The city of Baghdad suffers from horizontal expansion resulting from the large increase in population, and the consequent increase in the demand for energy and food and increase the introduction of carbon dioxide. Therefore, Baghdad has become overcrowded and suffers from bottlenecks, especially in the city center, resulting in design problems, poor infrastructure and lack of accounts for energy consumption or the amount of renewable energy produced. Due to the lack of research and studies that dealt with this subject, the research problem of (the scientific need to reach the elements of the ecological footprint that leads to the sustainability of Baghdad city) resulted in the research hypothesis that the ecological footprint has an impact on the sustainability of the city of Baghdad. The research has identified the following objectives: To study, understand and provide scientific knowledge about the ecological footprint with its various components. As well as access to the ecological footprint and biological capacity and its impact on the sustainability of the city of Baghdad. This will be addressed through a study of the ecological footprint, its components and components, and the study of some global examples of the applications of ecological footprint in the sustainability of the city, ending with fingerprinting and the biological capacity of Baghdad city and the practical application of ecological footprint indicators in Baghdad city sustainability.

Due to the lack of research and studies on this subject, the research problem has resulted from the scientific need to reach the ecological footprint leads to the sustainability of the city urban design. The research has identified the following objectives: To study, understand and provide scientific knowledge about the ecological footprint with its various components, as well as to reach the variables that affect them, which lead to the sustainability of the city urban design. This will be addressed through the study of the sustainable urban design of the city to the most important problems in the cities and the study of the ecological footprint and its components and components, ending with the practical application of the ecological footprint in the sustainability of urban design of the city to reach the most important indicators of the impact of ecological footprint on the sustainability of the city urban design.

In Liepaja, until 1703 economic developed on the Trade Port channel’s southern embankment. The main traffic flow changed his direction: from the port to the New Market leads Great (Latvian: Lielā) Street, at which end a wooden bridge was built over the channel. In the 19th century, the Administrative Center formed at the New Market Square’s vicinity. Streets connected squares and green structures in a united system. The Rose Square was set up instead the New Market. During World War II, the building at embankments and Great Street was destroyed. Using the Master Plan, approved in 1950, architect Vladimir Kruglov created the Detailed Plan for developed of Liepaja Center and Great Street. A reinforced-concrete bridge was built across the channel. Until the 100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of Latvia, the bridge was expanded, but Great Street was reconstructed. The object of the research – the city center of Liepaja and Great Street. Research problem – architectural changes of the city center of Liepaja and Great Street has studied not sufficiently. Research novelty – architectural analysis of the city center of Liepaja and Great Street. The goal of the research – to determine the typical changes in planning of the city center and Great Street in the context of Liepaja urban development. Main methods applied – analysis of archive documents, projects and cartographic materials of urban planning, as well as study of published literature and inspection of buildings in nature.

This study discusses the application of a Sundanese cosmology called tritangtu in the arrangement of the city of Cianjur. Tritangtu is a concept of the existence of a universal triple pattern in all aspects of human life, where the focus of this discussion is tritangtu in the world or "three patterns in the world". Research on the continuation of urban planning from the Hindu-Buddhist period to the Islamic-Colonial period has basically never been done, so that is the novelty aspect of this research. The research steps used in answering the formulation of the research problem include data collection, analysis, interpretation. Based on the research conducted in this study, the city of Cianjur has applied two cosmological concepts at two levels, namely micro and macro. At the micro level, which includes the city center, it is arranged according to the cosmological rules of Islamic cities in Java. The spatial arrangement seen in the city of Cianjur at the macro level is known to follow the rules of the tritangtu concept.

Introduction. The paper discusses the problems of organizing the vehicles’ parking near large shopping centers and also describes their relevance, taking into account the transport services of retail outlets and residence places. The authors present the research of the problem by leading scientists, which is reflected in the regulatory documentation.Materials and methods. The authors used a mathematical description of the average parking duration and identified the main affecting factors, taking into account the proportion of workers in the mass gravity center. The authors proposed a mathematical dependence based on the average parking duration, taking into account reservation of parking places for workers and the required number of parking spaces for other categories. The paper considered the possibility of the intra-hour deficit of parking places based on the PHF-factor.Results. As a result, the authors made the comparison of the obtained values of the required parking spaces with the standard ones. The paper provided more than 30 types of mass gravity centers and urban areas. In addition, the authors considered the examples of assessing the required number of parking spaces near a large housing estate at the 8 km distance from the city center. Therefore, the authors proposed the technique for assessing the required number of parking spaces based on normative values per 100 m2 of the area of the mass gravity centers.Discussion and conclusions. The authors present recommendations are made for the practical application of the required number of parking spaces by the normative values.Financial transparency: the authors have no financial interest in the presented materials or methods. Cities are organisms that live in a balance of continuity with the structures they possess and the urban open spaces that connect them. For this organism, staying alive and healthy is possible if urban dwellers, who are the users, utilize the spaces in a manner that preserves their integrity and locate each space in mental perception. Research problem/aim; Squares, which are one of the urban open spaces, are the breathing centers of the city that play important roles in maintaining this integrity. This study aims to test the relation of squares and pedestrian movement for each square and for the whole historical city. Method; In the present study examining the squares and their relationships in the historical city center of Konya province, 7 squares that have a semantic relationship resulting from being located on a specific axis with one another were analyzed with respect to pedestrian use and the respective physical characteristics of the squares. The main criteria defined in the study constitute the 3 steps of the method. These were identified as function-diversity, accessibility-form and livability–identity. Analyses were conducted based on the 3 established criteria and the 7 sub-criteria that measure the relationships among these at certain levels. Each analysis constitutes a step of the method and enables to achieve a result by using different measurement techniques. In the context of the analyses and findings, qualitative and quantitative studies such as a questionnaire study, land use, dominant land use, function diversity, global and local accessibility, form and geometry, urban open space and symbolic elements analyses were conducted for each square. Findings, Conclusions; As a result of this study carried out with the aim of reinforcing urban continuity and enhancing the relationship among squares, the primary data for each square were obtained and suggestions were presented for eliminating the deficiencies. With the implementation of these suggestions, the holistic perception of the squares, which are focal points located within the historical city center, will be stronger and these squares will have more enhanced functional and semantic connections with one another. In this way, significant contributions will be made regarding the users’ getting to know the city center, the use of squares for different needs and the protection of the integrity of the historical city center with regard to cultural identity.

Abstract The idea of a car-free city represents a solution to the problem of fuel consumption and air pollution caused by the use of cars and replaces the idea of owning and using private cars with an efficient transportation system, and it doesn’t mean living without cars, because cars have become an integral part of a modern city. On the contrary, people can still drive in city but will not park their cars at home. Instead, they park elsewhere on their way home. Research problem: Weak regulation of the movement of vehicles in the center of the holy city of Najaf, which leads to the danger of pedestrian movement in the city center. The aim of the research: to provide a safe and effective movement for pedestrians in the center of the holy city of Najaf. Research hypothesis: The use of the car-free zone strategy in the city center transportation system achieves security for the population in the old city. The research examines reasons behind suggesting free-of-vehicle areas It gives a number of policies to achieve the strategy in the center of the holy city of Najaf, including the provision of public transportation, furniture and comfort for pedestrians in the streets, as well as easy access for the residents of the area. Thus, it is possible to draw the conclusion that there is a possibility to achieve this strategy in religious centers according to a number of policies that suit the specificity of the area.

The article discusses the development trends of the modern preschool education system in the aspect of the activity of the teacherpsychologist of the preschool educational organization. The experience of using 1C software products in the practical work of the psychological service of kindergarten 318 of the city of Perm in the aspects of psychological monitoring of children’s readiness to study at school and correctional and developmental work with preschool children is presented. The components of the child’s psychological readiness for school are described. On practical examples, diagnostic methods for determining the level of readiness of children for schooling are analyzed. The data of testing kindergarten pupils at the beginning of the 2019/2020 school year on the parameters allowing to identify urgent problems and determine the direction of the necessary correctional development work are presented. Features of the practical application of the software product 1C:Preschool Psychodiagnostics in the process of psychological support of preparing children for school are considered. Methods are described, the scope of which is aimed not only at the study of personality traits, but also at its development. The possibilities of using games of the 1C:Educational Collection in the correctional and developmental work are disclosed. The description of game collections is given, options for their use are presented.

City centers worldwide are perceived as essential parts of the city, where city memories are preserved and its identity is expressed. They are planned to satisfy the functional requirements and pleasurable qualities of the city. Under the accelerating urbanization of the modern city, several challenges face these centers including demographic, economic, and environmental challenges. This requires a continuous and incremental urban development process based on clear strategy and action plans. Thus, this study focuses on urban development strategies of city centers, with a focus on Rafah city located in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Territories. The geographic location of this city near the Palestinian-Egyptian borders makes it a promising commercial city at local and regional levels. Thus, the current situation of Rafah city center has been analyzed, and several development strategies have been proposed. This has been done through a field survey based on observation and a questionnaire directed to city center users. It has been found that there is a great potential of Rafah city center to be developed as a commercial center. In this regard, several strategies and required actions have been proposed in the fields of transportation, environmental quality, shopping activities, investment opportunities, and visual perception.
