Incidence and prevalence of infected Covid-19 are still rampant in the West and the most countries throughout world from 2020 to 2021. Although the incidence of infected Covid-19 in the developed countries has decreased down by the popular vaccination, it is still anxiety and worry to make more serious widespread from the variated coronavirus. It is a rigorous fact that there still are higher on the mortality to the seniors, special seniors who are resided at nursing homes. For seniors, the infected Coronavirus may product them a disastrous attack according to their pre-existing diseases, complication accompanied with Covid-19, and post-syndromes caused by Covid-19. Their Covid-19 may be more complex, more serious, harder to find a fast and effective therapies and easier to become to the post-syndromes which will make a bad influence to the quality of life in the rest of their life. TCM focuses to individual case, and pay attention more for their pre-existing diseases, complication with Covid-19, and possibility of post-syndrome’s production while some anti-coronavirus herbs are prescribed, so a more fixed prescription is made. In this clinical trial, the author classified 60 cases into two groups: over 45 years old as the observing group and under of 44 years old as the contrasted group, incidences on pre-existing diseases, complication and post-syndromes are observed separately; their results after treated by Chinese medical herbs are also observed. We recognize from these observation and analysis TCM treatment can significantly stabilized pre-existing diseases, treat complication together and prevent the post-syndromes’ occurrence while is treating to Coronavirus. TCM is a suitable treating choice to Senior with Covid-19.

The single greatest challenge facing managers in the developed countries of the world is to raise the productivity of knowledge and service workers. This challenge, which will dominate the management agenda for the next several decades, will ultimately determine the competitive performance of companies. Even more important, it will determine the very fabric of society and the quality of life of every industrialized nation. … Unless this challenge is met, the developed world will face increasing social tensions, increasing polarization, increasing radicalization, possibly even class war.

We have been waging a battle to improve the quality of life in the developing world for twenty-five years. Today this battle is being lost. As the world's military powers seek to reduce the risks of nuclear holocaust, new dangers to political and economic stability have arisen. The threat of widespread famine is on the increase. Fertilizer shortages grow, and the affluent continue to consume a disproportionate amount of the world's food resources. Worldwide inflation continues to take a heavy toll on the developing and the developed countries alike. This erodes political stability and depletes what little hard currency the poor nations have amassed.

The accelerated growth of the percentage of elder people and persons with brain injury-related conditions and who are intellectually challenged are some of the main concerns of the developed countries. These persons often require special cares and even almost permanent overseers that help them to carry out diary tasks. With this issue in mind, we propose an automated schedule system which is deployed on a social robot. The robot keeps track of the tasks that the patient has to fulfill in a diary basis. When a task is triggered, the robot guides the patient through its completion. The system is also able to detect if the steps are being properly carried out or not, issuing alerts in that case. To do so, an ensemble of deep learning techniques is used. The schedule is customizable by the carers and authorized relatives. Our system could enhance the quality of life of the patients and improve their self-autonomy. The experimentation, which was supervised by the ADACEA foundation, validates the achievement of these goals.

Human nature is inevitably concerned with the past which, for nations no less than for individuals, forms a framework for present attitudes and sometimes a justification for present actions. In the developed countries of the West this framework is easily and frequently obscured, although its presence can be readily demonstrated. For those nations which have, until recently, been controlled by one or other of the European powers, however, the past provides a framework to which national appeal is often made in a particularly explicit way.

An attempt is made in this paper to consider first the current nutritional scene with its problems, and then to suggest strategies for improvement. Since the quality of people’s diets everywhere is influenced by many different factors, not least by availability of food, a bility to pay for it, and some (however basic) understanding of its effects upon health, a strong plea is made for consideration to be given to those most in need of nutritional help—the least advantaged and least motivated groups in the developed countries, as well as the poor in the Third World. Some strategies aimed at improving nutrition behaviour are outlined.

IntroductionIt is generally accepted that depression, affecting the quality of life, is a serious and common complication in patients with cancer. Given that there is no integrated study on this topic in Iran, the present study sought to investigate the prevalence of depression in patients with cancer by a systematic review and meta-analysis.MethodsTo meet the study objectives, all English and Persian papers published from 2000 to January 2018 were systematically collected and the data were extracted for analysis.ResultsThere were 14 studies which were selected on the basis of the inclusion and exclusion criteria. A total number of 2831 patients with cancer had participated in the studies. The prevalence of depression among Iranian patients with cancer was 35% (95% CI 16% to 70%) based on random effects model. Among various types of cancer, the highest prevalence of depression appeared to patients suffering from breast cancer.ConclusionThe prevalence of depression among patients with cancer in Iran was higher than the developed countries. As depression affects the quality of life of patients with cancer, the results can help policymakers and service providers in planning to reduce the prevalence of depression.

Sleep is an important physiological condition necessary for human health and well-being. Various types of sleep disorders adversely affect mental health and quality of life of a person, and are a risk factor for the onset or aggravation of existing diseases. According to the international classification of sleep disorders, it is customary to distinguish six main categories: insomnia, breathing disorders during sleep, central disorders of hypersomnia, parasomnias, movement disorders during sleep, and circadian rhythm sleep disorders. [1]. Given such a variety of sleep disorders, we are faced with a large number of nosologies and specialties that are involved in the process of diagnosing and treating these patients. Literature data indicate a direct connection between sleep disorders and problems of the cardiovascular, respiratory, neuroendocrine systems. This group of patients is treated by specialists in various fields of medicine - from dentists and otorhinolaryngologists to psychiatrists and neurologists. The relevance of this topic is beyond doubt, since according to literature data in modern society up to 50% of the world's population face problems associated with sleep disorders. In the past 30 years, this nosology has received a lot of attention in the developed countries of the world, however, sleep disorders still remain an acute problem affecting the quality of life and health of mankind.

It is the second most common form of disability and although it affects men and women, women are more likely to be symptomatic. Osteoarthritis is projected to rank second for women and fourth for men in the developed countries in terms of years lived with disability. Elderly patients are most often affected and because the number of individuals over the age of 50 years is expected to double worldwide between 1990 and 2020, the global burden of osteoarthritis will increase dramatically in the near future. The contribution of Polish technical thought to the quality of life in developed countriesDue to the fact that technological progress is an important factor influencing the quality of life, the purpose of the paper is to determine what is the contribution — measured by the number of inventions — of mobile Poles to increasing the quality of life of their host countries. The paper considers two fundamental questions: 1 how many inventions, including area of technology, Poles generate for the benefit of countries which they emigrate to and 2 what part of the inventive output of the host countries, including the area of technology, are inventions created by immigrants from Poland. The paper uses the method of quantitative and qualitative analysis of patent applications made in the years 2004–2012 within the frames of international procedure by residents from developed economies of Europe, the United States and Japan a total of 9 countries, which has made it possible to: 1 separate those applications in the case of which the creator of the technical solution is an immigrant from Poland and 2 determine the number of inventions created abroad by Poles for the benefit of their countries of destination. The study involves individuals exceptionally endowed with high human capital who have especially contributed to technological changes occurring in the world, i.e. creators of inventions filed for patent protection within the frames of international procedure — The Patent Cooperation Treaty — who at the time of making the applications lived in the developed countries covered by the study and came from Poland. The analysis of over 1700 PCT patent applications has made it possible to say that in the years 2004–2012: 1 Poles to the largest extent contributed to increasing the quality of life of Americans, for whom they created a total of 828 inventions, then Germans and Britons, whose inventive output they increased by 425 and 143 inventions, respectively, while their contribution to the improvement of the quality of life of the Japanese, Swedes or Finns was very small; 2 Poles to the largest extent contributed to increasing the quality of life of the inhabitants of developed countries by generating inventions in the following areas of technology: a chemistry; metallurgy and b human necessities. Starting from 2009, the creative activity of immigrants from Poland is less and less related to the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants of their economies of destination.
