The more advanced the technology and the greater the community's need to carry out activities every day, the number of vehicles on the highway is getting crowded. From year to year, the greater the level of traffic accidents caused by many factors, among the usual reasons is the loss of awareness of the driver when driving a vehicle especially drowsiness. One of the drowsiness parameters is the frequency eye blinks. Therefore, to get the drowsiness symptoms, the purpose of this research is to detect the eye blinks, which in turn reduce the level of accidents by detecting sleepy eyes based on digital image processing. The method used to detect both eyes is the Viola-Jones method. The detection of both eyes can also acquire the duration of closed eyes and the number of eye blinks. A person can be said to be sleepy by means of sleepiness parameters determined by a study. The research shows that detection of eye blinks using the Viola-Jones method has a fairly high accuracy of up to 84.72% if the face condition is upright and tilted no more than 45 degrees. Another conclusion is that eye detection and driver detection are more effective at certain light intensity values which are around 2-33 lux.

The internal structure analysis of radial tires is of great significance to improve vehicle safety and during tire research. In order to perform the digital analysis and detection of the internal composition in radial tire cross-sections, a detection method based on digital image processing was proposed. The research was carried out as follows: (a) the distribution detection and parametric analysis of the bead wire, steel belt, and carcass in the tire section were performed by means of digital image processing, connected domain extraction, and Hough transform; (b) using the angle of location distribution and area relationship, the detection data were optimized through coordinate and quantity relationship constraints; (c) a detection system for tire cross-section components was designed using the MATLAB platform. Our experimental results showed that this method displayed a good detection performance, and important practical significance for the research and manufacture of tires.

Object detection is a topic widely studied by the scientists as a special study in image processing. Although applications of this topic have been implemented, but basically this technology is not yet mature, futher research is needed to developed to obtain the desired result. The aim of the present study is to detect cigarette objects on video by using the Viola Jones method (Haar Cascade Classifier). This method known to have speed and high accuracy because of combining some concept (Haar features, integral image, Adaboost, and Cascade Classifier) to be a main method to detect objects. In this research, detection testing of cigarettes object is in samples of video with the resolution 160x120 pixels, 320x240 pixels, 640x480 pixels under condition of on 1 cigarette object and condition 2 cigarettes object. The result of this research indicated that percentage of average accuracy highest 93.3% at condition 1 cigarette object and 86,7% in the condition 2 cigarette object that was detected on the video with resolution 640x480 pixels, while the percentage of accuracy lowest 90% at condition 1cigarette object, and 81,7% at the condition 2 cigarette objects, detected on the video with the lowest resolution 160x120 pixels. The percentage of average errors at detection cigarettes object was inversely with percentage of accuracy. So that the detection system is able to better recognize the object of the cigarette, then the number of samples in the database needs to be improved and able to represent various types of cigarettes under various conditions and can be added new parameters related to cigarette object

The circle-end-face centering device which is in the base of image processing accomplishes the center of the cylinders end face by digital image processing. Through edge extraction and doing the matching in the calculation of the least square method, the coordinate of the central of the circle can be calculated. At last, the drill will be moved to the central of the circle and do the punching by the actuator. This equipment is in the high accuracy and speed compared with the traditional way and the concentric circle laser of marking with the center. Meanwhile, the actuator consists of the programmable logic controller, touch panel and servo drivers which is in the high stability and accuracy. Certainly it is easy to be controlled by the method.

In this paper, a novel method to measure the footprint pattern of a vehicle tire and its pressure distribution will be put forward. The measurement principle will be presented. The automatic digital image processing methods of the footprint pattern and pressure distribution images, which are used to characterize the footprint pattern, are described. Especially, a novel envelope curve calculation algorithm for finding a pattern boundary is introduced. The experimental results have shown that the methods mentioned in the paper are of robustness and high accuracy.

In order to reduce the incidence of traffic accidents, it did detailed analysis and further research on fatigue detection system.this system include face detection, eye detection, eye tracking. During the eye detection, it proposed a new approach based on Kalman filtering and dynamic template. And then it did experiments on the detection rate, the PERCLOSs numerical value and the speed. Experiment results show that the detection results can meet the demand of practice. It turns out that this system can meet the demand of basic practice, has an extensive application field.

Lately, many of the road accidents have been attributed to the driver stupor. Statistics revealed that about 32% of the drivers who met with such accidents demonstrated the symptoms of tiredness before the mishap though at varying levels. The purpose of this research paper is to revisit the various interventions that have been devised to provide for assistance to the vehicle users to avert unwarranted contingencies on the roads. The paper tries to make a sincere attempt to encapsulate the body of work that has been initiated so far in this direction. As is evident, there are numerous ways in which one can identify the fatigue of the driver, namely biotic or physiological gauges, vehicle type and more importantly the analysis of the face in terms of its alignment and other attributes.

The quality of farmed shrimps has several criteria, one of which is shrimp size. The shrimp selection was carried out by the contractor at the harvest time by grouping the shrimp based on their size. This study aims to apply digital image processing for shrimp clustering based on size using the connected component analysis (CCA) and density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) methods. Shrimp group images were taken with a digital camera at a light intensity of 1200-3200 lux. The clustering results were compared with clustering from direct observation by two experts, each of which obtained an accuracy of 79.81 % and 72.99 % so that the average accuracy of the method was 76.4 %.
