AbstractSo far, management research on mechanisms of exclusion of employee groups has mainly applied constructs of racism to understanding issues of origin-based ostracism. This research has primarily focused on issues faced by employees whose heritage is markedly different from the heritage shared by the norm group in the given socio-cultural, linguistic, and geographical setting. Against this backdrop, the present study investigates how ostracism plays out when the heritages involved are similar, as exemplified by German employees in Austria. Study 1 examines the discursive production of Austrian stereotyping of Germans in the usage of different terms of reference for ‘Germans’ in Austrian discourse. A corpus analysis of online comments on newspaper sites highlights the implicit Austrian need for delineation against Germany. Study 2 analyzes Germans’ perception of Austrians’ exclusionary linguistic practices and how this impacts on their employment experience and turnover intention. A quantitative analysis of survey data from 600 German nationals employed in Austria reveals that the degree of exposure to these demarcating practices is associated with lower job satisfaction, a higher burnout level and an increase in turnover intention. This study is amongst the first to shed light on the central role of nationalism and national identities in organizational mechanisms of exclusion.

This article aims at analysing the financial and organizational mechanisms of the third sector, namely the non-profit organisations (NPOs) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). In addition, it focuses on the sustainable development of non-profit and non-governmental organizations. The paper shows that in order to achieve sustainable development and embark upon the path of the “green economy”, NPOs and NGOs need to apply effective financial and organisational mechanisms that would also coincide with their regional priorities and socio-economic objectives that would take into account the environmental specifics and priorities of the given region. The article draws various examples and case studies from various countries and regions around the world to prove its points and provide some guidelines for relevant stakeholders and regulators.

Today, the fuel and energy complex (FEC) is the basis of Russian economy. It includes the most dynamically developing industries, such as petrochemical, oil refining, etc., associated with the production, transportation and processing of various fuels, as well as industries engaged in the production and distribution of electricity: thermal engineering, hydropower engineering and nuclear power engineering. The nomenclature of FEC centrifugal pumps includes a wide list of names: singleand multistage centrifugal pumps of low, medium and high pressure for clean water, water with impurities and various aggressive media [1, 2], pumps for oil production and transportation (trunk, booster, electric centrifugal production pumps, pumps for pumping leaks, etc.) and special pumps used in oil refining (cracking, cantilever chemical, etc.) [3]. The development of technical solutions aimed at improving energy efficiency as well as reliability and durability is one of the trends in the development of centrifugal pumps FEC that are most widely covered in engineering literature [4.9]. Along with this, reducing the complexity and cost of production of these pumps due to the automation of the design process remain just as important. In the given article, questions of development of a method of automated profiling of components of flow passage of centrifugal pumps for needs of FEC are considered. The description of the proposed method and the results of its approbation on the example of profiling of the flow passage of the impeller of the centrifugal cantilever chemical pump AH 12.5/50 are presented. Comparison with other known methods is carried out. The estimation of time costs for design works is carried out. It has been found that the automated profiling of the flow passage of the impeller according to the presented method took 720 times less time than manual profiling using conventional methods.

The Results of the studies indicate that in 45.44% of cows-the initial duration of the third period of genera was more than 9 hours, and in cows of the second - third lactation only in 27.28% of animals. Morphometry indicators of a body mass of newborns calves and placenta show the conditions of growth and development of fetal, which are connected with functional activity of the feto-placental complex and on average, the body weight of the calves of the first subgroups (animals derived from cows with the duration of the third period of genera up to six hours) proved by20.80%-21.20% more than the calves of the fourth subgroups. Below the mass proved and placenta of calves, fourth subgroups (in 1.25 by Times – 1.18 by Times, (P < 0.05), compared to this indicator of the first subgroups of calves. Increased activity of the factors of hemostasis and rheology of blood is set in animals in which the duration of time of the third period of genera was up to 12 and more hours. Under these conditions, the viscosity of animal blood in 1.39-1.40 by Times, (P < 0.05) and 1.30-1.40 by times (P < 0.05), the content of Fibrinogen in 2,47-2,04 by Times<0.01). The given data indirectly indicate the increase of blood viscosity, reduction of its blood flow, especially in the capillary system vessels.  In our opinion, this is the cause of the birth of animals with low viability as evidenced by the coefficients of the catabolism factor, oxygenic homeostasis, samples of Mack Klur Aldrich, "immature" surfactant system. Recovery of the reproductive function of cows after calving and duration service period in animals of the first subgroups was in 1.17 – 1.14 by times shorter than in cows of the fourth subgroups

Space Lab 3 (SL-3) was flown on Shuttle Challenger providing an opportunity to measure the effect of spaceflight on rat testes. Cannon developed the idea that organisms react to unfavorable conditions with highly integrated metabolic activities. Selye summarized the manifestations of physiological response to nonspecific stress and he pointed out that atrophy of the gonads always occurred. Many papers have been published showing the effects of social interaction, crowding, peck order and confinement. Flickinger showed delayed testicular development in subordinate roosters influenced by group numbers, social rank and social status. Christian reported increasing population size in mice resulted in adrenal hypertrophy, inhibition of reproductive maturation and loss of reproductive function in adults. Sex organ weights also declined. Two male dogs were flown on Cosmos 110 for 22 days. Fedorova reported an increase of 30 to 70% atypical spermatozoa consisting of tail curling and/or the absence of a tail.

Abstract. The Thematic Apperception Test is one of the most frequently administered apperceptive techniques. Formal scoring systems are helpful in evaluating story responses. TAT stories, made by 20 males and 20 females in the situation of legal divorce proceedings, were coded for detection and comparison of their personal problem solving ability. The evaluating instrument utilized was the Personal Problem Solving System-Revised (PPSS-R) as developed by G. F. Ronan. The results indicate that in relation to card 1, men more often than women saw the cause of the problem as removable. With card 6GF, women were more motivated to resolve the given problem than were men, women had a higher personal control and their stories contained more optimism compared to men’s stories. In relation to card 6BM women, more often than men, used emotions generated from the problem to orient themselves within the problem. With card 13MF, the men’s level of stress was less compared to that of the women, and men were more able to plan within the context of problem-solving. Significant differences in the examined groups were found in those cards which depicted significant gender and parental potentials. The TAT can be used to help identify personality characteristics and gender differences.

A basic concept for the automatic diagnosis of histo-pathological specimen is presented. The algorithm is based on tissue structures of the original organ. Low power magnification was used to inspect the specimens. The form of the given tissue structures, e. g. diameter, distance, shape factor and number of neighbours, is measured. Graph theory is applied by using the center of structures as vertices and the shortest connection of neighbours as edges. The algorithm leads to two independent sets of parameters which can be used for diagnostic procedures. First results with colon tissue show significant differences between normal tissue, benign and malignant growth. Polyps form glands that are twice as wide as normal and carcinomatous tissue. Carcinomas can be separated by the minimal distance of the glands formed. First results of pattern recognition using graph theory are discussed.

The contribution of a special library project to a computerized problem-oriented medical information system (PROMIS) is discussed. Medical information displays developed by the PROMIS medical staff are accessible to the health care provider via touch screen cathode terminals. Under PROMIS, members of the library project developed two information services, one concerned with the initial building of the medical displays and the other with the updating of this information. Information from 88 medical journals is disseminated to physicians involved in the building of the medical displays. Articles meeting predetermined selection criteria are abstracted and the abstracts are made available by direct selective dissemination or via a problem-oriented abstract file. The updating service involves comparing the information contained in the selected articles with the computerized medical displays on the given topic. Discrepancies are brought to the attention of PROMIS medical staff members who evaluate the information and make appropriate changes in the displays. Thus a feedback loop is maintained which assures the completeness, accuracy, and currency of the computerized medical information. The development of this library project and its interface with the computerized health care system thus attempts to deal with the problems in the generation, validation, dissemination, and application of medical literature.
