the primary data from samples. Non-probability convenient sampling method was employed and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) is adopted. The results indicate that all constructs, namely performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), social influence (SI) and facilitating conditions (FC) have a direct significant positive relationship toward behavioral intention. In addition, the study shows that PE is the most important factor in determining individuals’ behavioral intention in adopting online stock trading. In conclusion, online stock trading system developer should focus on designing the additional useful features and ensuring the quality of the information to satisfy the demands and desires of the general public and to build features such as prompting traders to avoid the possibility of over trading or with feature enabling users to backtrack and test their trading strategies and to customize different types of analysis to help users making informed investment decisions.

With the rapid development of educational tools, co-design has been on the rise. Co-design is instrumental in successful product development as it merges two key perspectives, namely consumers’ insights and professionals’ knowledge. The roles of users, designers, and developers are now blurred as educators have begun to construct their own tools for teaching based on problems and ideas conceived in their classrooms, thereby assuming roles as designers and to some extent, as developers. A more common practice in recent days is educators’ co-designing of tools with system developers to achieve their targeted goal. This study attempted to explore the process of co-designing an augmented reality (AR) mobile application and the role of a system developer in mediating the design process with non-designers, namely academic members of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. This study further aimed to delineate the nuances of the AR mobile application co-design experience from the perspective of the system developer. Semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analyses were conducted to examine the detailed process of co-designing and developing the AR application as well as to understand the developer’s interaction with the consumers. The main findings of this study suggest that the waterfall model of the Software Development Life Cycle was in use during the co-design process. This cycle generally involves five stages, namely (i) planning, (ii) analysis, (iii) design, (iv) implementation, and (v) maintenance, which are iterative in nature. The designer’s role in mediating the co-design process encompassed balancing their knowledge and experience with the needs of consumers that do not necessarily match the designer’s expectations. This was achieved through (i) precise communication, (ii) commitment to the delivery and quality of the AR mobile application, as well as to building cohesive working relationships, and (iii) motivation to work with co-designers during the development process. The findings shed light on the value of co-design and the complex role of designers in mediating the design process with non-designers, which when accounted for, can lead to more feasible project development.

The Aim of this paper is to evaluate the advantages of digital twin technology as compared with the conventional approaches to the design of a vital two-channel system. Methods. The system is described with a Markovian model. This model allows defining the quantitative safety characteristics if the system is affected by right-side failures. Results. The system’s primary quantitative safety indicators were identified as the mean time to wrong-side failure and mean time to right-side failure along with the quantitative relations of the prime and additional costs for a batch of products. Conclusion. Transforming the initial item into a system with digital twins allows significantly reducing the rate of wrong-side failures. This effect may be obtained not only with the use of digital twins, but also as the result of the system transitioning into the state of right-side failure in each event of discrepancy betwin the initial item and/or the digital twins. It has been established that the mean time to right-side failure under such conditions is not less than the mean time to failure of the initial item. That means that highly efficient measures for safety improvement allow maintaining the system dependability at a level not lower than that of the initial item. The introduction of digital twins into a system is a new, not yet tested way of ensuring system safety. The decision on the benefits of additional costs is taken by the customer and system developer together. At the same time, it must be taken into consideration that in case of large batches of manufactured technical systems, the effect of additional costs is reduced and the effect of significantly improved safety is maintained.

The existing approach to requirements extraction is that the requirements are formed by the system developer through direct interaction with the customer using a number of methods (for example, interviewing; prototyping; analysis of use cases; user stories; seminars, etc.). In this case, most often the requirements are formed by the developer himself, taking into account the opinion of the customer’s representative. The disadvantage of the existing approach is the problem of loss of knowledge transferred from the customer’s representatives to the developer, which results in the failure of projects, which is recorded by the existing statistics. As statistical studies show, more than half of projects for the creation of information systems (IS) are failures or require changes (in terms of budget, time and customer satisfaction). In modern research in the field of__ design and development of information systems, there is a tendency to involve the end user (customer) in the design process. To develop this idea, an approach is proposed to involve the user in the process of extracting requirements, where the developer will no longer be the person forming the requirements. The main idea of the approach is to develop special tools that allow you to independently transform the customer’s natural language into such a form of representation of the model of the process of solving professional problems, from which an interface will be built, which will allow extracting functional requirements from the unity (process model and interface).

In this paper, we provide a fine-grain machine learning-based method, PerfNetV2, which improves the accuracy of our previous work for modeling the neural network performance on a variety of GPU accelerators. Given an application, the proposed method can be used to predict the inference time and training time of the convolutional neural networks used in the application, which enables the system developer to optimize the performance by choosing the neural networks and/or incorporating the hardware accelerators to deliver satisfactory results in time. Furthermore, the proposed method is capable of predicting the performance of an unseen or non-existing device, e.g. a new GPU which has a higher operating frequency with less processor cores, but more memory capacity. This allows a system developer to quickly search the hardware design space and/or fine-tune the system configuration. Compared to the previous works, PerfNetV2 delivers more accurate results by modeling detailed host-accelerator interactions in executing the full neural networks and improving the architecture of the machine learning model used in the predictor. Our case studies show that PerfNetV2 yields a mean absolute percentage error within 13.1% on LeNet, AlexNet, and VGG16 on NVIDIA GTX-1080Ti, while the error rate on a previous work published in ICBD 2018 could be as large as 200%.

A series of Development and Operations (DevOps) in the process of making the Narotama University Management Information System have not been implemented properly by previous developers. There are improvements or additional features of the Management Information System that are in accordance with the functionality and the increasing development needs that will be used by the academic community, so that the Management Information System developer has a little difficulty in integrating documents and distributing applications with different packages to the Production Server. In this study, a new system design is proposed by applying the practice of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery as a document integration process and can simplify the application distribution process, as well as implementing the Docker Container Platform as an application container with different packages that can be run on production server together. The results of implementing the practice of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and the implementation of the Docker Container Platform are able to help integrate documents between developers and be able to release fixes and add features packaged in different containers automatically and periodically without long delays. which only takes an average of 17.9 seconds in the process of sending the application to the Production Server.

Document tracking which involves recording and monitoring the movement of documents has been a time-consuming task for staff. Dislocation and overlooking of the timeline have always been the problems in document control. An effective tool such as a web-based system is the easiest way to be implemented in the workplace. The Accreditation Document Tracking System (ADTS) is designed to monitor the movement and timeline of the document from a department to another department throughout the accreditation process efficiently. The main objective of this project is to develop a system that can track the location of a document and its status of submission at every stage. This advantageous system is developed through scrum approach, which is the most widespread agile methodology used in the industry. It offers flexibility and simplicity to the system developer in upgrading the system. Furthermore, the Unified Modelling Language (UML) is used to describe the interaction between user and proposed system. UML consists of three visual diagrams: (i) Use case diagram, (ii) activity diagram, and (iii) sequence diagram. By following each stage of the diagrams, the proposed system is able to be developed in order to achieve the objective of this project within within the university as well Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
