The article discusses the issues of implementing the conversion of input signals of «smart» sensors for automation of the heating system, an algorithm for calculating the parameters of measuring circuits with a nonlinear element and an operational amplifier is developed. The issues of modeling cascade control of residential building heating systems are investigated. The results of the analysis and selection of parameters of the cascade control system are presented. An algorithm implementing the operation of a virtual object is given. The structures of management of residential building objects are proposed. The method of calculating the adjustment of the controller for cascade control is given. For the heating system stand, the procedure for setting the parameters of the process of PID control of the coolant temperature is considered. The results confirming the achievability of the proposed structural changes are obtained. The results of experimental studies are presented.

Currently, the construction sector is facing requirements for higher quality and efficiency standards as well as objectives related to value creation. In construction, rational decision-making problems often involve creating a unique complex of criteria, which must consider multiple requirements and conditions. The paper presents the developed model for the selection of multi-layered external walls of a residential building. The model considers the following aspects and parameters: time, cost, quality, environmental conditions, aspects of sustainable development, and problemsolving benefits received from the assessment of alternatives and the development of the model. Game theory was used to calculate the defining rational decision. For the calculations was used game theory: Bayes, Wald’s rule, Savage criterion, Laplace’s rule. This study presents the developed model for the selection of multi-layered external walls of a residential building and calculation results based on game-theory rules, which are effective tools for rational decisionmaking.

Energy saving of buildings in our country started from 90’s,which is so late that remaining at a low level .Although certain success has been achieved ,architecture reconstruction moves slowly on the whole ,especially for residential buildings. One of the reasons for this situation is lacking of money for energy saving reconstruction .Considering the enormous number of energy saving reconstruction buildings with the limited funds ,human resource and material resource, it is necessary to make a selection before the reconstruction ,weeding out the projects that are too poor to reconstruct in safety, functionality and energy-saving reconstruction, as well as the ones that have good energy saving performance and meet the energy efficiency design standards, which aren’t built for ages. The key point is to choose the existing buildings which are in urgent need of transformation in performance, economically rational and have feasible technic proceeding in batches with plans. Meanwhile, the reconstruction should use appropriate technology, combining with local climate characteristics.

Experimental measurements of actual hot water consumption in residential building have been performed. It was established that distribution of hot water for domestic needs has random character and constitutes non-stationary process. It was proposed for hot water supply systems calculation to employ “rated mode of water consumption”. Rated mode is a simplified mathematical description of entire ordered collection of hourly consumptions anticipated during rated period of hot water supply system operation. Most precise description of water consumption rated mode may be obtained with coefficient of general hourly discontinuity at 98% coverage. Selection of hot water metering devices for residential house requires that operating flow rate of water meter should correspond by maximum to residential building water consumption parameters. Methods of calculation of daily water volumes passing through water meter at flow rates lower than transient flow rate value for the specified device were proposed.

We introduce a mixed-methods approach to assess the impact of a complex development program on stability and present a selection of relevant results on stabilization dynamics and possible program-related impacts. The program is implemented by an international nongovernmental organization and combines capacity building with infrastructure development at the district level in North Afghanistan. We develop a working definition of stability and define context-relevant stabilization indicators. We then analyze how various stabilization indicators relate to each other and observe how they change over time. Finally, we analyze how proxies for program activity relate to the stabilization dynamics observed. At this stage, the data analysis is exploratory, and the results are illustrative rather than definite in regard to the success or failure of the stabilization program. [JEL codes: D74, O53]

In the time of environmental threats and energy crises, sustainable development has become the main strategy of high and medium-developed countries. In construction, unconventional buildings materials used for the construction of the walls, are increasingly widespread in the construction of small single-family houses. This paper aim is to obtaining an optimal unconventional wall building materials. The selection of an optimal solution follows using multi-criteria decision making methods. The optimal solution was a brick made of paper pulp. The conceptual design of a residential building was designed for the most advantageous solution.

During the use of buildings it becomes necessary to carry out repair works including modernisation. Deciding on the choice of repair solutions is a difficult and complex task. Building administrators have to consider both, the benefits of some repair works, and limitations due to the availability of funds. Selection of a repair solution, bearing in mind the above, requires a comprehensive approach that will allow assessment of the building condition and determining the repair scope required. The research conducted by the authors was aimed at developing a decision-making model and its computer-aided implementation, taking into account a number of operating demands. The system algorithm proposed comprises five stages including: building condition assessment, building use value evaluation, repair classification, multiple variants of repair and the choice of repair solutions. The article describes individual stages of the model in detail, giving numerical application examples of the method for repair solution choice for five multi-family houses.

On the basis of data provided by the Department of architecture and urban planning of the city of Rostov-on-don, the problem of the choice of the territory for complex development that will be in priority for the construction of high-rise and unique buildings is solved. The objective of the study was the development of a methodology for selection of the area and the implementation of the proposed method on the example of evaluation of four-territories complex development. The developed method along with standard indicators of complex evaluation considers additional indicators that assess the territory from the position of high-rise unique building. The final result of the study is the rankings of the functional priority areas that takes into account the construction of both residential and public and business objects of unique high-rise construction. The use of the developed methodology will allow investors and customers to assess the investment attractiveness of the future unique construction project on the proposed site.

Problems that often occur in the selection of goods, there are still many industries that make convey-ors as senders only without a selection process. The purpose of this study was to make a high-variable item selection prototype tool using an ATMega 8535 microcontroller. It was found that the prototype goods se-lection tool was based on a high ATMega 8535 microcontroller with a maximum working conveyor. Con-veyor 1 will move if there is an item or object that is left in front of conveyor 1 and stops the goods at the end of the conveyor 1. Conveyor 2 will move if the photodiode sensor has detected the items on the convey-or 1. All tests are performed properly. The photodiode sensor works well to measure the height of objects or items. Further improvements with more complex development prototypes that can be applied to actual industries and factories. This tool can only measure the height of the item from what can be developed or the weight of the item.
