AbstractThis study aims to determine the mathematical reasoning abilities, activities and motivation of students by applying the Visualization Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning model. This type of experimental research with the design of the Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The experimental and control classes were given a pretest and a posttest to see the difference in improvement between the two. The population in this study were students of class VIII and the sample was not chosen purely randomly, namely by cluster random sampling (random class) and two classes were chosen. Data analysis using statistical tests namely Mann Whutney U-Test and descriptive analysis in the form of a percentage formula and the average score. The results of data analysis show that: (1) There is a difference in the increase in students' mathematical reasoning abilities, and the increase in the experimental class is higher than the control class; (2) Student learning activities in each indicator are in the very high category and the overall average is 88.075%; (3) The average student motivation in each indicator is in the high category and the overall student average is 4.00.Keywords: Visualization Auditory Kinesthetic, Reasoning, Activity, Motivation

This study aims to determine students' mathematical representation abilities and motivation by applying Think Pair Share (TPS) learning models with an Open-ended approach. This type of quasi-experimental research with the design of the Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The experimental and control classes were given a pretest and a posttest to see the difference in improvement between the two. This study's population was students of class XI, and the sample was not chosen purely randomly, namely by purposive sampling, and two classes were chosen. The instrument used in this study was a test of students' mathematical representation ability and a student motivation questionnaire. Data analysis using statistical tests namely Independent T-test and descriptive analysis in the form of a percentage formula and the average score. The results of data analysis show that: (1) There is a difference in the increase in students' mathematical representation abilities, and the increase in the experimental class is higher than the control class; (2) The average student motivation in each indicator is in the very high category of 92,14%.Keyword: Think Pair Share, Open-ended Approach, Representation, Motivation

<span lang="IN">This study aims to examine the improvement of prospective teacher Mathematical Reasoning (KPM) abilities through E-Learning-assisted Numeration learning. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. The subjects of this study were mathematics prospective teachers at Universitas PGRI Palembang. namely the experimental class which received E-learning assisted numeracy learning (PNBE) and the control class which received conventional learning (PK). Based on the results of the analysis of the difference in the mean difference in the KPM increase of prospective teachers who received PNBE learning and prospective teacher who received conventional learning, the scores from the table of increasing KPM of students who received E-learning-assisted Numeration learning (PNBE) were better than a prospective teacher who received conventional learning. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that numeracy skills and mathematical reasoning abilities of fourth-semester prospective teacher PGSD at PGRI university are quite good. It is recommended for teaching staff/lecturers to be able to try out this learning model on other mathematical abilities.</span>

This study aims to determine the difference of students’ representation ability through the Augmented Reality (AR) and kinetic sand as learning media. This research is a quasi-experimental by nonequivalent control group design. The students’ representation ability compared based on students’ prior mathematical ability (PMA) as high, medium, and low category. The data analyzed by using two path Anova on SPSS 16. The results of data analysis shown that there is no difference on students’ representation ability in both AR class and kinetic sand class in significance value of 0.68. In addition, there is no interaction between AR media and kinetic sand in significance value of 0.542.

This research aims to analyze the practicality and effectiveness student worksheet based on multiple representation to improve conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability, especially in magnetic material. The research method using quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique, class XII student high school in Bandar Lampung. The instruments are feasibility student worksheet of observation sheet, student responses to the student worksheet, student activity sheets, and conceptual understanding test and problem-solving ability test. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis by percentage, N-gain analysis, and independent t-test. The results showed student worksheet based on multiple representation: 1) practical, which is indicated by a) the average score student worksheet enforceability in any learning activity that is 87.31 with very high criteria and b) the positive response of students (83.75%) against student worksheet. 2) effective, which is indicated by a) the student's activity during the study included in the active category, and b) there are significant differences in conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability between the experiment class and control class. Conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability are taught using student worksheet based on multiple representation the experimental class better than the control class.

This research aims to determine the content of comic science on the learning outcomes of class VIII students on human circulatory system material in SMP Negeri 7 Jember. The design of this study is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling technique. The sample chosen by the researcher was class VIII D as the experimental class, 37 students and class VIII E as the physical control class of 35 students. The instrument of this research is a test using 10 valid questions. The technique of analyzing the experimental and class classes using non-parametric statistical tests, namely the Wilcoxon test which is calculated by the SPSS 24 application, obtained a significance of 0.00 less than 0.05. The average score of post-test in experimental class was 85.37 out of 37 students while in the control class was 69 out of 35 students. The average N-gain results was 0.77 from 37 students in the experimental class and in the control class was  0.69 from 35 students. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that science comic influences the learning outcomes of eighth grade students on human circulatory system material in SMP Negeri 7 Jember. This research is motivated by the importance of mathematical reasoning abilities for primary school students. This research aims at looking at the effect of the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach on the enhancement of mathematical reasoning abilities of primary school students. This research method is a quasi-experiment with pre-test and post-test control group design in Mathematics subjects with the theme of data presentation. The research sample consisted of 121 fifth grade students in two primary schools in Bekasi Regency. The test and non-test instruments were involved in this research. The results revealed that there wasthe influence between the CPA approach and students' mathematical reasoning abilities, and the achievement and enhancement of mathematical reasoning abilities of students who got learning with the CPA approach werebetter than students who got conventional learning based on all student review and a category of Prior Mathematical Ability (PMA) high, moderate and low. In conclusion, the mathematical reasoning ability of primary school students can be improved by applying the CPA approach.

<p><strong>Abstrak: </strong>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal <em>HOTS</em> geometri. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Madiun pada 32 siswa kelas IX H tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Selanjutnya, dipilih satu subjek pada masing-masing kategori yaitu kemampuan penalaran matematis tinggi, kemampuan penalaran matematis sedang, dan kemampuan penalaran matematis rendah untuk dilakukan analisis data dengan melihat kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa berdasarkan indikator; mengajukan dugaan, melakukan manipulasi matematika, memberikan alasan atau bukti dan menarik kesimpulan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mempunyai kemampuan penalaran kategori rendahmenuliskan jawaban dengan tidak tepat dan hanya memenuhi indikator penalaran matematis pertama yakni mengajukan dugaan. Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan penalaran matematis kategori sedang menjawab soal kurang lengkap dan memenuhi dua indikator penalaran matematis; mengajukan dugaan dan menarik kesimpulan. Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan penalaran matematis kategori tinggi menuliskan jawaban dengan tepat, lengkap dan memenuhi semua indikator penalaran matematis: mengajukan dugaan, melakukan manipulasi matematika, memberikan alasan atau bukti dan menarik kesimpulan.</p><p><strong>Kata kunci:</strong> Penalaran matematis; Soal <em>HOTS</em>, Geometri</p><p><strong>Abstract</strong>: This study aims to describe students' mathematical reasoning abilities in solving geometric HOTS problem. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted at SMPN 1 Madiun on 32 students of class IX H for the 2020/2021 school year. Furthermore, one subject was selected in each category, namely high mathematical reasoning ability, medium mathematical reasoning ability, and low mathematical reasoning ability for data analysis by looking at students' mathematical reasoning abilities based on indicators; making conjectures, performing mathematical manipulations, providing reasons or evidence and drawing conclusions. Data collection techniques in this study used tests and interviews. The results of this study indicate that students who have low category reasoning abilities write answers incorrectly and only satisfy the first mathematical reasoning indicator, namely making conjectures. Students who have the medium category of mathematical reasoning write answer incomplete and satisfy two indicators of mathematical reasoning; making conjectures and drawing conclusions. Students who have high category mathematical reasoning abilities write answers accurately, completely and satisfy all indicators of mathematical reasoning: making conjectures, performing mathematical manipulations, providing reasons or evidence and drawing conclusions.</p><p><strong>Key words: </strong>Mathematical reasoning; HOTS Problem, Geometry<strong></strong></p>

The purpose of this study was to look at the effect of realistic mathematics learning on students 'reasoning abilities and to determine students' responses to mathematics learning with realistic mathematical approaches and their relation to mathematical reasoning abilities. This research was conducted at YPAK Galang of Junior High School at 2017/2018 Academic Year. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with the design of Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study was 64 students consisting of 32 students for the experimental group and 32 students for the control group. The data analysis technique used in this study is a regression test. Based on the calculation of hypothesis regression linearity test (i) Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected because F_count < F table is -44.40 < 1.88 then the regression form is linear, and for testing the significance of hypothesis regression (ii) Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected because of Fcount > Ftable that is 44.402 > 3.96 means that there is a relationship of variable (X) to varabel (Y). Data collection techniques in the form of a questionnaire consisting of 14 items statement. Based on the calculation of questionnaire data on students 'responses to realistic mathematical learning, the percentage of students' responses that stated yes was 75.38% and the percentage of responses that stated was not 24.62%. This shows that the student response questionnaire is positive.

The use of technology in the form of mathematics learning media has not been maximally applied amidst the rapid advances in technology today, coupled with a change in learning patterns from face-to-face in class to online learning patterns due to calls to work from home. This of course will have an impact on the learning outcomes of students. Seeing these conditions, innovation is needed in mathematics learning, namely by utilizing the use of media in learning, one of which is the use of audio-visual media assisted by google classroom. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of using audio-visual media assisted by google classroom on mathematics courses at STMIK STIKOM Indonesia. The research method used was a quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group design. The instrument used in this study was a mathematics learning outcome test. The data analysis technique in this research includes descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was an effect of the use of audio-visual media on mathematics learning outcomes with an average score of 76.00 mathematics learning outcomes which was declared significant so that learning using audio-visual media had an effect on mathematics learning outcomes.

The purpose of this research is to describe descriptively the interest and learning outcomes of the fourth-grade students of Singosaren Elementary School whose learning use pop-up media with the learning using picture media. The purpose of the study by comparative study of differences in interest and learning outcomes of science students in grade IV SD Singosaren whose learning uses pop-up media with those whose learning uses picture media. This type of research is quasi-experiment. The design in this study uses a nonequivalent control group design. data collection techniques using questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing using a t-test preceded by analysis prerequisite test, namely the homogeneity test of variance and the test for the normality of distribution. The results of the study descriptively showed that the tendency of interest in learning science that learning using pop-up media was very high with a mean score of 65,10 at intervals between 65 ≤  < 80 and learning using picture media was classified as high with an average score of 54,83 at intervals between 45 ≤  < 55. The tendency of science learning outcomes that learning using pop-up media is classified as high with an average score of 24,19 at intervals of 20,25 ≤  ≤ 27,00 and those learning using high media picture with an average of 18,67 at intervals of 15,75 ≤  ≤ 20,25.
