This article is examines the issues of constructive use of the myths about the past in media environment. The goal lies in the attempt to align several most significant theoretical models of interpretation of the social myth in order to comprehend constructive use of myths about the past in modern Russian politics of memory. This required referring to the peculiarities of the ontology of the past in media myth, as well as to the trends characteristic to modern foreign and Russian research of the politics of memory. The scientific novelty lies in the detailed analysis of the key categories that reveal the peculiarities of creating ontology of the past in modern media myth, as well as allow analyzing the constructive potential of myths about the past in media environment in the context of the Russian politics of memory (the function of cultural-historical orientation, motivating function, functions of conflict settlement). The author explores myths about the past, which in recent decades have become a crucial instrument for conducting a peculiar type of information warfare – the so-called “memorial” wars.

The purpose of the Article. The article is devoted to the study of modern media resources as ways of communication between an accordionist-performer and the audience on the example of using the world’s most popular social networks: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram. The research methodology involves the use of methods of analysis and synthesis, systematization, generalization. Scientific novelty. Defining the components of the digital compass of a domestic accordionist in the context of the digital strategy of Europe. Conclusions. The study showed that in the creative activity of musicians, including accordionists, there is a rapid development of the latest means of communication. The online media, which are most often used in the music sphere, are characterized, the specifics of the content of popular social networks depending on the target audience are analyzed on specific examples. The main problems associated with the use of the latest methods of communication by domestic artists have been identified: a lower level of activity in the Internet space compared to foreign artists, as well as a “digital divide” between different generations. The “Digital Compass of a Modern Accordionist” has been proposed as a tool for solving the above problems, and its components have been identified. The article is devoted to the study of the question of the existence of post-dramatic performances in the modern media environment, in particular, the media formats of site-specific performances are studied. The purpose of this study is to identify the mechanisms of interactivity, performativity and immersiveness in the media formats of post-drama theater. The article raises the question regarding the meaning of the media format concept used in media studies in its connection with theatrical practices. The basic components of the concept of media format are the technical characteristics and focus on the target public. The chosen methodology allows us to characterize the technical capabilities of modern media formats for creating the effects of performativity, interactivity and immersiveness. The empirical basis of the research is the podcast The Theater of Everyday Life. Site-Specific Performances for Everyday Places and Routes in the mobile application Yandex Music and performances in the application Mobile Art Theater. The article draws conclusions concerning the influence of technical and verbal means of interaction used in mobile applications and in VR performances on the emergence of the effects of performativity and immersiveness in the minds of the audience. It is pointed out that the mechanics of the performances under consideration are connected with the concepts of A. Artaud and H.-T. Lehman, in particular, draw a conclusion about the role of the audience in such performances.

The article presents the results of a content analysis of negative publications about the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation, distributed on the Internet for 9 months of 2021. From them, information with signs of discrediting was selected and analyzed, as a result of which communicative features (subject composition, transmission channels, content, communicative intentions of the authors) discrediting the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation (employees) were revealed. From the obtained generalized picture, it follows that discrediting as a strategy in the fight against the legitimate activities of law enforcement agencies is actively used in the modern media space. In this regard, it is important to develop adequate measures to counter this negative social phenomenon by the information and public relations departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The aim of this article is to analyze the most important opportunities and threats related to the use of modern media in the process of educating and educating the gene- ration known as “digital natives”. This generation is considered to be a generation that treats modern technological, communication and information solutions as something natural. This feature can be used effectively in school. For this to happen, however, it is necessary to properly planned and implemented media education, which will allow to take advantage of the opportunities and eliminate the risks associated with the use of digital technology by young people.

This article addresses the issues of organizing the communicative space of modern media. The main focus is on considering the names of podcasts - audio blogs on the Internet - in terms of the various language techniques used in them. The material for the study was podcasts operating on the platforms of the Internet site YouTube and the social network Vkontakte in Russia. 9 groups of podcast titles were identified by the type of reception underlying each name. It has been established that the corpus of titles in the podcasting industry is characterized by a wide variety. Among them, original names predominate, built on the basis of a language game, precedent texts, borrowings from other languages, stylistically marked words or implicit meaning, metaphorical, symbolic, ironic component embedded in them, which work on the implementation of a contact-establishing strategy for subsequent communication between mediators and the audience listeners.

This article examines the frames used by Pakistani news media while covering a political protest in 2019 on Twitter. The study deploys quantitative content analysis based on thematic framing, episodic framing, genre, types and subject matter of tweets. In recent years, there has been growing recognition of the use of Twitter in political and protest communication. Twitter is a platform with the potential to manage and coordinate protest activities and movements effectively. The current study is carried out to demonstrate the importance of one of the aspects of political protest communication. Tweets (N = 498) posted between 20 October and 20 November 2019 by three mainstream Pakistani media organizations ( Dawn, The News, Express Tribune) were collected and analysed. Results show that straight news was used more in episodic frames by the media organizations on Twitter. Results of the study add to the increasing body of studies showing that media outlets have also embraced modern media to use frames while covering political issues.

The purpose. The peculiarities of the use of linear images in the visual environment are investigated. Their influence on human perception and relevance of their use in design and art is determined. Methodology. General scientific research methods are used: analytical, typological, comparative analysis are used to determine the lines and their application in advertising and design. Results.Linear images differ against the background of modern media space. The use of linear, schematic, simplified images and their assimilation appeals to the historical development of human perception, which allows such images to be perceived on a subconscious level, without requiring concentration and distraction from other activities. Trends in the development of linear images in human perception are analyzed. The use of lines in various types of fine arts is emphasized and revealed. The scientific novelty. To consider the lines as a tool for visual emphasis of facilities and distribution lines in various forms of art. Their historical development and significance for human activity are established. Practical significance. The study allows to expand knowledge about the use of lines in modern and elite areas of art. The obtained results can be used in further studies of linear visual solutions.
