The purpose of this research to determine the difference in learning outcome and interest of students on chemistry learning between class which applied snowball throwing and class which applied talking stick learning model on nomenclatur of  chemical compounds material in curriculum-2013 of  grade X IPA in  SMA Negeri 10 Bengkulu City. Research conducted is a research with the type of quasi experiment. Analysis of the data used are mean values, normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. Chemistry learning outcome data obtained pretest and posttest value where average improvement value of cognitive learning result for snowball throwing class and talking stick class are 56,970 and 45,606. While the interest of students learning of  both experiment classes procure percentage are 81,567% and 75,373%. The result of t test with significant level (? = 0,05), then got value for tcount   >ttable is 4,734 > 1,669 for learning result and 3,596 > 1,669  for interest learning. The results showed that there were significant differences in learning outcomes and learning interest between classes that applied snowball throwing learning and classes that applied the talking stick learning model.

The average students' chemical learning outcomes are still low, the low learning outcome is influenced by several factors, including students still consider that chemistry as one of the scary, difficult to understand and less interesting lessons. Therefore, the research wants to vary the learning process in the classroom by applying the learning model of Discovery Learning with Group Investigation model. This research was aimed to find out the students’ achievement differences of chemical subject by using Discovery learning and  Group Investigation model. The research is quasi experimental research. The population of this research were class X MIPA in SMAN 9 Bengkulu City, and the sample were X MIPA 2 and MIPA 3. This research using two experimental classes, that is class X MIPA 2 applying Group Investigation model and X MIPA 3 applying Discovery Learning model. Analysis of the data used is mean values, normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. Post-test mean values for first experiment class is 78,12, but for second experiment class is 81,3. To determine whether the differences of student’s learning outcomes between both of experiment classes or not, we use t-test by using the differences between student’s pretest and posttest values, tcount > ttable (2,17 > 1,67). The result of this research showed that Ha accepted, in other words is a significant differences in learning outcomes of student’s applying Discovery Learning and Group Investigation model.

This study aims to determine the differences in student chemistry learning outcomes between classes that apply the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model with a class that applies the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model to chemical compounds. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a population of class X IPA Academic Year 2018/2019 which amounts to 204 students. Samples were obtained from the results of the normality test and homogeneity test, namely class X IPA 4 which applied the STAD learning model with cation anion media and class X IPA 6 which applied the TGT learning model with anion cation card media. This study was conducted in January-March 2019. Analysis of the data used is the average (mean), normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing (u test). In general, the two models were able to improve learning outcomes, where the STAD learning model obtained higher results, namely 79.723. Data on students' chemistry learning outcomes were obtained from the pretest and posttest values where the average value of the increase in cognitive learning outcomes for the STAD class and the TGT class was 57,222 and 46,944. Through a series of statistical tests hypotheses were tested using the u test with a significant level (? <0.05) indicating the value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0,000. This shows that there are significant differences in learning outcomes between classes applying the STAD learning model assisted by anion cation cards with classes that apply the TGT learning model assisted by anion cation cards.

Achievement of learning process can be seen from student cognitive learning outcome. Learning model plays an important role in student cognitive learning achievement. The introduction and implementation of Peer Instruction Flip model and Flipped Classroom are expected to increase the cognitive learning outcomes of students. The research was conducted in SMAN 6 Tangerang on Mei-Juni 2015. The reseach method used was a quasi experiment. The research sample used was XI MIA 1 (Peer Instruction Flip model) and XI MIA 3 (Flipped Classroom model) and XI MIA 2 (STAD model) who collected by Simple Random Sampling. Prerequisite test analysis of normality was the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogeneity test with the Bartlett test. Based on calculation, data obtained was normally distributes and homogeneously. The statistical hypothesis with Anava one way test result on rejected null hypothesis at α 0,05. It can be concluded that there was effect of Peer Instruction Flip and Flipped Classroom learning model toward student cognitive learning outcome in Excretory System material.

This study aims to see whether the learning outcomes of students who are taught with Android-based chemistry learning media are higher than the KKM scores, determine the feasibility of Android-based chemistry learning media developed based on BSNP standards and determine student responses to ChamRaAte media. The media feasibility data and student responses were analyzed descriptively, while the learning outcome data were statistically analyzed with the left side t test. Based on the results of data analysis, the Android-based chemistry learning media developed met the BSNP eligibility standards with an average feasibility of 3.8 with very valid criteria and did not need to be revised. The results of student responses to ChamRaAte media obtained a total percentage of 98%, which means that students received and responded to the media very well. The results of the t test using SPSS 25 obtained sig (2-tailed)> 0.05 (0.142> 0.05) and - t table <t count (-1.729 <1.531), which means that the learning outcomes of students who are taught with Android-based chemistry learning media are higher than KKM value.

The purpose of this study was to increase the learning outcomes of IPA in the Ecosystem Balance mate-rial through the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model for class VI students of SD Negeri 1 Manggeng for the 2017/2018 academic year. The research methodology is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of two findings. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The data collection technique is to collect test scores that are carried out at the end of each lesson in each cycle using a question in-strument (written test). The learning outcome data were analyzed by means of percentage statistics. The results showed that the completeness of student learning outcomes increased from 66,67% in the first cycle and increased to 83,33% in the second cycle. The application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model can increase the learning outcomes of IPA in the Ecosystem Balance material of class VI SD Negeri 1 Manggeng for the 2017/2018 academic year

This study aims to know the influence of active learning model Course Review Horay to biology learning outcomes at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Batam academic year 2013/2014. This research design is  randomized experiment using posttest only control-group design. The study population is all the eighth grade students of  SMP Negeri 10 Batam with reached population consist of 7 classes. The sampling technique using a simple random sampling. Samples were selected class VIII5 as control class and VIII8 as experiment class. The instrument  that use in this research is the form of the test. Requirement have been in the form of normality and homogeneity test, which showed that normal and homogeneous data. Technique of data analysis conducted by the t test. The result analysis of data using the t test showed the tvalue 3.01 and ttable is 2.00 (tvalue > ttable). The results showed that the active learning result model Course Review Horay give effect to increase student learning outcomes from the average of the experimental class 82,57 and control class 76,04. Thus, the hypothesis put forward acceptable significance level (α = 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that the using of active learning model Course Review Horay influential on learning outcomes of biology at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Batam. Keywords: Course Review Horay, Biology Learning Outcomes.

Introduction: Cigarette smoking is a prime risk factor for cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Chronic smoking results in autonomic dysfunction leading to increased cardiovascular risk in smokers. The present study was planned to study the effect of smoking on the Cardiovascular Autonomic Functions among smokers. Materials and Methods: Fifty male subjects who were in the age group of 25 to 45 years. They were grouped into 25 smokers and 25 non-smokers. The participant subjects were selected among the staff members, residents and the patients from the routine OPD in SVIMS. Prior to study, they were informed about the procedure and the purpose of the study tests and written consents were obtained from them. The Cardiovascular Autonomic Function Tests were assessed by using a POLYGRAPH which was available in the department. Results and Conclusion: After applying the ‘t’-test for the difference between the two sample means, it was observed that there was a highly significant difference between the mean values of the BMI(i.e.p<0.01) and the para-sympathetic function tests among the smokers and the non – smokers(i.e.p<0.00). The Resting Heart Rate had significantly increased and the Deep breathing difference, the postural tachycardial index (Response to standing) and the Valsalva Ratio had significantly decreased in the smokers as compared to those in the non – smokers. After applying the ‘t’-test for the difference between the two sample means, it was observed that there was no significant difference between the mean values of the Postural hypotension test (i.e. p>0.05) and that there was a highly significant difference between the mean values of the Sustained handgrip test in the smokers and the non – smokers (i.e. p<0.00). This study aims to determine the effect of Value Clarification Technique (VCT) modeling method on the studnts’ learning outcome in civic education. This study is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The research was conducted in elementary school Number 13 Cingkariang Banuhampu Sub-district of Agam District with class VA as the experimental class and Class VB as the control class. Both classes have twenty five students. The data analysis technique employed was the normality test and homogeneity test, which was then followed by a t-test to see the effect of VCT. The results show that the average pretest score is 38,768 for the experimental class and 41,488 for the control class. The average posstest score is 90,68 for the experimental class and 86,32 for the control class. The result of the t-test shows that the tcount is 1,73 and the ttable on the significance level of 0,05 is 1,6772, which means that tcount&gt;ttable. Therefore, it is concluded that the Value Clarification Technique modeling method affects the students’ learning outcome in civic education in Elementary School Number 13 Cingkariang

      This study aims to determine the effect of the Type STAD Cooperative Learning model on mathematical problem solving abilities. The data collection technique was obtained by means of a test in the form of description questions and documentation in the form of a list of student names. The research instrument used was 3 pre-test and post-test questions. The data analysis technique used is the normality test, homogeneity, t test with the technique of paired samples t-test and independent t-test.      The results showed that, the paired sample t-test on the problem solving ability before and after treatment with STAD obtained an average value of 50.29 to 83.71 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. This means that the students' scores before and after STAD learning have differences in the average mathematical problem solving abilities. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test on the ability to solve mathematical problems before and after treatment using conventional learning models, the average value was 44.57 to 75.79 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. This means that there is a significant increase before and after conventional learning. Based on the results of the independent samples t-test, the mean values were 83.71 and 75.79 with a significance value of 0.009 <0.05. This means that there is a difference in the average problem-solving ability of students in STAD learning with students in conventional learning. It can be concluded that the STAD type of cooperative learning model has an effect on students' problem solving abilities in mathematics.

The study aims at examming 1) the difference of cognitive leraning outcomes between students  who were taught by using cooperative learning model of Make a Match type and the ones taught by using The Power of Two type, 2) the difference of affective learning outcomes between students who were taught by using cooperative learning model of Make a Match type and the ones taught by using the Power of Two type 3) the difference of psychomotor learning outcomes between students who were taught by using cooperative learning model Make a Match type and the ones taught by using The Power of Two type of grade XI students at SMAN 1 Sungguminasa Makassar. The study was a quasi-experiment research which employed the static group pretest posttest design. The study used the experiment group I by implementing cooperative learning model of Make a Match type and the experiment group II by implementing cooperative learning model of The Power of Two type. The instruments of the study were the test of learning outcomes to measure the cognitive learning outcomes, observation sheet to measure affective and psychomotor learning outcomes of the students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic analysis and inferential statistic analysis (uji t α = 0,05 ) supported by SPSS 17.0 for windows program. that the result using The Power of Two was higher than the one using The Power of Two.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dengan kooperatif tipe The Power of Two pada siswa kelas XI SMAN. 1 Sungguminasa Makassar 2) Mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar afektif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dengan kooperatif tipe The Power of Two pada siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Sungguminasa Makassar 3) Mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar psikomotorik siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dengan The Power of Two pada siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Sungguminasa Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan The static Group Pretest Posttest Design. Instrumen penelitian berupa Tes Hasil Belajar (THB) untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif, dan lembar observasi untuk mengukur hasil belajar afektif dan psikomotorik siswa. Data dianalisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial (Uji t α = 0,05) dengan bantuan program SPSS 17.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran The Power of Two lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match 2) Hasil belajar afektif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Make a Match lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two 3) Hasil belajar psikomotorik siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Make a Match lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two.
