The study presents the result of a pedagogical experiment conducted on the basis of a school and the analysis of empirical data obtained during its implementation. During the pedagogical experiment, the testing method was used – this is a psychological verbal-communicative method in which a specially designed list of questions test is used as a means to collect information from the respondent. The paper presents the result of mathematical processing of empirical data obtained during the pedagogical experiment using the Mann-Whitney U-test. Separately, it is noted that the relevance of information socialization of youth is determined by the complexity of the modern Russian social situation.

In recent years a debate about the possibilities of left wing populism in Germany occurred. Based on own empirical findings about how workers deal with different situations of precarious work this contribution argues, that such a populist project is not only possible but necessary. It is a popular diagnosis among scholars of industrial relations, that the precarisation of work is limiting the possibilities for solidarity and collective action among workers. But as empirical data shows also new perceptions of injustice are arising, which could be used as a starting point for union politics. In the following two different frames of interpretation are reconstructed, which workers apply in order to handle their social situation. Although not without contradictions each entails potentials for a progressive left wing populism. In order to engage with these potentials, it is argued, activists of an antagonistic left should start building a political project, whose possible populist elements are outlined in the conclusions.

The paper deals with the analysis of one of the most important and always relevant social phenomena called social inequality, which is viewed through the prism of youth ideas about the forms of its manifestation and features. The authors present the results of a sociological study aimed at identifying the attitude of modern Russian youth to the problem of social inequality in general, as well as the diversification of its forms in the modern world and in Russia. The study was conducted in 2020 by professors of the Sociological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University under the direction of Doctor of Sociological Sciences Professor N.G. Osipova and Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor S.O. Elishev with the Financial support of the RFBR, within the framework of the project No. 18-011-01106 “New forms of social inequality and the peculiarities of their manifestation in modern Russia”.In the course of the study in the summer of 2020, 628 young people (aged 16 to 30) from different regions of Russia were interviewed using the online questionnaire survey method. The distribution of respondents by gender and occupation corresponds to the parameters of graduates of humanitarian universities. 28% of young people surveyed were males, and 72% were females. 9% of the respondents (that is, more than half of them) were young people aged 20 to 24 years, 24,84% — from 16 to 19 years old, 12,26% — from 25 to 30 years old.The research methodology (which is based on the questionnaire) was in many ways similar to the methodology used by the authors in 2019 to analyze the value orientations and perceptions of student youth in Moscow universities. This  methodology was supplemented with new blocks of questions related to the peculiarities and specifics of the manifestation in Russia of such relatively new forms of social inequality as digital divide and inequality in health. The questions to which the answers were received were of both general and specific nature and, in general, reflected the key trends in the attitude of young people to the problem of social inequality in the conditions of the complex social situation that developed in 2020 in all respects. A detailed analysis of the answers to the questions presented in the questionnaire showed that, although social inequality is recognized by modern Russian youth as an urgent social problem, it does not occupy a key place among the topical problems for Russian youth.

Introduction. The real situation in the economic, political and educational spheres hinders the development of intellectual and professional resources of technical intelligentsia. The purpose of the study is to identify objective conditions and subjective factors that determine the labor activity of modern Russian technical intelligentsia as a personnel basis for socio-economic changes and innovative transformations in the country. Materials and Methods. Official statistics and legislative acts were used as the materials for an analysis of the objective conditions. The methodological principles of historicism and socio-historical continuity, the methods of mathematical statistics were applied. When interpreting subjective factors, the empirical data obtained using the methods of the mass survey “Modernization of the Economy and Technical Intelligentsia” and the expert survey “Innovative Activity of Technical Intelligentsia” were examined. The surveys made it possible to reveal technical intelligentsia’s opinion – an assessment of current events in terms of adaptation to market relations and crises of recent years, job satisfaction, material remuneration for one’s work, value orientations. Results. The study made it possible to identify the objective conditions (the economic situation of the country, the state of institutions of education, etc.) and the subjective factors (the degree and level of labor adaptation of technical intelligentsia to the ongoing socio-economic transformations of recent decades, job satisfaction, etc.) that characterize modern Russian technical intelligentsia. The performed analysis of these conditions and factors indicates the difficulties for implementing a large-scale innovative breakthrough both in Russia’s economy and society as a whole. Discussion and Conclusion. Modern objective conditions determining the development of technical intelligentsia do not contribute to the completion of its traditional social mission – to be the pillar of scientific, technological and innovative transformations. The article is of practical importance for government agencies at various levels, for public organizations working to improve policies in the field of innovation in industry, science and education. Empirical data can be used for further scientific interpretations, as well as for diagnostics and advice on targeted support to enterprises and organizations in the productive sector.
