<p class="HowToCite"><em>The development of paradigm for the human resources potential needed indemandsin all areas, notjustthe qualityof human resources, buthumancharacteritself. Teaching innovations incorporated into textbooks is expected to enhance thequality of education and develop the character building ofthe nation's generation. This research aims to know learners gain optimal learning results. The population is allhigh schools inNorth Sumatra. The sampleinthis study were used research and development methodand taken by purposive sampling, namely SMA Hang Tuah Belawan, SMAN 9 Medan and SMAN 19 Medan each as much as 2classes. Experiment and Control Class. Data were analyzed by using independent sample t-test with SPSS 20 for windowsat significance level 0.05. Results showed that innovative chemistry textbook has been successfully improved the student learning out comes. Innovative textbook can be used to transform the original teacher centered learning into a student centered learning.</em></p>

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi untuk memperoleh data aktivitas siswa dan tes untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sebagai berikut: data hasil analisis uji t aktivitas siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai thitung (5,453) > ttabel (1.677) dengan df=48 dan taraf signifikansi 0,05, sehingga disimpulkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara aktivitas siswa yang pembelajarannya menerapkan model Problem Based Learning dengan siswa yang pembelajarannya menerapkan model konvensional. Sedangkan hasil analisis uji t hasil belajar antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dilakukan dua kali analisis data. Pertama, hasil analisis uji t hasil belajar pretest siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai thitung (0,246) < ttabel (1.677) dengan df=48 dan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Artinya, tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar siswa pada pretest antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kedua, hasil analisis uji t hasil belajar posttest siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai thitung (3,850) > ttabel (1,677) dengan df=48 dan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Artinya, ada perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar siswa pada posttest antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dari kedua analisis dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas V Sekolah Dasar.Kata Kunci : Model Problem Based Learning, aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar AbstractThis research aims on to analyze the influence of the application of the model of Problem Based Learning in improving the activity and student learning outcomes in learning social studies in the fifth grade elementary school. The purpose of this study is to answer if there is a reasonable difference on academical success of students who get education with traditional and RME approach question on “Teaching geometrical objects to 8th grade students” subject. Study group consists of 47 students which contains 21 experimental and 16 control group from “Ordu Anadolu İmam Hatip High School Project School” in Altinordu, Ordu. Experimental and control group have same academical success level, as the school which this study has runned is a school which accepts students with an exam only. After the experimental and control groups were created, a 25 question pre-test was performed to understand the level of knowledge of the group regarding geometrical objects. The same test was performed on the same groups 8 weeks later as retention test. To determine opinions of the students in experimental group regarding RME and related learning activities, semi-structured interviews are conducted. The data obtained from the pretest, posttest and retention tests were analyzed with t-test for independent samples and t-test for dependent samples and variance analysis for mixed measurements with 0.05 significance level. According to the results, it is seen that learning activities prepared according to RME approach are much more effective than learning activities prepared according to the traditional approach on students’ academic success.

Education is essentially an activity carried out by students which results in changes in themselves. This principle implies that what must be prioritized is the learning activities of students instead of something that is given to students. STEM-based learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) can train students to apply their knowledge to create designs as a form of solving environmental problems by utilizing technology. The learning model recommended for use in the 2013 curriculum is a student-centered learning model, one of which is the Project Based Learning model. This study will analyze how much influence STEM education with the PjBL model has on student learning outcomes. This study uses a meta-analysis method. determined via the Effect Size (ES). Research data were obtained from 25 national and international journals. The meta-analysis study is based on three categories, namely education level, subjects and student learning outcomes. The results showed that; first, the influence of the PjBL model of STEM education based on the level of education is most effective in SMP. ES value = 1.89 and categorized as high. Second, based on the type of subject, the most effective influence of the PjBL model of STEM education is Mathematics. ES value = 3,7 and categorized as high. Third, based on student learning outcomes, the influence of the PjBL model of STEM education is the most effective in the aspect of skills. ES value = 1.68 and categorized as high.

ABSTRACTThis research is development with the aim of (1) developing social studies textbook VSD CTL-ariented appoarch in order to improve student learning outcomes,(2) determine the fasibility of fifth grade social studies textbook oriented appoarch to CTL, (3) determine student’s mastery of learning outcomes by using social studies textbook oriented approach CTL. Based on the descriptive analysis shows that the process of textbook development has been carried out according to the stages proposed thiagarajan and has been modified so that the researcher ends at the development stage. Textbooks have also developed good quality feasibility for use. The effectiveness of textbook tested with inferential statistics using SPSS 17.0 is throught the F test and t test. F numbers which assume the same for both varians with   probability 0,224   (sig)   0,623 > 5% means that there is no difference between the experimental and control variants. Figures t-test assuming equal variance both populations is -5,782 with probability (sig) of 0.000. therefore, the number probability <0.05, means there is a difference between  the value of the posttest experimental class and control class posttest values, so it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students by using teaching buju better developed than on the learning outcomes of students who only use regular textbooks. The conclusions derived from the research that has been done stating that the textbook has been developed, meets the eligibility criteria to be used in learning and more active student activity using textbooks, because the more euthusiastic students to understand the materials so that there are differences in the value of students learningoutcomes significantly between Va classes that do not use textbooks and the value of student learning outcomes using Vb class textbook. values class Vb student learning outcomes using textbooks development obtaining learning outcomes Keywords:Textbook, Social Studies,CTL Resulf of Learning. ABSTRAK                                                                                          Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan tujuan (1) mengembangkan Bahan Ajar PKN kelas V yang berorentasi pada pendekatan CTL untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa; (2) mengetahui tingkat kelayakan Bahan Ajar PKN kelas V yang berorentasi pada pendekatan CTL;(3) mengetahui ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan bahan ajar PKN yang berorentasi pada pendekatan CTL. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif diperoleh bahwa proses pengembangan Bahan Ajar telah dilakukan sesuai tahapan yang dikemukakan Thiagarajan dan telah dimodifikasi peneliti sehingga berakhir pada tahap pengembangan. Bahan Ajar yang dikembangkan juga memiliki kualitas kelayakan baik untuk digunakan. Keefektifan Bahan Ajar diuji dengan statistic inferensial menggunakan SPSS 17.0 yaitu melalui uji F dan uji t. angka F yang mengansumsikan kedua varian sama sebesar 0,224 dengan probabilitas (sig) sebesar 0,623 > 5% berarti tidak ada perbedaan varian antara eksperimen dan control. ANgka t-test yang mengansumsikan varian kedua populasi sama adalah -5,782 dengan probabilitas (sig) sebesar 0,000. Oleh karena angka probabilitas <0,05, dapat diartikan ada perbedaan nilai posttest antara kelas eksperimen dan nilai nilai posttest kelas control, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan Bahan Ajar yang dikembangkan lebih baik dari hasil belajar siswa yang hanya menggunakan bahan ajar biasa. Simpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan menyatakan bahwa bahan ajar yang telah dikembangkan, memenuhi kriteria kelayakan untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran, karena siswa lebih antusias untuk memahami materi sehingga ada perbedaan nilai hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan antara kelas Va yang tidak menggunakan bahan ajar dan nilai belajar siswa kelas Vb dengan menggunakan bahan ajar. Nilai hasil belajar siswa kelas Vb dengan menggunakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memperoleh hasil belajar. Kata kunci: Bahan Ajar, PKN, Contextual Teaching and Learning, Hasil Belajar.

This research is motivated by the need for learning which demands that the teacher is not only proficient in teaching but also facilitates student learning activities in order to create student-centered learning. This study aims to improve teacher competence in making instructional media, in this case media from inorganic materials. This research was conducted at SDN 11 Bathin Solapan with 18 teachers as the subject. The instrument in this study was an observation sheet. The results showed that in the first cycle the competence of the teacher in making learning media was 67.13%, and the second cycle was 74.54% with good criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that providing guidance can improve teacher competence in making learning media from inorganic materials.

This review article includes our analysis of the literature and our own experiences in using various types of active learning as best practices for evidence-based teaching in physiology. We have evaluated what physiology students should be expected to learn and what are specific challenges to enhancing their learning of physiology principles. We also consider how the instructor should design his or her teaching to improve buy-in from both students and other faculty members. We include a discussion of how the readers can evaluate their teaching approaches for their successes in enhancing student learning of physiology. Thus we have addressed pedagogical improvements specific to student learning of physiology, with additional suggestions from cognitive psychology approaches that can improve physiology teaching and learning.

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of jobsheets on student learning outcomes in the workshop workshops and technical drawing of class X Audio Video Engineering. This type of research is quasi-experimental (quasi experiment). The subjects of this study were students of class X TAV of SMK Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan who in the 2018/2019 school year consisted of 34 students. Data collection in this study using the results of posttest in the form of objective questions as many as 30 items that have been tested for validity, reliability, index of difficulty and power difference questions. Data that has been obtained is analyzed using two different test averages (t test). From the results of the study obtained the value of the experimental class average of 84.94 and the average value of the control class 75.26. With the analysis of t test, it is obtained tcount = 6.131 which is smaller than t table = 2.037 at the significance level of 0.05. Thus it can be concluded that the use of jobsheet has a significant influence on improving student learning outcomes in the workshop workshops and technical models of class X TAV at SMK Negeri 1 Koto XI TarusanKeywords: jobsheet, workshop work and engineering drawings, Improving Learning Outcomes.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kualitas buku ajar kimia di SMA/MA Kelas XI Semester 1 yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini sehingga memenuhi standar kualitas seperti yang dipersyaratkan oleh BSNP dan sesuai dengan kurikulum 2013. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah guru-guru kimia  di SMA/MA yang ada di Kota Medan, Propinsi Sumatera Utara. Sampel penelitian diambil secara purposive. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah dirumuskan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data berupa penilaian kualitas buku diperoleh dari angket yang diberikan pada responden yaitu guru-guru kimia SMA/MA di Kota Medan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan independent sample t-test dengan SPSS 20 for windows pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif berbasis masalah lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif. This study aims to analyze the quality of chemistry textbooks in SMA/MA Class XI Semester 1 which is produced in this research so as to meet the quality standards as required by BSNP and in accordance with the curriculum 2013. The population of this research is chemistry teachers in SMA/MA is in the city of Medan, North Sumatra Province. The sample was taken purposively. The approach used to achieve the objectives that have been formulated is qualitative and quantitative descriptive research. Data in the form of book quality assessment obtained from questionnaires given to respondents ie high school chemistry teachers MA in Medan City. Data analysis technique using independent sample t-test with SPSS 20 for windows at significance level α=0,05. The results showed that the problem-based cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes. This is shown from the results of research that shows the average value of student learning outcomes with model-based cooperative learning is higher than the average value of student learning outcomes with cooperative learning model.Keyword: textbooks, curriculum 2013

Student Centered Learning-based learning model which was conducted online in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic in Indonesian language learning at SMP Muhammdiyah 01 Medan, namely in class VII junior high school students. This study uses a 4D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The subjects of this study were students of SMP Muhammadiyah 01 Medan class VII-A using a small class scale totaling 25 students. Obtaining data through documentation techniques, questionnaires, observation and tests. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative data analysis. The feasibility of learning media refers to the results of media assessments by the developed learning media experts. The results of this study indicate that the powtoon learning media using a student centered learning-based learning model has met the appropriate and valid criteria for use in Indonesian online learning in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic where in this case learning activities, teacher and student interactions get a percentage of student learning completeness. The test given was 85%. Based on the results of the analysis of student learning outcomes tests, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes tests developed using Powtoon media with a student centered learning based learning model obtained complete criteria.

Writing anecdote text is a creative and productive process, meaning an ability that requires students to produce a product (writing) that aims to provide criticism/ satire accompanied by humor against an event that occurred. The fact that the ability to write anecdot text is still low, the difficulty in putting ideas and ideas into the main factor. The need for a model of learning with the use of media as a way to overcome these problems. Projects based learning assisted media meme are used based on literature review, which is a student-centered learning by applying the concept of the project (based on actual life that occurs) in order to solve the problem independently by using memes as a media that serves to clarify a message or content delivered. At the stage (1) the determination of fundamental questions about the events that occur (actual), (2) preparing the project plan (selection of data collection activities), (3) preparing a schedule (completion of activities), (4) monitoring project progress, (5) assessment of results, and (6) evaluation of experience (reflection of activities). This research aims to determine (a) the effectiveness of the model and (b) the effectiveness of the model in the experimental class (MIPA and IPS). The methodology used is a quasi experiment with 2 by 2 factorial research design. The results of research from data analysis, obtained (a) the difference in ability between the experimental class and control class students with N-gain experiments enter into medium category, while the N-gain controls enter into low category. (b) there is no difference ability in experimental class between MIPA and IPS class students. This shows that the model of Projects based learning assisted media meme effectively used in the class with the background of MIPA and IPS in SMA Negeri 15 Bandung. Keyword: writing anecdote text, project based learning, and media meme.
