Effects of different culture media (Bd-2, Bd-3, Bd-4 and IFP), different culture vessels (conical flasks, plastic bowls and earthen pots) and different cultural conditions (stock, pilot plant and shade culture) on coiled and straight filament characteristics of Spirulina were studied. Stock culture maintained under special conditions, retained coiled filament characteristics even after 17 years, while Spirulina filaments in pilot ponds lost their coiled characteristics. Food value of the straight filaments was acceptable and their survival capacity was more than that of coiled filaments. Key words: Spirulina, Media culture, Vessels culture, Cultural condition, Filaments character. DOI = 10.3329/bjsir.v43i3.1152Bangladesh J. Sci. Ind. Res. 43(3), 369- 376, 2008

The 2015 immigration crisis revealed the weak cultural condition Europe finds itself in, given the adoption by a majority of states of a model for development that deliberately severs ties with common civilisational roots. However, while Poles do not really nurture prejudices against either Islam or immigrants, a decided majority of them voiced their unwillingness to accept new (mainly Muslim) arrivals, in the context of a solution to the above crisis the EU was intending to impose. A change of policy was thus forced upon the Union by Poland and other CEECs, given the latter’s strong guiding conviction that pursuit of a multicultural ideology leads to a weakening – rather than any improvement – in the condition of culture in Europe, and hence to a sapping of the continent’s power in the international relations sphere. As the crisis has made clear, the EU will probably have to start taking more account of preferences in this part of Europe. This means opportunities for the political science of religion to research the likelihood of a return to the Christian component of European identity, as well as the role this might play in improving the cultural condition of this part of the world.

Imagining the Mulatta: Blackness in U.S. and Brazilian Media demonstrates how mixed-race women of African and European descent are harnessed in popular media as a tool to uphold white supremacy and discipline people of African descent to uphold state policies of antiblackness. Uncovering the racialized and gendered paradigms of U.S. and Brazilian media, the book uses case studies of texts from a broad range of popular culture media—film, telenovelas, television shows, music videos, magazines, newspapers, and Olympic ceremonies—to elucidate how the U.S. mulatta and Brazilian mulata figures operates within and across the United States and Brazil as a response to racial anxieties and notions of white superiority. These shared concepts of race, gender, and sexuality crystallize in the mulatta/mulata figure as representative of interlinked racial projects in Brazil and the United States. Focusing on popular culture and political events of the 2000s, the book demonstrates how the mulatta and mulata figures facilitated multicultural and postracial discourses. Exploring representations, definitions, and meanings of blackness in the context of the Americas, the book traverses the cultural conditions of racializations in the United States alongside Brazil to unveil the workings of pervasive racial and gender inequalities.

The histological and histochemical changes in developing seeds of Cypripedium debile Rchb. f., a native slipper orchid species with horticultural potential, were investigated. The effects of timing for seed collection, culture media, and cultural conditions were also examined. The optimum germination percentage occurred when mature seeds were collected and sowed on 1/4 Murashige and Skoog basal medium. Besides, the liquid culture promoted germination of mature seeds. This finding is contrary to most other Cypripedium species, which are relatively easy to germinate with immature seeds. Moreover, two notable cytological changes of C. debile were observed. First, the suspensor cell protruded beyond the micropyle opening of the inner seedcoat, making the inner seedcoat not substantial. Second, Nile red staining indicated that the deposition of cuticular material on the seedcoat was fragmentary. It is proposed that the less hydrophobic nature of the seedcoat makes mature seeds of C. debile easier to obtain water and nutrients for germination.

A wave of spiritual seekers can be used as a marker for the presence of a new culture known as culture media. In the era people trying to meet the material and spiritual needs by using technology media, even social media can be used as a place of worship for the people of religion, they discuss, even tafakkur in the virtual and artificial spaces. That's when informationresources become very important meaning in human spiritual fulfillment. Library institute as a resource center, becomes very urgent to be developed and updated in the face of such phenomena. Building a high rise building to build a library is important, but building information systems in the library is much more important. Data and information in the digital age prefers soft data to the material data printed such as books and research journals are printed on a sheet of paper. Then presumably have been urged to develop a digital library at each college, because college is still regarded as a center of knowledge and information, including religious information.

The paper reports on some of the research results and achievements on international scientific projects: "Croatian media communication in a convergent environment" (Faculty of Graphic Arts, University of Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia) and "Strategic Communication Management" (Alma Mater Europaea - EASA, Maribor, Slovenia). The aim of this research work is a paradigmatic presentation and publication of separately selected thematic media research paradigms in a systematic paradigmatic communication chain that affirms culture, media and public relations (Case study: "Media, Culture and Public Relations" (2012-2020)). The paper uses qualitative and quantitative paradigmatic ontological, epistemological, axiological, rhetorical and communication research methodology. Project paradigmatic research was conducted in the time limits from 2012 to 2020. The obtained research results and conducted communication analysis of the essence and form of media communication culture and public relations is a new paradigmatic scientific contribution to the culture of media communication and the advancement of the role and function of public relations in the new inclusive information society.

Since our mission is the collaborative cultivation of a university-wide media culture, in this chapter the authors propose to look at the relation between Self-regulated learning (SRL) and Technology-Enhanced Learning Environments (TELE) from the point of view of a learning organization. The goal is to clarify how to embed TELE-technologies in educational institutions in a collaborative way that sustains and continuously improves the quality of teaching and learning at a university. Our solution is focused around the concept of “university-wide media culture”, a corporate culture for new media that we hope to develop by means of a collaborative instrument called the “Reference Course Model”. The authors begin by screening and summarizing what they consider to be relevant aspects of components of the SRL theory (models, learning strategy, prompting) and continue by introducing the concepts of media culture, media literacy and their relation to TELE and SRL; based on this they then present their idea of what they call a “Reference Course Model”, explaining its theoretical foundation and developing its conceptual features. Finally, they conclude by showing how they have implemented this model in their university and reflect on the experiences collected to-date.
