Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika mahasiswa setelah diterapkannya metode pembelajaran Learning Starts with a Question. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 5 pendidikan matematika Universitas PGRI Palembang tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 40 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen (Posttes-only control design). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes. Hasil penelitian yang didapat bahwa ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran Learning Starts with a Question terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika mahasiswa.This study aims to determine the capability is there any influence student understanding of mathematical concepts after the implementation of Learning Starts with a Question method. The research subject is the 5th semester student of mathematics education PGRI Palembang University academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 40 people. The method used is experiment (Posttes-only control design). Data collection techniques were used that test. The research result obtained that no influence Learning Starts with a Question method of the ability student understanding of mathematical concepts.

AbstrakBanyak siswa yang kesulitan dalam memahami konsep matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pada pokok bahasan Lingkaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah metode deskriptif dengan penelitian kasus. Materi tentang Lingkaran merupakan materi yang terdapat di SMP kelas VIII pada semester genap dan materi ini merupakan salah satu materi yang berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari hari. Kelas VIII F SMPN 3 Karawang Barat dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes tertulis kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Soal berbentuk uraian yang sebelum digunakan sudah di uji validasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan rata-rata nilai kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa adalah 10,06 termasuk dalam kriteria sedang.  Hasil analisis konsep per indikator, diketahui siswa sangat kurang pada indikator menerapkan hubungan antar konsep dan prosedur, kemudian dalam menerapkan konsep secara algoritma. Masih terdapat banyak siswa yang memiliki pemahaman konsep yang kurang.  Understanding of Mathematical Concepts Class VIII Students in Circle MaterialsAbstractMany students have difficulty understanding mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability to understand students' concepts in solving questions on the subject of the Circle. The method used in this research is descriptive method with case research. The material about Circles is the material found in class VIII SMP in the even semester and this material is one of the materials related to daily life. Class VIII F of SMP 3 Karawang Barat was chosen as the research subject. Data collection is done by giving written tests the ability to understand concepts. Questions in the form of descriptions that have been validated before being used. The results of this study show the average value of the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts is 10.06 which is included in the criteria of being. The results of concept analysis per indicator, it is known that students are very lacking in indicators applying relationships between concepts and procedures, then in applying the concept algorithmically. There are still many students who lack an understanding of concepts.

The purpose of this research is to analyze mathematical understanding ability, especially students of  mathematics education at second semester. Understanding ability that was researched is about group of algebra structure. This research use descriptif qualitative method. Subject at this research are second semester  mathematics education student in Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta in academic year 2018/2019. Data in this research were  obtained with interview, test, and documentation. Results showed student with high creative attitude has translation ability, interpretation ability, and exploration ability. Student with medium creative attitude has translation ability and  interpretation ability, but  hasn’t exploration ability. Student with low creative attitude has translation ability, but hasn’t interpretation ability and exploration ability

The purpose of this study was to improve students' learning discipline at MTs Miftahul Jannah Palangka Raya by using group guidance services. The population in this study amounted to 32 students. The number of research samples consisted of 8 students. Sampling is determined by Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and the scale of learning discipline. The method used is pre-experiment, the technique of collecting data using the Paired-Sample T Test formula or better known as Pre-Post Design is an analysis involving two measurements on the same subject against a particular influence or treatment. The results of the study show that: based on analysis with Paired-Sample T-Test, it shows that students' learning discipline has an initial average increase of 130.13 to 234.13. This means "Group Guidance Services Can Improve Learning Discipline of Students at MTs Miftahul Jannah Palangka Raya 2016/2017 Academic Year". The results of the analysis show that the eight students in the research subject experienced an increase in learning discipline after the intervention.

Ethnomathematics are different ways of doing mathematics taking into account the academic mathematical knowledge developed by different sectors of society as well as taking into account the different modes in which different cultures negotiate their mathematical practices (ways of grouping, counting, measuring, designing tools, or playing). Based on this research, this study aims to describe the results of ethnomathematics exploration in Jember batik motifs. The method of analysis used in this research was a qualitative approac with an ethnographic design. Data collection techniques were observation, documentation, and interviews. This research was conducted at Rumah Batik Rolla Jember and Rezti'z Batik Tegalsari Ambulu Jember. The research was conducted for one week. The results of this study indicate that the ethnomathematics in the Jember batik motif has a philosophical value that describes the natural wealth of Jember Regency in each of its motifs, and there are mathematical concepts in the form of geometric transformation concepts (reflection, translation, rotation, and dilation) along with the concept of number patterns.

This study aimed to imrpove: (1) learning interest and (2) learning achivement of ignition system by using jigsaw. The type of this study was a classroom action research. The research subject was the eleventh grade students of class XII D of SMK Muhammadiyah Pakem in academic year 2016/2017 consisted of 31 students. The research object was learning interest and learning achivement of ignition system. Data collection techniques used questionaire and test. The research instruments wete leson plan, questionaire,  test, and observation guideline. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis to know the pecentage of learning interest and learning achivement of ignition system. This study shows that (1) the use of jigsaw could improve learning interest of ignition system. The score of learning interest in cycle I was 40.093 in low category improved in cycle II became 51.742 in fair category and improved again in cycle III became 58.419 in high category. (2) The use of jigsaw could improve learning achivement of ignition system. The score of learning achivement of ignition system in pre cycle was 52.74, cycle I was 65.81, cycle II was 74.19, and cycle III was 79.35. The students who were completed in learning in cycle I was 5 students (16.13%), cycle II was 23 tudents (74.19%), dan cycle III was 29 studentes (93.55%).

The type of this research is Classroom Action Research aimed to improve students’ Motivation of Learning of Grade X AK 1 SMK Negeri 1 Bantul Academic Year of 2013/2014. The research is done in two cycles uses two kinds of data collection techniques, i.e. observation and questionnaire. The data collected was analyzed by qualitative analysis using three steps, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion formulation. The analysis is completed with descriptive quantitative analysis to calculate the score of Accounting Learning Motivation. Based on the research result, the implementation of Blended Learning Strategy facilitated with VARK Learning Style Model is able to improve students’ Accounting Motivation of Learning of the grade X AK 1 SMK Negeri 1 Bantl accounting academic year of 2013/2014. It is proven by the improvements of X AK 1’s  average score of Learning Motivation from 76,71% on the first cycle and reaches to 84,18% on the implementation of the second cycle. This improvement shows that using Blended Learning Strategy facilitated with VARK Learning Style Model, the students’ Motivation of Learning is increasing classically, without any domination from a few of students of the class. Abstak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode observasi yang divariasikan dengan LKS words square terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Mataram Tahun Ajaran 2011/2012. Jenis penelitian ini adalah experiment dengan desain penelitian posttest-only control design. Data hasil penelitian berupa hasil belajar (kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor), dan lembar observasi aktivitas guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 77,32 lebih besar dari nilai rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol masing-masing sebesar 70,08. Ketuntasan belajar kelas eksperimen mencapai 92% dan kelas kontrol mencapai 70%. Uji hipótesis dengan uji-t polled varian terhadap hasil belajar (Kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor) antara kelas ekeperimen dan kontrol menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar biologi yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini bahwa penerapanan  metode observasi yang divariasikan dengan LKS word square berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Mataram tahun ajaran 2011/2012.Kata kunci: Metode Observasi, LKS Word Square, Hasil belajar Abstract. This research is held to know the effect of using the observation method varied with LKS word square to achievement  results of student class VIII student of biology SMP Negeri 8 Mataram academic year 2011/2012. This kind of research is a experiment with posttest-only control design. The results showed that the average post-test experiment class are 77.32 they are greater than the average post-test control 70.08. Exhaustiveness studied experiment class 92% and control class 70%. Test the hypothesis with the t-test variant polled on learning outcomes (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor) between classes ekeperimen and control which means that there are biological differences in learning outcomes significantly between experiment and control class. The conclusion of this research is using observation method which varied with the LKS word square is effect for the achievement of biology  student class VIII in SMP Negeri 8 Mataram academic year 2011/2012.Keywords: observation method, LKS Word Square, achievement

<p>Geometry is a branch of science in mathematics and a course taken by students of mathematics education. Based on students' final exam scores, results were not optimal with several types of errors detected. This study aimed at identify student mistakes in solving geometry problems on the topic of solid figures. The subjects of this study were mathematics education students in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year at Universitas Pelita Harapan in Tangerang. The type of research was a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection technique used was a test. The results showed that students' errors in solving geometry problems were concept errors, calculation errors, and a lack of accuracy because they were in a hurry.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong>Geometri merupakan salah satu cabang ilmu dalam matematika dan merupakan matakuliah yang wajib diikuti oleh mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika. Berdasarkan nilai ujian akhir semester mahasiswa didapatkan hasilnya masih kurang maksimal, hal ini memungkinkan terdapat beberapa tipe kesalahan jawaban dari mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal UAS geometri pada topik bangun ruang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika semester genap Universitas Pelita Harapan Tangerang tahun akademik 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri adalah kesalahan konsep, kesalahan hitung, dan kurang teliti karena terburu-buru.</p>

This research aims to determine the influence of Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy to understand of mathematical concept students class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau. The method used in this research is pure experiment. The population is the entire class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau academic year 2016/2017 which amounts to 444 students, as the sample is class VIII.9 as experimental class and class VIII.7 as a control class taken at random. Data collection is done by test technique. Collected data was analyzed using t-test at significant level α = 0,05, obtained tcount > ttable that is 3,48 > 1.67, so it can be concluded that there is significant influence of Think Talk Write (TTW) strategy to understanding of mathematical concepts student class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau. The average score of students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the final test of the experimental class is 25.23 and the control class is 17.44. ABSTRAKPenelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk melihat bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Cabri 3D lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning Berbantuan Cabri 3D di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 27 Medan T.A 2016/2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan posttest control design dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 27 Medan tahun ajaran 2016/ 2017 dan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-4 dan VIII-6 yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes uraian. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Cabri 3D lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning Berbantuan Cabri 3D di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 27 Medan T.A 2016/2017.Kata Kunci : Pemahaman Konsep Matematika, Problem Based Learning, Discovery Learning, Cabri 3D   ABSTRACT This quasi experimental research aimed to know understanding of mathematical concepts using Problem Based Learning model assisted by Cabri 3D was better than understanding of mathematical concepts using Discovery Learning model assisted by Cabri 3D in grade eight of SMP Negeri 27 Medan in academic year of 2016/2017. This  research used  posttest  control design with  population was all students of grade eight of SMP Negeri 27 Medan in academic year of 2016/2017and samples were students of VIII-4 and VIII-6 class that were chosen by cluster sampling. The data of research were obtained by essay test. Based on the result of research, it could be concluded that the understanding of mathematical concepts using Problem Based Learning model assisted by Cabri 3D was better than  understanding of mathematical concepts using Discovery Learning model assisted by Cabri 3D in grade eight of SMP Negeri 27 Medan in academic year of 2016/2017.Keywords: Understanding of mathematical concepts, Problem Based Learning model, Discovery Learning model, Cabri 3D.
