The development of e-learning, both in distance and mixed forms, becomes especially relevant in the modern educational process. A high-quality e-learning course is developed through the efforts of two parties: the teacher, who creates the methodological content, and the programmer, who creates the electronic shell of the course. The article substantiates the importance of quality issues in the development of a user interface for electronic educational resources, since the user of an electronic course deals with the direct implementation of educational material. The indicators for assessing the quality of software products in accordance with international and Russian standards and their applicability for assessing user interfaces of electronic educational resources are analyzed. The conclusion is made about the importance of the indicator “practicality” in relation to this type of software product as an indicator of an individual evaluation of the use of a product by a certain user or circle of users. The classical methods for assessing the quality of the human-machine interaction interface and the applicability of experimental and formal methods for assessing quality are considered. The analysis of modern approaches to the design of user interfaces based on UX/UI design is given. An assessment of the requirements and criteria for assessing the user interface from the standpoint of modern design is given. The tasks and features of the UX and UI components of the design process are analyzed. The essence of the modern term “usability” as an indicator of the interface evaluation is explained, and the qualitative evaluation criteria for this indicator are considered. The concept of UX testing is given, the main stages of this process are considered. The importance of taking into account the subjective psychological factors of interface perception is substantiated. The indicators for assessing the quality of user interfaces, based on the cognitive factors of its perception by a person, are analyzed.

The article is devoted to the quality of natural science education at universities. Moreover, this article reveals the causes and consequences of the decline in the level of mastery of these disciplines. The modernization of education efficiency aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of education itself largely depends on the way of using the objective information. This information can be received in the framework of studies of various types of education results such as monitoring studies of the republican level and international comparative studies. All these studies provide the information on the state of education; they allow correlating the planned and achieved results and based on that identifying the most significant education problems that need to be solved. The monitoring of the education quality implies the development of criteria for the assessments of knowledge for any stage of education. The calculation of students' progress rating can be one of the approaches to this problem. The assessment of the output knowledge of the students' progress rating can be done by using the electronic journal, which is the part of a university's automated information system. The standardization of the final rating on a scale of 0 to 100 creates an optimal opportunity to compare the results of educational progress at all stages of training. The use of virtual tools and software products is one of the essential interactive elements of the e-learning course in the virtual educational environment, which is particularly important in the study of natural sciences. These tools combine methodological and pedagogical technologies, information resources and modern software and help to monitor the educational process and find the solution to the issues of its quality.

In this paper we describe how existing software developing processes, such as Rational Unified Process, can be adapted in order to allow disciplined and more efficient development of user interfaces. The main objective of this paper is to demonstrate that standard modeling environments, based on the UML, can be adapted and efficiently used for user interfaces development. We have integrated the HCI knowledge into developing processes by semantically enriching the models created in each of the process activities of the process. By using UML, we can make easier use of HCI knowledge for ordinary software engineers who, usually, are not familiar with results of HCI researches, so these results can have broader and more practical effects. By providing a standard means for representing human computer interaction, we can seamlessly transfer UML models of multimodal interfaces between design and specialized analysis tools. Standardization provides a significant driving force for further progress because it codifies best practices enables and encourages reuse, and facilitates inter working between complementary tools. Proposed solutions can be valuable for software developers, who can improve quality of user interfaces and their communication with user interface designers, as well as for human computer interaction researchers, who can use standard methods to include their results into software developing processes.

In recent years, Cyber Security threat modeling has been discovered to have the capacity of combatting and mitigating against online threats. In order to minimize the associated risk, these threats need to be modelled with appropriate Intelligent User Interface (IUI) design and consequently the development and evaluation of threat metrics. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized every facet of our daily lives and building a responsive Cyber Security Threat Model requires an IUI. The current threat models lack IUI, hence they cannot deliver convenience and efficiency. However, as the User Interface (UI) functionalities and User Experience (UX) continue to increase and deliver more astonishing possibilities, the present threat models lack the predictability capacity thus Machine Learning paradigms must be incorporated. Meanwhile, this deficiency can only be handled through AI-enabled UI that utilizes baseline principles in the design of interfaces for effective Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) with lasting UX. IUI helps developers or designers enhance flexibility, usability, and the relevance of the interaction to improving communication between computer and human. Baseline principles must be applied for developing threat models that will ensure fascinating UI-UX. Application of AI in UI design for Cyber Security Threat Modeling brings about reduction in critical design time and ensures the development of better threat modeling applications and solutions.

The recent application of recommender systems for educational resources and e-learning has facilitated online and accessible education on social networks. However, there are currently few studies about the methods for evaluation and performance measurement of these recommender systems in the complicated environment of educational and social networking platforms. The purpose of this research paper is to investigate the effectiveness of using sentiment analysis methods for educational resources based on user comments and compare it with the quantitative approach based on user rating to recommend best open learning resources (OER) available through online OER repositories. The quality of the OER will be justified by comparing the user rating and the users' reviews. The quality of users' reviews is based on calculating the term frequency for selected positive and negative terms, then determining the similarity among the comments. Comments with positive or negative words confirm the high and low ratings respectively. Keywords: Open Education Resources, OER, Recommender Systems, Sentiment Analysis.

Introduction. The article presents a model of one of the possible indicators of the quality of user interfaces (PIN) of automated workplaces of operational units of emergency and emergency rescue services (EiASS), namely, the linearization indicator that takes into account the psychophysiological features of human perception of visual information. Goals and objectives. Reducing the response time of the operational units of the EiASS by reducing the time of their dispatching. Development of a mathematical model and an algorithm for calculating the linearization indicator of PIN elements (EPIN), which allows estimating the dispatch time depending on their relative location on the monitor. Methods. Methods of set theory and relational algebra were used to construct a PIN model and an algorithm for calculating the linearization index. To describe the PIN configuration, the concepts of an archipelago and a frame of interface elements are introduced. Results and discussion. The success of the EiASS actions largely depends on the dispatch time, during which the required number of units is determined and sent. Therefore, the time spent on solving dispatching tasks is one of the most common and objective indicators of the quality of the PIN. The best of the investigated automated workplaces will be the one with the specified time less. However, the time indicator gives an idea only about the relative time - the time of operation of one automated workplace relative to another. And it does not give any idea of the absolute time that would be spent on solving the problem by some abstract automated workplace with an optimal EPIN configuration. For this reason, an indicator that is sensitive to the PIN configuration has been developed. The indicator gives an answer to the question of why one automated workplace is better than another, and can be used to optimize the layout of the PIN. Conclusions. Based on the proposed model, an algorithm for calculating the numerical values of the linearization indicator of user interface elements sensitive to their size and relative position on the monitor of the EiASS operator is developed. This allows you to optimize the user interface according to the criterion of time for solving tasks and, accordingly, reduce the dispatching time of the operational units of the EiASS. The article is devoted to the analysis of modern approaches to the organization of the educational process, which would contribute to the formation of a category of lawyers with the necessary knowledge and are capable of preparing and implementing reforms in the political and legal system of their state. It is determined that modern legal education poses its own requirements to the applicant, namely to be a comprehensively developed, independent, self-sufficient person, guided in life by his own knowledge and beliefs, in this regard, the issue of professional training of a modern lawyer, which could withstand modern challenges, becomes especially relevant. It is noted that the training of the future lawyer should be aimed at forming a versatile specialist (lawyer), ready to fulfill a complex set of modern practical tasks for the legal protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of a person and citizen. On this basis, the training of future lawyers should take into account modern approaches to the educational process. The most important of them are analyzed on the example of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (hereinafter - NULES of Ukraine). First, the quality of specialists’ training substantially depends on quality of teaching subject matters which is defined by providing applicants with the corresponding training material (modern qualitative textbooks, manuals, study guides, didactic materials, etc.). And most importantly - the use of computer technology, electronic educational resources, with the help of which the interaction of the sphere of higher education with other spheres of life of society is ensured. Of course, modern ICTs increase the efficiency of the educational process, open the possibility of introducing completely new methods of teaching and learning. However, the implications of the growing importance of ICT in general, and the Internet in particular, should also be taken into account. The use of modern ICTs has become an integral part of the educational process of NULES of Ukraine during the Covid-19 pandemic. Secondly, taking into account modern trends in the field of education, the training of future lawyers should not ignore one of the most important indicators of the quality of higher legal education - the use of a foreign language in the educational process, in particular English. In particular, the NULES of Ukraine provides teaching in English of certain legal disciplines for applicants for higher education of the first (bachelor's) level. Thirdly, the training of a lawyer should be not only theoretical, but also practical. Practical training of a lawyer involves work during practical classes, internships in enterprises, institutions and organizations, self-training by independently performing certain tasks. However, it is worth highlighting another form of practical component of the training of future lawyers - these are legal clinics. To date, such a form of specialists’ practical training in the field of law has been effectively introduced into the educational process of higher educational institutions of Ukraine of the III-IV levels of accreditation. NULES of Ukraine is no exception. The Legal Clinic «Protection and Justice» operates on the basis of the Department of International Law and Comparative Law. It is proved that the quality of specialists’ training in the field of law depends on many factors (the use of modern ICT in the educational process, electronic educational resources, the possibilities of foreign languages in teaching legal disciplines, etc.). However, to a large extent, the quality of training depends on the practical component of the educational process, and therefore special attention should be paid to this component. Keywords: legal education, a lawyer, modern approaches, educational process, lawyers’ training, distance education, foreign language, legal clinic
