Based on the initial discussion with people form Mosquito coil factory, there is a requirement to calculate the amount of waste from the factory. According to them, several wastes (in the form of liquid and solid waste) are produced in the process of making mosquito coils. The wastes are often scattered on the floor, causing the condition of the factory space to be unclean or dirty and can cause employees to get sick due to waste scattered on the floor. This research focuses on identifying the waste and to calculate the waste produced by each machine for the production of mosquito coils by using the Material Balance method. Material balance shows a quantitative analysis of material inputs, outputs and wastes / waste at each stage of the production process. Material balance calculation is done in the process of Sifting Coconut Shell Flour, Sifting Process for Coffee Skin Flour, Process for Sifting Wood Flour, Sifting Flour Sifting Process, Onggok Flour Cooking Process, Mixing Material into Mosquito Coe Dough, Mosquito Dough Sifting Process, Forming Process of Paste Paste Plate , The Process of Printing Paste Slabs Into Wet Double Coil, Drying Double Wet Coil Process, Drying and Separation Process of Baking Sheet with Dry Double Coil, Grinding Process of Broken Dry Double Coil, Process of Sifting Sweep Flour Falling on the Floor. Based on the observation, some of the waste obtained from each stage of the production process can be collected again and can be used again as a raw material for making mosquito coils.

Brownstock washing is a complex, dynamic process in which dirty wash water or weak black liquor (dissolved organic and inorganic material obtained from the pulp cooking process) is separated from pulp fibers. The use of material balance techniques is of great importance to identify potential problems and determine how well the system is operating. The kraft pulping industry was the first known to combine pulp washing with the recovery of materials used and produced in the wood cooking process. The motivation behind materials recovery is economic, and more recently, environmentally driven. The chemicals used in the kraft process are expensive as compared to those used in the sulfite process. For the kraft process to be economically viable, it is imperative that a very high percentage of the cooking chemicals be recovered. To reach such high efficiency, a variety of washing systems and monitoring parameters have been developed. Antifoam additives and processing aids have also played an important role in increasing washing effectiveness. Antifoam materials help attain washing effectiveness by preventing entrapped air from forming in the system, which allows for an easier, unimpeded flow of filtrate through the screens and washers.

The accurate prediction of the dynamic reserves of gas reservoirs is the important research content of the development of dynamic analysis of gas reservoirs. It is of great significance to the stable and safe production and the formulation of scientific and rational development programs of gas reservoirs. The production methods of dynamic reserves of gas reservoirs mainly include material balance method, unit pressure drop of gas production method and elastic two-phase method. To clarify the characteristics of these methods better, in this paper, we took two typeⅠwells of a constant volume gas reservoir as an example, the dynamic reserves of single well controlled were respectively calculated, and the results show that the order of the calculated volume of the dynamic reserves by using different methods is material balance method> unit pressure drop of gas production method >elastic two-phase method. Because the material balance method is a static method, unit pressure drop of gas production method and elastic two-phase method are dynamic methods, therefore, for typeⅠwells of constant volume gas reservoirs, when the gas wells reached the quasi-steady state, the elastic two-phase method is used to calculate the dynamic reserves, and when the gas wells didn’t reach the quasi-steady state, unit pressure drop of gas production method is used to calculate the dynamic reserves. The conclusion has some certain theoretical value for the prediction of dynamic reserves for constant volume gas reservoirs.

A brick material was prepared with marble wastes as main raw material by pressure forming and water-curing at room temperature. With the increases of the amounts of water additions, the compressive strength increased gradually and obtained a highest value of 34.8MPa in the sample of the ratio of cement: wastes=20:100 at 17.0% water addition, above which the strength had an adverse change and decreased. The addition of glass fiber had small effects on the strength, water absorbing rate and density comparing with that of wood flour. The strengths of sample had changed obviously with the increment of the forming pressures. However, the strength would fall because of the lamination caused by the recovering effects of the wood flour in the sample with replacement of the wood flour to marble wastes, as the forming pressures were higher than 5.0 MPa.

The success of the discovery of new structure Akasia Bagus with potential L layer in 2009 at PT Pertamina EP's Jatibarang Field was followed up by the drilling infill wells with Plan of Development (POD) mechanism which is currently in the process of drilling the last well. The basis of the L layer hydrocarbon calculation in place on the POD is a static analysis. The wells currently produced are still able to flow with natural flow and enough production data since 2009 this structure was found. This study will present an analysis of production in the L layer of Akasia Bagus structure for Original Oil In Place (OOIP) updates using the conventional material balance method and then carry out the best development strategy to optimize oil production. Economic analysis is also carried out for reference in making decision on which scenario to choose. The conventional material balance method gets an OOIP value of 17.36 MMSTB, with the drive energy ratio being 5:3:2 for water influx : fluid expansion : gas cap expansion. Three (3) production optimization scenarios were analyzed, the results showed that the addition of 2 infill wells reached Recovery Factot (RF) of oil up to 23% of OOIP, minimal water production and attractive economic results.

The purpose of the implementation of this research is to find the effectiveness of supplies raw materials, the method of analysis data used in the square is the smallest trend for planning raw materials and controling supplies use method of economic order quantity (EOQ) analyze reorder point. Analysis reorder point and safety stock. And analyzes efficiency cost of raw materials. Forecasting raw materials years 20x7 according to the smallest trend, cloth and dakron happened the difference is greater than of the target needed (according to a company); controling supplies raw materials with the methods eoq in 20x7 more effective than reservations raw materials cloth and dakron and more efficient than cost raw materials. The company should review the policy of forecasting raw material supplies that had been undertaken and make planning supplies the raw material that more accurate using the firm’s historical data and not only targeting the output production next year, so that machines production can be optimized. Considering the use of control supplies with the methods economic order quantity to companies, so this analysis can determine material reservations, supplies safety, maximum supplies to avoid the risk of running out of raw materials, because the companies often happened less dressed up a result of reservations that time is inaccurate, the lack of safety stock and the deferred the delivery of goods which often disturb the production process, by this method can prevent these things, so that the production process can run smoothly and minimize the cost of raw materials supplies.

High strength lightweight glass-ceramics were fabricated with coal gangue and clay as main raw materials. The utilization ratio of coal gangue, the ratio of the coal gangue with clay, mineralization agents, forming process and sintering process on the properties of the fabricated glass-ceramics were optimized. The utilization ratio of coal gangue reached 75, and the ratio of coal gangue to clay was 3/1, as an optimal property was observed. The optimal sintering temperature was found to be 1370?C. At this optimal temperature, the sintered glass-ceramics showed the main phase of mullite and spindle and so showed high strength, low density, and low water absorbance. The appropriate amounts of codoping of the TiO2, ZnO, and MnO2/dolomite as mineralization agents obviously enhanced the properties of the glass-ceramics. Process optimizations further determined reasonable and optimal process parameters. The high strength lightweight glass-ceramics fabricated in this work may be very suitable for various applications including building materials, cooking ceramics, and proppant materials, et al.

Waste vegetable oil, mainly coming from frying residues, can be used as raw material to obtain a diesel fuel (biodiesel). Biodiesel, a nontoxic, biodegradable, diesel-like fuel, is an important energy alternative capable of decreasing environmental problems caused by the consumption of fossil fuels. The utilization of waste vegetable oils as raw material in biodiesel production was studied. Research was undertaken to establish the availability of used vegetable oil to supply a biodiesel process. It is intended that this work forms an academic study combined with an environmental and technological analysis of the merits of biodiesel as a sustainable fuel. Laboratory experimentation investigated the possibility of using waste vegetable oil from the local fast food chains, and potassium hydroxide as catalyst for the transesterification process. The cleaned waste vegetable oil undergoes transesterification for 4 hours, after which, the biodiesel is separated from the glycerin by gravity. Washing is necessary to remove residual catalyst or soap. Overall material balance for the process gives: 1 kg Waste Vegetable oil + 0.18 kg EtOH + 0.01 kg KOH → 0.74 kg Biodiesel + 0.44 kg Glycerin The biodiesel, in pure form (B100) and in 50% proportion (B50) with petroleum diesel, was run in an essentially unmodified Toyota 2C diesel engine. Smoke density (opacity) and CO exhaust emission both decreased with B50. However, Nox increased with B50. Fuel consumption during engine power testing is significantly greater using the biodiesel, but is also significantly reduced with B50.
