History belongs to a compulsory element in the teaching and learning at school. It can help students to know and more appreciate the past events. The number of history materials taught at school sometimes causes difficulty for students to learn. The lack of facilities and learning media which can attract student’s interest becomes the main factors of student’s difficulty in learning Social Science. Learning medium is very vital to determine what materials students can learn. One of solutions to solve difficulty in learning history is by creating new learning medium in the form of educational game as it can arouse student’s ability in thinking. One of the games teaching history particularly the history of Surabaya is Dreamcatcher: War of Surabaya. This game was designed based on historical events in Surabaya composed in an attractive story. It is completed with quiz to improve student’s memory. Game “Dreamcatcher: War of Surabaya” can be played with android platform and it is considered successful in teaching the history of Surabaya as it could improve students’ abilities on Surabaya history by 113.7% based on the results of pre-and post-tests.

Abstract: The teaching medium is a knowledge of the teaching methods used by a teacher or instructor. Methods are the means used to achieve the established goals. Another technique is the presentation technique that is mastered by the teacher to teach or present the lesson materials to the students in the classroom, so that the lesson can be absorbed, understood and used by the students well. The better the teaching method, the more effective the achievement of the goal. Motivation is a change of energy within a person characterized by the emergence of "feeling and preceded by the response to the purpose, to get it then must be selected methods that if acceptable in teaching and learning activities well. In fact, the way or method of teaching used to convey different information in the way adopted to establish students in mastering knowledge, skills and attitudes (cognitive, psychomotoric, affective). Specific methods of teaching in the classroom, the effectiveness of a method is influenced by the purpose, student factors, situation factors, and teacher factor itself. Demonstration is a teaching method done by a teacher or someone else by showing the whole class about a process or a way of doing something. Demonstrations are always directed to the correct way of practice which is then Apliskasikan in everyday life. And recitation is also one of the learning media known as homework or students are given the task outside of lesson time. Both methods can be implemented simultaneously in the teaching and learning process.From the above statements can be concluded that in learning, students so as not to get bored then there should be variations in learning methods. Teachers must be clever in choosing a method, one of which is the Graphic method (concept map). In this case on the history of the use of Graphic method (concept map) is the right method to invite students to think and understand and apply in everyday life. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan data terkait bagaimana integrasi pendidikan karakter pada pembelajaran sejarah yang dilakukan guru di kelas XI di SMA Muhammadiyah Mataram. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Integrasi Pendidikan Karakter dalam Pembelajaran Sejarah Kelas XI SMU Muhammadyah di Kota Mataram. Peneliti bertindak sebagai keyinstrument. Data dikumpulkan dari wawancara, observasi dan dokumntasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif. Hasil penilitian yaitu bahwa integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran sejarah yang dilakukan guru di kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah Mataram dengan cara: menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, Memberikan pendidikan karakter secara eksplisit, sistematis dan berkesinambunga, Metode pengajaran yang memperhatikan keunikan masing-masing anak, Membangun hubungan yang suportive dan penuh perhatian di kelas dan seluruh sekolah harus berkarakteristik aman, Model (contoh) prilaku positif, Menciptakan peluang bagi siswa untuk menjadi aktif dan penuh makna termasuk dalam kehidupan di kelas dan sekolah, Mengajarkan keterampilan sosial dan emosional secara esensial, Melibatkan siswa dalam wacana moral, isu moral, dan membuat tugas pembelajaran yang penuh makna dan relevan untuk siswa. This study aims to find data related to how the integration of character education on learning history conducted by teachers in grade XI in SMA Muhammadiyah Mataram. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this research is the Integration of Character Education in Learning History of Class XI SMU Muhammadiyah in Mataram City. The researcher acts as a keyinstrument. Data were collected from interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use interactive analysis. The result of research is that the integration of character education in teaching history done by teacher in grade XI SMA Muhammadiyah Mataram by: creating a conducive learning environment, Providing character education explicitly, systematically and sustainable, Teaching methods that pay attention to the uniqueness of each child, the suportive and attentive in the classroom and the whole school should be characterized as safe, Models (examples) of positive behaviors, Creating opportunities for students to be active and meaningful including in life in the classroom and school, Essentially taught social and emotional skills, Involving students in moral discourse, moral issues, and create meaningful and relevant learning tasks for students.

Learning history is closely related with the life of humans in the past, at present, and in the future. Basically, history is a continuous dialogue between the past, the present, and the future. The purpose of this study is to integrate teaching and learning local history with national history (moment). The students are expected to know the local heroes who fought not only for their country but also in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. Local heroes have the good character which can adapted in students life. To explore the character values, this research used naturalistic method (natural setting), it is also known as qualitative approach. The result of observation and interviews show that the learners understand the character of heroic event of the struggle of people against colonialism. From this research it can be concluded that the cultivation of values of local history is closely related with the values of national history, which is very important to improve patriotism of the learners. Thus the development of the values derived from the view of life and the values found in local residence (region).Keywords: history, local, learning, character

ResumoHistória da Ciência e Ensino de Ciências são áreas do conhecimento com possibilidades de interface anunciadas e investigadas na atualidade, desse modo, produzindo conhecimento a comunidade de pesquisa interessada em encontrar caminhos didáticos para a sala de aula. Por meio de Narrativas Históricas (NHs), Estudo de Caso e sistematicamente Sequências Didáticas, essa interface tem sido desenvolvida. O estudo de textos históricos de divulgação científica auxilia a compreender a divulgação do conhecimento científico para o público comum no passado, acredita-se ser possível o uso desses textos na construção de materiais didáticos como Narrativas Históricas (NHs) e Estudo de Caso. Neste artigo discutimos características enunciadas em textos de divulgação científica escritos por um divulgador da ciência brasileiro, relacionando essas características na construção de Narrativas Históricas que venham a utilizar os textos desse divulgador. As características são conteúdo temático, composição do enunciado e estilo verbal. The study of historical texts of scientific popularization assist to understand the popularization scientific knowledge to the common public in the past, it is believed that the use of these is possible in the construction of instruction materials such as Historical Narratives (NHs) and Case Study. In this paper we discuss characteristics stated in scientific popularization texts written by a Brazilian science disseminator, relating these characteristics in the construction of Historical Narratives that come to use the texts of disseminator. Features are thematic content, statement composition and verbal style. These characteristics assist in the understand of the texts of this disseminator in the process of construction the Historical Narratives.Keywords: Science Teaching. History of Science. AbstractOne of the results of this study aims to clarify that the teaching of history has a lot of media or flexible in its delivery methods, such as through training Jathilan Art. Jathilan Art is one of the folk art using braid horse property, as well as players reog or lumping horse or horses braid. Art Jathilan Revelation turonggo in Kulon Progo Regency is one of folk art will be full of local values. Learning history through Art Jathilan training to improve local values are expected to provide new ideas in history. This is because history can not be separated from the cultures in a society. Meanwhile, art is one of the results of the culture. Teaching history at this point also raised many of the local values because Indonesia is a country rich in culture. To increase the love of the Indonesian state (nationalism) not only through pembelajarah history, especially the material history of the struggle of the Indonesian nation. How to boost nationalism can be done by increasing the understanding of local values. This chapter describes a logic and computer algebra based Expert System that automates identification and recognition of the cult music styles of the period XVII century - beginnings of the XX century. It uses a table that contains a list of characteristics (identifiers) of the music styles of the epoch, developed after interacting with a panel of experts. The user, while or after analysing a score, introduces the identifiers and the expert system returns the score’s style. These tentative identifications and recognitions could be interactively compared with those of experts. Therefore it may be a useful tool for teaching and learning history of music. The objectives are to organize the musical knowledge in an way admissible by the inference engine, to adapt and implement the inference engine (based on a powerful tool for effective polynomial computations named Gröbner bases) and to implement a GUI.

The purpose of this study was to determine the history of learning with a contextual approach. This research is in the form of a Library Study (Library Research) as an effort to collect information and data by utilizing written sources in the library such as books, newspapers, magazines, documents that are relevant to the issues discussed. The results of the study, through learning history teachers can develop students' understanding of the past by learning that can connect between historical material with real situations around students, so students can describe past events as they are in history lessons. The innovation is known as contextual learning that has principles, principles in its application by linking the material learned with the real life of daily students, both within the family, school, community and citizens, with the aim to find meaning the material for his life.From the results of this study, it can be concluded that contextual learning can help students learn past history with real situations around them. Museum is not only a place to collect history evidences of a nation, but it is also considered as a useful learning environment for students. The objects, pictures… exhibited in museum are vivid evidences for students to study, explore history. Each museum has a different exhibition and its own advantages in teaching and learning history. The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum is a museum to display, introduce typical fine arts, paintings of our nation. Basing on the analysis of the roles of The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, a survey of using it in teaching history at high schools, this writing proposes some ideas for using this museum in teaching Vietnamese History from its origins to the mid-nineteenth century and the initial results of pedagogical experiment at Trung Gia High School (Soc Son, Ha Noi).

In geopolitics, the concepts of geography and territory are reduced to the fundamental aspects of relations between States, they serve as a basic method of interpreting the past, they act as the main factors of human existence, organizing all other aspects of existence around them. It is in this perspective that the article examines the attitude to Baikal in the history of the mutually linked foreign policy of Russia and China. It is noted that the Mongols and Manchus, who once conquered China, not only found themselves largely assimilated by the defeated society, but over time, a large part of their ancestral territories began to be perceived as native Chinese. Far from being justified, this also applied to Baikal, although the Yakut etymology of its name, associated with the ethnic ancestors of the Yakuts — the Huns, has been clearly traced since ancient times. Since ancient times, Buryats and Evenks who voluntarily became part of Russia have lived around Baikal. Modern development is characterized by the “penetration” of the Chinese into the business of Asian Russia. In the Baikal region, this focus has basically three goals: forest, clean water, and ownership of land and other natural resources. In a special row, it is necessary to put projects for supplying the population of some Chinese territories with Baikal water, which is planned to be transported both in bottled form and in the future through pipes.
