The study focuses on professional self-determination formation in high school students as a corre-lation between their anxiety and self-esteem is considered to be highly important in the study of human resources. The purpose of the study is to determine on the basis of theoretical arguments a correlation between self-esteem and state anxiety in students in the process of professional self-determination and prove it with an experiment. The study was conducted in Kuzino State School 36 of the Sverdlovsk Region. The study was carried out in three stages: desktop analysis, experimental research, and data analysis. The research comprised empirical methods in the form of an ascertaining experiment and testing, statistical and mathematical methods in the form of Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, and three techniques: the Dembo-Rubinstein technique for self-esteem evaluation modified by A.M. Prikhozhan, the Kazantseva technique for general self-esteem assessment, and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, developed by C.D. Spielberger and modified by Yu.L. Khanin. The research on self-esteem of students in the process of professional self-determination showed the following findings. Based on the Dembo-Rubinstein technique, average self-esteem prevails among study subjects (67%); moreover, the Kazantseva technique demonstrated the prevalence of average self-esteem among high school students as well (63%). The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory also showed that most of the subjects (68%) had an average level of anxiety. In the study, experiments were performed and levels of self-esteem and state anxiety in professional self-deter-mination formation were determined; a correlation between self-esteem and state anxiety was proven. Study findings demonstrated that most students had average self-esteem and average state anxiety. Thus, according to Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, there is indeed a correlation between self-esteem and state anxiety in students in the process of professional self-determination.

The article is devoted to the problem of professional self-determination, which is urgent for today's youth. The role of professional choice in a person's life is great, and the possibilities with which a young man approaches this process plays a decisive role. In their article, the authors present the results of an empirical study of thepersonal characteristics of students in grades 9, 10, 11 and their readiness to choose a profession. We identified important and significant connections between the level of development of self-esteem and reflexivity with such indicators of professional self-determination as autonomy and emotional attitude. This result indicates that the level of development of his self-awareness plays a decisive role in the professional self-determination of a young man. It is the teacher's task to help high school students in professional self-determination.

The article analyses the methods and technologies of professional self-determination of students in the US education system. It has been found that the theory and practice of preparing students for professional self-determination has accumulated some positive experience in the development and use of activating career guidance methods and the formation and adaptation of career guidance programs with elements of activation of high school students. Also, the article presents the analysis of basic career guidance methods and technologies in the American high school. The purpose of the present study was to examine the interplay between academic procrastination, self-esteem, state anxiety and self-efficacy of the 11th grade high school students who are getting prepared for the University Entry Exam. Particapants were 400 students (220 female, 180 male) that were chosen randomly in Konya province. Academic Procrastination Behavior Scale (APBS), Academic Self-Efficacy (ASES), Coopersmith Self-Esteem Scale (CSES), Spielberg State Anxiety Inventory (SSAI) was used. Pearson Moments Correlation, multiple regression analyze, F-test and t-test was used to analyze data. According to the result, while low self-esteem significantly explains academic procrastination, state anxiety and self-efficacy beliefs don't explain academic procrastination. High academic procrastinators and middle level procrastinators have more state anxiety than low academic procrastinators. Also male students are more inclined to academic procrastination than female students.

<p><strong>Abstract</strong></p><p>This research aims to investigate the relation between self-regulation skills of pre-school students and the effect of parental attitudes.  The subjects of this study consist of 155 children, 79 girls and 76 boys, who were going to the pre-school education institutions affiliated to the Bartın Provincial National Education Directorate and their parents. In order to determine the self regulation skills of the children the “Pre-school Self Regulation Scale” has been applied to the children individually, and to determine the attitudes of the parents the “Family Attitude Inventory” has been used to collect the data. Since there has been no distribution of normality encountered in the test of normality, the Mann-Whitney U test has been used in the two group comparisons, for the correlation between the variables, the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient has been used. The significance level has been determined as 0,05.  As a conclusion, no significant correlation has been detected between the attention/impulse control and positive feeling scores, which are sub-dimensions of self regulation skills, and the sub-dimensions and total score’s of family attitudes inventory. It can be obviously seen that especially the attention and impulse sub dimensions of the pre-school girl students in the experimental group have been more developed and that these children show high self-regulation skills in this sub dimension. It was determined that the parents of the study group had the highest attitudes to identify with their children, followed by social mobility, democratic attitudes and compliance behaviors.</p><p><strong>Öz</strong></p><p>Bu çalışmada, okul öncesi periyodundaki çocukların öz düzenleme becerileri ile anne-baba tutumları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu Bartın İli Millî Eğitim Müdürlüğü’ne bağlı anasınıflarına devam eden 79 kız 76 erkek olmak üzere toplam 155 çocuk ve bu çocukların anne-babaları oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında çocukların öz düzenleme becerilerinin belirlenmesinde “Okul Öncesi Öz Düzenleme Ölçeği”, annelerin ve babaların çocuk yetiştirme tutumlarının belirlenmesinde “Aile Tutum Envanteri” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, puanlar normal dağılım göstermedikleri için iki gruplu karşılaştırmalarda Mann-Whitney U testi, değişkenler arasındaki ilişkide Spearman’s Brown korelasyon analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Anlamlılık seviyesi olarak 0,05 kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda; Okul Öncesi Öz Düzenleme Ölçeği Dikkat/Dürtü Kontrolü ve Olumlu Duygu alt boyutları puanı ile Aile Tutum Envanteri alt boyutları ve toplam puanları arasında anlamlı bağlantı bulunmamıştır. Çalışma grubundaki kız çocukların özellikle Dikkat/Dürtü alt boyutu puanlarının daha fazla olduğu, çocukların dikkat/dürtü alanında yüksek düzeyde öz düzenleme becerileri gösterdikleri belirlenmiştir. Çalışma grubundaki anne-babaların, çocuklarıyla özdeşim kurma davranışlarının en yüksek düzeyde olduğu ve bunu sosyal hareketlilik, demokratik tutum ve uyma davranışının izlediği belirlenmiştir.</p>

Анализируется рефлексивность как основа самопознания и понимания себя субъектом в будущей профессиональной деятельности. Проанализированы психологические особенности профессионального становления личности в юношеском возрасте, рассмотрена специфика проявления рефлективности, выделены уровни ее развития и определена роль в профессиональном самоопределении старшеклассников. Эмпирическое исследование проведено на выборке 244 учащихся (136 девушек и 108 юношей, средний возраст - 16 лет). В исследовании были использованы: тест на выявление профессионального типа личности Дж. Холанда в модификации (Г.В. Резапкиной); методика «Мотивы выбора профессии» Г. Овчаровой; методика определения уровней развития рефлексивности А. Карпова; методика «Дифференциальный тип рефлексии» Д.А. Леонтьева и эссе на тему «Роль прошлого, настоящего и будущего в моей жизни». По результатам пилотажного этапа исследования выделены три группы респондентов с разными показателями рефлексивности. Количественный и качественный анализ показателей рефлексивности и профессионального самоопределения старшеклассников позволил установить специфическое соотношение указанных характеристик. Результаты исследования могут стать основой для развития рефлексивности старшеклассников и для создания программ актуализации их профессионального самоопределения. The analyzes reflexivity as the basis of self-knowledge and understanding of oneself as a subject in future professional activity. The psychological features of the professional formation of a personality in the youth age were analyzed, the specifics of the manifestation of reflexivity were considered, the levels of its development were singled out and the role in the professional self-determination of high school students was defined. An empirical study was carried out on a sample of 244 students (136 girls and 108 boys, average age - 16 years). In the empirical study, the following were used: the test to identify the professional type of personality of J. Holand in a modification (G.V. Rezapkina); the method «Motives for Choosing a Profession» by G. Ovcharova; Karpov's method to determine the levels of development of reflexivity; the technique «Differential Type of Reflexion» by D.A. Leontiev and the essay «The Role of the Past, Present, and Future in My Life». In the course of the empirical study, three groups of respondents with different indicators of reflexivity were identified. The quantitative and qualitative analysis of the indexes of reflexivity and professional self-determination of high school students allowed us to establish a specific correlation of these characteristics. The results of the research can become the basis both for the development of the reflexivity of high school students and for the creation of programs to actualize their professional self-determination.

The article dwells on the problem of teenagers' professional self-determination as the readiness to making choice of the profession. Psychological factors of professional self-determination of high school students are defined and theoretically substantiated. Psychological properties are investigated, the means of which is the formation of factors of senior school students’ professional self-determination. In our research by professional self-determination we mean a stable, value-oriented complex of professionally important traits and personality traits, which is characterized by a certain structure, determines the readiness of high school students to choose a profession and is formed by a number of psychological factors. We prove that the set of psychological factors of professional self-determination of high school students has a nonlinear character and multi-level structure. The purpose of the publication is to investigate the psychological factors of professional self-determination and to substantiate the need to introduce a program of psychological and pedagogical support for the development of professional self-determination of high school students. As a result of the research psychological factors of professional self-determination of high school students were established: actual motives; sufficient level of development of volitional regulation of personality; locus control; a sufficient level of the formation of reflectivity development. The conducted psycho diagnostics revealed the immaturity of psychological factors of professional self-determination among high school students; unreadiness of teenagers to make an independent, conscious professional choice. This situation requires targeted correction through the introduction of a program of psychological and pedagogical support.

This study aimed at investigating the impact of the quality of life perception on the self-esteem of physically active adults. A total of 63 male and female swimming practitioners (38.13 ± 11.72) were evaluated. A socio-demographic questionnaire, WHOQOL-Bref Scale, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale were used as tools. For data analysis the descriptive statistics, Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test, Mann-Whitney U Test, Spearman’s Rank Correlation Coefficient, and the Univariate Multiple Regression were used. No significant differences were found either for the quality of life or the self-esteem between sexes; there was a significant positive correlation (p < 0.05) among the physical (r = 0.37), psychological (r = 0.36) and environmental (r = 0.30) domains with self-esteem. The regression model explained 20% of the self-esteem variability, with moderate and significant pathways of the physical (β = 0.23) and psychological (β = 0.23) domains, whereas the environmental domain did not show a significant predictive relation (p = 0.988) with self-esteem. It is concluded that a higher quality of life perception may result in a higher self-esteem for physically active adults.

The relevance of the study of the problem of professional self-determination of high school students and features of the choice of profession by modern graduates is substantiated. The degree of expression of pedagogical inclinations in the structure of professional personality types and types of professional activity of graduates as a result of research of high school students is established. Methods were used: a questionnaire of professional inclinations (L. Yovaishi’s method in G. V. Rezapkina’s modification), the method “Determination of professional personality type” (J. V. Rezapkina’s method). Holland in the modification Of G. V. Resorcinol), methods - methods “Matrix choice of profession” G. V. Resorcinol. It was found that the most common professional personality type among high school students with pedagogical inclinations is the social type. Respondents with a tendency to pedagogical activity often have a harmonious structure of professional choice, namely, a high indicator in which all three components of professional choice (inclinations, interests, type) are clearly expressed.
