The article, basing on the analysis of selected media texts with reference to narrative from the leading Ukrainian newspapers «Dzerkalo Tyzhnia» (Weekly Mirror), «Den» (Day), «Ukraina Moloda» (Young Ukraine) for 2016–2020, the semantic and content characteristics of the «narrative», «strategic narrative», «small narratives» nominations has established; the directions of the semantic realization of the meaning of the narrative and its possibilities in the process of international strategic communications aimed at both external and internal audience, are outlined. It is proved that the main task of a strategic, or national, narrative is a reasoned explanation to the state population and interested audiences of specific realities, intentions, plans; justification of certain directions of state activity aimed at partners, at opponents and those occupying a neutral position.

There are divided the spheres of use of different narratological nominations: in international communications and in scientific discourse, the conceptual foundations of state identity and international interaction are referred to as strategic narrative or grand narrative, in publicistic discourse the narrative nomination is used, more rarely – historical narrative, national narrative.

The scientific novelty of the research is that the focus is on the media aspect of the use of one of the key concepts of strategic communications and the role of the media in its implementation.

The main general scientific methods used in this article are descriptive and comparative ones, as well as analysis and synthesis. The following empirical methods were also used: solid selection method (solid selection method for allocation texts with the «narrative» lexeme; quantitative method of content analysis with elements of qualitative one – for characterizing the semantic of the «narrative» term).

The results of the study can be used in the complex research of the technology of international strategic communications and in the practical activity of specialists in international strategic communications, a new trend in Ukraine, which is currently under active institutionalization.
Key words: international strategic communications, propaganda, narrative, strategic narrative, grand narrative, «small narratives».

This article discusses how to construct a curvilinear trajectory for a four-wheeled machine with front steered wheels. Important effects on curvilinear motion are phenomena such as slipping and skidding, which in turn influence the construction of the trajectory. Knowing how the movement of the wheels affects the movement, we can accurately construct the trajectory, namely the entrance and exit of the turn. The main task we wanted to solve was to find the easiest ways to construct a curved trajectory of the machine. It is known that the angle between the velocity vector of the wheel and the positive direction of the axis of the tractor corresponding to the neutral position of the wheels is called the angle of withdrawal. It is also known that the deflection angles arising from the curvilinear movement of wheeled vehicles due to tire deformation distort the trajectory of motion and have a significant effect on the controllability of the machine up to its complete loss. Therefore, it is no coincidence that a large number of works is devoted to investigating the causes of the emergence of angles and their dependence on various factors. Tire theory is taught throughout the course of this subject, but nevertheless it cannot be assumed that the phenomenon has been sufficiently studied so that it can be confidently used in determining trajectories, which is especially important in the development of methods of automatic control of the vehicle . The angle of rotation of the wheels depends on many factors, and often these dependencies are quite complex.

Uzbekistan is one of the most active countries in the migration process. In this process, she participates as a donor country. The problem of migrants is directly related to economic and political factors. However, the media, especially online publications, play a special role in shaping attitudes towards him. Analytical articles of Uzbek researchers and foreign publications on this topic were chosen as a theoretical basis for the work. The article discusses topical articles of leading online publications such as Kun.uz, Daryo.uz, Qalampir.uz Analysis and synthesis of the general research methodology were used as methodological tools. The article examines the attitude of Internet publications to this process, the degree of disclosure of this topic, the role of Internet publications and modern technologies in the process and coverage of this process. In addition to labor migrants, the issue of “brain drain” was also covered in online publications. The problem of “refugees” was not ignored either, and it seems that it has not been widely disseminated in Uzbek Internet publications. The publications are dedicated to Russian labor migrants, and the materials are full of sympathy for them. It was studied how the situation of labor migrants in a pandemic is reflected in Internet publications. Migration is mainly covered in the news genre, followed by interviews and analytical articles. According to the results of the article, Uzbek Internet publications have made significant progress in this area in recent years (3 years). It has become clear that they are taking a broader and more open approach to the problem of migration and are listening to the plight of migrants. However, it was also noted that the role of bloggers is different from that of online publications. If the problem of refugees in the European media began to attract more serious attention after the tragic death of Aylan Kurdi, in the Uzbek media the situation intensified after the tragedy in Aktobe.

The article is devoted to the problem of land tenure and land use by the Buryat population in the Trans-Baikal region at the beginning of the XX century, before the formation of the BMASSR, which became the main one in the self-preservation of the ethnos. If the national movement and the struggle for autonomy have been well studied in historiography, the regulation of land relations is the main motive for activating the national movement and the demand for autonomy. The article is based on published and unpublished materials of the Burnatskom, the Far Eastern Republic and the Buryat-Mongolian Autonomous Region. The author used microhistorical approach, as well as historical, narrative and comparative methods, which made it possible to study the historical events of 1900–1923 in the field of land relations in Transbaikalia against the historical background of events taking place in the country, in close connection with changes in political conditions and the formation of administrative and state structures. It was believed that the Buryats had more land, therefore at the beginning of the 20th century. According to the land reform, the withdrawal to the “state colonization fund” for the resettlement of immigrants increased and the unauthorized seizure of the land of the Buryats by Russian peasants during the revolutionary period increased. The tsarist government reduced the land holdings of the Buryats in order to switch them to agricultural economy, despite the ineffectiveness of its distribution. A great inconvenience for land use was the artificially created striped distribution of land between the Buryat and Russian populations. The problems of land tenure and land use became one of the incentives of the national movement and the formation of its governing body – the Buryat National Committee (Burnatskom), whose main task was the establishment of national autonomy, within which land problems must be resolved. Burnatskom managed to create an aimak administration, which was able to exist during the period of the Provisional Government, and during the years of the civil war. With the formation of the Buryat-Mongolian Autonomous Region as part of the Far Eastern Republic, the problem of land tenure and land use by the Buryat population remained open in connection with the continuing seizure of Buryat lands by Russian peasants. Despite the new legislation of the Far Eastern Republic and the RSFSR, the land issue in the BMAO was not resolved. Keywords: Trans-Baikal region, Buryats, land use, land tenure, national movement, Burnatskom, Buryat- Mongolian Autonomous Region

The media industries are becoming increasingly reliant on amateur labour, and Australia's highest rating television program, MasterChef Australia, is no exception. The show's grand narrative of ‘making over’ home cooks into professionals is at odds with its calculatedly ambivalent representation and deployment of the trope of the amateur. This article proposes that MasterChef is instead invested in deferring the attainment of professional status so as to ensure the continued provision of inexpensive labour and content provided by amateurs.

Role of Media in Students' Life and Their Environmental Education: A Survey of Students Aged 13 to 17Finding solutions to the problems of environmental protection and nature conservation, developing and performing environmentally conscious behaviour have become the main task of recent decade, this equally involves political, economic and social spheres. Beyond networking between these spheres, the media have to undertake a specific role in solving the above-mentioned problems and also attaining sustainability. A survey was conducted among 234 students between the age of 13-17, searching for the answers what connections students have to the media and whether and to what extent they are reached by the thematic channels and television programmes related to the environment and nature. It is argued that to deal with the issues raised by the results of the survey, a module dealing with environmental protection and nature conservation based on the application of different elements of media should be created for Hungarian schools.

This article examines the nature of the origin, definitions and functional principles of so-called fake news – reports that are deliberately false in nature which can create a stir in society around a non-existent informational case born ofthesamenews source.Incombinationwithviraltechnologiesandmechanisms of distribution in the media and social networks, fake news in modern political campaigns is becoming a dangerous tool for influencing mass consciousness of societies. The main task of fake news in modern political campaigns and processes is interception of the political agenda, with its subsequent closure to the news feed generated by the fake news itself, as well as creation of general excitement around the given news story. This present article seeks to review and analyse the academic debates on the what (definition), how (operationalization) and why (motivation) questions pertaining to the fake news phenomena. These aspects are then combined to generate the beginnings of creating a conceptual taxonomy to understand this highly topical and emotive concept.

The Ukrainian phraseology is constantly evolving; the obsolete and infrequent phraseologisms disappear, instead the new phraseologisms appear and the traditional ones are being updated, changed and evolved. At the same time, not only the component composition of phraseological richness of the Ukrainian language is being changed, but also the understanding of the concept “phraseologism”, which determines the relevance of our research and explains its objective – to ascertain which phraseologisms are used by the media in order to attract the reader’s attention and to find out the transformations that occur with traditional phraseologisms in the modern editions. Among the methods used to conduct the research, one can mention firstly the general scientific methods: descriptive method; analysis and synthesis; typologization. Along with general scientific methods, a modern methodology was used to study effectiveness of use of modified phrasemes in the modern media: a discourse analysis, which included the study of interrelations of the text or its unit with other elements and texts, dependence of the text on speech, social and political situation. The study also used a content analysis method aimed at collecting quantitative data about the phenomenon which allowed drawing the objective conclu-sions about the spread and use of phrasemes in the headlines complex. The article deals with phraseologisms as an actively used language trope in the modern print and online media. It has been found out that in the modern periodicals the phraseologisms become an effective tool for attracting the reader’s attention through emotionally-expressive component. The phraseme modification processes that contribute to the relevance of these language constuc-tions are analyzed. The phraseme modification techniques are investigated: complete or partial modification of semantics, adding author’s comment, spreading a phraseologism with the help of new components. It is determined that a large part of phraseme used in online media is formed as a result of transformation of traditional stable units through spreading their compo-nent composition, complete or partial modification of semantics.
