Slow growth is obstacles to achieving the target of goldfish production (Carassius auratus auratus). The process of metabolism and growth in fish is influenced by hormonal factors. This research was conducted in February-March 2016 at Hatchery and Aquaculture Technology Laboratory Aquaculture Study Program of Faculty of Agriculture University of Malikussaleh. This study aims to examine the effect of thyroxine (T4) and hormone recombinant Growth Hormone (rGH) hormone by immersion method with different doses on growth and survival of goldfish larvae. The experimental method using a complete non factorial randomized design with four three replication treatments. The treatment is: A= control, B= T4 0.05 mgL-1 + rGH 5 mgL-1, C= T4 0.1 mgL-1 + rGH 10 mgL-1, D = T4 0.15 mgL-1 + rGH 15 mgL-1. Result of research with giving of recombination of hormone T4 and hormone rGH with different dose have an effect on to decrease of yolk volume, egg yolk absorption rate, growth and survival with p value <0,05 . The best treatment is in treatment D (T4 0, 15mgL-1 + rGH 15 mg L-1) with yolk volume and egg yolk absorption rate for 36 hours, growth weight: 3.09 mg, growth length: 1.75 mm, and 81% stability. The values of waters quality the study was 27-28 oC, pH 7.0-7.4, dissolved oxygen 5-6.1 ppm and ammonia 0.1073-0.1793 ppm, still support optimal fish growth for the goldfish. This research is expected to accelerate the growth process of the goldfish larvae with excellent syntax value.AbstrakPertumbuhan yang lambat merupakan kendala dalam mencapai target produksi ikan maskoki (Carassius auratus auratus). Proses metabolisme dan pertumbuhan pada ikan dipengaruhi oleh faktor hormonal. Penelitian ini dilaksa-nakan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2016 di Laboratorium Pembenihan dan Teknologi Budidaya, Perairan Program Studi Budidaya Perairan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Malikussaleh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pe-ngaruh pemberian hormon tiroksin (T4) dan hormon rGH (recombinant Growth Hormone) melalui metode peren-daman dengan dosis yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintasan larva ikan maskoki. Metode penelitian ekspe-rimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap non faktorial dengan empat perlakuan tiga ulangan. Adapun perlakuannya adalah: A= Kontrol, B= T4 0,05 mgL-1+ rGH 5 mgL-1, C= T4 0,1 mgL-1+ rGH 10 mgL-1, D = T4 0,15 mgL-1+ rGH 15 mgL-1. Hasil penelitian dengan pemberian rekombinasi hormon T4 dan hormon rGH dengan dosis yang berbeda ber-pengaruh terhadap penurunan volume kuning telur, laju penyerapan kuning telur, pertumbuhan dan sintasan dengan nilai p< 0,05. Perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan D (T4 0,15 mg L-1 + rGH 15 mgL-1) dengan hasil volume kuning telur dan laju penyerapan kuning telur selama 36 jam, pertumbuhan bobot : 3,09 mg, pertumbuhan panjang : 1,75 mm, dan sintasan : 81 %. Nilai kualitas air selama penelitian yaitu suhu 27-28 oC, pH 7,0-7,4, oksigen terlarut 5-6,1 mgL-1 dan amonia 0,1073-0,1793 mgL-1, masih mendukung pertumbuhan ikan yang optimal bagi ikan mas koki. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu mempercepat proses pertumbuhan larva ikan mas koki dengan nilai sintasan yang sangat baik.

<p>Growth of giant gourami is relatively slow. Administration of recombinant growth hormone (rGH) by several<br />times immersion in water containing 0.9% NaCl for one hour can significantly increase the growth. In this<br />study, giant gourami juvenile were immersed in freshwater containing 120 mg/L rGH to determine the long<br />immersion time that provides higher growth and survival. Juvenile at seventh-day-old after egg yolk absorbed<br />was immersed for 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 hours in rGH solution. As controls, fish was immersed in freshwater<br />without rGH (control 1: C1), and water containing 0.9% NaCl, and 120 mg/L rGH (control 2: C2). Fish was<br />kept under controlled conditions in 20 L aquarium for three weeks, then in 50 L aquarium until at end of<br />experiment, and fed at satiation. The results showed that highest growth in body weight, survival, and biomass<br />(p&lt;0.05) were obtained in rGH immersion treatment for 0.5 hour. Biomass of fish immersed by rGH for 0.5<br />hour was about 32% higher compared to control C1, and 13% compared to C2. Survival of the 0.5 hour rGHimmersed<br />fish (100%) was similar to control C1 and C2. Thus, immersion of giant gourami juvenile in<br />freshwater containing rGH for 0.5 hour allowed highest growth rate, and this method is relatively easy to be<br />adopted by fish hatchery.</p><p>Keywords: immersion, hormone, growth, freshwater, giant gourami</p>

<p>The experiment was conducted to study the effect of thyroxine hormone injection on female marble goby on metamorphosis and survival rate of their larva. Thyroxine hormone was injected into female at the dosage of 0,25 and 50 µg/g body weight. And then the female were reared with males in spawning tanks. Spawned eggs were hatched and the larva was observed for organogenesis, yolk absorption and growth in length. Formation of eye spot, swim bladder and body pigment becoming faster as the increase in thyroxine hormone dose. Yolk volume in larva that was obtained form thyroxine injected female decreased faster than those of control. The purpose of this study, to determine the effect of temperatura on embryonic development and early stadia larvae of yellow fin tuna (Thunnus albacares) and the level  abnormalities of the larvae. This research was carried out in a Large Marine Aquaculture Center And Hyacinth Fisheries Gondol. The container used is a 1 liter backer glass of 15 pieces. Egg density at each backer glass is 300 grains. The temperature treatment used is (240C±1), P2 (260C±1), P3 (280C±1), P4 (300C±1), P5 (320C±1). Parameters observed were egg hatchability, egg hatching time, larval abnormalities, absorption of egg yolk and larval length. Based on the result of the study showed that different temperature treatments were able to give a significant influence on the development of eggs and the time of hatching egg. The temperature treatment 260C was able to increase the hatchbility value by 40,7%, larvae abnormality value 15,8%, larvae length growth 5,48 mm compared to other temperature treatment. The best egg yolk absorption rate is shown at the temperature treatment of 240C, 260C, and 280C compared to the 300C and 320C temperature treatments.

<p class="NoParagraphStyle" align="center"><strong>ABSTRACT</strong></p><p class="NoParagraphStyle" align="center"><strong> </strong></p><p class="NoParagraphStyle">Catfish hatchery requires technology and engineering to maximize the development and growth of fish. In this research the hormone thyroxine (T4), recombinant growth hormone (G) and mix of thyroxine and growth hormones (GT) were administered by immersion to enhance the development and growth of stripped catfish larvae. Research was using completely randomized design, with four treatments and five replications; A, control; B, thyroxine hormone (T4) 0.1 mg/L; C, T4 and G (GT) (0.1 mg/L and 10 mg/L); and D, G 10 mg/L. Immersion was performed for one hour. Results showed that the rate of yolk absorption at 16 hours post immersion was higher (P&lt;0.05) in treatment B (96.98%) compared with treatments A (18.54%), C (20.59%), and D (32.90%). Larval growth of treatments B (24.85 mm) and C (24.00 mm) was higher (P&lt;0.05) compared with treatments A (21.71 mm) and D (23.18 mm). Survival among treatments were similar (P&gt;0.05). The size of liver cell and cytoplasm of treated larvae were larger than the control. Behavior of fish in the treatments B and C showed more active than the treatments A and D. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap, dengan empat perlakuan dan lima kali ulangan; A, kontrol; B, hormon tiroksin (T4) 0,1 mg/L; C, T4 dan G (GT) (0,1 mg/L dan 10 mg/L); dan D, G 10 mg/L. Perendaman dilakukan selama satu jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa laju penyerapan kuning telur pada jam ke-16 setelah perendaman lebih cepat (P&lt;0,05) pada perlakuan B (96,98%) dibandingkan dengan perlakuan A (18,54%), C (20,59%), dan D (32,90%). Pertumbuhan larva yang diberi perlakuan B (24,85 mm) dan C (24,00 mm) lebih tinggi (P&lt;0,05) dibandingkan dengan perlakuan A (21,71 mm) dan D (23,18 mm). Tingkat kelangsungan hidup antarperlakuan tidak berbeda (P&gt;0,05). Ukuran sel dan sitoplasma hati ikan perlakuan relatif lebih besar dibandingkan kontrol. Tingkah laku ikan pada perlakuan B dan C lebih aktif dibandingkan perlakuan A dan D. A growth hormone cDNA of yellowfin porgy (Acanthopagrus latus) was inserted into baculovirus vectors, pAcT7, under the control of the polyhedrin promoter. A 22-kilodalton (kDa) protein, similar to that of native growth hormone, was detected in the supernatant of insect cells infected with the recombinant virus at the level of 2–8% of total proteins. This protein was immunoprecipitated with rabbit polyclonal antibodies raised against native chum salmon (Oncorhynchus keta) growth hormone. Furthermore, a radiolabeled protein band of 22 kDa was also seen in the recombinant-virus-infected cell culture supernatant after labeling with [35S]methionine. Injection of individual tilapia with 0.1 μg of crude supernatant protein containing recombinant growth hormone once a week resulted in significant increases (p < 0.01) in weight (54%), weight gain (260%), length (21%), and feed efficiency rate (210%) relative to a similarly treated control group and an untreated control group at week 5 onwards.
