This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effect of exchange rates, Gross Domestic Product and solvency on stock returns. This research was conducted at the mining company in the coal sub-sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. All the coal mining sub-sector companies listed on the Stock Exchange for the period 2014-2017 used as the population. The method of determining the sample used is using a saturated sampling technique. Multiple linear regression test used as the data analysis on this research. Based on the results of the analysis of this study it was found that the exchange rate and GDP had a negative and significant effect on stock returns. The solvency proxied by DER has a positive and significant effect on stock returns. Keywords: Exchange Rate, Gross Domestic Product, Solvability and Return.

The research objective is to examine factors that affect non-performing loans at conventional private banks in Indonesia. These factors include growth in gross domestic product, interest rates, currency exchange rates, exports, credit growth, inflation, return on asset, operating costs to operating income, and the capital adequacy ratio. The sample used in this study was conventional private banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2014-2019. Data analysis techniques using Multivariate adaptive regression spline (MARS). The study results inform an influence between the predictor variables and the response variables based on functions in the model. The variables that affect non-performing loans are credit growth, exchange rates, inflation, capital adequacy ratio, return on asset, operating costs to operating income, and interest rates. In contrast, gross domestic product growth and export growth in this study do not affect non-performing loans in conventional private banks. The MARS model has informed that the most influential variable on non-performing loans is credit growth. Banking authorities need to control lending by applying credit risk management and regulating the quality of credit loans to contribute to the results in this study.

This study is an empirical research that aims to determine the effect of profitability, leverage, company size, CEO's gender, CEO's educational background and CEO's level of education against income smoothing practice. The population in this study are all manufacturing companies that have been going public and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2014-2016. Sampling technique conducted by the author is to use purposive sampling. This study uses secondary data derived from company financial statements, company annual reports, and fact book. Total research data amounted to 134, of which 84 companies are doing income smoothing. Hypothesis testing is done by using logistic regression analysis with significance level (α) 5%. Data processing using IBM SPSS software version 22.00. The results show that profitability and leverage variables have a significant negative effect on the practice of income smoothing, while the gender variable CEO has a significant positive influence on the practice of income smoothing. Meanwhile, firm size variables, CEO education background and CEO education level have no influence on the practice of income smoothing.

The main objective of this study is to provide empirical evidence of the effect of macro economic factors on stock return. Moreover, this study is focused on multinational corporations due to their specific characteristics which are constantly reluctant to macro economic fuctors, especially foreign currency changes. This reluctantly, therefore triggered stock price changes. The sample is taken using non-probability random sampling in year 2000-2044 and resulted on 3 5 companies which are consistent with sample criteria. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using pooled least squares regression. The independent variables for the model are inflation, gross domestic product and currency exchange rates, whilst the dependent variqble for the model is daily abnormal returns which ore occumulated during a year (CAR). The resultof this study shows positive ffict of inflation on stock returns and negative effect of domestic product on stock returns. On the contrary, exchange rates failed to demonstrate its effect on stock returns.Key words: inflation, gross domestic product, exchange rotes and stock returns

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the effect of the new fraud diamond model in explaining financial statement fraud. Design/methodology/approach The variables used to examine the factors consist of motivation, opportunity, personal integrity and capability. This research used manufactured companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange of the 2015–2019 period as the population. Findings There has been a positive influence between personal financial need (OSHIP), nature of the industry (RECEIVABLE) and history of sale (SG) toward financial statement fraud, while the negative effect is found only in the effective monitoring (IND). Research limitations/implications The new fraud diamond model theory which is used as a reference in this study is a new and under-developed theory. So the author suggests that further research on this theory be carried out to strengthen the new fraud diamond model theory and ensure whether it can be used as a reference to find out the causes of financial statement fraud. In addition, the object used in this study is limited to manufacturing companies, so the author suggests that further research combine several types of companies. Originality/value The research finding supports the new fraud diamond model theory in elaborating the financial statement fraud phenomenon.

This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of inflation, interest rates and exchange rates on stock returns on manufacturing companies that go public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2013-2014 period. The population in this study were 149 companies that went public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2016. By using the Slovin method, a sample of 60 companies was obtained. This type of data is secondary data obtained by documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression by testing hypotheses using F and t. The results showed that partially inflation and interest rates had a negative and insignificant effect on stock returns while the rupiah exchange rate had a positive and significant effect on stock returns. Simultaneously that the variables of inflation, interest rates and exchange rates have a significant effect on stock returns on manufacturing companies that go public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The amount of variation in inflation, interest rates and exchange rates is only able to explain variations in stock returns by 4.4 percent, while the remaining 95.6 percent is explained by other variables outside of this research variable.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the inflation, IBCinterest rate, and exchange rate on CSPI. The research was conducted on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (ISE) by using sample of 72 consisted of the entire variable monthly data during  2010  to  2015 with  the selection  of  the sample through a non probability sampling method by purposive sampling method and the data were analyzed with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Based on the analysis found inflation, IBC interest rates, and exchange rates simultaneously affect the CSPI. The Inflation and IBC interest rates partially significant negative effect on the CSPI, this means an increase in inflation and IBC interest rates may result decrease value of CSPI. Exchange rates partially significant positive effect on CSPI. This means that the increase occurred in exchange rates can increase the value of CSPI.Kata kunci:   Inflasi, Suku Bunga, Kurs, Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG)
