The objectives of this research are to find the reasons of the Private Vocational High School implementing the mangement of quality development to improve the competitive excellence, the factors of the success of the implementation of management of quality development, and the contributions of management of quality development in impoving the competitive excellence by using case study at three private vocational high school in Jambi of SMK S Yadika Kota Jambi, SMK S Attaufiq Kota Jambi and SMK S Dharma Bhakti 4 Kota Jambi. The results of this study show that the three SMK S show the implementation of management of quality development, therefore, they are able to compete. There is religion contents which is given and solid teamwork and responsibility. The factors of the success are able to improve the competitive excellence are a good management which is supported by qualified human resources, good relationship with the workplace, and well-planned policies. The contributions of quality development management towards the achievement that is achieved by the SMK S in improving the competitive excellence are the existence of the quality assurance which runs the responsibility and right well, management responsibility, determining work standard, and local and global excellence-based education. In conclusion, the implementation of management of quality development at SMKs  has been able to make the school has good quality that can increase the competitive excellence in Jambi province.

So far, in implementing school strategies, they tend not to utilize Information and Communication Technology (ICT), despite the availability of ICT resources available. Stages of strategic management are needed to generate the vision, mission, objectives, policy, program, budget, and procedures as well as control and evaluation process as an effort to utilize ICT to improve school quality. Based on the interpretation and the results of the study, it is concluded that schools have organized stages in strategic management that enable schools to have a quality profile. The impact of effective utilization of ICTs for schools is the achievement of effective school management, as per the National Education Standards, which is characterized by effective planning, implementation, control, and evaluation of school ICTs.The purpose of this study is to get a general description, describe, and reveal the Strategic Management of Information and Communication Technology Utilization to Improve the Quality of School Learning in Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational High School and Garut 1 Vocational High School, both on environmental analysis, strategic formulation, implementation and strategic evaluation. The research method used in this research is the case study method, because the problems studied occur in the place and situation of Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational School and Vocational High School 1 Garut. The use of case study models in this study is based on the consideration that to provide an overview of the strategic management activities of the use of ICTs carried out at vocational high schools with the ultimate goal of being able to improve the quality of school learning. Based on observations in the field of SMK 1 Garut and SMK Al Musaddadiyah Ciledug Garut is one of the public schools and private schools that have these advantages.

Starting from 2017, the management policy and education authority of Vocational High School in district region is taken over by the provincial government. In order to distribute the services to Vocational High School in several regions, the provincial government applies data service in online. To support online data service between the provincial education office and the Vocational High School in several regions, it is needed the supports of adequate IT infrastructure. The IT infrastructure components cover human resources and IT assets in form of hardware and software. To discover the maturity level of IT infrastructure in each Vocational High School, it is required analysis of IT human resources capability and IT asset owned. The research method used was COBIT 5 framework with a set of best practices which able to facilitate the management to assess and mitigate risks, as well as provide improvement recommendations. Subdomain focus used for evaluations and recommendations were APO07 and BAI09. The results obtained by capability level of each subdomain is at level 1 namely Performed Process that organization performs a process to achieve the purpose with improvement recommendations to Level 2 namely Managed Process.

The aims of this study is to find out and analyzed about students’ influences of Computer-assisted assessment (CAA) It is the case study and field research of one school in Nusa Dua Badung-Bali. The data sources chosen in this study were several high schools that carried out online examinations at Nusa Dua Vocational high school Bali-Indonesia. Data collection is done by random sampling from data sources, observation, interviews, recording, and note taking. Distribution of questionnaires was also carried out to strengthen data analysis. Data is analyzed based on the formulation of the problem and the study of theory that has been, then analyzed in qualitative description. The descriptive study used paper-based surveys and interviews for data collection. To obtain information about the students’ influences of Computer-assisted assessment (CAA). Based on our review and study result, there are some influences that found. The Computer-assisted assessment (CAA) systematics is held with the aim that students become more critical and independent in solving the questions given.

The purpose of this study is to know, to describe, and to analyze the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in the vocational high school (SMK) majoring in hotel accommodation program skill. The research method used in this research is the qualitative method. This method is intended to know deeply in the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in SMK. This research started with the observation of edupreneurship activity through teaching factory at SMK N 6 Yogyakarta. The data was collected by conducting in-depth interviews with informants who are directly involved in edupreneurship activities. The result of this research is the implementation of edupreneurship through teaching factory in terms of learning, there is commitment and basic principle which run by the school but not yet optimal. There are still significant obstacles, especially related to the work culture that is applied not in accordance with the procedures of business and industry (DUDI), educators who have not understood the culture of DUDI, facilities, and infrastructure that do not meet the DUDI standards, the cooperation between SMK and DUDI is still weak, and the regulation of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) which requires the use of state-owned goods as a form of state income.

Religious character of students in state vocational high school 1 Dukuhturi Tegal was build of Sholat Dhuha habituation. As a social control, the teachers give a pin “not allow me” to lazzy students in Sholat Dhuha habituation and also give reward mukenah for diligent students. This qualitative research using case study aimed to find out the effectiveness of social control religious character’s student in state vocational high school 1 Dukuhturi Tegal. Data validation was carried out using data source triangulation. Technique of analyzing data used integrated data resulting from the observation of Sholat Dhuha habituation, interview, and documentation from many sources to support information. The theory employed was Talcot Parsons’s Theory with AGIL Concept. The results of research showed that the students doing Sholat Dhuha is not only they afraid of the punishment but they also have a spiritual needs. Religious character habituation doing by obedient attitude in Islam, dicipline, tolerant, and honestly in aqidah subject. This habituation need supports all of school element so that the students have a good religious character.Karakter religius peserta didik SMK N 1 Dukuhturi dibina dengan membiasakan Sholat Dhuha. Sebagai kontrol sosial, Guru menerapkan hukuman berupa penempelan pin bertuliskan “jangan tiru aku” bagi yang tidak rajin melaksanakan dan pemberian penghargaan berupa mukenah bagi yang rajin melaksanakan. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kontrol sosial dalam pembinaan karakter religius peserta didik muslim SMK N 1 Dukuhturi. Validitas data diperoleh dengan cara triangulasi sumber data. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan data hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap kepala sekolah, guru, dan peserta didik kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teori Fungsionalisme Struktural Talcott Parsons. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik melaksanakan Sholat Dhuha tidak hanya karena ada hukuman dan penghargaan tapi muncul rasa kebutuhan spiritual. Pembinaan karakter religius yang dilakukan adalah sikap dan perilaku patuh dalam melaksanakan ajaran agama Islam, disiplin, toleran, dan jujur melalui pembelajaran akidah. Pembiasaan Sholat Dhuha baru dilaksanakan dengan maksimal oleh beberapa wali kelas; Butuh dukungan dari seluruh warga sekolah agar bisa menjadi sebuah pembinaan karakter religius yang kuat. Dampaknya masih banyak peserta didik di kelas lain yang belum memiliki rasa kebutuhan spiritual.Keywords: Social Control, Religius Character, Muslims Students, State Vocational High School

The most preferred tools of technology today are internet and smart phones. Nowadays, these two tools offer numerous services and facilities to humanity in many areas. Accessing technology at any time, having a pleasant time, interacting without the limitations of face to face communication are some of them. That is why; individuals have become unable to live without internet and smartphones. Especially the rapid developments in information and communication technologies, internet and social media media, which is among the means of access to smart phones among university students and has made widespread use. In this context, a case study was conducted in order to examine the opinions of the students about the use of smart phones in Vocational High School students. For this purpose, the students' opinions were taken with a structured interview form. The questions in the interview form were developed by the researchers by conducting a comprehensive literature review. Expert opinion was consulted in the preparation of the interview form. The experts evaluated the suitability of the questions in terms of scope and language. The study group consisted of 10 students from the Department of Computer Programming and Computer Technology of Kafkas University. It is foreseen that the results of the research can lead to future scientific studies.

The research objective was to determine of Industrial Internship consisting of planning, organizing, actuating, controling and monitoring.This is a qualitative research by employing a case study method which was conducted at public vocational senior high school (SMK Negeri 5) Makassar from April 2013 to September 2016. Interviews, document review, and direct observation were taken for data collection while the validity of the data was measured by using triangulation of source and technique. For data analysis, the stages of reduction, data display, and conclusion were used. The results show that 1) Planning of Industrial Internship has not been implemented optimally; such as curriculum validation and mapping the business and industrial were not well-conducted by the school; 2) Organizing aspects of industrial internship were less than optimal implemented, such as arranging of Industrial Internship committee was not equipped clearly with the structuring of tasks, job descriptions and distribution of authority. In addition, appointment of school instructur is simply to accommodate the interests of educators with the principle of equity not competency; 3) In actuating aspect, learning by doing and learning by experience were not optimal since the location of industrial internship did not meet the school’s need; 4) Controlling and monitoring Industrial Internship were not optimal as well since the teachers as instructors did not control the students’ activities continously. To sum up, the industrial internship conducted in vocational high school must obtain serious attention by the school, industry and government as to improve the students’ knowledge and skills. Additionally, the school, industry and government are required to collaborate and synergize optimally for the sake of students’ improvement.

To face of an increasingly strong and competitive Globalization Era, implementing MMT at schools is very important for the long-term success of school organizations and is a source of excellence in order to create performance and productivity towards achieving continuous Quality Management. The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the application of MMT at Samarinda State Vocational High School in an effort to improve school quality management, (2) the level of achievement of Integrated Quality Management (MMT) at Samarinda State Vocational School in an effort to improve school quality management, (3) which was an obstacle to Integrated Quality Management (MMT) at Samarinda State Vocational High School in an effort to improve school quality management. This study uses a qualitative descriptive design. The interview guide is used to explore information about the application, level of achievement and factors that become obstacles to Integrated Quality Management (MMT) at SMK Negeri 7 Samarinda. The results showed that: (1) the application of MMT to Samarinda State Vocational High School seven had been implemented and went well, (2) the level of achievement of MMT at Vocational High School seven had shown good results with increasing students, increasing educator HR, good quality of facilities and infrastructure, as well as a conducive work and learning environment, (3) Factors that become obstacles to the application of MMT to Vocational High School seven are the use of technology that is not maximized for some teachers, there are still some internal parties lacking commitment in quality assurance, learning methods, and lack of discipline of teachers in teaching. It can be concluded that the results of the research on the implementation of MMT in Samarinda State Vocational High School 7 Kalimantan through the implementation of MMT found an increase in performance and school quality assurance.

Students will be left behind in technological developments unless teachers in vocational schools constantly update their technical skills. One of such developments that is widely applied in the industry is the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) application. This service aimed to share knowledge about SCADA technology with students of the Mambaul Ulum Vocational High School, Gresik in preparation for their entry into the industrial world. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' knowledge and mastery of Arduino which functions as a SCADA. This is further proven by the participants’ ability to solve the given case study.
