The development of catfish culture affects increasing waste in the waters. Aquaculture waste containing high nutrients has the potential to damage the cultivation environment. The Biofloc system in catfish farming can break down NH3 waste into flocks that can be consumed directly by fish. This study aims to analyze the growth and survival rate of catfish in biofloc systems with different C:N ratios. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. Siamese catfish seeds were maintained in an aquarium container size 40 x 30 x 30 cm for 40 days with treatment media A (maintenance without biofloc), treatment B C:N ratio 15, treatment C C:N ratio 20, and treatment D C:N ratio 25. The results showed that the biofloc system with different C:N ratios had significant effect on the weight growth, daily growth rate, and feed convertion ratio of catfish. The best treatment for growth and viability of catfish is C:N ratio 25.

The existence of freshwater crayfish in Indonesia is not well known among the community, even some people think that this type of lobster can only be obtained from catches. Freshwater lobster cultivators are always faced with the classic problem of low survival, especially during seed stages. The role of the water bottom substrate for freshwater crayfish is to support stabilizing water quality (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and ammonia levels). If the substrate condition of the habitat is not suitable, it can inhibit growth and even death. The purpose of this study is; to find out the effect of different basic substrates can increase the survival and growth of freshwater lobsters. The research method used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments 3 replications and 1 control. Each container is stocked with 2-inch lobster seeds with a density of 10 heads / container. The substrate application for each treatment is: A = Control, B = Land, C = Sand Malang, and D = Gravel. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the administration of different substrates only shows significant differences in the survival variable, with the highest number of 96,67% in treatment C (Malang sand) and the lowest with 66,00% in treatment A (Control). While the variables of absolute weight, absolute length, and daily growth rate did not show significant differences in all treatments.

African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) is one type of freshwater fish that has high economic value. African catfish with intensive cultivation are hampered by the high cost of feed that is not in accordance with the selling price of African catfish. An alternative effort that can be done is the addition of probiotics to feed which is expected to reduce feed costs. Probiotics are living microorganisms in fish culture that can prevent disease, thereby increasing production and can reduce economic losses. This study aims to analyze the effect of probiotics on the growth of absolute weight and daily growth rate of African catfish. The method used was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments namely 0, 2, 4 and 6 ml / kg of feed and repeated 3 times. Activities carried out in this study include preparation of containers, seed stocking, fish sampling, feed preparation, feeding and water management. The variables observed were absolute weight growth and daily growth rate. The results showed that the addition of probiotics to commercial feed significantly affected the growth of weight and daily growth rate of African catfish

One of the factors that define the success of seaweed is the planting methods It self. It is important because the method will directly affect the seaweed production. The main problem faced by seaweed farmer is declining the production over years. There are several reasons causing that problem, including, predator, desease and environment degradation. The purpose of this research is investigating the effectiveness of two different seaweed planting methods with the respect to the seaweed growth rate. The two methods that mentioned previously are off bottom and off bottom bracket method. The two methods are basically simillar, the first method (off bottom) is a conventional method, on the other hand, the second method was given an additional nets in order to cover the off bottom construction. The space between each seaweed planting on two different methods are defined similar, which are 25 cm. The initial planting weight was measured 100 grams. Observation was done for 42 days (6 week) and data collection was performed every 7 days on total of 10 individual seaweed each treatment. Absolute weight, daily growth rate, daily growth and specific growth rate are calculated. The data analysis will be done using F test at ? = 0.05 (SPSS 12.0). The result found that the growth rate of seaweed (Eucheuma cottoni) under off bottom bracket was not significantly different compared to the off bottom method (?= 0.476).

Cork fish is one of the commodities from the freshwater fisheries sector which is commonly found in rivers, swamps and swamps that have high economic value and high market demand. The availability of cork fish is still limited to the results of their catch in the wild. And efforts to develop cork fish culture are still small due to slow growth in cork fish and the low response of cork fish to commercially-made feed compared to natural feed. This research is intended to improve the growth of cork fish fed with cinnamon leaf flour (Cinnamomumm burnamani) at different doses. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 3 replications. The treatments performed were control (P1), addition of 0.5% cinnamon leaf flour (P2), addition of cinnamon leaf flour 1% (P3), and addition of cinnamon leaf flour 1.5% (P4). The research parameters observed were absolute weight, absolute length, daily growth rate, EP, fat in SR fish body, and cork fish water quality. The results showed that the addition of cinnamon leaf flour at a dose of 1% influenced the growth of absolute weight, absolute length, LPH, and EP.
