This article has investigated the perceptions about the educational use of the Google Workspace (formerly Google Suite) of a group of 131 students who are studying Communication Sciences and Digital Communication degrees at a University Center in the province of Seville, Spain. The main objective of the research was to collect and analyse the educational experience and the competences developed by these students with this software suite in university education. To do so, a descriptive research was designed based on a quantitative and qualitative analysis using an online questionnaire. The results showed that these university students value favourably the interface and services provided by this platform, especially Meet, Documents, Gmail, Classroom and Presentations. However, they perceive that other applications, such as Keep, Jamboard or Tasks, are not very useful. In short, blended learning models proposed by Google Workplace have proven useful in the university field, and that students have adapted adequately to the new learning environment.

We describe our experience of using the following mathematical tools: an e-learning platform (Moodle), several components of the WIRIS software suite for mathematics education (the formula editor, WIRIS CAS, and WIRIS-Quizzes), the dynamical geometry package GeoGebra, the computational knowledge engine Wolfram Alpha, and the mathematics software system SAGE. Our aim in this chapter is two-fold: on the one hand, we report the use of these tools in Math refresher courses. On the other, we provide sufficient information about them for readers to decide on the usefulness of these tools in their own particular context (maybe different from that of a refresher course). More specifically, for each tool we give a general description, some comments on its use in Math refresher courses, and a list of (general) advantages and drawbacks.

This research report is intended to give evidence of the work done by the members of the UDG-CA-919 innovation, technology and education, given the concern of the low degree rates in postgraduate courses offered at the University Center of the North (CUNorte) of the University of Guadalajara, through the design, development and implementation of the Diploma in Informational and Digital Competencies. The dynamic that was carried out for the realization of this study was the description and analysis of three stages of work: definition of the program, design and development of the diploma (hosted on the Moodle learning platform). The contribution of this report reflects the results of the design of a program that provides adequate informational and digital competencies to foment the construction of research projects for students and graduates of CUNorte postgraduates through the integration of an instructional design (ADDIE model), teaching strategies and use of technological tools through the design of the diploma that provides significant skills and learning; and its development for its implementation.

The advent of e-learning has been a welcomed development in African universities, especially in countries where the demand for university education far outstrips capacity. This form of instruction not only has helped in reducing the problem of managing and testing large classes, but it also has helped lecturers in providing valuable assistance to students who would otherwise not have such access. The limitations of the e-learning platform coupled with a distorted student-teacher ratio has raised concerns about quality, especially for traditional humanities disciplines where the emphasis on argumentative rigor and critical thinking are at odds with the science-leaning orientation of e-learning platforms. This concern is especially important because the technology is relatively new and there are problems of access not only in terms of infrastructure but also in terms of the relevant computer literacy skills required of users of the technology. This essay examines the problems associated with the use of e-learning in teaching and examining traditional humanities courses in general but especially the problems encountered in using e-learning in teaching and assessing critical thinking courses at the University of Botswana. I argue that although certain aspects of e-learning are structured, confining, and therefore unsuitable for traditional humanities disciplines, e-learning can still be an appropriate tool for the humanities if used appropriately and creatively.

Purpose: The key purpose of the study is to understand the university students' perception of a sudden distance learning platform from Bangladesh (a least developed countries' perspective). Research methodology: This particular study has employed a qualitative research method with the support of interview and observation methods. The study has selected 20 University students as a sample size based on purposive sampling. Results: The findings provide a vivid outline of the current situation of the universities- that the students have- over the influence of distance learning on education, technology, their university, course instructors, and themselves. Limitations: The data was qualitative in nature and the study only interviewed the university students but not the other stakeholders of that system; in addition, the study did not triangulate the data with more quantitative data. Contribution: The study makes an important contribution to the literature on the least developed countries' university education, which will benefit Higher Education institutions that are also struggling with the prospects and obstacles of distance learning during and in the post-Covid-19 crisis.

The purpose of this research is to review the teacher certification program (PPG) policy as an improvement in educational quality or merely a constellation of power. The method used is a descriptive research method with documentary analysis. The PPG program, both pre-service and in-service, contains a constellation of power. It can be seen from some notes. Firstly, there is no follow-up from the PPG program. Secondly, the results of interviews by the researchers reveal that the materials provided in this program are not different from those given at the university. Thirdly, even though PPG pre-service is aimed at improving the quality of prospective teachers based on the indicators specified in the program, why do teacher training and education universities not prepare their students to be quality teachers? if they do not do so, why they do not improve the concepts and learning in lectures at their respective universities instead of adding new programs. Fourthly, there are no similar programs in countries with quality education, such as Finland, South Korea, Japan and so on. Fifthly, the tests in the admission process only administer tests that indirectly measure the cognitive level

The evolution of society brings new requirements for the citizen of tomorrow and consequently to the future's school. It is the duty of every society to worry about the support provided for the citizen's construction. The school being a key in the development of the individual, the main actors of this system must be properly supported in their training. The reform concerning training of teachers in Morocco is a part of the professionalization process through the creation of Regional Centers of Educational Professions and Training (CRMEF) who have a qualifying mission. These centers complement the training begun in the university education tracks (FUE). Previous training of Moroccan teacher who was held in the teacher training schools (ENS) included a significant practical training. However, capitalization of experiences from one year to another was insufficient. Leaving few traces the efforts made were not shown at fair value. In this work, we stopped on training, coaching and evaluation methods used on the Master specialized on educational professions provided in teacher training school (ENS) which is an institution in Cadi Ayyad University at Marrakesh. In this context, we propose a system which takes into account the different components of the activity of training. We assume that one of the advantages of this device is the reflexive dimension brought by the competence approach both for the teacher and the student. A second interest lies in the method adopted to evaluate the productions of trainees, like a competency referential to validate through a distance learning platform.

Abstract:With the development of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) universities strengthen their courses with technological tools, including learning platforms. The University Center of Valleys of the University of Guadalajara (Cuvalles) combines presencialidad with online activities developed through the Moodle platform. This platform is fundamental to the institution, since students attending only two or three days a week to classrooms and they develop other activities of their courses through the platform tolos. The research was conducted in order to know how students from different degrees of this University Center used these tools. To do this in a first phase an online questionnaire was completed, performing an analysis of the results obtained by undergraduate and comparing each other; in a second phase interviews was developed with students and in third the results of questionnaires and interviews were integrated to analyze a whole, finding relevant information on the tools used, frequency of use, why they use… The results will improve the use of Moodle tools in this institution, may note that for students of various degrees is beneficial to use Moodle tools because can easily access support materials, communication tools, monitoring their progress the days not attending Cuvalles addition to supporting their learning. Nonetheless, it is detected that is not sufficiently exploited, it therefore seems necessary to establish strategies to help promote proper use of them.

Under the influence of globalization, the inevitable convergence of initially different educational and scientific structures occurs, which leads to a change in the methods, forms and technologies for the production of fundamental knowledge. In the changed sociocultural conditions, domestic universities are often required to do so much that they are not able to give an adequate answer to the challenges of our time. The paper compares the most successful world conceptions of university education development in the conditions of the emerging knowledge society, reveals the positive elements of the historical development of the domestic university system, identifies constraints that impede the development of the university in Russian socio-cultural conditions.
