Background: The achieving target of exclusive breast milk in Indonesia has not been achieved. The unsuccessful approval of exclusive breastfeeding is partly due to the mother's reasons for the inadequacy of milk production. Physiologically, oxytocin and prolactin are responsible for the smooth production of breast milk. The release of the hormone oxytocin in addition to being transferred by stimulation to the nipple through the baby's mouth or through spinal massage. Application of back massage techniques or oxytocin massage to provide stimulation that is expected to increase patient comfort, prevent oxytocin release, and increasing milk production. Methods: This research is a quasi-experimental design with a time series design and a control time series design. The sample this study were 15 postpartum mothers treated group and 15 postpartum mothers in the control group. Data was collected by the method of intervention and direct observation on the frequency of urinating infants. Data analysis using repeated ANOVA test. Results: Based on the results of research on the frequency of urinating in the control group had an average of 5.6 and a treatment group of 6.9. This is reinforced by the value of p=0.0001 (p<0.005) which means that there is an effect of giving back massage to increase milk production in postpartum mothers. Conclusion: This study suggests that giving back massage techniques to postpartum mothers as an alternative to increase milk production in postpartum mothers and included as one of the basic care for postpartum mothers since the first day after childbirth.

Women who suffer perineal trauma in spontaneous labor experience pain and edema as the most common problems on the first day after delivery. Impaired mobility and a limited ability to carry out daily activities will affect the mother-baby bond. The study of the cold sitz bath intervention and infrared treatment aims to find out how these interventions can overcome the pain of perineal wounds in postpartum mothers. A quasi-experimental design was used to assess both interventions for treating pain in perineal trauma at the Madina Clinic and Sundari Hospital. The sample consisted of 40 mothers, 20 in the cold sitz bath (intervention group) and 20 in the infrared therapy (control group). Pain was measured using a numerical scale from day one to day three of the postpartum period and then the data were analyzed using the paired t-test statistical test. The results of this study revealed that the cold sitz bath hydrotherapy had a significant effect in reducing pain (p = 0.004), as well as infrared therapy (0.008). Although on the third day of the postpartum period, infrared therapy did not significantly reduce the pain level; several other factors could contribute to the significant differences in pain intensity reduction such as comfort, convenience, and the economic value of the intervention.

Back Massage technique combined with holistic aromatherapy treatment can be an effective therapy for postnatal mothers to increasing breast milk production. This study aims to analyze the effect of Miyik-miyikan aromatherapy on back massage. The increase of breast milk production in postpartum mothers can be seen from the baby’s weight gain. This study was conducted at an inpatient Primary Health Center in Denpasar, in June-October to 30 mothers. This study was designed in a quasi-experimental pre-posttest control group with a time series approach. The observation of the baby’s weight gain and breastfeeding satisfaction starts from day 1, day 7, and day 14 after delivery. This study was analyzed using the Kruskal Wallis Test and the Mann Whitney test. The result of the study showed that the Kruskal Wallis test is p <0,05, meaning that there was a difference in breast milk production in the two groups of intervention. Additionally, the Mann Whitney test showed the difference of baby weight on the 7th day to those in the Miyik-miyikan and Cananga group, and on the 14th day in the Cananga, Miyik-miyikan, and Champak group. Thus, the use of Miyik-miyikan aromatherapy on a back massage can be done earlier after delivery
